Lil Yachty Teams Up With Rising Star Lil Dann For Warped Banger “WIPED”

Quick riser Lil Dann is a name to pay attention to in the Atlanta rap scene. The Georgia native has not been around for long, only releasing several singles since 2020. By far, the most popular song he has right now is “Family Freestyle” with Lil Baby (his cousin). It was the second of three releases in 2023 and it has catapulted him to more notoriety. The song has already racked up over 12 million streams on Spotify and for good reason. Today, Lil Dann is looking to ramp things up even more for himself with a new single “WIPED” with a star-studded cast that includes Lil Yachty.

This may be Dann’s biggest get as Lil Boat is at the top of his creative game right now. He has been working with artists of all kinds from a range of genres and popularity levels. Another reason why we feel this is the biggest moment so far in Lil Dann’s career is who is handling the production. Working on Dying, as well as BNYX, are bringing their trademark sound for a futuristic cut.

Flau’jae & NLE Choppa Team Up For Uber-Confident “AMF”

Flau’jae and her LSU Tigers are doing a good job defending their title so far in the March Madness tournament. The three seed has taken out each opponent, (14) Rice and (11) Middle Tennessee State, by double digits. Against the latter program, they wound up pulling away in quarters three and four, thanks in part to Louisiana State’s star guard. She posted 21 points, four rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a pair of blocks. Number four was also efficient, shooting 60% from the field, 50% from three, and 80% at the free throw line.

To help celebrate reaching the Sweet 16 again on Friday, Flau’jae decided to drop a new song “AMF.” However, this is not just a solo single, though. NLE Choppa, a first-time collaborator, joined her in the recording booth for this boastful banger. If you take a look at the lyrics, there could be a subtle shot toward Middle Tennessee State.

I walked in so it’s up, it ain’t my fault / Hella tears in the lobby, it ain’t my fault,” Flau’jae raps. This could be a subtle reference to the star player who fouled out in the third quarter after getting tangled up with Angel Reese. A video went viral where she got really upset walking back to the bench after picking up her fifth and final foul. So much so in fact, that she wound up crying as she had to watch on from the sideline the rest of the way. “AMF” could have been made before that happened, but it is all up for speculation.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “AMF,” by Flau’jae and NLE Choppa? Do you think she can have a stable rap career regardless if she goes to the WNBA, why or why not? Is this one of her better songs as of late, why or why not? Do you think a new project is on the way soon? Mick Jenkins Teams Up With Thelonious For Dark, Jazzy Cut “Yuck Freestyle”

One of the reasons Mick Jenkins is so versatile as an artist is that he fit on top of any production and kill it. While some might think that having a gritty and loud delivery could put you in a box, he makes it work. But that is not to say that the Alabama native cannot dial it back either. It was one of the main reasons why The Patience was such a success. His 2023 album contains some of the strongest rap records of the year such as “Show & Tell,” “Farm to Table,” “Smoke Break-Dance,” and more. In 2024, Mick Jenkins has been prolific with the features lately and he continues that hot streak with “Yuck Freestyle.”

Here, the veteran MC brings his wild trademark cadence to a dark and jazzy beat. The lead artist on this cut is Thelonious. He is making his debut on the HNHH site and unfortunately, there is not too much information on him. However, after doing some digging it appears he hails from Canada. Additionally, Thelonious has been releasing material since 2020.

From 2021 to the first quarter of 2022, he had been putting out tracks with Three Entertainment Group. After that, Thelonious switched over to Unit 01. This is him and Mick’s first-ever collaboration and we are going to need more from them in the future. Be sure to check it out above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Yuck Freestyle,” by Mick Jenkins and Thelonious? Is this one of Mick’s best guest performances lately, why or why not? 21 Lil Harold & BigXthaPlug Are Becoming Stars On “Gin & Juice”

21 Lil Harold & BigXthaPlug have been two of the most entertaining up-and-comers as of late. Both borrow from their respective corners of Southern hip-hop. Lil Harold grew up in Atlanta and is a longtime friend of 21 Savage. Which makes sense, considering their stage names are the same and he utilizes the “P***y” adlib quite often with a slightly different delivery. As for BigX, he hails from Dallas, Texas. The 25-year-old possesses one of the best mic presences in modern-day rap with his deep and husky cadence.

Both also have their fair share of bangers and big-time collaborations. Lil Harold had some background vocals on Savage’s third studio album, american dream, earlier this year. You can find him on “dangerous” and “letter to my brudda.” He also had a fantastic single with JID not too long ago. Furthermore, he will be joining Savage, JID, and Nardo Wick for The American Dream Tour that kicks off in May. BigX had a big 2023 with the release of two projects, THE BIGGEST and AMAR. Those saw him work alongside Offset, Sauce Walka, Finesse2tymes and more.

Now, these two soon-to-be-stars are teaming up for the first time on “Gin & Juice.” However, this one shares no similarities to Snoop Dogg’s classic. The beat on this song slaps hard with the soulful vocal samples that return every now and again. The bass is resonant, and the string sections add a big budget feel to everything. Both rappers deliver sticky flows as well and it all comes together. Be sure to check this one out ASAP.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Gin & Juice,” by 21 Lil Harold and BigXthaPlug? Is this better than “Sundown” with JID, why or why not? What is your favorite element of the song and why? Who had the strongest performance on the track and why? If an album is coming soon, do these last two efforts have you excited? Lil Yachty, Fred Again.., & Overmono Collide On “Stayinit”

Lil Yachty’s imagination and creativity continues to run wild. Everyone knows the fascinating and explorative streak he has been since dropping Let’s Start Here. a little over a year ago. Sure, he has went back to his introductory trap rap style here and there. In fact, some of those reroutes have been fantastic releases. But, what has been really interesting is seeing him try out different instrumentals and genres. Today, Lil Yachty, Fred again.. and Overmono are working together on “Stayinit.”

Fred again.. is a hip-hop adjacent producer that we have covered quite a bit. He also likes to drop sick tracks with tech house and EDM instrumentals. That is where “Stayinit” lives in. The usual structure of a track like this shows up, with fragments of verses and ultra repetitive choruses.

One of Fred’s recent efforts we covered included the increasingly popular “leavemealone” with Baby Keem. This may be another favorite of many as the beat is quite good and perfect for ragers at the club. According to Stereogum, this song was previewed days after Fred again won a GRAMMY. He popped out to a New York show hosted by Overmono, the other producer for this song to preview it. Now, streaming fans can enjoy this song at the leisure.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Stayinit,” by Fred again.., Lil Yachty, and Overmono? Is Yachty the best genre-bending rapping rapper out right now, why or why not? What was your favorite element of the song and why? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Lola Brooke Teams Up Drill Collective 41 For Explosive “Becky”

Lola Brooke and 41 are some of the more exciting faces we have in New York rap and drill today. While they all bring that typical shouty and aggressive flow that you are accustomed to hearing in this kind of music, they sound unique. Lola is coming off a big 2023 as the 30-year-old dropped her debut album Dennis Daughter. It had features from Coi Leray, French Montana, Bryson Tiller, Latto, Yung Miami, and Nija. Brooke has that gritty and tough personality similar to Cardi B and Pop Smoke. She has a deep and rumbling voice that commands your attention at all times. On the drill side of things, 41 arguably has the most momentum right now.

So, what better way to capitalize on all of this success than to work together on a new track. “Becky” marks their first song and it does not disappoint. The “gimmie dat beckyyy” on the Lola Brooke chorus is so infectious and fun. She does very well on the drill beat and we could see her doing more with this subgenre in the future.

Kevin Durant Slides Over Stalley’s “Scar ed Money” Track

Kevin Durant is one of many NBA superstars to express their passion for music, especially hip-hop. We have seen plenty of examples in the past and present and some are still going strong today. Shaq and Damian Lillard are the two most prominent names producing some interesting material. A couple of days ago TMZ recovered a sneak peek of Kevin Durant and Massillon, Ohio rapper, Stalley, laying down some verses. Well, the day has arrived as this first-time duo has just dropped their song “Scared Money.” It is a very low-key vibe with soft boom-baps and an almost jazz-like instrumental.

Both sound ultra-buttery smooth, especially Kevin Durant. Again, he loves music, but he does not have much experience on the mic. He actually has another feature that was released way back in 2012 with Chevy Woods and Privaledge. That was called “Some Winners.” For Stalley, “Scared Money” is also the title track of his new EP. The veteran Midwest MC put three songs it, with “Farming” being the lead single.

Additionally, this tape serves as a precursor to Stalley’s full-length album. It will be called Peerless and it is expected to see a March release date. TMZ says this collaboration came to be because KD was wanting to rap on something and he reached out to Stalley for the opportunity. Travonne Edwards, a mutual friend, helped create the beat that you can hear above. Fans are also loving the record online and for good reason.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “Scared Money,” by Stalley and Kevin Durant? Should he Durant drop a full project at some point, why or why not? Is he the best current NBA rapper? Is this the strongest track from Stalley’s new EP Scared Money? Does this have you excited for his forthcoming album? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Lil Wayne Snaps On New Yeat Track “Lyfestyle”

Yeat has been teasing a new project for some time and now it is finally here. 2093 has 22 tracks with features from Future and Lil Wayne. This follows up his 2023 record AfterLyfe. After checking out the record, we had to talk about the Yeat and Lil Wayne collaboration, “Lyfestyle.”

This is one of the more unexpected collaborations as of late as both of their respective sounds are so different. Yeat operates in a more modern, futuristic soundscape. Weezy on the other hand like to rap over more traditional instrumentals. But, this duo pleasantly goes over much better than it does on paper.

Listen To “Lyfestyle” By Yeat & Lil Wayne

The instrumental is heavy on the drums and is fairly minimal. There is not really any booming bass, so it allows you to really focus on the lyrical content. It is also very dark and atmospheric, something we have come to expect. Yeat is not one to pen double entendres, but he does a good job on the refrain. However, Wayne simply steals the show. His rapid-fire flows are nothing new but he rips the beat to shreds with some terrific rhymes.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “Lyfestyle,” by Yeat and Lil Wayne? Should these two collaborate more often after hearing this? Is this the best song from 2093 why or why not? Where does this rank amongst Wayne’s features over the past couple of years? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Kanye West, Freddie Gibbs, & The Alchemist Preview Is Sending Fans “To Space”

VULTURES 1 has a ton of features and big-name producers across its 16-song tracklist. Kanye West has always been viewed as a master curator. He knows the perfect artist for every track and how to complement them even further with the beat. However, on his newest LP with Ty Dolla $ign, it has not been as praised nearly as much. Kanye’s fans are stanning it, but there is a huge crowd that is not jiving with it. The lyrical content is perhaps one of the biggest gripes people have with the record, as well as some of the mixing. “BACK TO ME” is seen as a highlight for some, mainly due to the Freddie Gibbs feature. The production on the track is fairly lackluster. But, what if Kanye West, Freddie Gibbs, and The Alchemist were all on the track instead?

Well, according to HipHopDX, that exists in the music universe. There has been a snippet that is continuing to make the rounds on X. It only lasts for about nine seconds. However, in just that short time frame, this Ye and Gibbs collab sounds much more refined.

Fans Are Dying For Kanye, Freddie, & The Alchemist To Drop This

It has a 90s East Coast feel to it with the dusty and twinkling piano keys. This would Kanye and The Alchemist’s first song together if it does drop. Hopefully, there is chance this all part of one of the next two VULTURES that are due in the next two months. Fans are certainly enjoying it. One person says, “This Ye, Freddie Gibbs and Alchemist snippet is sending me to space.” Someone else comments, “This would’ve made vultures 20x better lol.”

What are your thoughts on this Kanye West, Freddie Gibbs, and The Alchemist teaser? Do you think this would be a better track than “BACK TO ME?” What is your current on opinion on VULTURES 1 and why?
