Drake Admits PARTYNEXTDOOR Collab Album Was Supposed To Come Out Weeks Ago

Drake spread some Christmas cheer during his giveaway livestream with Adin Ross, which was wholesome and great to see as fans got huge prizes and were able to share in a two-way street of gratitude. But it was also an opportunity for the 6ix God to provide some updates for fans on his next music plans. As you probably know very well by now, the next item on the horizon is the collab album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, which most fans thought would come out before the end of the year. After all, they did tease a fall or winter release date, although that will most likely manifest into a January or February drop now.

Moreover, Drake spoke highly of the collab album during Adin Ross’ stream, calling it some of the work he’s most proud of and celebrating how he always wanted to make an album of that R&B Toronto sound with PARTYNEXTDOOR. However, right before his comments on whether or not rap is dead these days (which he disagrees with), Ross joked that Drizzy lied to him about the collab album coming out three weeks ago on December 6.

Drake Reveals That PARTYNEXTDOOR Collab Album Was Supposed To Come Out On December 26

As such, according to Adin Ross and the OVO mogul’s confirmation, it seems like Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR had plans to drop this album on or around December 6. They didn’t pull through for whatever reason, which The Boy did not specify while remarking that it’s coming very soon. Still, some fans have a lot of different theories about this delay that might be reaching. Even though the legal dispute with Universal Music Group and Spotify raised questions around whether or not this hinders his ability to drop music, it’s also entirely possible that this is just a normal delay that applies to a lot of albums these days.

Furthermore, perhaps there’s not a deep reason behind the wait for the Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR collab album, so we’ll see if we get any more details about it. Elsewhere during Adin Ross’ stream, Aubrey Graham also proclaimed his support for Tory Lanez, Lil Durk, and Young Thug and, overall, just seemed to have a lot of fun.

Playboi Carti Fans Are Calling It Quits After Being Conned Into Thinking He Would Drop “I AM MUSIC”

Who’s really surprised here? 2024 seemingly came and went with no fulfilled promises of the full-length “2024 music” that Playboi Carti teased on the track “2024.” Did we mention the year enough? Sure, we still have a few days left before we enter 2025, but people really thought that he would do a traditional album release on the last Friday of the year (December 27). Of course, this wasn’t the case, and fans reacted accordingly on social media with their best jokes, most heartfelt frustrations, and a lot of disdain for the Atlanta rapper despite their love for his music. In fact, some die-hards even spread the word on social media of a mass unfollowing spree so that they can “leave Carti in 2024.”

But again, at the end of the day, fans partially have themselves to blame for this disappointment, as they know exactly how Playboi Carti operates… Or rather, they’re all equally as confused or in the dark about it. Still, precedent doesn’t always establish tradition, and a lot of them hoped that this time around would be different. We remember when that gas-station-set, Kanye West-featuring music video came out a year ago and how excited we felt, so we understand folks who had more optimistic perspectives.

Playboi Carti Fans React To No New 2024 Music… Yet?

However, as we hinted at before, there are still a few days left of 2024, and Playboi Carti fans have a couple of delusional reasons to think that the new album could still drop. Maybe he decides to do a New Year’s rollout for I AM MUSIC rather than the Christmas gift that was Whole Lotta Red, or perhaps he will drop the project later today and we’re all just quick to react in the morning.

More Reactions

Sadly, the likelihood of these two options is next to zero, although we would be very happy to be wrong about this. Playboi Carti might never explain why I AM MUSIC – or whatever this new album is – faced all these problems, which might be what frustrates fans the most. But maybe we should just appreciate the singles that we got and leave the idea of a new album in the past.

Deion Sanders Addresses Travis Hunter Drama In Front Of The Entire Colorado Buffaloes Roster

Travis Hunter and his fiancée, Leanna Lenee, have been put through ringer over the last week and a half. As many of you are well aware by now, it all began when contentious video footage surfaced from the Heisman Trophy ceremony. After being announced the winner, a few of the folks there to support the Colorado Buffalo cornerback/wide receiver stood up to congratulate him. However, Leanna didn’t until his coach, Deion Sanders, gave her a little nudge. She did her best to try and explain why she didn’t get out of her seat right away.

But given how the internet generally feels about her, folks weren’t buying it. Then, at a fan event, Leanna appeared to be frustrated with Travis Hunter since she was just sitting there watching. That set her up for even more scrutiny and had many questioning how much she actually cared about him. From the weekend of December 15 on, multiple old videos have resurfaced of Leanna sharing how Travis used to take her to parties, wait in the car “for hours,” and then drive her home afterwards.

Additionally, there’s been a handful of videos showing Leanna with other guys. There’s one where she’s dancing/twerking on another man at a party. Moreover, another shows her at a man’s house lying in bed with him and tidying up his space. She tries to cover her face at times during it, leading some to speculate whether or not this was going on during her relationship with the future first round draft pick. Overall, this entire thing has gone way too far. It’s led Travis to deactivate his social media after fruitlessly attempting to tell people off. Even though people have tried to come to Travis’ aid, they’ve done more harm than good by digging up evidence. Believe what you want to believe, but you can’t help but feel bad for Leanna as well. Their private lives together are on public display for all to joke about and intensely criticize.

Some of his teammates have tried to come to Travis’ defense, including his quarterback, Shedeur Sanders. Now, his dad and coach, Deion Sanders, has recently stepped up. With their last game of the season coming up tomorrow (Alamo Bowl against BYU), Coach Prime took the time during practice to address the elephant in the room. He made sure to let Hunter know that him and his teammates love him and that they have his back. The entire team chants “bless him” three times before the Heisman winner ends off practice with a short speech. Prime did a great thing here, but it’s going to take some time for Travis to fully recover from everything.

DDG Gifts His Mom The L.A. Mansion After Buying A New One

After gifting his son a Ferrari for his first birthday, DDG gifts his mother his L.A. mansion for Christmas after purchasing another property. The entertainer recorded the unveiling, explaining to his mother plans to move out and gifting her the new home for Christmas. “I don’t know if y’all know, but I bought a new place,” said DDG, “I’m finna move… You [Mom] can have it. Well, you gotta wait til I leave.” His mother was confused at first but extremely appreciative in the end. The mother and son embrace in a hug after the reveal, and the rest of the family are ecstatic. DDG’s mother will own the property after the entertainer relocates to his new mansion.

The old mansion is reportedly valued at $3 million. Social media would flood the entertainer’s comments with applause. “The ultimate goal of every man is to put his mother in a big and safe house,” one user commented. DDG Gives His Mom The Old Mansion After Buying Another

Halo, the one-year-old son of DDG and actress Halle Bailey, recently received a Ferrari for his birthday. Since he can’t drive yet, the car is more symbolic than practical. Soulja Boy suggested that a toy version of the luxury car would have been a more appropriate gift. While he understands the couple’s excitement as first-time parents, he emphasized the importance of prioritizing long-term investments over flashy displays of wealth. His perspective highlights the need to balance celebrating milestones with planning for a child’s future.

DDG clapped back at the criticism over his son’s gift on Christmas Eve.  “N****s mad cuz they son playin hot wheels and mines playin wit Ferrari’s & M’s. Just work harder, gang,” he wrote. Halle Bailey has not commented on the gift or the backlash yet. Halo’s parents released new music in 2024, with plans for new albums coming soon.

Drake Says “Free Tory Lanez” &”Free Lil Durk” During DRIZZMAS Livestream With Adin Ross

Drake takes a moment to say, “Free Tory Lanez” and “Free Lil Durk” at the beginning of his DRIZZMAS livestream. Tory Lanez and Lil Durk face serious legal situations, with Lanez battling a shooting case and Durk battling two murder-for-hire cases. Drizzy acknowledged his collaborators with Adin Ross as they toast to the incarcerated with shots of tequila. Drake and Lil Durk collaborated on the 2020 hit “Laugh Now Cry Later.” Drake and Lanez were former rivals before squashing the beef in 2017.

Drake’s shout-out follows Tory Lanez’s releasing a track, “Handling Business,” earlier this month that goes at Kendrick Lamar. On the track, Lanez raps, “I have been praying and waiting for the day that people confront me the way he did, Drizzy.” Drizzy’s support for Lanez caused a beef with Megan Thee Stallion that she addressed on “HISS.”

Drake Says His PartyNextDoor Joint Album Is ‘One Of The Projects I’m Most Proud Of’

Drake has had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year, but he’s looking forward to righting the ship in 2025. He’s promised a joint album with PartyNextDoor, which could help him return to form after his late-2024 output failed to connect with audiences. Although they’ve missed their projected autumn release date, they’ve apparently been taking the slow-cooked approach to ensure that it lives up to Party’s promise that it’ll be a “classic.” We haven’t heard many updates, but during his livestream with Adin Ross, Drake shared some details of the album.

“Me and Party is, honestly, one of the projects I’m most proud of in my life,” he said. “I’ve always to wanted make a full album of our sound, Toronto sound, R&B. The best that both of us have to offer… The listening party has to be in the city.”

Drake could certainly use the goodwill. When even sports analysts like Stephen A. Smith and the Inside The NBA crew are criticizing his decision to get the courts involved in his feuds, it looks like his reputation needs a hard reset. You can argue about how effective doing a livestream with fellow Torontonian Adin Ross will be toward that end — it’s a friendly outlet, to be sure, but does little to address the “culture vulture” accusations leveled against him latelly — but at least he knows what his fans want. The real trick will be splitting the difference between them and the wider hip-hop audience.

Drake Says Him & PartyNextDoor’s Upcoming Album Is The Best Work They’ve Ever Done

Drake and PartyNextDoor‘s upcoming joint album is one of music’s most anticipated. The 6 God spoke on it during his DRIZZMAS live stream with Adin Ross. Asked by the popular stream, Champagne Papi revealed the upcoming album will be the OVO labelmate’s best work yet. Drizzy claimed that the album would bring back the Toronto R&B sound. The album was originally set for December 6. On its release date, Drake shared the album was coming soon.

Drizzy and PND announced the joint album in the fall. The 6 God acknowledged the R&B singer as his biggest inspiration in music. PartyNextDoor released his fourth album this summer, supported by a nationwide tour. The 6 God released 100GB collection around the announcement of the joint album. Along with announcing the joint album, Drizzy shared that other artists are releasing music soon, including Smiley.

Drake Says Joint Album With PartyNextDoor Is Best Work Yet

In the live stream, gifts contest winners with tons of prizes, including trips to see Drake perform in Australia, cash prizes, cars, dream vacations, and a signed photo. Drizzy would read the winner’s personal stories before the giveaway. After reading, the 6 God would contact the winners and award them their selected prize. Along with the giveaways, Drake unveils his new cologne coming soon. For Toronto, Drizzy and Adin Ross performed the national anthem before giving away prizes. The stream delivered positive vibes and more. The superstar heavily promoted posting “W” in the chat. Adin Ross revealed he will be accompanying Drizzy on the upcoming tour.

Presented by Stake, the live stream fuels Drake’s upcoming Australian tour. The Anita Win Max Tour begins in February with tickets available now. Drizzy acknowledged that Australia showed him how big the world is on his first visit years ago. Drizzy previously announced the tour as a guest on xQc’s livestream in November. Adin Ross announced plans to return to streaming next week after leaving Kick indefinitely over the summer.
