Chrisean Rock & Gloss Up “N.A.L.B.” Single Brings Their Friendship Closer Together

We can hardly keep up with all the times Chrisean Rock was under fire in 2023. Still, the mother of one always manages to make a comeback, even after losing the public’s favour for assaulting a stranger at a Tamar Braxton concert or sharing too much information about her personal life on social media. Even with all of the drama surrounding her, Rock still maintains some strong female friendships, notably with Gloss Up, whom she collaborated with on a must-hear single this past New Music Friday (December 15).

On “N.A.L.B.” the two femcees vent about how men they’ve encountered in today’s dating pool “act like b**ches,” making them feel as though they need to step up and “act like ni**as.” For her part, the Baltimore native slid in some diss bars aimed at Blueface, such as “Real ni**a, I go too hard / His name Chrisean, ‘cuz I’m daddy” and “I shoulda got him pregnant because he actin’ like a fruity loop.” Gloss and Rock have been on Instagram Live celebrating their hard work as the track continues to make rounds on socials.

Chrisean Rock Celebrates Her Blueface Diss on Gloss Up’s New Single

“We gotta run this s**t up, like I really appreciate you,” the 26-year-old gushed to Junior’s mom. “I appreciate you too, I like the whole concept, yo. I was like, getting stuck on stuff. You help me out and say certain things,” Rock said to Gloss Up, giving her flowers. Even though the music video turned out amazing, both women apparently hated their hair the day that they were filming, but still managed to make the best of the situation.

While Chrisean Rock continues to make it clear she doesn’t need Blueface in her life to help raise their son, the “Thotiana” rapper seems to be trying to save his relationship with Jaidyn Alexis. While the mother of two has taken her MILF Music booking information out of her Instagram bio, her baby daddy insists that she actually owns his new label. Who Is Opening Lil Baby’s ‘It’s Only Us Tour?’

With Lil Baby’s It’s Only Us Tour entering its final month, some fans are still wondering who the four opening acts are. As the original subheadliner, The Kid Laroi, dropped out before the tour began, and Lil Baby himself doesn’t take the stage until about 9:30 pm, it’s understandable that concertgoers might want to know more about the artists taking the stage before him. Here are the opening artists on Lil Baby’s It’s Only Us Tour.

Hunxho is another Atlanta trap artist who operates in the same vein as rap crooners like Future and Rich Homie Quan. He’s a prolific creator, releasing three projects in 2023 alone, and has begun gaining more prominence thanks to his featured appearance on Quavo’s new album, Rocket Power.

Gloss Up is a Memphis rapper who happens to be GloRilla’s best friend and Lil Baby’s labelmate on Quality Control. She’s shown up on tracks with the likes of Lakeyah and Sexyy Red, and has a growing following based on her relatable ratchet raps.

Rylo Rodriguez is an artist on Lil Baby’s 4 Pockets Full imprint, who gained a certain amount of online infamy with the goofy cover for his mixtape, GOAT In Human Form. The hilarity was amplified with the revelation that he didn’t even realize GOAT is an acronym for “Greatest Of All Time” until this year.

Finally, there’s GloRilla, whose hit song “FNF” made her one of hip-hop’s hottest it-girls last year. She signed with CMG and is currently working on her debut album, looking to build on her successful breakout with some more Dirty South favorite Memphis trap swings like “Lick Or Sum” with Moneybagg Yo.

Gloss Up Leaks Finesse2Tymes DMs After Fighting His Girlfriend

For those unaware, two Memphis rap stars are currently embroiled in some small beef stemming from a physical altercation. Moreover, Gloss Up recently tussled with one of Finesse2Tymes’ girlfriends, BBJay, last weekend. Not only did this create a rift between the two, but the “Shabooya” MC apparently leaked some alleged DMs on Instagram between her and Finesse. Furthermore, it’s unclear what the nature of this conversation was or when it took place, but Gloss seems to suggest that it happened right after the brawl occurred. Regardless, the 90 Days rapper responded to these claims in some lengthy Facebook posts, so it seems there might be more on the cards than we thought.

“Ahh no cap you juicy ash,” Finesse2Tymes allegedly wrote to Gloss Up via Instagram. “S**t cr*zy ash. Aight when u spin block I’ma give you same energy ni.” In addition, he apparently asked how she was doing after her brawl with one of his flames went viral. “U good,” he allegedly messaged Gloss. “I’m all good love keep going It’s all good.” However, now it seems like he wasn’t too happy with her leaking these messages, if they are true.

Gloss Up And Sexyy Red’s ‘Check’ Is Up And The Pair Isn’t Afraid To Publicly Boast About It

The ever-flowing wave of women in rap music is a treat to watch. Quality Control’s Gloss Up is amongst the list of newer acts to pay close attention to. The Memphis native has been featured on tracks with artists such as her labelmate Lakeyah and GloRilla, to name a few. Now with her experience under her belt, she’s paying it forward by recruiting St. Louis rapper Sexyy Red for her new single.

Produced by Black Surfer and Rvei, “Check” is all about proudly boasting about your independence. As Gloss Up opens the chorus rapping, “I got my check-up, my p*ssy got a check-up too / Get a n**** when I want, pick a n**** when I choose / I be running through these n***** / they all know just how I move / I got my check-up,” she’s letting it be known that she’s going to secure financial stability by any means.

This goal is the driving force behind her grind. Gloss Up works twice as hard to let suitors admiring from the sidelines that if they aren’t willing to contribute to her bank account, then don’t even bother.

In the official visual directed by Diesel Filmz, the ladies have fun as their ambition brings all the boys to the yard or at least their fun ice cream stand.

Flo Milli Drops Off Extended Version Of “You Still Here, Ho?”

Flo Milli is still here, whether you like it or not. The Alabama-based rapper came through in 2022 with the release of her debut album, You Still Here, Ho? The body of work included 17 songs in total and made a strong statement of her presence in rap. She isn’t necessarily diving into the same lanes as other women in rap but making her own strain of poppy, gruff, and overall, infectious bops. You Still Here, Ho? became a statement that let everyone know that she’s only going up from here.

Unlike most major label debuts, Flo Milli didn’t need A-List collaborations or any other assistance to get her point across. She handled the majority of the project on her own with features from Babyface Ray and Rico Nasty. However, she didn’t hold out on fans since then, coming through with a bunch of new singles to get them amped for what she had in store in 2023. Now that we’re here, she finally shared the deluxe edition.

Lola Brooke, Gloss Up & More Appear On Flo Milli’s Re-Release

Even as fans continue to keep You Still Here, Ho? On repeat, she doubled back with the official extended edition of the record. Flo Milli tacks on another three songs with a few more features to flesh out the project. Lola Brooke and Maiya The Don appear in “Conceited (Remix),” which arrived earlier this year. The two artists elevate the original with their unique voices. Meanwhile, Gloss Up and Monaleo, who Flo Milli collaborated with on “We Not Humping (Remix),” join forces on “Bed Time.” Finally, the previously released, “Nasty Dancer” also appears on the tracklist.

The re-release comes at a particularly exciting time in her career. Flo Milli is expected to hit the stage at Coachella next month following her performance at BOSE and NME’s C23 showcase at SXSW. Though she previously hit the road for a headlining tour in late 2022, we hope that she’ll be hitting the road again this summer and bringing her bops with her city to city. Check out the deluxe edition of her new album above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.

GloRilla Surprises Fans With “Anyways Life’s Great… Bonus Edition” Ft. Lil Durk, Trina & More

Glorilla continues to dominate the rap game as the First Lady of CMG. Since the release of her breakout single, “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” she’s proven that she’s far from a one-hit-wonder. Songs like “Tomorrow 2” with Cardi B and “Blessed” made her one of the most popular artists on TikTok. Evidently, her success extends well beyond social media. Within a matter of months, she earned her a spot along rap legends of the Hip-Hop 50 segment at the Grammys, where she was also nominated for Best Rap Performance.

The aforementioned singles all landed on the tracklist of her debut project, Anyways Life’s Great. She managed to debut right outside the top 10 of the Billboard 200 with 28K units sold. It’s not a feat that many artists can achieve off the strength of a single or two but it was a firm reminder of her staying power in the rap game. However, she isn’t done yet, unloading a new version of the record with bonus songs.

GloRilla Adds Four Tracks To “Anyways Life’s Great”

Shortly after teasing her collaboration with Lil Durk, “Ex’s (PHATNALL Remix),” she came through with a bonus edition to her debut project. This morning, she shared Anyways, Life’s Great… Bonus Edition boasts another four songs, extending the tracklist to 13 songs in total. In addition to Durk’s remix of “Phatnall,” she enlists NikiPooh for the remix of “Get That Money,” which also includes an appearance from fellow Memphis rapper Gloss Up. Trina also appears on the tracklist for the remix of “Nut Quick.” The final entry that rounds out the extended tracklist is “Don’t Know,” which is described as the “GloRidaz Bonus.”

The release of Anyways Life’s Great… Remix comes a little over a month since she released her first record of the year, “Internet Trolls.” Though the song became a huge success online, it’s surprising that it didn’t land as a bonus track on her project. It’s unclear if GloRilla plans to unveil another project before the year comes to an end. However, the release of these four records will hold us over until she’s ready to drop. Check the tracklist below.

GloRilla And Her ‘BestFrenn’ Gloss Up Make One Hell Of A Tag Team In Their Wrestling-Themed New Video

One of the traits that endeared GloRilla to audiences so much during her breakout in 2022 was her commitment to bringing her “ratchet ass friends” along for the ride. That included fellow Memphis rapper Gloss Up, who landed her own record deal with Atlanta’s Quality Control Music. Despite being on different labels now, the two clearly remain best friends, celebrating and showing off their bond in Gloss’s aptly-titled new single, “BestFrenn.”

In the video, Gloss and Glo get their GLOW on, borrowing the themes and aesthetic of an underground wrestling promotion. They make one hell of a tag team, taking on all challengers, which include the “Laso Girls” a cowboy-themed duo,
“Battle Buddies,” who share a military look, and “Biker Girls,” whose gimmick ought to be obvious from their title. In the lyrics, the two Memphis rappers boast, “Wе don’t do no one-on-one, we all bе jumpin’ in.” Sounds about right.

While GloRilla was the clear 2022 rookie of the year, Gloss Up was no slouch herself. She appeared on labelmate Lakeyah’s mixtape No Pressure Pt. 2, lending a belligerent verse to the single “Real B*tch” and establishing herself as a potential star in her own right. With Glo backing her up and the QC machine at her disposal, it’s only a matter of time until she proves every bit the crowd-pleasing presence as her bestie.
