According to a report from Atlanta CBS affiliate WSB-TV, YSL co-defendant Lil Rod aka Rodalius Ryan’s lawyer, Angela D’Williams, alleges that Ryan was injured following an assault by a Fulton County Sheriff’s deputy.

Speaking to WSB-TV on Monday (January 23), Ryan’s attorney alleges that Deputy Kandakai Morris punched her client in the head, dropping him to the sidewalk while in transport to his court hearing at the Fulton County Courthouse.

The Sheriff’s Office claims that Lil Rod “has been an ongoing problem” and accused him of spitting in the patrol car. Morris warned Ryan that he’d have to clean the patrol car for spitting in it, and said that Ryan told him in response, “I’m not cleaning up sh*t.” Morris claims that Ryan ignored his instructions to exit the vehicle and when he tried to physically take him out of the patrol car, Ryan stiffened up and laid in the backseat. Morris said that he grabbed Ryan’s ankle to pull him out and Ryan started kicking him. Morris then allegedly pulled Ryan out of the seat and onto the ground.

D’Williams disputed Morris’ claims and added that she plans to file a formal complaint against the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.

Ryan is serving life in prison for a murder he committed in 2019 while in the YSL RICO indictment, he was charged with one count of conspiracy to violate the RICO Act. Ryan was also charged with unauthorized possession of a prohibited item by an inmate after his involvement in the alleged courtroom drug deal with Young Thug and another co-defendant. In addition, Ryan is facing charges of misdemeanor simple assault and obstruction of police over the incident with Deputy Morris.

Several reports have confirmed that NBA Young Boy associate NBA Lil Pap, aka OTS Lil Pap aka Deandre Fields has accepted a plea deal from prosecutors in the Gee Money murder and was handed down a five year prison sentence for an accessory after the fact to murder charge.

The light sentence is due to fact that that the charge accepted in the plea agreement is a non-violent offense. Fields is also serving a three-year sentence for a federal weapons charge he received while awaiting trial.

According to The Advocate, Fields said at his sentencing, “I’m going to agree to the deal, but I want to say for the record that I’m 100% innocent.” Judge Michael McDonald replied, “Well, if you’re not guilty, you’re not guilty.” Fields replied, “It’s in my best interest to accept the plea.”

NBA Lil Pap, 26, is accused of shooting Gee Money aka Garrett Burton, outside of Burton’s music studio in Baton Rouge in September 2017. Fields was arrested in 2019 for the murder of Burton, and his arrest warrant detailed what led to the beef between Burton and NBA YoungBoy.

Seven People Shot Dead In Another California Mass Shooting

Screen Shot 2023 01 24 at 11.23.00 AM

As the country still reels from the mass shooting in SoCal’s Monterey Park tragedy, where 11 people were killed and at least ten others were wounded by a single shooter, another mass shooting has occurred in the Golden State; this time in the Northern CA’s coastal city of Half Moon Bay, where seven people were fatally shot. It has also been reported that all of the victims in the shooting were Chinese American farm workers.

The suspect, 67-year-old Zhao Chunli, was arrested after driving to a police station.

California has been the epicenter for the country’s latest mass shootings, that have now climbed to 39 in the first 24 days of 2023. California Governor Gavin Newsom tweeted that he was at a hospital meeting with victims of the earlier mass shooting when he was pulled away to be briefed about the second attack.

Four of the shooting victims of the shooting attack were discovered at a mushroom farm while the other three were later found at a nearby trucking business. An eighth victim is being treated in hospital and is in a critical condition.

This kind of shooting is horrific. It’s a tragedy we hear about far too often, but today it’s hit home here in San Mateo County,” the San Mateo County Sheriff’s office said in a statement. San Mateo County Board of Supervisors President Dave Pine told the Associated Press that the shootings were committed by a “disgruntled worker”.

“We are sickened by today’s tragedy in Half Moon Bay,” Mr Pine said in a statement. “There are simply too many guns in this country and there has to be a change.”

Just hours after the attack, seven were injured and one person was killed in a shooting in Oakland, about 40 miles northeast of Half Moon Bay.

Screen Shot 2023 01 23 at 11.29.27 PM

According to recent reports, Team Roc’s attorneys have dropped their lawsuit against the Mississippi State Penitentiary, but they vow to revisit their concerns if the conditions go downhill again.

The Parchman Farm has undergone several renovations since the lawsuit was filed by Team Roc, but the correctional facility is still open even after several fatal stabbings and unsanitary living conditions at the apex of the COVID-19 pandemic.

NBC has reported that the Parchman Farm has received new stainless steel showers, toilets and sinks after the previous restrooms were crumbling and littered with rat feces. MSP also now boasts new sports facilities including basketball, flag football and boxing and upgraded heating and air conditioning ventilation systems.

The lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice, which means that the lawsuit can be refiled at any time. Team Roc recently visited the MSP with a film crew and the footage is scheduled to be turned over to the Justice Department for further review.

As previously reported, a mass shooting unfolded in Monterey Park, California where ten people were killed and countless others injured by a lone gunman at the Star Dance Studio during a Lunar New Year celebration. Now, it’s being reported that the gunman is now dead.

Huu Can Tran, 72, was identified as as the shooter and was confirmed to be deceased from a self inflicted gunshot wound. Police found the gunman’s body in a white van that was parked in the city of Torrance, a half hour from Monterey Park.

The Monterey Park tragedy is the 33rd mass shooting in the country this year, prompting lawmakers to create new legislation to curb this consistent gun violence.

[WATCH] YSL Co-Founder Mondo Calls Out Gunna Over RICO Plea Deal

Screen Shot 2023 01 23 at 4.39.25 PM

On the most recent episode of Ugly Money Podcast with Murphy Lee, Youg Slime Life co-founder Mondo called out his former partner Gunna for supposedly snitching as a part of the plea deal in the YSL RICO case.

When asked what comes to mind when he hears certain words with Gunna’s name being mentioned, Mondo replied, “I’m talking personally, on everything I love, I’m talking I know what’s going. Boy, you ain’t supposed to do that, my brother. Even if I did be talking to nobody, everybody who got common sense, everybody who’s been in the streets know, you do not, boy, you don’t do no shit like that my brother.”

He went on to say, “I always said, bruh, he was a good genuine n-gga … But certain shit makes you do certain shit … You can’t say, ‘Oh, they tricked me,’ or ‘Oh, I ain’t talked,’ or ‘I don’t know what’s going on.’ Come on, my brother. It’s certain shit you just don’t do. And hey boy, you crossed the line, my brother. You did that.”

When Murph asked if he was calling Gunna a snitch, he responded, “Everybody got the same ears I got? Unless you’re deaf or you’re blind. You took a plea saying you’re the main artist brother, you know this a gang and on top of that you got caught with something and it wasn’t yours, so who else was it? Who doing shit like that? Who doing that?”

Gunna pleaded guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge this past December and was immediately released from jail after being handed down a five-year sentence with one year time served in prison. The rest of his sentence will be served in the form of 500 hours of community service.

Gunna wasn’t the only YSL member to accept a plea deal, with Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk (Quantavious Grier), Slimelife Shawty (Winnie Lee), Lil Duke (Martinez Arnold) and YSL co-founder Walter Murphy all taking plea deals to avoid stiff jail time.

Young Dolph Murder Suspect Released From Jail, Co-Defendants Face New Charges

Young Dolph

According to local news reports, the suspect who was accused of the shooting death of Memphis rap legend Young Dolph walked out of a Texas jail on bond on Christmas Eve.

Shundale Barnett walked out of Tarrant County Jail on bond after being charged as an accessory after the fact to first-degree murder on January 12 when he was arrested with the primary suspect Justin Johnson. U.S Marshal Tyreece Miller said that Barnett was charged as an accessory because authorities feel like Barnett assisted Johnson in evading apprehension during a week-long search.

Justin Johnson was transported to the Knox County Indiana Jail and booked on violation of federal supervised release before being transferred to Memphis’ Shelby County Jail. Shundale Barnett was held at the Clay County Jail in Indiana and was also expected to be transferred to Shelby County.

Barnett was released from Indiana’s Clay County Jail on January 21, 2022, but Shelby County authorities issued a warrant for his arrest in February.

“On January 11, Mr. Shundale Barnett was brought to the Clay County Jail by the Indiana State Police from an arrest on I-70,” Clay County Sheriff Paul Harden explained. “He was booked in the Clay County Jail on an outstanding warrant from Shelby County, Tennessee.”

“We contacted Shelby County and held him on their warrant,” he continued. “And we were contacted on January 21 and they told us that they were no longer wanting to come and pick up Mr. Barnett and that we were to release him at that time.”

In April 2022, a new arrest warrant had been issued for Shundale Barnett on charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder , but it is still unconfirmed whether or not his incarceration in Texas was related to Dolph’s murder.

Now, Johnson and three other men remain in custody in Memphis with charges related to the slain rapper’s death.

On January 13, Dolph’s estate, his record label Paper Route Empire and the Trap Music Museum launched the Dolphland Pop-Up Museum Tour in New York City.

The tour is scheduled to travel through Atlanta, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., among other cities.
