Madonna Out In Public Days After Hospital Health Scare

Only two weeks after being hospitalized, Madonna is back out on the streets of New York City. The pop legend was spotted with one of her friends on the Upper East Side, walking along East 80th Street and Lexington Avenue. According to the news outlet Page Six, she had on giant sunglasses, Nike shoes, and a wide-brimmed hat. She looked cheerful with her friend and seemed to be walking just fine (albeit taking her sweet time with it all).

This comes after Madonna’s June 24th hospitalization stemming from a bacterial infection. She was found unresponsive and rushed to the ICU for immediate treatment. After only a few days in the ICU, she was discharged and recovered at home, most likely with antibiotics and plenty of rest. Now, two weeks later, she’s back to enjoying life before she presumably goes off to do her twelfth solo tour. (Which might be on delay due to this abrupt health crisis.)

Above, podcaster Lauren Conlin snapped pictures of Madonna walking the NYC streets. “Guess who we just saw out and about today, looking great,” Conlin says to the camera. The video pans to two photos of Madonna leaning against a light pole, waiting to cross the street in the Big Apple. And while she’s out walking again, which is terrific news, she has yet to release a statement about the health scare or what this means for her upcoming tour.

Allegedly, Madonna had been feeling a low-grade fever for almost a month but did not alert medical professionals of this. She didn’t see a doctor because she didn’t want to have a reason to delay — or cancel — the Celebration tour. The pop star was going to kick things off on July 15th in Vancouver, BC. There are no updates from her or her manager, Guy Oseary. (Other than an expectation to return to full health via Oseary back in June.) It’s unclear whether she’ll be healthy enough to perform in five days’ time.

Jamie Foxx Reportedly In Stable Condition

It’s been a tough month for Jamie Foxx fans. The actor was suddenly hospitalized in April while on the set of his upcoming Netflix film, Back In Action. It was the latest delay for a production that had been plagued by fraud and bad weather. Despite assurances that Foxx was recovering, fans remained worried. Those concerns were exacerbated when individuals close to Foxx began asking fans to “pray for Jamie”.

However, the same day as the call for prayer went out, Foxx’s Instagram posted for the first time since his hospitalization. But the joy from that was short-lived as sources close to Foxx revealed that he was still in the same condition as he was before. Despite this, new information grants a clearer picture of where Foxx is at in his recovery.

Foxx In Stable Condition But Remains Hospitalized

According to sources who spoke with PEOPLE, Foxx is in stable condition but remains hospitalized for the time being. “Jamie is stable and not in a life-threatening situation now. “[Doctors] are doing more tests and want to be completely sure that he will be okay before allowing him to leave.” Furthermore, Foxx has been advised to “keep his stress levels down” once he is discharged. This suggests Foxx may need to spend additional time recovering at home once he leaves the hospital. However, as the nature of his medical emergency remains unclear, this is only speculation.

However, this may be difficult for Foxx, who apparently is not a fan of sitting back and relaxing. The hospital is “the last place Jamie wants to be” according to PEOPLE‘s source. “He has a lot of projects going on. He gets things done; he is focused and astute. What happened to him medically is serious enough to keep him in the hospital,” the source continued. Furthermore, there is currently no timetable for when Foxx will be discharged. “His family and friends are supporting him and are there for him. The singer shared her survivor story after recently going through life-threatening heart surgery to unclog a main heart artery. Moreover, Toni Braxton told the gossip blog that she learned important lessons about taking care of your body. The star has the most prevalent form of lupus, systemic lupus erythematosus. Not only that, in a previous interview the songstress revealed her artery was 80% blocked.

Imagine not knowing one of your main arteries is almost completely BLOCKED? Accordingly, Toni revealed that she has been hospitalized on more than one occasion. She also said she sees the importance of regular health check-ups. However, the R&B legend conceited that she never took it seriously enough. According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE, Jamie Foxx is “steadily improving” following his medical emergency and hospitalization. For those unaware, his daughter Corinne Foxx broke the news in an Instagram post. “We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” she wrote. “Luckily, due to quick action and great case, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.”

Not only that, but apparently the situation could’ve been tragic according to other reports from TMZ. “We’re told his condition was serious enough that Jamie’s family, some of whom were not in town, came to the hospital,” they claimed. “He’s communicating now, and that’s good news.” To elaborate, Foxx was in Georgia filing the Netflix comedy Back In Action, which now faces a slew of production issues given Foxx’s hospitalization. Interestingly enough, the film was already facing a lot of issues, such as the 55-year-old being subject to a $40,000 scam while on set.

Hailey Bieber reflected on suffering a “mini stroke” one year after the fact on her Instagram Story, Friday. In doing so, the 26-year-old model shared various information about Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO). With the condition, a hole exists between the left and right sides of her heart.

“Can’t believe it’s been one year since I suffered a mini stroke that led to my PFO diagnosis,” Hailey said. “Given that it’s the one-year mark from such a life-changing event, I wanted to share all the information I’ve learned about PFO and share resources to donate.”

Hailey noted that PFO is the most common type of congenital heart condition, and affects 20% of people “with 60% occurrence among 1st degree relatives.” She cited information from UCLA Health, where she went after her mini-stroke. “PFO is a passage way between the left and right atria of the heart. It exists in everyone before birth, but in most people closes after birth but doesn’t close for around one out of every four people,” she further added in another slide on her Instagram story.

Hailey first detailed suffering the mini-stroke during a YouTube video published in April 2022. She explained that she was having a typical morning and eating breakfast with her husband when “and all of a sudden I felt this really weird sensation that kind of like traveled down my arm from my shoulder all the way down to my fingertips and it made my fingertips feel really numb and weird.”

“The conclusion was that I had a blood clot that traveled into my heart. And instead of what typically happens if you have a small blood clot is the heart will filter the blood clot to your lungs. And your lungs will absorb the blood clot because the lungs are so big, and they can handle it,” she continued. “What happened with me is my blood clot actually escaped through the flap or the hole in my heart, and it traveled to my brain and that is why I suffered a TIA.”

Film Icon Richard Gere Recovering From Pneumonia

Following a recent health scare, Richard Gere’s wife is offering an update. The actor doesn’t make many headlines these days, but his fans swarmed the internet when it was learned he was recently hospitalized. According to TMZ, the entertainment icon was on vacation with his wife, Alejandra Silva, and their two small children when his bad cough worsened. Things became so bad Gere decided to check himself into a local hospital.

It was there that he was diagnosed with pneumonia. The outlet further stated that Gere stayed in a facility overnight as his illness was treated. The actor was reportedly released the following day but was prescribed antibiotics. His wife shared a new photo to Instagram with a caption suggesting Gere was in a better place than days ago.

In her photo, Silva only shows herself with her two small children as they walk across the shores of a beach The family was reportedly celebrating Silva’s 40th birthday, and it seemed everyone was ill at some point or another. “Thank you all for the birthday wishes,” she wrote in the caption. “After almost 3 weeks of everyone being sick in our family, today finally I feel much better! Gere and Silva privately married in early 2018. Their friends told news outlets that Gere was excited about “this half of his life” because “he is settled, confident, and doing what he likes.” The couple welcomed their first son together in 2019, and the second arrived in 2020. In the earlier days of his career, Gere was promoted to be a playboy of sorts; the actor was linked to several women in the industry. They include the likes of Priscilla Presley, Kim Basinger, Diane von Fürstenberg, and Barbara Streisand.

Although his wife has offered a positive update, Gere nor his reps have issued any formal statement. His diagnosis concerned fans because of the unpredictability that pneumonia brings; some recover quickly while others succumb to the illness. Hollywood has been engulfed in chatter about Elvis Presley these days, thanks to Austin Butler’s portrayal of the Rock ‘n’ Roll great. However, earlier today (January 12), it was shared that the music legend’s daughter, Lisa Marie, suffered a health scare.

According to reports, Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital after enduring a cardiac arrest. Los Angeles news station KTLA 5 reports “paramedics performed CPR” at her Calabasas home before transporting her to emergency care.

The outlet also stated paramedics helped Presley “regain a pulse.” She is reportedly on life support and in a coma.

After suffering a terrifying health scare, more information is being shared about Damar Hamlin. The sports world has its eyes keenly focused on the NFL after Hamlin collapsed on the field during a game earlier this week. The Buffalo Bills star took a hit, as many professional football players do, but this resulted in two cardiac arrests.

“Per the physicians caring for Damar Hamlin at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Damar has shown remarkable improvement over the past 24 hours,” the Buffalo Bills shared in a new statement.
