STARZ Unveils Trailer for Third Season of ‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’

STARZ has unveiled the official trailer, character art, and key art for the upcoming third season of Power Book III: Raising Kanan. This much-anticipated season is set to return on December 1, continuing the origin story of the beloved character Kanan Stark, originally portrayed by 50 Cent in the flagship series.

The trailer shows the Thomas family in turmoil after a coordinated mob attack on Raquel, Marvin, and Lou-Lou. Raquel is looking to make a fresh start, but Kanan remains skeptical, unable to trust her proclamation of leaving the criminal life behind. The season is poised to dive into themes of truth, betrayal, and family ties.

The trailer also teases the return of Italian mob boss Stefano, portrayed by Tony Danza, and introduces new adversaries “Snaps” and “Pop,” played by Wendell Pierce and Erika Woods.

In season three, Kanan, played by MeKai Curtis, grapples with questions of morality, identity, and the gray areas between right and wrong. The entire Thomas family is embroiled in an existential crisis that challenges their very sense of self.

The series features an ensemble cast, including Patina Miller, Omar Epps, London Brown, Malcolm Mays, Hailey Kilgore, Joey Bada$$, and others. Season three of Power Book III: Raising Kanan promises to deliver more gripping drama and character development.

Sascha Penn serves as showrunner and executive producer for the season. The Power Universe franchise is executive produced by Courtney A. Kemp, 50 Cent, Mark Canton, and others. Lionsgate Television produces the series for STARZ.

New episodes of Power Book III: Raising Kanan will be available weekly on Fridays at midnight ET on the STARZ app, STARZ streaming, and on-demand platforms, with linear broadcasts on STARZ at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada.

Add Ray J to the list of people who would take dinner with JAY-Z over $500,000. Hitting Instagram, with his daughter in the back of his car, Ray J expressed that “relationships are way more valuable than money.”

Much like Rick Ross, CyHi The Prynce is also going against JAY-Z’s advice of taking the $500K instead of a meeting with him. Why? Well, to him, $500K isn’t “real money” and he made more after meeting with JAY-Z.

“I’m taking the meeting with @sc aka Jay z,” CyHi typed. “I don’t care what y’all say 500k aint no real money and most people who would take it Has never made any real paper!!!! I’ve made more than that annually the last 13 years of my career and that was after I met with Jay Z.”

CyHi also added that he met Jay-Z with only $1500 to his name and walked away with a cosign for Kanye West to sign him, and a publishing and touring deal.

AZ Releases New Single “This Is Why”, Announces New Album ‘Truth Be Told’

Throughout his distinguished and influential career, AZ has been nominated for Grammy’s, and won one for his contribution “Full Circle,” to The Firm reuniting track from Nas’ Kings Disease, which won the Grammy for Best Rap Album of 2020, sold millions of albums, created hit singles and lent his velvety voice, and street poetry to some of Hip-Hop’s most timeless music.

It had been a decade since AZ graced fans with an album, but his long-teased sequel, Doe Or Die II, became one of 2021’s undeniable success stories. Featuring appearances and production from Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, T-Pain, The Alchemist, Conway The Machine, Dave East, Pete Rock, Statik Selektah, Idris Elba, Bink, Buckwild, Kaygee, Heatmakerz, Rockwilder, and Baby Paul, Doe Or Die II was a mainstay at the top of the DSP charts upon its release.

Since the release of Doe Or Die II, AZ has appeared on Westside Gunn’s HWH8 B-Side (“99 Avirex” which also featured Stove God Cooks, Rick Ross’ Richer Than I Ever Been Deluxe album (“Vacheron”), Statik Selektah’s Round Trip Album “(Historic” with Ransom), and most recently on Tony Touch’s The Def Tape Soundtrack (“Rampage 2.0”) for Def Jam’s Mixtape Documentary.

Now, AZ is back with a new single. “This Is Why,” and he has also announced that he will release his new album, Truth Be Told, on 12-1-23. AZ continues to refine and update his style with Truth Be Told, and the forthcoming album will also feature collaborations with Fat Joe and Pharoahe Monch.

Snoop Dogg Warns Latto To Avoid Beef: ‘You Got To Be A Smarter Business Woman’

Rappers Snoop Dog and Latto linked for their Musicians on Musicians cover shoot at the United Recording studios in Hollywood and Snoop offered valuable advice to Latto, as she embarks on stardom. He shared that this era of women are the first era to dominate music.

“What happened to your favorite rappers in the Nineties?,” Snoop asked. “Where they at? Most of them gone. I’m probably the only one that’s still around. It’s because of the things that they did or the business opportunities that they didn’t capitalize on. So you got to be a smarter businesswoman and say, ‘OK, the women are winning right now in the music industry.’ This is a first, for the women to be [in] the foreground.” However, he warned a message about potential rivalries. He warned, “You guys have to understand that here’s where the bullsh*t comes in. They going to make y’all fight each other. That’s what they made us do. They didn’t want us to join hands and say, ‘Hey, East Coast, West Coast, down South. I love your music.’ You from the South. I love your sht. Why I got to hate you from down there? That’s what they’ll put into y’all Kool-Aid.”

Latto responded with, “And we fall for the trap.” She seemed to agree with the divisive cycle in the industry. “But somebody got to be sharp enough to say, ‘You know what? It’s a business…” Snoop continued.

Tinder Partners With Coi Leray To Unveil New Matchmaking Feature

Hosting a dating life debrief with friends is a time honored tradition, so much so that over 75% of surveyed singles said they discuss their dating life with friends multiple times a month.¹ To assist today’s singles and their dating deliberators in deeming if someone is worthy of a Like, Tinder, the world’s most popular dating app for meeting new people, is launching Tinder Matchmaker^TM. The new feature lets friends and family asynchronously access Tinder to recommend profiles for a user.

The feature makes modern dating a team sport by essentially integrating the “friend test” into Tinder. Users can now invite others, whether they have a Tinder profile or not, to view and suggest potential matches. It gives Tinder users the added intel of seeing who their friends Like for them when considering a potential match but, just like in real life, the user ultimately decides who they want to send a Like to.

“For years, singles have asked their friends to help find their next match on Tinder, and now we’re making that so easy with Tinder Matchmaker,” says Melissa Hobley, Chief Marketing Officer at Tinder. “Tinder Matchmaker brings your circle of trust into your dating journey and helps you see the possibilities you might be overlooking from the perspective of those closest to you.”

To bring users and their personal matchmakers up to speed on this new digital dating dynamic, Tinder has partnered with rapper Coi Leray, who knows that modern dating is complicated – for you and the crew – because bestie’s latest match might be around for a while. As such, she’s been crowned the Matchmaking Monarch of Tinder Court, where she illustrates the power of the “friend test” in newly released digital content.

“Handing your phone over to the friend group was the original vibe check. Obviously you want your friends to like whoever you’re crushing on, and Tinder Matchmaker is a fun way to get the bestie seal of approval even before the match.” says Coi Leray.

Here’s How Tinder Matchmaker Works:

A Tinder Matchmaker session can be started directly from a profile card, or within app settings. Users can share their unique link with up to 15 friends in a 24 hour period.
After following the link, the matchmaker can either log in to Tinder or continue as a guest (after completing an age verification prompt and agreeing to Tinder’s terms as outlined).
Matchmakers have 24 hours to play cupid before the session expires, where they can recommend profiles for the Tinder user but won’t be able to chat or send messages on their behalf.
Once the session expires, Tinder users will have the opportunity to review the profiles their matchmakers’ Like for them. Profiles that received a Like from a matchmaker will be marked as a “recommendation” (profiles sent a Nope won’t change).
The Tinder user still makes the final call on who to Like – but now knows who their friends are rooting for.

Tinder Matchmaker is available now in the United States, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, and Vietnam, and will be rolling out to Tinder users globally in the coming months.
