On September 19, Portnoy wrote an op-ed for Barstool entitled “I Now Think Travis Kelce Is Using Taylor Swift For Clout”. Furthermore, Portnoy doubled down on the notion after Jason Kelce joked on Philly sports radio that the rumors about his brother and Swift were true. “Again side with Keegs. Kareem Hunt Re-Signs With The Browns After Nick Chubb Injury

Free agent running back Kareem Hunt has signed a deal reportedly worth $4 million to return to the Cleveland Browns. The move comes after starting running back Nick Chubb was ruled out with a season-ending injury following the Browns’ Monday night loss to the Steelers. Hunt previously played for the Browns between 2019 and 2022. However, he left the team at the end of the 2022 season. Last month, ESPN and other outlets reported that Hunt had met with a number of teams, including the Saints, but would begin the season teamless.

Originally drafted in 2017 by the Chiefs, Hunt was released after a video of him assaulting a woman emerged online. The Browns signed Hunt ahead of the 2019 season. Over four seasons, Hunt has recorded 1874 yards and 16 touchdowns across 49 games. Per Ourlads, Hunt is listed as the RB2 behind 2022 draft pick Jerome Ford. Ford has 142 yards through the first two games of the season, including 106 against the Steelers. The Browns host the Titans on Sunday night.

Despite signing Hunt, the Browns were candid about the fact that there is no replacing Nick Chubb. “You don’t replace Nick Chubb. You just don’t do that. Great players in the league, you look around, they go out. It’s always not one person that replaces a player of [Chubb’s] caliber. So, everybody’s got to do a little bit more, a little bit more everywhere,” head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters. Chubb has 6511 yards and 48 touchdowns since being drafted by the Browns in 2018. He has four Pro Bowl appearances and was named to the All-Pro Second Team in 2022.

While a number of options were available to the Browns when it came to filling out their running back pool, Hunt was their first choice. Sources told ESPN that Hunt’s familiarity with the team and system made him the first primary option when targeting a new back. Hunt had over 1300 rushing yards in his rookie season with the Chiefs. However, he has failed to surpass 1000 yards since and has not hit 500 yards in a season since 2020.

Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have yet another thing to celebrate. Their 43-35 comeback win against Colorado State last week shattered numerous viewership records for ESPN. Per a press release from the network, the game was the fifth-most watched game ever broadcast on the platform. Furthermore, it is also ESPN‘s most-watched late-night game and most-streamed game of all time. Additionally, it is ESPN and ABC‘s fourth-most watched regular-season game, excluding conference championships, in the last six seasons. The viewership peak was 11.1 million viewers, with the game average being 9.3 million.

However, it’s not all good news. Two-way star Travis Hunter was knocked out of the game after an illegal hit by Colorado State’s Henry Blackburn. Hunter is expected to miss several weeks due to a lacerated liver. However, Sanders has spoken out in defense of Blackburn after the player and his family began receiving death threats. “Henry Blackburn is a good player who played a phenomenal game. He made a tremendous hit on Travis on the sideline. You could call it dirty, you could call it, ‘He was just playing the game of football.’ But whatever it was, it does not constitute that he should be receiving death threats. This is still a young man trying to make it in life. He does not deserve a death threat over a game,” Sanders said.

Sanders And Colorado Prepare For Pac-12 Play

However, for Sanders and the Buffs, the real season is about to begin. While a 3-0 record and #19 ranking in the AP Poll is nice, it’s fair to say that Colorado has had a fairly favorable start to the season. They beat an overhyped TCU squad by three, crushed the ever-hapless Nebraska, and needed an 11-point comeback and double-overtime to beat a Colorado State team projected to finish 7th in the Mountain West. The team’s upcoming slate of games will be a true test of what the squad is capable of.

For Colorado, Pac-12 play begins with a trip to #10 Oregon. The Ducks are projected to finish fourth in the conference and even received a first-place vote in preseason media voting. However, Colorado will be Oregon’s first real test of the season as well after wins over Portland State, Texas Tech, and Hawai’i. After Oregon is a matchup against #5 USC, led by Heisman favorite Caleb Williams. Beyond that, the Buffs have four other (currently) ranked matchups in #22 UCLA, #14 Oregon State, #21 Washington State, and #11 Utah. In short – the next few weeks will be crucial for Sanders to prove that his new-look Colorado is the real deal.

The story surrounding former NFL backup safety Sergio Brown has taken another strange turn. Brown posted a video to his Instagram story, geotagged at the Sydney Opera House. In the video, Brown quotes the animated film Finding Nemo while appearing to be in a bar or a similar setting. The video has gone viral on social media, with many viewers deeming it to be a “manic episode”.

Brown, who retired from the NFL after the 2016 season, has been thrust into the national spotlight in recent days. On September 16, family members reported him and his mother missing. His mother, Myrtle, was later found deceased beside a creek near her house. Her death was subsequently ruled a homicide. Meanwhile, Brown posted a video on September 18 that appeared to show that he was in Mexico City. During that video, he claimed that he had been kidnapped by law enforcement and believed his mother to be on vacation. While Brown claims to be in Mexico, the geotag on his Finding Nemo video shows that Instagram location tags can be faked.

However, the videos from Brown are not the only evidence that has come to light in recent days. Neighbors in Maywood, Illinois claim to have provided law enforcement with video evidence that shows Brown burning his mother’s clothes. While the recency of this footage is unknown, the neighbors also claimed that the 35-year-old Brown had been “acting out of his mind” in recent months.

Brown went undrafted out of Notre Dame in 2010 but was signed as a free agent by the Patriots. He played 94 games in his career, primarily as a backup. As well as the Patriots, he spent time with the Colts, Jags, and Bills. He retired after the 2016 season. He finished his career with 144 tackles. Brown is listed as being 6″2 and weighing 207 lb.
