Lil Baby’s New Single, “Go Hard,” Sets The Tone For Our Latest “Fire Emoji” Playlist

The first New Music Friday of May has certainly brought with it plenty of evidence that our favourite lyricists aren’t coming to play this month. From must-hear new projects landing by DaBaby, Destroy Lonely, and Conway the Machine to singles arriving via Belly, IDK, and Lil Baby, we’ve got plenty to get into on this weekend’s Fire Emoji playlist update. Leading the way is the latter, Atlanta-based artist, who dropped off “Go Hard” this past Wednesday.

Besides new music from the My Turn hitmaker, we also selected a must-listen joint from Conway’s WON’T HE DO IT project. Our personal favourite is “Brooklyn Chop House” featuring Fabolous and Benny The Butcher, though we also spotlighted “Brucifix” on our new releases panel. Following that comes a collaborative effort from JELEEL! and Chow Lee, called “CONFETTI!,” as well as a solo effort from Belly, “Ambiance.”

As for other noteworthy joint titles, “Pissy” from Gucci Mane, Nardo Wick, and Roddy Ricch comes to mind, along with “Pinot Noir” from IDK, Jucee Froot, and Saucy Santana. We also heard SleazyWorld Go tap Polo G for “Off The Court,” and Lil Uzi Vert makes serious waves with their work on Snow Strippers’ “It’s A Dream.” From DaBaby’s CALL DA FIREMAN EP, we’ve been loving his “SELLIN CRACK” collaboration with Offset. Finally, from Destroy Lonely’s highly anticipated If Looks Could Kill album, we’ve picked two songs for your streaming consideration.

The first, “superstar,” appears midway through our list. At the very end, you’ll find our other choice – “money & sex – bonus” with Ken Carson. Of the 26 titles on the 21-year-old’s project, it’s the only one he included a feature on, letting his captivating presence, lyrical abilities and confidence carry him through the rest on his own. Tap into our weekly Fire Emoji playlist update on Spotify, and let us know if there are any other titles you would’ve added in the comments. Lil Baby Drops “Go Hard” Visual Feat. Jayda Cheaves

Anytime Lil Baby drops, the world is tuning in. Positioning himself to be one of the most sought-after rappers of our generation, the Atlanta rapper continues to inspire the masses with his music and lifestyle.

Now, Lil Baby returns to bless fans with the official music video for “Go Hard,” which he first previewed on his Instagram in 2020. Released just a few days ago, the visual is already at over 1.6 million views and counting.

Directed by Never Panic Films, “Go Hard” sees Lil Baby living his best life, taking his crew on a yacht and throwing a party for the books. Covered in jewelry, Lil Baby is seen bringing the song to life amidst beautiful females, twerking, and even getting a massage at one point.

On the chorus, Lil Baby spits, “I’m back goin’ hard again. I’m shutting down my heart again. No one can get next to me, so they gotta put orders in. Try my best to act like I didn’t care, but I can’t hold it in/ And I’m not into losin’, I go hard as I can go to win.”

“Go Hard” is slated to be on Baby’s forthcoming album, which will follow the release of his third studio album titled It’s Only Me, released in October of last year. The project deemed Lil Baby, the youngest artist to ever reach 25 spots on the Billboard Hot 100, with every song making the charts at one point.

Lil Baby posted a snippet of the video to his 23 million followers on Instagram, with the hashtag #summertimecoming. In fact, Baby is slated to embark on his It’s Only Us Summer Tour, bringing along special guests Kid Laroi and GloRilla.

PS, if you look hard enough, you can see Lil Baby’s baby mama Jayda Cheaves in a few shots!

Jayda Cheaves Spotted In Lil Baby’s New Music Video

Jayda Cheaves and Lil Baby are a good example of a relationship turned into an amicable friendship in the pop culture world. Whether it’s partying or going to Atlanta Hawks games together, the former couple seem to mostly be on good terms. Sure, people online have their own opinions on whether or not Jayda should keep supporting Baby following cheating allegations. Regardless, the two still appear together often, keeping their post-romantic relationship afloat for their son and to just live more peacefully. Furthermore, a recent cameo in the Atlanta rapper’s latest music video gives more credence to that idea.

Just this week, Lil Baby released and shared the video for his long-awaited track “Go Hard,” which fans had already heard. It was one of the many leaked songs from the 28-year-old’s catalog, and it stood as a particular fan favorite online. Despite what many might say online, his fans still ride for him heavily, and there’s hope that he’ll only improve from here. In the video, fans spotted Jayda Cheaves in the background, and people once again debated whether she should stick by his side.

Regardless of those discussions, she made it clear that she was leaving him via Twitter back in March of last year. As such, their relationship has a clear line that she doesn’t intend to cross. “I’m finally standing up,” Jayda Cheaves wrote on her Instagram Story at the time in reference to Lil Baby. “Everything comes to an end. Never force it. Be happy. I’m willing to [X] anybody out for my happiness and peace. I post my own [tea] so I can clown myself before I get clowned. Cuz shiddddd it’s cold out here. Ion know how this [s**t] gon go. Have a beautiful day everyone.”

Meanwhile, Lil Baby is apparently moving on as well, or at least that’s what much of social media believes based on some new pictures. Moreover, fans spotted him dining with Khloé Kardashian earlier this week, which sent fans into a frenzy. Beyond conspiracies surrounding the Kardashian Curse, they expressed surprise at the pairing and now eagerly await a follow-up. With that in mind, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Jayda Cheaves and Lil Baby.

Lil Baby Finally Drops “Go Hard” Much To The Delight Of Fans

Lil Baby is one of the biggest artists in the world right now. Overall, this designation is very well deserved. He has been working extremely hard at his craft, and fans love him. Moreover, he is going to be heading out on tour soon, which means his fanfare will be at an all-time high. Albums like My Turn and It’s Only Me were huge in the streaming game. They produced some amazing tracks, and Lil Baby is a huge star because of them. However, fans are still clamoring for new music.

Earlier this week, Lil Baby took to Instagram where he teased a music video for a song that has been leaked in the past. The track is about three years old and was called “Again (Go Hard).” Although now, the song is actually here, and it is just called “Go Hard.” Either way, fans are just happy to finally have an official version of the song. Furthermore, as it turns out, this song is some of Baby’s best work to date.

Lil Baby Goes Hard On “Go Hard”

The track begins with some nice piano keys that stay with you as the trap drums kick in. Overall, Lil Baby has an immaculate flow here as the melodic rapping sounds fantastic. This is the sound that fans expect from Baby, and it definitely goes hard here. At the end of the day, this is a song that many have already heard. Although, it is very nice to see this kind of mastered version that is readily available on YouTube.

For now, the artist has yet to reveal if he has an album on the way. While he is always working on new music, there are no new details online. Let us know your thoughts on this song, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the music world.

Quotable Lyrics:

I’m back goin’ hard again, I’m shutting down my heart again
No one can’t get next to me, so they gotta put orders in
Try my best to act like I didn’t care, but I can’t hold it in
And I’m not into losin’, I go hard as I can go to win
