Taylor was nominated for Outstanding Lead Performance for her role as Inez de la Paz in the movie. While on the red carpet of the Gotham Awards, Taylor wore a tight-fitting black dress. As always, Taylor’s look was a serve. However, fans began to speculate on social media that the singer is pregnant.
Taylor caught wind of the comments, and took to Instagram herself to clear the air. Per HipHopDx, Taylor explicitly stated that she is not pregnant, however, appeared bloated as she really needed to use the bathroom.
“Auntey ain’t preggo y’all! I just had to pee,” Taylor commented on a post on Hollywood Unlocked‘s Instagram post. “Y’all know that pee pouch ain’t nothing to play wit. My kangaroo pouch ass.”

On November 22, 2023, additional information that was meant to be concealed, saw the light of day. After obtaining new legal documents, TMZ broke the news that Teyana Taylor secretly moved to end her marriage with Iman Shumpert. According to the documents, the “Gonna Love Me” singer made the move to divorce Shumpert in January 2023. Furthermore, details from the documents allege that the former basketball player was “treating her cruelly and displaying extreme narcissistic behavior throughout the majority of their marriage.”
In detail, Taylor accused him of being jealous of her fame, and feeling insecure about being with her. Sources tell TMZ that Taylor initially wanted to keep the case private for as long as possible. They shared that the singer used initials when she first filed the case. However, Shumpert allegedly opted to use their full names in his recent filing in the divorce proceedings. As a result, their identities were no longer hidden.
Subsequently, two days after the news broke, Taylor addressed it via an Instagram story. In a new report from TMZ, it has been revealed that the two are no longer living together. A TikTok Video Resurfaces
According to the leaked court documents, Taylor mentioned feeling the need to “dim her light” and cited instances of “jealousy.” The singer’s ex-assistant, who goes by @Klatschhh, also took to TikTok, reenacting what allegedly transpired between Taylor and Shumpert in 2021.
The videos suggest that Taylor staged a hospitalization due to the mental strain caused by her husband’s infidelity. Furthermore, it was claimed that Taylor canceled a show due to allegedly being intoxicated on cocaine.
Fans on Twitter (X) have been shocked by this news as one user (@ladidaix) stated: “I genuinely feel so bad for her. Teyana doesn’t deserve any of this heartbreak or humiliation.
