“Getting back to directing and shaping the cinematography for the ‘Buried Alive’ music video was really a rewarding return for me,” says Chance the Rapper. “Film provides me a platform to translate my creative vision into a tangible, immersive experience, while also capturing the grandeur of the cosmos.” He continues, “Throughout this project, I’ve been using film as a translator for some of the heavier or more fantastical themes in my lyrics. Auteurs like Wes Anderson, Spike Lee, and now Quentin Tarantino have greatly influenced my eye as a director and DP, while providing me a medium that allows these conversations of liberation and catharsis to speak loudly.”

Conway the Machine is reloaded. Hitting Instagram, Conway has announced his new album, SFK. The album is due out on May 10.

In February, following the success of “Give & Give,” produced by Cool & Dre, Conway officially announced the arrival of Won’t He Do It: Side B with his latest single, “Vertino,” featuring Joey Bada$$. Today marks the release of the highly anticipated sophomore artist-producer album DON’T GROW UP TOO SOON by GRAMMY Award-winning producer Nascent. This deeply introspective project delves into the journey of a grown man as he navigates and heals from childhood traumas.

Through a collection of vulnerable tracks, Nascent shares his personal experiences, offering listeners a poignant journey through his past. M.O.P. & Ruste Juxx Join Rhyme Assassin On “Run Em Up (Told Ya)”

Zimbabwe-born, London-based emcee Rhyme Assassin delivers a straight-up banger and connects with bully-rap royalty on his new single, “Run Em Up (Told Ya),” featuring none other than M.O.P. and Ruste Juxx.

The track also boasts production from underground rap luminary The Arcitype, whose menacing beat inspired Rhyme Assassin to reach out to his collaborators on here. “I could only hear M.O.P. on the instrumental,” he says, adding that it didn’t matter how many times he listened to it, because he could only hear the Brownsville bullies on the beat. Then, when he needed a third verse to close it out, he linked with Ruste, who “complemented M.O.P.’s energy and vibes,” Rhyme Assassin says.

“Run Em Up” is an absolute bruiser of a track, with everyone involved nailing the concept of running up on competition. It’s also the second single from Rhyme Assassin’s upcoming debut album, Dedicated to Self, that also features the likes of Ras Kass, Masta Ace, Stic Man (dead prez), Saigon, and Keith Murray. On the boards, you’ll hear beats from Buckwild, Tru Master, and DJ King Flow, among others. Nas & DJ Premier Release New Single “Define My Name” As Intro To Collaboration LP

Grammy-award-winning icon Nas, celebrates the 30th Anniversary of his 1994 debut album, Illmatic, with the release of new single “Define My Name,” which is produced by DJ Premier; who also produced three tracks (“N.Y. State Of Mind,” “Represent,” and “Memory Lane” (sittin’ in da park) on the timeless classic.  “Define My Name” is now available!

“Define My Name” is not only a celebration of Illmatic’s born day, but also the announcement of a new beginning for the legendary artists, one that fans have dreamed about and anxiously anticipated for years; as Nas and DJ Premier have also revealed they will be releasing their landmark collaborative album later this year.
