Ja Morant Calls Out Jordan Poole After Injury: “Broke The Code”

Ja Morant came at Jordan Poole on Twitter after being injured during the Golden State Warriors’ 142-112 win over the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semi-finals on Saturday night. In a since-deleted tweet, Morant shared a video of Poole pulling on his knee as he was injured.

“Broke the code,” Morant captioned the video, quoting Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who claimed that Grizzlies guard Dillon Brooks “broke the code” during a play that led to Gary Payton II suffering an elbow injury.

The head coach of the Grizzlies, Taylor Jenkins, seemed to be in agreement with Morant after the game.

“He was going after a dribble and Jordan Poole grabbed his knee and yanked it,” Jenkins told reporters when asked about the play. “I’m going to be very curious to see what happens after that.”

Poole, on the other hand, claimed his move to be a basketball play and says he hopes for the best for Morant.

“We doubled him, I hit the ball and I was going for the ball and obviously you don’t want to see anybody get hurt,” Poole said. “I’m not even that type of player. I respect everybody. So obviously, hopefully, he gets better. … I don’t even play like that, that’s not my type of game.”

The injury occurred late in the fourth quarter. Morant finished with 34 points, three rebounds, and seven assists.

The Warriors now hold a 2-1 series lead over the Grizzlies. Game 4 is scheduled for Sunday night.

“For a lot of years people asked about hip hop. He’s the 10th artist to be sort of categorized that way. But you listen to his music, it is as hard-hitting and straight ahead as any metal song,” Harris declared during an interview with Audacy. “It’s right there. It’s a chest punch with a message and with a power and with a rhythm and with a band. We’re thrilled he’s going in [his] first year of eligibility, it’s a big statement.”

Drake also spoke about Harlow’s impact on his hometown of Louisville and compared it to his own relationship with Toronto.

When asked if they have a horse in the race, Drake remarked, “We got a lot going on.”

Harlow revealed they were “forced to make a move, on the one and only Happy Jack,” adding, “He’s really giving a good description of how I feel right now. [If there] was a Happy Aubrey, we’d run that too.”

From there, Drake noticed the production crew signaling to wrap things up.

“You can’t give it the wrap it up signal,” he said. “What are you gonna cut to? What are you gonna cut to? A shot of, like, poorly manicured grass, or something?

“You know what I’m gonna tell ’em?” the reporter said. “I’ma tell ’em, ‘Just hold on, we’re going home.”

In addition to hanging with Harlow at the Derby, Drake was featured on his new album for the song, “Churchill Downs.”

I’ve always considered myself a visitor in hip hop. When I was 21, I got diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I learned a lesson in the hospital, which was that as long as I had like one finger that still worked, no matter what the world took from me, I could play the keyboard and I could make music. All the things in my life just kind of pointed me in one direction. I’m here to play my part and to leave my impact.

Noah “40” Shebib

According to the press release, Toronto Rising – 40’s Very Own is meant to serve as a backstory to the legacy 40 has built for himself as well as an inspiration to the next generation of producers who may be struggling to find their footing amid adversity. It’s also a love letter to Hip-Hop and the city which he and Drake played an integral role in putting on the map.

Celtics Coach Ime Udoka On Playoffs Officiating: ‘I’ll Teach My Guys To Flop A Little More”

Players on both sides of the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics’ Game 3 matchup for the Eastern Conference Semifinal took issue with the performance of the referees after the game. The Bucks were able to hold off a 14-point comeback from the Celtics in the fourth quarter to win 103-101.

Celtics head coach Ime Udoka called attention to the late-game foul on Celtics guard Marcus Smart which he labeled a “poor call.” Smart was fouled while attempting a 3-pointer but officials decided the foul was on the floor before the attempt was made.

When Udoka complained, he says refs told him Smart was making a sweeping motion rather than a shooting motion.

“Both feet set. You can’t say that’s a sweep. You’re going into a shot. That’s a poor call. Poor no-call,” Udoka said.

He added: I’ll teach my guys to flop a little more.”

On the other side, Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo hinted at being upset with the refs but admitted he didn’t want to get fined.

“How much does it cost if I say something, a comment about the refs? Is it $20,000? It’s a lot of money. So, I should not do it. I’ll save my money. I’ve got to pay for diapers.”

The Bucks now hold a 2-1 series lead over the Celtics. Game 4 is scheduled for Monday at 7:30 PM, ET.
