Iggy Azalea Hopes For Another Collaboration With Britney Spears

In 2015, Iggy Azalea linked up with Britney Spears for the release of “Pretty Girls.” Back then, the pop icon was still under conservatorship. On her appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the Aussie rapper openly revealed how she was down to work with Spears again. “My collaboration with her is always one of my favorite collaborations,” the 32-year-old explained, “I feel like… I’ve spoken about this before but I just feel like there was so much we wanted to do with it and we never got to do what we wanted to do.”

Azalea was vocal about her support for Spears prior to the termination of her 13-year conservatorship. Previously, the 41-year-old was forced to relinquish her personal and financial decision rights to her father. After fighting in court for her rights, and proving the terms of her situation as abusive, Spears gained independence in 2021. Leading up to her win, supporters flooded social media pages using the #FreeBritney movement, which Azalea contributed to on Twitter. In her post, she mentioned how she “personally witnessed” the torment that Spears was fighting against from her father, according to ET.

Iggy Azalea Reveals That Her And Britney Still Keep In Touch

Needless to say, the “Black Widow” rapper stood in support of Spears during her emotional support. Azalea reveals to Cohen that she and Spears keep in touch on Instagram, often exchanging messages. When asked to elaborate on her interest in collaborating again with the “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer, Azalea reflected on her colleague’s new circumstances. “She was so limited, obviously. Now she has the ability to do it her way 100 percent,” she tells Cohen. “I love Britney, and she’s so much more creative than what people give her credit for.”

Spears’s first release after regaining her creative freedom was “Hold Me Closer” with Elton John. She was appearing on Watch What Happens Live to promote her latest ventures, but Iggy Azalea found herself being questioned about her peers. Nicki Minaj and Cardi B‘s previous dust-up stormed pop culture years ago. The ladies were said to have been involved in a scuffle during New York Fashion Week in 2018, resulting in a divide that lasted for some time. Their friends also got involved, insults were thrown, and fanbases declared war—but these days, the two hitmakers are more invested in continuing their careers and raising their families.

However, the public won’t let it go. Minaj and Cardi remain hot topics, whether together or separately, and Andy Cohen rehashed the drama during Iggy’s visit to his popular talk show. The rapper was a guest alongside Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy. Additionally, the pair played a game, “Truth or Touch-up,” and if they didn’t want to answer the question, Iggy applied makeup to Kennedy.

Right off the bat, Cohen jumped in with a loaded question. “Iggy, who do you feel is the better rapper? Nicki Minaj or Cardi B?” asked Cohen. Immediately, Azalea looked uncomfortable. “Oh, god, why would you do this to me!” she screamed. “I just don’t want to start drama.” She chose to avoid the answer and apply makeup to the reality star. After keeping herself out of trouble, Iggy was also questioned about the oddest request she’s received from one of her OnlyFans subscribers.

“I actually love it,” she began. “Men pay me to tell them that they’re a piece of sh*t. I love that so much. They’ll send me $600 just to send a voicemail that’s like, ‘I’ll never suck your disgusting little d*ck. Is that even a d*ck? I wouldn’t even let my dog lick that d*ck.’ And they’re like, $200, $300. And I’m like, ‘I like this game!’” Cohen got a kick out of it, and Iggy further emphasized that she wasn’t exaggerating.

Slim Jxmmi’s ex Kee had some more words for him and his apparent new flame Sukihana after Kee accused the Rae Sremmurd member of abuse. Moreover, she brought up her history with Jxmmi after pictures of him and Sukihana together went viral. “Y’all keep sending me this,” Kee wrote on her IG Story. “They posted it for a reason. this is the most attention he’s gotten since SremmLife 2 and knocking my teeth back. He’s blocked for a reason. people do not change. had to learn to stop feeling bad and making excuses for how he treats me. I love myself, my son and my PH balance more.”

Furthermore, she clarified that she hopes things got better for the Mississippi MC. “I wish them the best though,” Kee expressed. this is the attention he needs for Sremm4 [red heart emoji] y’all go get that in April lol.” However, she made similar accusations last year where she was less conciliatory. “This is my truth,” she stated, along with mentioning Jxmmi’s drug abuse as well. “Aaquil Brown for years has been emotionally, physically, and mentally abusive to me.” While the “No Type” rapper hasn’t responded to Kee, authorities recently dropped a battery charge against him.

Meanwhile, Kee returned to Instagram with some comments about Slim’s “type” in relation to rapper Sukihana. “Girl you don’t know what his type is he said he ain’t got one,” she wrote on her IG Story. “Stop thinking these [ninja emoji] don’t love a lil chocolate they do!” she added later. In a lengthier message, she went at fake love and the true nature of the relationship. “Lmao, he was just on my story trying to play family three weeks ago. now why wouldn’t my friends, family and followers send me that [laughing emoji, in reference to the new couple’s picture together]. don’t be delusional. and I don’t follow you my love [addressing Sukihana]. he told me months ago y’all are friends and you’re not his type. and it’s all fun. so I don’t know why I’m even taking this serious lord.”

However, her comments apparently caught some flack, and she clarified things with another IG Story post. “Lord y’all are so offended in my DMs mad about what I said about Aaquil [Jxmmi] telling me that girl is not his type. I was not coming at her IN NO WAY and either was he. lmfao I’m relaying what he said to me and I was responding to her. Y’all have to relax and stop making everything about color. While applying makeup to Vanderpump Rules‘ James Kennedy, Azalea was asked, “What is the oddest ask one of your OnlyFans subscribers has requested? Back in 2015, Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea linked up on the collaborative single “Pretty Girls.” Now, Azalea has shared some thoughts on her former song partner, saying that there’s one thing about Spears that she doesn’t think gets enough attention.

On Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Azalea was asked if she’s kept in touch with Spears and if she’s like to work together again. She responded affirmatively, saying in part, “Now that she has the ability to do it her way, 100 percent… I love Britney and she’s so much more creative than what people give her credit for; What she did with Elton was amazing, and I would love to be part of more of anything that she had to do, especially when they’re 100-percent her own ideas.”

Andrew Watt backed up Azalea’s stance in a 2022 interview, when he said of working with Spears on her and Elton John’s “Hold Me Closer,” “She came up with her own ideas. She wanted to speed up the record a little bit, and we did that. She’s such a pro with dance music and understanding that kind of stuff and what works for her. […] She knew exactly what she wanted to do. She had spent tons of time with the record; she knew all the lyrics; it was, like, her thing. And it was really awesome to witness and see her be so powerful and crush it. She sounds incredible on the record, and she was involved all the way up until the final mix.”

Iggy Azalea recently appeared on model Emily Ratajkowski’s High Low With EmRata podcast, where she dished on just how her OnlyFans hustle was working out.

As she earns money from people paying subscriptions on the platform, Azalea says she’s made “so much” from it. She joined the site last month and launched a “Hotter Than Hell” project that includes “photographs, visual art collabs, videos, merch, and all kinds of aesthetically pleasing, hot as hell things,” as she previously noted on social media.

“I’m making so much money that I won’t even say how much it is,” Azalea said on the podcast.

Her profile currently charges $25 for a standard monthly subscription. She also offers bundles for 3 months at $71.25, 6 months at $135, and a full year for $225. However, the site doesn’t publicly indicate how many people are subscribed and for what amount.

During their conversation, Ratajkowski also asked Azalea about nudity on OnlyFans. “I don’t show vagina, but there is boobs and there is butt and I am naked,” the Australian musician added.

“It was scary when I sat on OnlyFans,” Azalea noted. “I’m someone who shows my breasts or my nudity, I don’t really have a problem with being overtly sexual when I’m in control of it and when I feel it has artistic merit.”

Iggy recently appeared on the EmRata podcast where she opened up about her relationship status, as well as her split with Playboi Carti. She said that she dated a little bit last year but she has been single since her and Carti’s split in 2020. “Like, right after I had my son, I left his father,” she said. “Something happened one day with my son’s father and me and it was just one of those moments where you’re just like, ‘I didn’t wake up thinking this is what my day would be.’ But by the end of the day, I was on a plane to Los Angeles and I never went back.”

She added that she and Carti had a “volatile relationship” that she knew “wasn’t working” for them. “I didn’t think I was going to be leaving when I left,” she said before admitting that she felt some sort of responsibility to keep their family together. “My father and my mother had such a volatile relationship that I wish I had seen less of it. Iggy Azalea’s 2014 chart-topping single isn’t the only thing fancy about her. Apparently, the “Dance Like Nobody’s Watching” rapper has a few impressive articles of clothing that she wants others to get a good look at. As the musician continues to receive criticism after she decided to join the subscription-based platform, OnlyFans, which has allegedly been quite lucrative, the Australian recording artist is sharing a message to both her haters and any potential love interests.

While teasing an unreleased track, Iggy uploaded a few risque thirst trap photos that could certainly go against Instagram’s community guidelines. In one image, Iggy is seen boarding a private plane wearing a white long-sleeve crop top shirt, a red thong panty, and the inescapable red AstroBoy-inspired MSCHF boots. Due to the distance between Iggy and the photograph, the lettering on the panty isn’t legible.

To ensure her following receives the message, the rapper uploaded a few close-up images. Iggy’s two-toned drawers reads, “I will not accept a life I do not deserve.” The image is uploaded along with the caption, “only accepting the best for myself .”

Although Iggy didn’t directly specify who the message was directed at, some of the platform’s users have begun to speculate that it could be a sublime message toward her ex-boyfriend, Playboi Carti, who made the news just days earlier after he’d been arrested for allegedly assaulting his pregnant girlfriend.
