Lil Baby’s New Single, “Go Hard,” Sets The Tone For Our Latest “Fire Emoji” Playlist

The first New Music Friday of May has certainly brought with it plenty of evidence that our favourite lyricists aren’t coming to play this month. From must-hear new projects landing by DaBaby, Destroy Lonely, and Conway the Machine to singles arriving via Belly, IDK, and Lil Baby, we’ve got plenty to get into on this weekend’s Fire Emoji playlist update. Leading the way is the latter, Atlanta-based artist, who dropped off “Go Hard” this past Wednesday.

Besides new music from the My Turn hitmaker, we also selected a must-listen joint from Conway’s WON’T HE DO IT project. Our personal favourite is “Brooklyn Chop House” featuring Fabolous and Benny The Butcher, though we also spotlighted “Brucifix” on our new releases panel. Following that comes a collaborative effort from JELEEL! and Chow Lee, called “CONFETTI!,” as well as a solo effort from Belly, “Ambiance.”

As for other noteworthy joint titles, “Pissy” from Gucci Mane, Nardo Wick, and Roddy Ricch comes to mind, along with “Pinot Noir” from IDK, Jucee Froot, and Saucy Santana. We also heard SleazyWorld Go tap Polo G for “Off The Court,” and Lil Uzi Vert makes serious waves with their work on Snow Strippers’ “It’s A Dream.” From DaBaby’s CALL DA FIREMAN EP, we’ve been loving his “SELLIN CRACK” collaboration with Offset. Finally, from Destroy Lonely’s highly anticipated If Looks Could Kill album, we’ve picked two songs for your streaming consideration.

The first, “superstar,” appears midway through our list. At the very end, you’ll find our other choice – “money & sex – bonus” with Ken Carson. Of the 26 titles on the 21-year-old’s project, it’s the only one he included a feature on, letting his captivating presence, lyrical abilities and confidence carry him through the rest on his own. Tap into our weekly Fire Emoji playlist update on Spotify, and let us know if there are any other titles you would’ve added in the comments.
