GloRilla And Megan Thee Stallion Link Up Once Again On The In-Your-Face ‘How I Look’

GloRilla’s hotly anticipated new album Glorious is out today (October 11), and the project sees her teaming up with buddy Megan Thee Stallion on “How I Look.” The hard-hitting track sees the two continuing to foster the collaborative energy they established on “Wanna Be” earlier this year.

Last month, Glo and Megan expressed interest in making a joint album. In an interview, Meg said, “I think that would be very fire. I ain’t gon’ say too much, but it feels like it’s going to get done.” Glo added, “Megan is a real rapper, and I’m also a real rapper. We actually be talking and coming with bars on some down South gangsta sh*t. [It would be] some down South, real turnt, real rap [sh*t].”

This comes after GloRilla admitting she wasn’t sure about Megan when they first met, saying, “I first met you at your Hottieween party last year, and I ain’t gonna lie, I was kinda shy. You were just acting like you weren’t drinking that night. I was like… in my head, I’m like, ‘This b*tch ain’t acting like she ain’t drinking,’ like, ‘What’s up with this b*tch?’”

GloRilla Is The Life Of The Party On Her Electric Debut Album “Glorious”

GloRilla has been building a buzz for a minute. She has proven to be one of the most exciting and consistent names in hip hop when it comes drop fun and energetic party anthems. “TGIF” popped off during the summer, and the scene-stealing verses GloRilla dropped on other albums ensured that she would have plenty of eyes on her debut. Well, Glorious is finally here, and it lives up to its title. GloRilla doesn’t overstay her welcome, and instead delivers a concise, 42-minute showcase for all her pros and stylistic strengths. “INTRO” proves that few can sound harder than her on a trap beat, while the second song, “HOLLON,” is one of her hardest singles to date.

The highlights continue on the album cuts. GloRilla and Latto swap lavish bars on “PROCEDURE,” while the former and Sexyy Red go even harder on the soon-to-be hit “WHATCHU KNOW ABOUT ME.” It’s the exact kind of sound and subject matter that both rappers are known for, and they make it sound great. It is a testament to GloRilla, however, that the less obvious songs also work on Glorious. “Stop Playing” is one of the album’s highlights, and it packs a positive message into a hypnotic, snappy throwback beat. GloRilla even sounds good opposite Kirk Franklin on “RAIN DOWN ON ME.” GloRilla showed even more range than was expected, ensuring that she’s going to stick around in the game.

Yes, GloRilla Knows What You Think About Her Accent, But She Thinks People’s Reactions Are Hilarious

Ever since her star turn in 2022 with “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” GloRilla has been one of the most charming stars in rap. Every interview is a gold mine of meme moments, from shooting her shot with NBA star Damian Lillard to coining hilarious catchphrases. But of her most delightful moments (which include revealing rap relations with both Lil Uzi Vert and Cardi B), the thing it seems fans can’t help getting hung up on is her Memphis accent.

During her recent interview with Complex‘s Speedy Morman — which you can watch in full above — the topic came up after the host couldn’t stop cackling about her pronunciations of words and phrases like “newsfeed,” “beautiful spirit,” “cute,” and anything with the “ew” sound in it. “How often do you speak and people comment?” Morman asked. “All the time,” she admitted with a thousand watt grin. “I’m used to it now, but I just be like, ‘Dang, y’all really don’t understand me.’ It’s like I speak Spanish and sh*t.” The Complex editors were nice enough to collect a compilation of her best accent moments from the interview. GloRilla Claims That People Say Rihanna Is Her Twin

It’s an exciting week for GloRilla because she’s about to drop her debut album, Glorious. It’s coming on the heels of her Ehhthang Ehhthang mixtape, so she’s really looking to maximize her 2024 without a doubt. Just a couple of days ago, the Memphis rapper revealed the project’s tracklist and it’s a pretty stacked one at that. Features will include Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, BossMan Dlow, Sexyy Red, Muni Long, T-Pain, and more. It’s also going to have 15 songs and it’s dropping this Friday, October 11. It’s going to be interesting to see how it compares to her previous tape, as it was a solid release.

But given how rock steady she’s been this year, we expect it to be a better project overall. Overall, we are excited for it, but maybe not as much as someone else. If you remember, Rihanna was yearning for it this summer. In fact, she even DM’d Big Glo asking when her album was dropping. She has not been shy about her support for the “Yeah Glo!” hitmaker, as she recently was vibing heavily to “TGIF,” one of the lead singles to Glorious.

Glo has been extremely thankful for RiRi’s love, and she’s been on the record expressing how much respect she’s got for the R&B legend. You could almost say they love each other like sisters. This comparison has been floating around the internet for a little while that they physically look pretty similar. Glo’s aware of it, partially thanks to her grandmother, but also due to the masses, so she claims. She stated this in a recent interview surrounding the release of her album and the internet isn’t buying that one bit. ““People” Just Be Saying ANYTHING 😂,” one IG user says. “Ain’t nobody said no sh** like that 😂,” another adds. Personally, we do see it just a little bit, but we want to hear your opinions.

What are your thoughts on GloRilla claiming that people say she looks like Rihanna? Do you see any sort of resemblance? Are you excited for Glorious this Friday? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding GloRilla and Rihanna. Glorilla Recalls Seeing Rihanna Dance to “TGIF” on IG: ‘People Be Saying That’s My Twin’

GloRilla is still amazed that Rihanna made a video of her “TGIF” banger. In a conversation with Billboard, GloRilla revealed her reaction while showing some love to Beyoncé.

“Riri [was] asking for the album and dancing to the song,” GLo said. “She don’t be dancing to people’s song. When she did that, I was like, ‘Wow,’ ’cause you know, people be saying that’s my twin. They be hatin’ on me. I love Rihanna. I’m a big fan of Rihanna. I love Beyoncé. I’m the biggest fan of Beyoncé. This was my third time meeting her and she’s always so sweet every time. I love her.”

After the video, Rihanna contacted the Memphis star via IG DM with a playful question. Hmm, about her next project’s release date.

Rihanna kind of had the hilarious audacity to ask, “You got all summer sis! I know dis wild hypothetical, but when the album drop?”

Fans, being overly sensitive fans, were a bit more concerned with the long gestating drop of Rihanna’s own album, R9, than that of Glo’s debut body of work.

GloRilla Reveals Her Loaded Feature List For Upcoming Debut Album “Glorious”

For GloRilla, she really couldn’t have had any better of a year. Even though she hasn’t been doing this for that long, this may go down as her best stretch ever. She delivered her most solid release to date with Ehhthang Ehhthang (at least in our opinion) received tons of nominations across the board and dropped some of the biggest hits of 2024. “Yeah Glo!” was a terrific and empowering comeback for the Memphis native, as there was a lot of doubt surrounding her following a lackluster 2023 in some people’s eyes. “TGIF” may not be the better track, but it’s still a huge song, especially during the summer.

Now, in just a few short days, GloRilla will be looking to end things on an even stronger note with Glorious. This is her upcoming debut album, and it’s slated to hit DSPs on October 11. With us being this close, Big Glo is giving us some exciting things to chew over in the meantime. According to Billboard, she has just revealed the features and the tracklist, which is set at 15.

Speaking of the guests, there are tons of stars on deck, so let’s rattle them off. Megan Thee Stallion, who has become Glo’s new bestie, is coming back for seconds. They had tons of success with “Wanna Be,” so why not run back round two? Others will include Sexyy Red, Latto, Kirk Franklin, BossMan Dlow, new R&B powerhouse Muni Long, T-Pain, Chandler Moore, Fridayy, and more.

What are your thoughts on the feature list for GloRilla’s debut album Glorious? Which collaboration are you the most excited for? Who will have the best performance and why? Damian Lillard Elaborates On GloRilla Rumors

We didn’t expect Damian Lillard and GloRilla relationship rumors to pop up in 2024, but here we are. For those unaware, the two had social media talking after the Memphis rapper thirsted for the NBA star, although they’ve always downplayed that there’s actually something going on there. However, the question came up yet again during the Milwaukee Bucks’ media day, and Lillard had a pretty diplomatic answer. While he didn’t go into much detail all things considered, this is definitely the most direct and elaborated response to this speculation so far. All we wonder is why this was so big for basketball reporters to cover…

“We know each other,” Damian Lillard said of GloRIlla. “She’s an artist, I’m an artist, but as far as anything else, it ain’t nothing going on. That’s what I can tell you.” Previously, she dodged questions about him from Shannon Sharpe, particularly a pointed one about her favorite basketball players. Even though this is ripe headline fodder, neither individual really took it seriously enough to create much of a conversation. Sure, they addressed it, but it seems like they don’t even understand what the big deal is.

Damian Lillard Says There’s “Nothing Going On” Between Him & GloRilla

However, when some beef and shade found its way into the group chat, GloRilla in particular chose to double down on this gossip. Damian Lillard’s ex wife Kay’La seemed to mock rumors about the two when authorities arrested Glo for a DUI in Atlanta. She then responded by rocking a custom “GloLillard” jersey and flaunting it online, which many took as a direct rebuttal to Kay’La and not just generally playing into the meme. So it’s all fun and games until the negativity rolls in.

Meanwhile, GloRilla is really looking forward to the release of her debut album Glorious, and this would follow an earlier 2024 mixtape. Maybe she could even get Damian Lillard – sorry, Dame D.O.L.L.A. – for a feature. Jokes aside, we wonder how much more this speculation will last, especially since it’s been a couple of months since either celebrity’s last comments on it. Is there really that much more to unearth or are we thirsty for tea?

Damian Lillard Got Asked About GloRilla At Bucks Media Day And Said ‘It Ain’t Nothin Goin On’

Damian Lillard is going into his second season in Milwaukee as a member of the Bucks, after he was traded there in a stunning deal two summers ago. The pairing of Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo was supposed to create one of the most formidable tandems in the East, but the 2023-24 season didn’t go according to plan, as the Bucks got bounced in the first round by the Pacers, with both Giannis and Dame finishing that series watching from the sidelines with injuries.

This summer, the Bucks stayed pretty quiet, making a couple additions on the margins with Gary Trent Jr. and Delon Wright, but will mostly hope that they can stay healthy and challenge the Celtics, Knicks, and Sixers for a Finals berth. On Monday, Lillard and the rest of the Bucks met with the media, and the toughest question he faced wasn’t about what the Bucks need to do to take down the defending champs or make strides in a full offseason with Doc Rivers at the helm.

No, the toughest question came when someone asked Lillard about GloRilla shooting her shot at him at All-Star Weekend last year and whether anything was going on between the two stars.

Lillard has previously shot down questions about GloRilla, but this time was willing to divulge a bit more and have some fun with the question. “We know each other. She’s an artist, I’m an artist, but as far as anything else, it ain’t nothin’ goin’ on. That’s what I can tell you,” Lillard said.

That’s a professional answer from Dame, but it also provides the closest thing to clarity on whether there’s any relationship between he and the Memphis rapper.

GloRilla Receives “Key To Fashion Week” At New York Fashion Week Festival

The Model Experience (TME) hosted another spectacular fashion and music festival in New York on September 13th and 14th at the Armory Arena. A major highlight of this year’s NYFW event was a performance by chart-topping phenom GloRilla.

GloRilla took the stage on the first day, alongside YouTube star Ar’mon Warren. The second day featured rising star Lola Brooke and up-and-coming artist Keno, with MTV’s Margie Plus as the host. TME also showcased a series of fashion shows featuring designers like IFlyUniverse, SpiritHoods, By A Guy, and Street Dream Apparel, with special guests such as Maino, Lyrica Anderson, and more.

One of the most anticipated moments of this year’s Fashion Week Festival was TME’s presentation of the inaugural “Key to Fashion Week” to GloRilla, symbolizing her influence at the intersection of music and fashion. This ceremonial honor celebrates artists who have not only dominated their fields but have become style icons in their own right. GloRilla’s fearless sense of style, blending streetwear with high fashion, had inspired fans worldwide, making her a natural choice for this prestigious recognition. The “Key to Fashion Week” served as a symbolic entryway into the world of fashion’s elite, recognizing her role in shaping trends and setting the tone for future generations of creatives.
