Young Thug Associates Offered Deals To Boost D.A.’s Case: Report

As fans celebrate Gunna’s release from jail, Young Thug remains incarcerated. The rappers were arrested at the top of the year along with two dozen others alleged to be their associates. Authorities claimed that Thugger, Gunna, and their alleged crew were a part of the YSL street gang. Yet, attorneys for both rappers contested YSL is no more than a record label.

Reporter George Chidi has been regularly keeping the world updated on this RICO case. On Twitter, Chidi shares why D.A. Fani Willis is more concerned with figures who allegedly were ringleaders of the criminal street gang. This may be why we’re seeing several people released as Thugger continues to fight for his freedom.

“My read here is that the DA will deal out (almost) everyone else if it means improving their chances of convicting Young Thug,” Chidi reported.

“The operating philosophy as described to me by a ADA is to ask ‘absent this person, would this crime still happen?’ If the answer is yes, cut a deal.” He added, “If the gang targeted someone for shooting, who pulled the trigger is less important to Willis’ office than who turned on the green light.”

Chidi said that he’s “surprised at the deals” being made, stating that the D.A.’s office sees Thugger as “the shot caller.” There has been speculation that Young Thug is behind bars telling his associates to agree to plea deals so he can take the charges.

“Thug doesn’t have leverage,” said Chidi. “Also, if Thug and Brian Steel go down, they will go down fighting.”

Additionally, Lil Duke and Slimelife Shawty have also pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges. They were both released from custody.

Lil Wayne Reviews Eli Manning’s Rap: “You Killed It”

Lil Wayne reviewed a rap song from Eli Manning during ESPN’s Manningcast broadcast for Monday Night Football. Eli rhymed over a New York Giants remix of Fivio Foreign’s “1 On 3.”

“First of all, Eli, when I saw that, I just saw a picture of that first,” Wayne explained through laughter. “When I saw the picture, I was like, ‘Wait, is this how Eli really dress in his off time for real?’

He continued: “I didn’t know what was going on. I saw the Cuban around your neck. I’m glad I actually saw a video of what that was all about. But you killed it. You killed it. Yeah, you killed that.”

From there, they continued discussing Eli’s outfit for the video: “Somebody ended up sending me a full-body picture of it and then I saw that you had on some khakis or something. That’s when I knew this must be a spoof or something.”

Eli remarked that Wayne’s classic hits “A Milli” and “Fireman” inspired his performance.

“I wasn’t watching a lot of Lil Wayne, but I was listening to him,” he said. “I was listening to ‘A Milli,’ I was listening to ‘Fireman,’ I was listening to ‘Stuntin’ Like My Daddy’ — that’s my personal favorite.”

As for the actual football, the game featured the Green Bay Packers taking on the Los Angeles Rams. Wayne’s Packers ended the night victorious, walking away with a 24-12 win over the former Super Bowl champions.

Later in the broadcast, Wayne reflected on his team’s Super Bowl XLV win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2011.

Over the years, Jumpman has delivered some unique shoes, such as the Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low. These silhouettes came out during a time when Jumpman was leaving its iconic models behind. Instead, they wanted to focus on moving the brand forward.

However, fans quickly decided that they would much rather get vintage Air Jordan retros. As a result, shoes like the Nu Retro 1 were scrapped and put on the backburner. While this may be the case, there is no doubt that nostalgia has created an appetite for these sneakers again.

For instance, the Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low is back. In the images below, you can see how there is a lot going on here. There are elements of the Air Jordan 1 Low, while a huge Wings logo is placed on the sides. Overall, it is a unique look that is bolstered by a colorway that is a safe bet for the shoe’s triumphant return.

Firstly, this shoe immediately pops out with the “Royal Blue” aesthetics. This blue is placed on the toe box, back heel, outsole, and even the back heel. Moreover, the shoe has black overlays that extend throughout the silhouette and the tongue. Lastly, white is placed on the Wings overlay that adorns the side. This white is also found on the front portion of the midsole.

Of course, these are not for everyone and they never will be. There is a specific type of sneakerhead that these will appeal to, and that’s okay. With certain styles coming back into the forefront, perhaps these will get the shine they never received.

Sonya Eddy, General Hospital Star, Dead At 55

Sonya Eddy, who starred in the ABC soap opera, General Hospital, has passed away at the age of 55. The show’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, confirmed her passing in a statement on Tuesday.

“I am heartbroken about the loss of the incredible Sonya Eddy,” Valentini wrote. “I truly loved her not only as an actress but as a friend. The lights in the hub of the nurses’ station will now be a bit dimmer, but her spirit and light will live on in both the show and our set. On behalf of the entire GH cast and crew, we send our deepest sympathy to her family, friends, and fans. She will be very missed.”

ABC also confirmed Eddy’s passing in an email to Page Six: “‘General Hospital’ is sad to confirm the passing of actress Sonya Eddy, who embodied her character … the tough but compassionate, head nurse, Epiphany Johnson … and immediately became a fan favorite and beloved member of our ‘GH’ family when she joined the show in 2006.”

No details regarding her death were provided as of Tuesday afternoon. Octavia Spencer reflected on her passing in a statement on Instagram.

“My friend @sonyaeddy passed away last night. The world lost another creative angel. Her legions of @generalhospitalabc fans will miss her,” Spencer wrote. “My thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones, friends, and fans!”

In addition to her work on General Hospital, Eddy also appeared in episodes of Seinfeld, Fresh Off the Boat, Glee, and more. She also was included as a regular cast member in the spin-off, General Hospital: Night Shift.

Just a few weeks back, we reported on the upcoming Undefeated x Air Jordan 37 collaboration. If you are familiar with Undefeated, you know that they have collaborated with Nike, Jumpman, and Adidas quite a bit. The Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 is an icon, and subsequently, Undefeated is looking to keep the partnership alive.

Overall, Undefeated is one of the most respected and well-known boutiques on the West Coast. That said, it should come as no surprise that Jordan Brand would continue this working relationship. Both of them know that fans love their collaborations, so consequently, more offerings just makes sense.

Upon looking at the official images for this collaboration, it is pretty obvious that both sides are looking to replicate their Air Jordan 4. This is one of the rarest Jordans ever as it sells for over $30,000. However, you won’t expect the same rarity with this model.

Firstly, you can see how this shoe contains a white mesh upper with some khaki green poking out beneath. This green shade is then transplanted onto the various overlays. However, it is important to note that these tones have varying shades of darkness. From there, we have some white on the back heel midsole plate, and orange that goes onto the tongue and even the outsole.

Vivica Fox Goes Off On Joe Budden After He Disses Megan Thee Stallion

Ever since she was catapulted into stardom, Megan Thee Stallion has been a polarizing figure, and Joe Budden apparently isn’t a fan. Megan is currently in the throws of a court case involving Tory Lanez and the infamous shooting in July 2020. Megan contests Lanez shot her in her feet, but he says it was Megan’s former best friend, Kelsey Harris.

As the trial drags on, the court of public opinion also hasn’t minced words. Further, a clip from The Joe Budden Podcast recently circulated, and in it, Budden makes it clear that he isn’t Megan’s biggest fan.

“Personally, I’ve seen this woman do horrible things to some really great people that I have longstanding relationships with here in this industry,” said Budden. “So, I’m biased. You can’t just treat my friends and people I f*ck with, and people I’ve seen in this game for 15 years, a certain way.”

The remarks also caused a firestorm of backlash from people who put Budden in the hot seat. Critics revisited the allegations against him involving domestic abuse and chastised the former rapper for attacking a victim.

Meanwhile, over on FOX Soul’s Cocktails with Queens, Vivica Fox and her co-hosts tackled the controversy. The Set It Off icon let her voice be heard.

“It’s a new day! But if you wanted some attention, to be honest with you, I think that’s the wrong one to try and get it from because it’s really coming out. Facts are finally coming out after so many years of this trial being long-awaited that she was shot. Get used to it, brother. It’s a new day.”

Alicia Silverstone Poses Nude For PETA, “Clueless” Star Says She “Never” Gets Naked

It’s no secret that sex sells – PETA has known this for years, which is precisely why they recruit stunning celebrities to star in their informative campaigns. The shock appeal of seeing a famous face (and body) nude while reminding you about the wrongs of animal cruelty truly never gets old for the organization.

In the past, stars like Pamela Anderson, Karina Smirnoff, and Bethenny Frankel all bared their physiques for the camera in favour of saving their furry friends. Now, it’s Clueless actress Alicia Silverstone’s turn to break the internet.

The new campaign made its debut on Tuesday (December 20). Ahead of the release, PEOPLE shared a first look at the accompanying video. “I never, ever, get naked in TV, in film, nothin’, never, nope,” the blonde beauty tells the camera.

“But I’ve done it for PETA because that’s how much it matters to me,” she added. “The amount of resources, water, food, oil for transport, the amount of energy that goes into making leather is extraordinary. It’s just not sustainable. The Earth can’t handle it.”

In the new photos, Silverstone wears nothing but cowboy boots while posing in a cactus field. “DON’T BE A PRICK,” the clever slogan reads. “Wear Vegan. Buy cactus, mushroom, or apple leather instead!”

The mother of three herself is a long-time vegan, making the personal decision to change her diet back in 1999. Since then, she’s often used her platform as a place to speak on animal rights and other issues.

In the new campaign video, Silverstone says that her dream is to get “earth-friendly materials into the hands of famous designers” so the industry as a whole can gravitate closer toward sustainability.

“I’d rather go naked than wear animals,” she additionally notes in the clip.

Though it’s already making rounds on social media, PETA has plans to launch the new ad on a billboard in Times Square before the ball drops on New Year’s Eve.
