Drake Continues Joe Budden Beef With More Apparent Disses On Instagram Story

The Drake and Joe Budden feud is raging on, it seems, even as the former is busy with wrapping up his 21 S*vage-assisted tour. For those unaware, the two started going back and forth following the former Everyday Struggle host’s harsh criticism of Drizzy’s latest album, For All The Dogs. It’s been a pretty contentious cycle so far, with many people clowning one, the other, or both for their pettiness. However, it’s far from over, which the Toronto MC seems happy to keep up on his Instagram Story. It’s not directly aimed at Joe (well, some of it, at least), but it’s impossible to ignore the context clues.

“You thought you was Kobe,” Drake wrote with a crying-laughing emoji, presumably about Joe Budden, on Saturday (October 7). In addition, he also shared a TikTok clip of an old NBA game, a classic that many hoopers reading this will recognize. “Chasing that farewell tour, they don’t love you like that,” Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors told the Clippers’ Paul Pierce during a game. “You can’t get no farewell tour ’cause they don’t love you like that… You thought you was Kobe.”

“You Thought You Was Kobe”

Not only that, but the 6 God also took aim at Joe Budden’s inner circle- at the very least, within the podcasting space. In a separate IG Story post, Drake called out The Joe Budden Podcast‘s co-host Parks. “Sorry one more thing…” he expressed. “Imagine listening to Mark Zuckerberg tell the next generation about good verses and turnt beats,” The Boy concluded with some crying-laughing emojis. Also, he used a recent IG caption to send shots at someone posting about him, which we know isn’t directed at the rapper and media personality because, well, he already spoke.

Drake Blasts Parks & Sends Mystery Shots

Meanwhile, it’s hard to say where this beef is going to go from here, if anywhere. Will we catch some subliminals at the Slaughterhouse member on the next studio album, will they make amends, or is this buried right here? Let’s give it a couple of weeks and see where the tensions are at. For more news and the latest updates on Drake and Joe Budden, come back to HNHH.

Druski Trolls Drake & Cash Money, Birdman Responds

Druski trolled Drake and Cash Money on social media, Friday, joking that the Toronto rapper stole his Coulda Been Records flow on the track “Daylight.” Drake dropped the song, along with the rest of For All The Dogs, on Friday.

In a video posted to Instagram and Twitter, Druski plays Drake’s “Daylight” while also playing a song of his own that he notes sounds awfully similar. In response, Birdman commented: “Bro you still playin with a real gangsta SMH.” Drake also fired back: “Stunna bout to have you come up missing on Gladys.”

It’s not the first time that Druski has feuded with Birdman and Drake in character for his Coulda Been Records skits. Back in July, Birdman went on Instagram Live to call out the comedian. “I’ve been looking for you, ni**a,” Birdman said at the time. “I heard you was in my neck of the woods. I ain’t think it would’ve been gangsta if I pulled up on you… but you won’t come outside or inside, ni**a.” He also accused Druski of trying to sign Drake and NBA YoungBoy. “It’s like you starting to step on my toes…You young ni**as really got the game fucked up. I am that ni**a, ni**a!,” he said. “I’ve been watching this sh*t you doing. What the fuck is this record label you starting?”

Birdman Warns Joe Budden Amid Drake Beef: “Calm Down”

Drake dropped off his new album For All The Dogs yesterday after months of teasing. Fans were looking forward to hearing the Canadian hitmaker lay out some beef on the LP, and they don’t appear to be disappointed. He’s even got some drama brewing online lately, with none other than Joe Budden. Budden was quick to share his thoughts on the album on his podcast, and he didn’t seem to be a big fan. He didn’t go too hard on him, but nonetheless, Drake fired back.

The “First Person Shooter” performer had a lot to say about Budden’s less-than-satisfied review, and things got pretty personal. Drake told Budden he’s “failed at music,” claiming that he now has to comment on other people’s successes to make a living. He further accused Budden of being jealous of him, and “projecting his own self hate” onto Drake.

Birdman Tells Joe Budden He’s Not Built For “Real Gangsta Sh*t”

Joe Budden kept it simple with his response, telling Drake, “You’ll grow up sooner or later… Father time is undefeated.” He’s since replied to some Tweets, claiming that his comments were “said with love.” Drake, on the other hand, has continued to throw shade on his Instagram Story. “Sorry one more thing,” he captioned a screenshot of Budden’s podcast. “Imagine listening to Mark Zuckerberg tell the next generation about good verses and turnt beats.”

Amid the drama, Birdman took to his own IG Story to chime in, warning Budden to stop messing with Drake. “@Joebudden calm down brother,” he captioned a photo of the personality. “You not built 4this real gangsta sh*t @champagnepapi @cashmoneyofficial.” It’s no secret that Birdman and Drake have a close bond, however, it’s unclear what he meant by his message to Budden. What do you think of Drake and Joe Budden going back and forth on social media? How do you feel about Birdman’s warning? He has definitely had an amazing run and I would always be like ‘he don’t got a classic album.’ His best album to me was Take Care. This joint? Ice Cube Thanks J. Cole For Shoutout On Drake’s “First Person Shooter”

Ice Cube thanked J. Cole on Twitter, Saturday, after the rapper mentioned The BIG3 basketball league in his verse on Drake’s song, “First Person Shooter.” The track is featured on Drake’s new album, For All The Dogs. In the third verse, Cole raps, “Love when they argue the hardest MC/Is it K-Dot? Is it Aubrey? Or me?/We the big three like we started a league/But right now, I feel like Muhammad Ali.”

In response, Cube wrote on Twitter: “Shoutout to @JColeNC for mentioning @thebig3 on his new song with @Drake called “First Person Shooter”. Thanks for the love.” Cole has proven his basketball fandom numerous times throughout his career and even purchased a stake in the Charlotte Hornets, earlier this year.

The thanks comes despite Cole’s affiliation with the NBA, which Cube says is working to “destroy” the BIG3. During an interview with Basketball News back in 2020, Cube explained: “The NBA hasn’t been the nicest to the BIG3. Of course, publicly, they say all the right words. But we know privately, there’s things done behind the scenes [with] sponsors, broadcasters, blah blah blah… It did tarnish my fandom a bit.” Check out Cube’s message for J. Cole below.

Keith Sweat Praises Drake After “For All The Dogs” Release

Keith Sweat shared praise for Drake while speaking with TMZ at LAX over the weekend. Following the release of the Toronto rapper’s new album, For All The Dogs, Sweat explained that Drake is winning in all genres.

“My son is a big Drake fan. I mean, I am a fan too. I haven’t heard nothing yet, I heard he’s dropping it. That’s the news right now,” Sweat began. When asked whether Drake takes the R&B crown as well as rap, Sweat added: “You can’t take nothing from him. I’m a fan. He does his thing vocally, musically, and does his rap thing.” He then noted the freedom artists have to experiment with varying genres in today’s generation. “He’s hitting all genres. You gotta give him his flowers. Who put the limitation on who you can be in what area?” Sweat concluded by congratulating Drake on the new album.

IShowSpeed Quotes Drake And Flexes Broken Planet Drip

IShowSpeed’s latest Instagram post featured a little bit of drip and a little bit of Drake. Speed posted a series of pictures that showcased a collection of Broken Planet outfits. The capsule drop clothing line has become a favorite amongst rappers and streamers in recent months. Alongside the images, Speed included a quote from Drake. “My youngins richer than all you rappers, and they all stream,” read the caption. The line comes from “First Person Shooter”, the J. Cole collab from the recently released For All The Dogs.

However, Speed isn’t the only streamer getting in on the “First Person Shooter”. Many believe it to be a reference to Kai Cenat, the wildly popular streamer who has been breaking into the music biz in recent months. Furthermore, Cenat was hosting a livestream listening party for the album. That included receiving a surprise FaceTime call from Drake himself in the middle of the party. Furthermore, Cenat told Drizzy that he would be in Toronto for the two shows on the It’s All a Blur tour happening in the city this weekend.

Speed’s Livestream Experiment Goes Horribly Wrong

However, it’s not all been flexing and Drake quotes for Speed. Earlier this week, Speed sparked concern amongst his fans after a science experiment went horribly wrong. The controversial streamer chose to conduct the “elephant’s toothpaste” experiment in his home. The common science experiment, which involves mixing several chemicals together to create a rapidly expanding, thick, foamy substance, is not typically done indoors. This is due to the amount of heat and fumes the mixture can give off. However, Speed did it anyway and fans grew increasingly concerned as thick smoke filled the streamer’s bedroom.

While some outlets have reported that Speed was hospitalized due to the incident, this does not appear to be the case. Slipz, Speed’s cameraman, later confirmed to the audience that Speed was receiving oxygen from firefighters who had arrived at his house. “He was in here too long bro, he’s like struggling to breathe,” said his cameraman. “We’ve got fucking firefighters and shit outside trying to help him. I don’t know what’s happening.” However later, Speed’s own account wrote “Speed is currently with the firefighters, they’re giving him oxygen so he can breathe, he should be fine guys” in his chat.

Drake Eviscerates Joe Budden In Scathing Response To “For All The Dogs” Criticism

Drake finally dropped his coveted new project For All The Dogs yesterday, and Joe Budden was quick to share his thoughts on his podcast. Budden weighed in on the album, making it clear that he wasn’t exactly impressed. He advised Drake to start hanging out with people his “own age” instead of young internet personalities like Kai Cenat, claiming that he’s now “rapping for the children.” Budden didn’t completely discredit the Canadian hitmaker, however, noting that he’s still “the golden child” and is likely to find success no matter what. While some thought the criticism was fair, others didn’t take to it kindly, including Drake.

Recently, Drizzy took to social media to clap back, and he went in. He claimed that Budden is nothing but a “quitter” who now has to comment on other people’s work in order to pay his bills. The lengthy rant didn’t stop there, however. Drake also claimed that Budden is simply “projecting his own self hate” onto other people, and is jealous of his success.

Drake Roasts Joe Budden In Response To Album Review

Budden then responded to his comment with a simple message, claiming that Drake’s still got some maturing to do. “You’ll grow up sooner or later,” he wrote, adding “Father time is undefeated.” Clearly, Drake took things pretty far with his response, and Budden appears to be sticking to his guns for now.

With that being said, this certainly has the potential to develop further, and it’s likely that Joe Budden could provide a more detailed response to his rant sometime in the near future. What do you think of Drake’s response to Joe Budden’s For All The Dogs review? Do you think it was justified, or was Joe Budden’s criticism fair? Drake Posts “Yeat Carry” T-Shirt, Uses Grammy As A Doorstop

Drake unveiled his latest project For All The Dogs yesterday, and as expected, it’s jam-packed with high-profile features. The album includes appearances from J. Cole, SZA, Lil Yachty, Bad Bunny, and more. One track even features a verse from 23-year-old performer Yeat. The collab didn’t come as too much of a surprise for fans, as Drake’s shown love to the California-born musician in the past. Last month, Drizzy shared a shot of Yeat on his Instagram Story, which many fans thought was a hint that he’d be on For All The Dogs.

He also got listeners talking when he gave Yeat a shoutout on his It’s All A Blur tour over the summer, putting him up on the jumbotron. The social media sleuths were proven right when the project dropped, and Yeat was featured on the track “IDGAF.” Drake took to his Instagram Story once again last night, giving the artist a bit of a shoutout ahead of his Toronto performance. He shared a photo of a man rocking a black t-shirt, complete with the phrase “Yeat Carry” written in white. The post seems to be a nod to Yeat and Drake’s haters at the same time, and commenters appear to think it’s pretty amusing.

Elsewhere on his story, Drake also shared a photo from what appeared to be his dressing room. The hitmaker was sure to flex his Grammy in the post, using the coveted award as a doorstop. The move is a nod to his new track “First Person Shooter” with J. Cole, in which he raps “I told Jimmy Jam I use a GRAMMY as a door stop.”

Drake Makes Sure Our New “Fire Emoji” Playlist Update Is “For All The Dogs”

Unsurprisingly, our first October Fire Emoji playlist update of 2023 features none other than October’s Very Own- and in a big way. Drake’s For All The Dogs is the talk of the town right now, and there are so many tracks to dive into and explore when it comes to the bangers on display this week. Of course, we’d be remiss not to mention Drizzy’s excellent J. Cole collab, “First Person Shooter,” or his unmatched lyrical performance on the album with “8AM In Charlotte.” In addition, the wavy but nonetheless hard-hitting “What Would Pluto Do” is not just a great Future homage, but a catchy cut regardless. Finally, we chose to shout out “Rich Baby Daddy” with Sexyy Red and SZA as one of the most fiery style mashups on FATD.

However, Drake might’ve had the biggest album of the week, but in this writer’s opinion, he’s leagues away from the best. Taking up another spot on Fire Emoji is a track from that title’s occupant: Earl Sweatshirt and The Alchemist’s VOIR DIRE. They finally released the whole thing on streaming, and while some amazing records didn’t make this version, they made up for that with stellar cuts. With help from Vince Staples, the song “Mancala” has impeccable wordplay, a lot of heart, and a classically fire Uncle Al beat.

HNHH Fire Emoji Playlist: Stream

Furthermore, our latest Fire Emoji updates also showcases Denzel Curry’s “SKED” with Kenny Mason. That track came out a little bit ago, so don’t sleep on its B-side that dropped this week: the tough-as-nails “WOO” with PlayThatBoiZay and Chief Pound. Another heater to come was Kevin Gates’ “God Slippers,” assisted with some overpowering bass. It’s a pretty boastful and dramatic cut, but one that his vocal tone fits quite well.

Meanwhile, BigXthaPlug came through with a groovy but still trunk-knocking sample flip of The Whispers’ “And The Beat Goes On” on “Mmhmm.” Finally, Tee Grizzley and Finesse2tymes teamed up for the bouncy and aptly titled “Grizzley 2Tymes.” With these gems in mind, let us know what your favorite hip-hop release this week was in the comments below. Also, check out our Fire Emoji playlist above and stick around on HNHH for more great music releases each week.
