Gloss Up is still apparently dealing with the fallout of her Hunxho scandal. To sum it up quickly, it’s basically a contentious and complex love triangle between them and Keyshia Cole, who is Hunxho’s current partner. Apparently, Gloss was still in the middle of them at a point, and she even got into a big fight with her boyfriend for him allegedly thinking that the two rappers are still linking up. She took issue with how disrespectfully he treated her and her children, whereas he took issue with how she was airing all of this out on social media. As you can imagine, it’s a pretty wild and unclear situation overall.

Furthermore, when Hunxho and Keyshia Cole first started dating, the big narrative around them was their age gap. Then, when Gloss Up shared some flirty BTS pics with him at a music video shoot, things got way more spicy through some social media shade. Eventually, the North Carolina MC confirmed his relationship with the singer and made it clear that he wasn’t going to take that narrative any longer. For those unaware, two Memphis rap stars are currently embroiled in some small beef stemming from a physical altercation. Moreover, Gloss Up recently tussled with one of Finesse2Tymes’ girlfriends, BBJay, last weekend. Not only did this create a rift between the two, but the “Shabooya” MC apparently leaked some alleged DMs on Instagram between her and Finesse. Furthermore, it’s unclear what the nature of this conversation was or when it took place, but Gloss seems to suggest that it happened right after the brawl occurred. Regardless, the 90 Days rapper responded to these claims in some lengthy Facebook posts, so it seems there might be more on the cards than we thought.

“Ahh no cap you juicy ash,” Finesse2Tymes allegedly wrote to Gloss Up via Instagram. “S**t cr*zy ash. Aight when u spin block I’ma give you same energy ni.” In addition, he apparently asked how she was doing after her brawl with one of his flames went viral. “U good,” he allegedly messaged Gloss. “I’m all good love keep going It’s all good.” However, now it seems like he wasn’t too happy with her leaking these messages, if they are true.

The Memphis native has been featured on tracks with artists such as her labelmate Lakeyah and GloRilla, to name a few. Now with her experience under her belt, she’s paying it forward by recruiting St. Louis rapper Sexyy Red for her new single.

Produced by Black Surfer and Rvei, “Check” is all about proudly boasting about your independence. As Gloss Up opens the chorus rapping, “I got my check-up, my p*ssy got a check-up too / Get a n**** when I want, pick a n**** when I choose / I be running through these n***** / they all know just how I move / I got my check-up,” she’s letting it be known that she’s going to secure financial stability by any means.

This goal is the driving force behind her grind. Gloss Up works twice as hard to let suitors admiring from the sidelines that if they aren’t willing to contribute to her bank account, then don’t even bother.

Flo Milli Drops Off Extended Version Of “You Still Here, Ho?”

Flo Milli is still here, whether you like it or not. The Alabama-based rapper came through in 2022 with the release of her debut album, You Still Here, Ho? The body of work included 17 songs in total and made a strong statement of her presence in rap. She isn’t necessarily diving into the same lanes as other women in rap but making her own strain of poppy, gruff, and overall, infectious bops. You Still Here, Ho? became a statement that let everyone know that she’s only going up from here.

Unlike most major label debuts, Flo Milli didn’t need A-List collaborations or any other assistance to get her point across. She handled the majority of the project on her own with features from Babyface Ray and Rico Nasty. However, she didn’t hold out on fans since then, coming through with a bunch of new singles to get them amped for what she had in store in 2023. Now that we’re here, she finally shared the deluxe edition.

Lola Brooke, Gloss Up & More Appear On Flo Milli’s Re-Release

Even as fans continue to keep You Still Here, Ho? On repeat, she doubled back with the official extended edition of the record. Flo Milli tacks on another three songs with a few more features to flesh out the project. Lola Brooke and Maiya The Don appear in “Conceited (Remix),” which arrived earlier this year. The two artists elevate the original with their unique voices. Meanwhile, Gloss Up and Monaleo, who Flo Milli collaborated with on “We Not Humping (Remix),” join forces on “Bed Time.” Finally, the previously released, “Nasty Dancer” also appears on the tracklist.

The re-release comes at a particularly exciting time in her career. Flo Milli is expected to hit the stage at Coachella next month following her performance at BOSE and NME’s C23 showcase at SXSW.
