Fans Debate Drake’s “Back To Back” Performance Following Kendrick Lamar’s “The Pop Out” Concert

Drake’s iconic performance at OVO Fest in 2015, when he performed his Meek Mill diss track, “Back to Back,” is being reconsidered by fans on social media after his latest rival, Kendrick Lamar, hosted The Pop Out – Ken & Friends in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. When Complex shared a clip of the set on X (formerly Twitter), Friday night, fans were harsher on the show after Lamar’s impressive concert.

“To think about it, this was the response to divert from the ghost writer allegations…. He just distracted yall,” one user wrote. Another added: “If Kendrick put up pics of Drake behind him at Ken & Friends y’all would call him obsessed.” One more fan wrote: “We really let this Canadian dude disrespect a sreet n***a from Philadelphia. This how I know Kendrick and LA is different.”

Funkmaster Flex Wants To Know The Purpose Of Kendrick Lamar & Drake’s Feud

Funkmaster Flex wants to know what the point was of Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s beef and has taken to X (formerly Twitter) with some ideas. Speaking on the feud after Lamar hosted a massive concert in his hometown of Los Angeles, Flex theorized the beef could’ve been for marketing or pure competition. “I HAVE DRAKE / KENDRICK QUESTION?,” he wrote. “WAS IT A LYRICAL COMPETITION? OR A MARKETING / CAREER RELAUNCH? I NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHAT ARE THE RULES IN A LYRICAL BATTLE?”

Many of Lamar’s fans came to his defense in the replies to the post. One user wrote: “Drake lost regardless of what you call it lmaooo.. but what makes you say Career relaunch? Did he retire & i missed it?” Another added: “Bro acting like Kendrick career was dead or dying…it would make sense if this was Rick Ross.” Ross, as well as Metro Boomin, The Weeknd, and more artists, have also been feuding with Drake.

Latto Shades Ice Spice With “Think U The Sh*t” Cake

It’s no secret that Ice Spice and Latto don’t get along, and based on one of the Georgia-born rapper’s latest posts, their feud doesn’t appear to be dying down anytime soon. Earlier today, Latto took to Twitter/X with what seems like a direct jab at her fellow femcee. She shared a photo of a poop-themed cake congratulating her for headlining this year’s Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash in Atlanta. The shade was thrown in her caption. “Think I’m the sh*t, b*tch ?????” it reads.

Obviously, this is a reference to Ice Spice’s track “Think U The Sh*t (Fart),” which many speculated to contain bars aimed at Latto. “I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up/ She all on the floor, told her get up,” she raps on the song, seemingly referencing Latto’s hit “Put It On Da Floor.”

Latto Reignites Ice Spice Feud With Direct Twitter Jab

Latto later clapped back with “Sunday Service,” which some thought was an Ice Spice diss track, prompting the Bronx MC to fire even more shots on “Gimmie A Light.” It’s unclear what led to this latest post, though it’s apparent that she’s not trying to dodge any smoke. At the time of writing, Ice Spice has yet to respond. She’s currently gearing up for her new album Y2K!, however, which is scheduled to drop on July 26 of this year. It’s unconfirmed whether or not she plans to shade anyone on the LP, though she’ll surely have plenty of opportunities.

As for Latto, she’s been teasing an upcoming track since early this month, but it seems to be more of a love song than a diss track. A release date for that has yet to be announced. What do you think of Latto seemingly shading Ice Spice with her latest Twitter post? Do you think Ice Spice will respond? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

50 Cent Refutes Claim That He’s Business Rivals With Tyler Perry

50 Cent has built a media empire over the last two decades. He may not be topping the charts anymore as a rapper, but his production companies have been wildly successful. He recently sold a documentary about his least-favorite mogul, Diddy, to Netflix. The G-Unit founder is also launching G-Unit film and TV studios, which will become the second-largest black-owned studio in the world. The Root suggested that 50 might be edging in on Tyler Perry’s territory, but the rapper was quick to set the record straight.

The Root posted the headline “50 Cent Gearing Up To Be A Tyler Perry Rival?” on June 17. 50 Cent then responded to the headline on Instagram. “I’m doing great but you’re getting it f*cked up,” he wrote in the caption. “If you think me and Tyler will be at odds at any point.” The rapper revealed that the opposite is actually true. Tyler Perry, the brain behind dozens of successful films, is actually helping 50 Cent to get his studio off the ground. “He’s helping me, already going out of his way to aid my progress,” he stated. “So in the nicest way, cut the sh*t.”

50 Cent Revealed That He’s Working Alongside Perry

50 Cent has no problem beefing with people. He’s been doing it since before he got famous. His first big song was literally about robbing rappers who were richer than him. It’s worth noting, because if he goes out of his way to state there’s no beef, then it’s pretty convincing. Those who have been keeping up with 50’s business moves won’t be surprised by the fact that he’s working with Perry. The rapper mentioned Tyler Perry during a recent Power screening in New York.

50 claimed that Perry had become an invaluable source for both him and G-Unit Films. “So I talked to Tyler on my way here,” he explained to the audience. “Tyler is no joke. He’ll f*ck you up if you think he Madea.” 50 Cent took a surprisingly humble approach when discussing the filmmaker. “He don’t talk to me like that,” he asserted. “I don’t know if he’s tougher when I’m he’s talking to me, but it just feels like I can learn some things from him.”

In one since-deleted post, Meek wrote: “Soulja if you say you’re gonna smoke somebody and they see you and actually smoke you it’s self defence… y’all losing touch if reality for some likes and clout insane.” Soulja fired back simply: “Didn’t Diddy f*ck u in the ass?” Soulja was referencing rumors stemming from producer Lil Rod’s lawsuit against the Bad Boy mogul, in which he claims Diddy once bragged about having a relationship with a rapper from Philadelphia. It’s one of several lawsuits Diddy is facing with allegations of sexual misconduct. While he’s denied all of the claims, he did apologize for an incident involving Cassie featured in a video CNN published, last month.

Kendrick Lamar is on pace for the most successful streaming year of his career according to a new report from RapTV. Following his viral feud with Drake, which sparked the release of several popular diss songs including “Not Like Us” and “Euphoria,” Lamar could pass over 4 billion streams for the year.

When RapTV shared the news on Instagram, plenty of Drake’s fans took to the comments section with explanations. “I hate the people who started listening him after disses and act like they’ve been listening for years,” one fan wrote. Another added: “Drake single handedly revived this man’s career, as the biggest kendrick fan I love Drake for reviving his career and giving him his first #1 hit.” One more argued: “‘Where the drake fans at’ Drake literally gave him this boost. Cardi B says she’ll never change the way she talks after a fan on X (formerly Twitter) asked whether criticism of her accent is racist. The comments come after BIA joked that Cardi speaks like she’s in the “second grade” during her new song, “Sue Meee?”

The conversation on X began when one user wrote: “At what point does making fun of Cardi B’s speech patterns become racist?” Cardi retweeted the post while adding: “Awwwww thanks for defending me [pleading face emoji]. Cardi confirmed she was working on a response to the song when fans called on her to get active on X. “I’m hopping in the booth after I go to the gym, do this Zoom and get my pedi… GET OFF YOUR BREAK AND MAKE ME A CHEESEBURGER,” she replied to one user.

She began by revealing that she spoke with BIA and the conversation started “very nasty” and “very aggressive.” “I was coming at her and she was coming at me,” Cardi said, before showing that she recorded the conversation. “Then I called her back because I’m so appalled at the fact that she thinks that I’m copying her or that I’m stealing from her because there’s nothing that she do that I like.
