Nicki Minaj is getting the Barbz ready for Pink Friday 2 and she just announced that she will be going on tour. After pushing several singles this year, the Queens rapper released the single “Last Time I Saw You,” and just celebrated the single going number one on iTunes in 37 different countries.

Nicki announced on social media:

“Giving a big virtual hug to all these countries,” Nicki Minaj wrote on Twitter. “Omg can’t wait to see you guys on TOUR next year. #LastTimeISawYou seems like it was decades ago~ and seeing some of you for the first time ever.” Not only that, but this suggests that the Trinidadian MC is actually hitting multiple countries on her trek. Nothing’s official yet, but it’s very possible that Pink Friday 2 will take her all over the world.

With “Last Time I Saw You,” Nicki Minaj feels all the more grateful for this success, and shared some kind words with fans. “I can’t thank you enough for your love and continued support,” the 40-year-old shared. “I have not been excited about the release of a song to this extent for maybe, I don’t know, I can’t even tell you, I don’t even remember when!”

She continued, “I hope that it’s therapeutic for you. I hope that even after, it makes you reflect. If you are reflecting on a time, or a person that you wish you could go back in time and have a do over etc… I hope that you are still able to smile at the end of the song by realizing that you now have a chance to treat the people that you love, that are still in your life the way that expresses to them what they mean to you. In the meantime, please enjoy the song as much as I have enjoyed creating it. Just know that Pink Friday 2 is going to be the best album that’s been released in years!!! LOVE YOU.”

[WATCH] Jacksonville Shooter Wanted Eminem And Machine Gun Kelly Killed

Ryan Christopher Palmeter

Ryan Christopher Palmeter, the racist thug who shot and killed three black people at a Dollar General in Jacksonville last Saturday, identified in his writings a slew of other potential targets that included rappers Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly.

In two disturbing passages from writings that Rolling Stone reviewed, Palmeter who turned the gun on himself after killing Angela Michelle Carr, 52; Anolt Joseph “AJ” Laguerre Jr., 19; and Jerrald Gallion, 29, listed both rappers by name.

“Eminem (aka Marshall Mathers, aka Slim Shady aka Ken Keniff, aka the white guy from D12): Stared the abyss (being ni–dly) and the abyss stared back (becoming a ni—er),” he wrote. “Walks the edge of ni–er lover and honourary ni–er. Fell off not because his new stuff sucked but because the lyrics were gay annoying liberal shit,” he wrote.

The killer’s writings shed light on his reasoning behind the senseless murders and revealed he hoped for a race war. He praised fellow killers, including the Oklahoma City bomber, the Norwegian summer camp killer, and the Virginia Tech school shooter for committing mass murder. He looked down on the extremist group the Boogaloo Boys as “larpers” — people who role-play at spreading hate.

Palmeter also turned his anger to Machine Gun Kelly suggesting he may have been close enough to the rapper to have taken a shot. “Colson Baker (aka Machine Gun Kelly): Honorable ni–er. To be killed on sight like Eminem because I didn’t get a shot at him up in Ohio.”

Last Saturday, Palmeter entered a Jacksonville Dollar General dressed in a tactical vest armed with a handgun and an AR-15 rifle, which had swastika markings on it, officials said.

Nicki Minaj Says Her New Single “Last Time I Saw You” Highlights Her Growth

mb ms ww nmd radio ep185 nicki minaj social 1x1 logo

Nicki Minaj visited Zane Lowe at Apple Music 1 and detailed her latest single, “Last Time I Saw You.” Speaking on the release, Minaj acknowledges that the single isn’t what she would typically release.

I knew for the album, of course, I would have to discuss certain things or whatever. I just didn’t intend on it being a single. A lot of times people forget that I do a lot of features, and so these are not my actual songs. These are not songs from my album. And so sometimes people forget the kind of music that I’m able to create because it’s been a long time since they heard an album, and most of the times they get those kind of cuts on the album.

This time when I heard the beat, the first thing I did was I wrote the hook. And when I wrote the hook, to me, it felt it was… The vibe of it was really talking about a loss, a real loss you know. But to not make the song feel only directed at one kind of loss. When I wrote the singing verse, I tried to expand it and think even about relationships. And then by the time I got to the rap, it was like I had included all relationships that I had lost before, because I mentioned even best friends and stuff like that.

I just wanted the next song that I put out, Zane, to represent my growth, but not just as an artist, but as a human being. I’ve experienced so many things that I hadn’t experienced five years ago, and that’s just the truth.

Accompanied by a feel-good, VHS-inspired video, the sizzling single, which samples Amerie’s seminal 2002 hit “Why Don’t We Fall In Love” comes on the heels of two other slow-burning stunners this year in “Let’s Talk About It” and “Words of Affirmation.”

Co-written by Queen and NBA YoungBoy“No Fake Love” kicks off with a warning: “You betta be careful,” the R&B songstress belts out before rumbling beats drop in. Over glimmering production, she continues to make her case. “I got the power to make ‘em wait for me,” she declares on the commanding hook. When YoungBoy slips in, he’s just as self-possessed—if not a little on guard. “I ain’t watchu like, then coach me,” he lets loose in his nimble flow. “I love you, but this I don’t need.” As the song slides back into the hypnotic hook, Queen gets the final word, unleashing a powerful mantra: “I’m a force by myself; every time, IMMA bet on me.”

Today In Hip Hop History: Fat Joe’s Third LP ‘Don Cartagena’ Turns 25 Years Old!

On this date in 1998, Terror Squad general Fat Joe released his third full length album Don Cartagena on the Atlantic/Big Beat/Terror Squad imprint.

On his first “official” release of Terror Squad as a crew and label, Fat Joe garnered the support from his then TS crew Armageddon, Triple Seis, Cuban Link and new recruit standout Big Punisher to pull together a superstar-laden album that would catapult TS to an equal level of success. With Pun’s almost overnight stardom from the smash single “Still Not A Player”, it gave Joe the leeway to bring in the rest of the crew sans Remy Ma, who was in Bedford Hill Correctional Facility. Singles such as “Bet Ya Man Can’t (Triz)” and “The Hidden Hand” left fans looking for that Terror Squad album with the original cast members, but internal strife only allowed those tracks to bring those thoughts into fruition. The real album feature was of course the Ski-produced “John Blaze”, which featured Nas, Jadakiss, Raekwon and Pun, is still considered one of the greatest joint tracks ever laid.

The album’s commercial success reflected the response from the fans, being Joe’s first top ten Billboard 200 release, grabbing a A- from EW and selling 100,000 in its first week was right in line of the thinking of The Don. Within a month, Don Cartagena was certified gold by the RIAA.

Salute to Joe, Pun(RIP), the entire original Terror Squad, Just Blaze, Dame Grease, Preemo and everyone else involved in the making of this Hip Hop classic!
