Playboy Launches First Solo Denim Venture

Playboy has announced the official launch of their newest solo owned-and-operated denim endeavor. The line will feature 18 pieces in styles such as skinny, low-rise skater, high-rise, wide leg, flare jeans, straight jeans and others. Spanning both men’s and women’s wear, the styles come in washes including black waxed, camouflage print, pink stone wash and classic blue denim and are designed with Playboy’s well-known bunny logo. 

Though this is Playboy’s first solo denim launch, this collection follows the launch of their solo lingerie brand earlier this year. Previously, they have joined forces with retailers such as Amiri, Pleasures, Supreme, Pacsun and various others. The classic fabric staple known as a must-have in many closets coupled with the legacy of Playboy, presents a solid pairing. 

Ashley Kechter, group president of global consumer products at PLBY Group Inc., Playboy’s parent company said, “We’ve seen strong demand for Playboy-branded denim through our licensing collaborations and we’re excited to launch Playboy’s first owned-and-operated denim line in time for the holiday season. We look forward to continued expansion of our owned-and-operated business and will leverage these new product lines across the Playboy ecosystem, including through our robust creator network.”

Fashion’s evolution is all encompassing of the ecosystem that surrounds it. In order to stay suitable for new generations modern takes are necessary.  PLBY Group Inc. vice president of design Jason Mahler said, “We have utilized the recognizable brand codes of the Rabbit Head and Masthead logos — interpreting them, for a modern customer, through custom rivets and leather jacrons, embellished graphics, patches and prints.” 

As denim taps into the nostalgia of past style eras, it leaves room for innovation as the fashion gift that just keeps on giving. With an emphasis on adding value through quality and fit, the garment assortment is intended to merge heritage and coolness. 

Playboy’s denim offerings are available on the Playboy website and range in price from $80 to $110.

Azealia Banks Claims Nicki Minaj Is Jealous And Broke

Azealia Banks is back in the news making claims about Nicki Minaj’s finances. Banks says that Minaj is attempting to mess up one of her business deals, and that she is “broke” and allegedly pays blogs to make other rappers’ lives difficult.

On Friday, Azalea posted several Instagram Stories where she alleged that the 39-year-old rapper had paid the two bartenders that had sued Cardi B and she also accused her of paying Tasha K to go after Cardi while claiming that she was broke and owed many people.

“Imagine how pissed off @nickiminaj is to have paid 100k+ for them girls lawyers, put them in a video with weirdo tekashi for them to only get $5,000 a pop. Nicki wanted cardi to get hit with a felony and have her passport relinquished so she could no longer travel outside of the country. Imagine the salt on her rim when she pays Tasha k to lie and cardi wins a 4m reward in court. Imagine owing Rushka Bergman money for styling you. Imagine getting told no by @monotofficial then going out to purchase it,” Azalea said.

Azealia Banks also alleged that Nicki Minaj put her hairdresser, presumably Arrogant Tae, on retainer but then asked him to work for free.

“Imagine being so jealous that you put your hairdresser on retainer, telling him he can no longer work with longtime friends, only to turn around and ask him to work for free because ur money is f**ked up an all the barbs and blogs you pay to try and make female rappers lives difficult,” she said.

“Nicki Minaj is Broke like, Broke Broke. Scamming production companies for private jets and rented houses kind of broke,” Banks alleged.

Banks also claimed that Minaj was turned down for other business ventures which allegedly refused to work for her.

Stop yelling into your phone like you have no sense…Queen radio dropped from Apple, you got rejected by Netflix and HBO Max…then tried to give @bronstudios an ultimatum about working with me when chances are they’re probably not even going to release your documentary after how nasty you were to them and how disgusting they all think you are,” Banks wrote.

Azealia Banks also continued with her telling the rapper to go to rehab and claimed that she insinuated that the rapper was addicted to opioids. “you can’t travel to certain countries with those substances. And we don’t wanna see you have a seizure trying to quit opioids without medical assistance.”

In a recent performance Jennifer Lopez introduces her 14-year-old daughter Emme using the pronouns them/they.

On Thursday, Jennifer Lopez performed at Dodger Stadium for the sixth annual Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation’s Blue Diamond Gala. She was joined by her daughter, Emme, one of her twin children whom she’s performed with on stage before.

Before the performance began, she introduced Emme and used gender-neutral pronouns “they/them” multiple times.

“(The last time) we performed together was in big stadium like this, and I ask them to sing with me all the time but they won’t,” Jennifer Lopez said. “So this is a very special occasion, because they’re very, very busy and booked and pricey. They cost me when they come out, but they’re worth every single penny because they’re my favorite duet partner of all time. So if you would indulge me.”

They recapped their on-and-off 10 year relationship and to be honest the chemistry seems undeniable. They revealed they were engaged and inseparable but remained friends.

After two years on pause, the Time 100 Gala returns, continuing their annual celebration of 100 of the world’s most influential people.   Bringing together icons, leaders, change-makers, and celebrities from across industries and honoring icons like Questlove, Zendaya and Singer, songwriter and actress, Mary J. Blige.  Out of all the honorees it was the ‘Hello Gorgeous’ singer  who dropped jaws as she walked the red carpet.  Stunning in a beaded heart shaped bodice by Indian Designer Gaurav Gupta with side cut-outs that gave us a glimpse of Mary’s very toned abs.  Her signature bleach blond hair was styled in a sleek bun.

The real sparkler was the  250 carat heart shaped diamond chandelier necklace created by Pristine Jewelers that took our breath away. “Mary J Blige is a person that has given so much of her life and her time to the world and has struggled,” she said. “I just hope that my legacy is that I’ve given and that I’ve loved and that I’ve worked hard. All those things. And that I’ve inspired generation after generation.”

Mary, who recently went viral on Twitter performing a sensual dance at The Roots Picnic in Philadelphia (see below),

closed out the night in New York City by bringing her fellow honorees and gala guests to their feet with a classic Mary J. Blige performance.

Shaunie O’Neal Weds In Anguilla

Shaunie O’Neal, the ex-wife of Shaquille O’Neal married her fiancé Pastor Keion Henderson at a destination ceremony in Anguilla on Saturday.

The couple got engaged in November 2021 after dating for 2 years.

The wedding was attended by 200 guests, including Shaunie’s three sons, Myles, 25, Shareef, 22, and Shaqir, 19. The boys walked their mom down the aisle on a golf course at the Aurora resort. Shaunie’s two daughters, Amirah, 20, and Me’arah, 16, also attended.

Gospel singer Yolanda Adams performed during the reception.

Shaunie Henderson, 47, exclusively told PEOPLE she leaned heavily on her sons for emotional support.

“I just lost my dad in February. So, I really struggled with how I was going to get down the aisle. Losing my dad in the midst of planning this wedding was a lot, so my sons handed me off.”
