Rick Ross Dares To Clown Mike Tyson Over Old Picture

Rick Ross was among the most recent guests on the Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast, and he took a risk in trying to make a joke about the host’s past appearance. Moreover, when he saw a photo of a young 20-year-old Tyson, he couldn’t help but make a joke about his hairline. “It’s a beautiful picture…How old were you?” The Biggest Boss asked the boxing legend. “That n***a that cut your hair ain’t give you no blend.” This resulted in laughs from the people around them, and Mike cracked a smile and said, “I hear you.” However, Ross cleared the air and said that he loves it, so it’s either some backtracking or some tough love that acknowledges some missteps.

Furthermore, this was a particularly special episode of Hotboxin‘ because it was what many fans probably hoped it wouldn’t be: its last. Furthermore, it seems like Mike Tyson’s convo with Rick Ross puts things at least at a pause as he prepares for his upcoming fight with Jake Paul. A lot of folks are very excited to see how this match-up pans out, whether or not they think that Tyson will be able to beat the YouTube provocateur. We’ll all have to wait until July 20 to find out.

Elsewhere, Rick Ross is very much occupied with a showdown of his own, although this is more about trading bars than blows. While things probably won’t reemerge on wax for a while, they are two social media trolls who will likely continue to send potshots at each other. Things are a bit more quiet right now, but we’re sure that they won’t stay this way forever.

Meanwhile, Tyson is training hard for his Jake Paul fight, which will be a big moment for pop culture at large. Sexyy Red Shows Off Betty Boop Inspired Short Haircut

Since last year, Sexyy Red has been on a massive ascent to become one of the biggest and most talked about stars in all of hip-hop. Throughout her rise to success she’s done it with a pretty definitive look. Her long red hair has been a part of the bright red motif that’s come to define her entire image. But in a recent Instagram photo dump she showed off a new look that left fans both surprised and impressed.

“BETTY BOOP ” she captioned the new post. It’s accompanied by a series of mirror selfies where Red is sporting a white top, some red bottoms and a big chain. She’s also sporting a short, dark haircut that’s a far cry from the look she’s become known form. In the comments, fans show their love for the new look. “Short hair look to good on sexyy” one of the top comments reads. “Ain’t gonna lie u look good damn” another top comment reads. This week Sexyy Red has been involved in a bit of a public beef with Joe Budden. That began when the podcast host joked on his show about how Drake must be getting paid to hang out with Red. he implied that there’s no way they could actually be enjoying each other’s company. Red hit back repeatedly first calling Budden “dumb” before sharing an NSFW video attempting to show what Drake may like so much about her.

Last month Red dropped her new single “Get It Sexyy” and it’s off to a very strong start. The song debuted inside the top #25 of the hot 100 spending its first week at number 23. Despite the massive influx of songs from Future and Metro Boomin’s WE DON’T TRUST YOU this week, “Get It Sexyy” only slipped a few spots down to number 28. Travis Kelce Haircut Is A Viral Trend, But Black Creators Aren’t Happy About The Coverage

A New York Times report about Travis Kelce’s haircut becoming a viral trend has left several prominent Black media members unhappy with how Kelce is being portrayed.”The NYT thinks that Travis Kelce invented the fade When you have zero cultural competency on your staff, this is how you end up with stories like this, and explaining swag surfin,’ which is at least 15 or years old,” wrote journalist Jemele Hill on X.

As Hill noted, The Times referred to “The Fade”, a staple of Black fashion since it first grew to popularity in the militarized culture of the 1940s and 50s, as “The Travis Kelce”. And while cultural markers do grow and adopt and maybe it’s unreasonable for a 14-year-old Chiefs fan to know it’s a fade and not the Kelce, the 172-year-old New York Times should absolutely know better.

Taylor Swift Co-Opts Black Dance Moves…Again

However, as Hill mentioned, it’s not just Travis Kelce who is pushing this trend. Explainer articles about “Swag Surfin” have popped up after Swift was seen pulling the dance move at the AFC Championship Game. In this case, an article from The Sporting News called it “the Chiefs’ viral dance celebration”. Swag Surfin dates back to 2009 and the F.L.Y. song of the same name. But the co-opting of Black-created dance moves is not a new thing. The Wikipedia page for “The Griddy” features two images of white people doing the dance, despite the creator being Black and a Black NFL player have been the one to further popularize it.

Furthermore, it’s not the first time that Swift specifically has been involved in discussions of cultural appropriation. Swift received a great deal of backlash for the music video of her 2014 hit “Shake If Off”. The “joke” of the video is that Swift is trying and failing to replicate dance moves such as twerking. However, it’s much more again to lampshading – simply pointing out that the self-awareness of an action does not excuse the action itself.

It looks like YFN Lucci finally got that haircut that the court promised him before his trial a couple of weeks ago. Moreover, a new mugshot surfaced of him online on Sunday (January 28), and people were very quick to comment on his bald head after sporting a long and wild look while in the pen. “tf, ain’t this n***a have a full head of dreads like yesterday [crying emoji],” one fan wrote under DJ Akademiks’ Instagram coverage of the picture. “N***a went from Kodak to magic Johnson overnight,” another added, while others had some more pop culture references to give. “He Look like CJ from Grove St [crying laughing emoji],” a user joked.

Furthermore, this follows the news that YFN Lucci received a 20-year sentence in his RICO case. However, given that he will be eligible for parole in just a couple of months -– and the State’s letter to the pardon and parole board that reflects a lack of objection to an early release -– he could be out in three and a half months. Of course, this is all quite muddy thanks to our broken legal system, and many things could occur to slow this down. But the Atlanta native at least has some bright light at the end of the tunnel, and that’s more than most ever get in U.S. prisons.

Desiigner Looks Happier Than Ever While Showing Off His New Look

Things have been tough for Desiigner over the past few years. Overall, we came to know the artist thanks to his song “Panda.” Of course, this song was actually sampled by Kanye West, who signed him to GOOD Music. Unfortunately, that partnership wasn’t as fruitful as the artist probably hoped. Ye didn’t do much for his career, and only a couple of projects were released under the imprint. Since that time, the artist has tried to maintain his success, although it has not proven to be easy.

Earlier this year, things went horribly for Desiigner as he was caught pleasuring himself on a plane. It is clear that the artist had been going through a mental health episode. However, that would not absolve him from any sort of consequence. Just a few weeks ago, it was reported that he pleaded guilty to the charges against him. Luckily for the rapper, he will not have to register as a sex offender. While some may disagree with this ruling, others believe it’s fair considering the artist’s mental health problems.

Joe Burrow Debuts New Short Hairdo

The very ruffle-able hair of Joe Burrow is gone for the time being as the Bengals QB debuted a shorter version of his usual cut during media availability this week. “You’re looking at it, I don’t even know what to tell people,” Burrow said when asked what kids should ask for if they wanted to emulate the cut. “When you have a game like that on Sunday,” Burrow followed up when asked how he knows it’s time for a new cut.

The Bengals are widely expected to once again be AFC contenders this year. However, they fell face-first out of the gate as they got stomped 24-3 by the Browns. It came after Ja’Marr Chase had hilariously called the Browns a “bunch of elves”. However, it was a slap in the face for one of the hottest teams in football over the past two seasons. Obviously, for their quarterback, it signaled a need for a change. The Bengals will look to right the ship as they welcome the Ravens to Cincinnati on Sunday.

Burrow Signs Massive Extension

What made the result sting even more was that Burrow had signed his record-breaking extension a day before. His new deal is a five-year, $275 million extension with $219.01 million guaranteed. The deal surpasses those of Justin Herbert, Jalen Hurts, and Lamar Jackson, all signed this summer and all briefly the biggest in NFL history. “This is where I want to be. This is where I want to be my whole career. We’re working toward making that happen. You’ve seen what the front office has done and what Zac [Taylor] has done in their time here. I’m a small part of that [and] I’m excited to be a part of that. I’m going to keep playing well. I feel great about the organization and everybody in the locker room and in the coaching staff. [The contract] is the icing on the cake to me. I’m just excited to be out here,” Burrow told reporters.

“He’s a motivated player, he’s a motivated teammate, he’s a motivated leader,” Bengals director of player personnel Duke Tobin. “He puts the time in to make sure that he is ready to go and then he drives others to be ready to go. So all the things we liked about him from the very start have been true and he’s kept that up.” Burrow also entered the season with the second-best odds to win MVP. He threw for just 82 yards in the season opener.

Moreover, it is a project that gets better with each subsequent listen. Now, however, Yachty is gearing up for Drake’s project For All The Dogs. He is likely featured on it, and he knows a lot about the album.

For All The Dogs will be coming out on September 22nd, and fans are very excited about it. There is a new single dropping this week which is going to act as a teaser of sorts. With all of that in mind, it seems as though Yachty is enacting some lifestyle changes right now. Firstly, he took to Instagram with a few snaps of him sporting a new haircut. In fact, it appears as though he is embracing the bald life. Furthermore, he has revealed that he quit Lean, which is a huge accomplishment.

For those who may not know, Lean is one of those drugs that can make you gain a lot of weight, especially in your gut area. However, once you kick the stuff, you are able to lose weight rapidly. Sometimes, this leads to people thinking you are sick, then it is, in fact, the opposite. These comments are most certainly annoying for Yachty, however, he seems content with his life choices.
