Suge Knight Says 2Pac’s Voice Next to Snoop’s on Drake’s Diss Track Isn’t a ‘Good Look’

Suge Knight isn't a fan of Drake's "Taylor Made Freestyle" diss to Kendrick Lamar. Not because it attacked Lamar, but because it put 2Pac and Snoop's voices together on the song.

Suge Knight doesn’t like Drake’s “Taylor Made Freestyle” diss to Kendrick Lamar. Not because it attacked Lamar, but because it put 2Pac and Snoop’s voices together on the song.

Speaking on his Collect Call with Suge Knight podcast from Breakbeat Media, Suge said, “Putting him on a song and dissing Kendrick for everybody entertainment–that ain’t how it go.”

He added, “Then putting him on a song with Snoop, who was a part of his downfall and exit, ain’t ever a good look. Pac was a king on that chessboard. He never was a pawn, so he can’t make him be a pawn now.”

Since Kendrick Lamar has not responded to “Push Ups,” Drake has gone back to back. Hitting Instagram, The 6ix God dropped off the “Taylor Made Freestyle.”

Upon pressing play, you will hear something you wouldn’t expect: Tupac’s voice. The single opens with an AI Tupac verse requesting KDot stand up for the West Coast. It is followed by an AI Snoop Dogg asking for the same.

AI Tupac raps:
Fuck this Canadian lightskin, Dot
We need an undebated West Coast victory, man
Call him a bitch for me
Talk about him liking young girls, that’s a gift from me
Heard it on the Budden Podcast, it’s gotta be true
They told me the spirit of Makaveli is alive
In the nigga under five-foot five, so it’s gotta be you

AI Snoop added:
‘Cause right now it’s looking like you writing out the game plan on how to lose
How to bark up the wrong tree and then get your head popped in a crowded room
World is watching this chess game, but are you out of moves?

After that, Drake pops in for his own slick talk:
The first one really only took me an hour or two
The next one is really ’bout to bring out the coward in you
But now we gotta wait a fucking week ’cause Taylor Swift is your new Top
And if you ’bout to drop, she gotta approve

Since “Like That,” your tone changed a little, you not as enthused
How are you not in the booth? It feel like you kinda removed
You tryna let this shit die down, nah, nah, nah
Not this time, nigga, you followin’ through

He ends the song with a message, “I know you’re in that NY apartment, you struggling right now I know it.”

You can hear it below.

Snoop Dogg has offered his response to his voice being used in Drake’s diss song to Kendrick Lamar.

Ye has confirmed that he punched someone for assaulting Bianca Censori. During his visit to Justin LaBoy’s The Download, Ye confirmed the story, stating it happened at The Chateau Marmont.

“My wife is walking to the bathroom at the Chaeteau and then this guy…just grabbed my wife,” Ye said. “I didn’t see it directly and she is explaining to em what happened. So I walked over and found him.”

Ye stated he asked for security to remove the guy before asking him to leave himself. Then the incident escalated, “He’s like ‘Oh, it’s okay, it’s okay.’ It’s like, no, it’s not okay. Then he saw it wasn’t okay. Had to go to bed early. Tucked this n—a in.”

Confirming he punched the guy, Ye doubled down, “He had to go to bed early.”

This follows a report that Ye is the subject of an investigation by the LAPD. According to TMZ, the Vultures creator allegedly punched a man in the face Tuesday night after that man reportedly grabbed Ye’s wife, Bianca Censori.

After the incident, Ye and Censori left the scene. The man did not require any treatment. Now, the investigation will lead to a conversation with Ye and eyewitnesses.

Ye’s team reached out to TMZ, stating the grabbing of Censori was “grossly inadequate,” suggesting she was “phyiscally assaulted.”

The statement also said, “The assailant didn’t merely collide into her. He put his hands under her dress, directly on her body, he grabbed her waist, he spun her around, and then he blew her kisses. She was battered and sexually assaulted.”

“I have severe, severe postpartum, and I don’t know if any new moms can relate, but it’s to the point where it’s really bad, and it’s hard for me to be separated from my baby for more than 30 minutes at a time before I start to kind of freak out,” Halle Bailey said.

She went on to state that her child is a miracle, stating, “When I look at him, I cry because of how special he is. The only thing that’s been hard for me is feeling normal in my own body.”

Previously, Halle Bailey pulled the curtain back on her decision to keep her pregnancy quiet as long as she could.

At the 2024 ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards Ceremony, Halle revealed she was enjoying her “gift.”

“There was no way in hell I was going to share the biggest joy of my world with anyone. Halo was my gift. He is the greatest blessing, and I had no obligation to expose him, me, or my family to that,” Bailey said. “With the state of the world and the place it is in with men trying to force their will on our bodies, no one on social media, and for damn sure, no one on the planet was going to tell me what to do with my body or what to share with the world.”

The sentiment echoes that of the child’s father, DDG. Speaking with Hollywood Unlocked, DDG revealed the decision was to push away “negative vibes.”

“I think it was more so people was already giving us negative vibes, so it’s like why let ‘em know then make her pregnancy stressful?”

With a new baby, Halle Bailey and DDG have combined for a new Instagram for their son Halo. In the initial images on the account, Halo’s face is blurred for security.

Halo’s bio reads: “my stylist & dada @ddg run this page.. the flyest baby alive.”

Earlier this week, Halle Bailey confirmed what fans long speculated, she was pregnant. She and her boyfriend, rapper DDG, announced the birth of their son Halo on Instagram.

“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son,” Bailey wrote. “Welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥.”

DDG shared, “my biggest blessing by far 👶🏽❤ son son.. never been so in love 🥹 baby halo.”

Today In Hip Hop History: X-Clan Dropped Their Debut Album ‘To The East, Blackwards’ 34 Years Ago

tumblr pq4he0zgEL1t1yehoo1 640

On this day in 1990, “The Verbalizer” Brother J, Professor X “The Overseer”, Paradise “The Architect” and DJ Sugar Shaft “The Rhythm Provider” collectively known as X-Clan, released their debut LP To The East, Blackwards on 4th And B’Way/Island Records.

Produced by the entire crew that was put together by Paradise, who at the time ran the NYC Hip Hop hotspot Latin Quarters nightclub, this album helped to pioneer a movement of Black empowerment in Hip Hop culture with an infusion of Parliament/Funkadelic that was attractive to the youth of that era. Their “Blackwatch” organization, which was led by Professor X’s father, Brooklyn activist Sonny “Abubadika” Carson, legitimized their involvement in raising the consciousness of the Hip Hop generation and their 11 track, debut project was one of the tools that they used to attract their cult-like followers.

Tracks such as “Funkin’ Lesson” and “Heed The Word Of The Brother” led to the album’s mainstream visibility, however, other songs like “A Day Of Outrage(Operation Snatchback)”, “Verbs Of Power” and “In The Ways Of The Scales” allow Brother J to instruct the listeners about the socio-political issues of people of African descent around the world, but primarily in the United States.

Salute to the original members of X-Clan as well as those who continue to carry the legacy of the Clan. Thanks for this timeless piece of Hip Hop history!

Wendy Williams’ Ex Demands Cut from Lifetime Documentary

wendy

Former daytime talk show host Wendy Williams’ ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, made headlines on Friday as he arrived in court for a crucial day in his alimony battle. Representing himself, Hunter argued that Wendy’s court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, was draining her finances and withholding crucial financial documents. Hunter accuses Morrissey of refusing to turn over the bank statements so he can be paid his percentage from the “Where is Wendy Williams” Lifetime documentary contract…

During the tense hearing, Hunter alleged that Morrissey, Wendy’s guardian, was depleting the host’s finances, leading to a heated exchange between the parties involved. Hunter cited concerns about financial mismanagement and accused Morrissey of being involved in a racketeering scheme, referring to a case where she was named as a defendant.

Hunter emphasized the urgency of the matter, expressing frustration over the lack of access to Wendy’s financial records. He claimed that Wendy had earned nearly half a million dollars from her involvement in the Lifetime docuseries “Where is Wendy Williams?” but argued that Morrissey was withholding vital information.

In response, Morrissey denied Hunter’s allegations and disagreed with his statements regarding Wendy’s earnings. The judge clarified that despite the allegations against Morrissey, the case did not qualify as an emergency.

Hunter expressed his concerns about the cessation of alimony payments and accused Morrissey of neglecting her duties as Wendy’s guardian. He highlighted the financial strain caused by the lack of access to funds and criticized Morrissey’s handling of the situation.

As the hearing concluded, Hunter appeared optimistic while Morrissey seemed visibly stressed, reflecting the intensity of the legal battle between Wendy Williams’ ex-husband and her court-appointed guardian.

In a truthful, yet hilarious back and forth banter, G-Unit soldiers Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda got into a heated debate on 4/20 as to whose movie career had the biggest impact. Murda only had two words for Yayo: Bruce Willis!

Power actor Gianni Paolo recorded the friendly argument as Murda is confident that his movie Reprisal with Bruce Willis is better than any on screen work ever done by Yayo.

“Bruce Willis! Who you did movies with?”, yelled the Don’t Come Outside rapper. “I did S.W.A.T too, stupid,” Yayo replied.

“Who was the lead actor? You can’t even name it,” the Brooklyn native responded before again yelling, “Bruce Willis!”

Yayo, on the other hand, was referring to his part in the 2011 Benny Boom-directed S.W.A.T: Firefight. He also landed a brief role playing himself in 2010’s Morning Glory, which featured an ensemble cast including Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton, Patrick Wilson and Jeff Goldblum.

During a recent performance on his Behind The Desk Experience Tour, Dirty South Hip Hop legend Scarface paid tribute to the late Tupac Shakur by recalling a time when the pop culture icon played a prank on him and blew his high when he first arrived in Los Angeles.

“First time I got to California, I’m in L.A., smoking LA weed. We ain’t ever had no shit like this before,” Scarface said. “I’m living in Burbank and recording the Untouchable album. It’s my first time getting high with some L.A. chronic.”

Scarface continues, “The homeboy[Tupac] pull up on me, he got a black Hummer with a fucking siren and loudspeaker on it. I’m in my apartment in Burbank high as fuck for the first time ever, and they come up and they go, ‘Brad Jordan, we know you’re in there, come out with your hands up.’ I’m on the couch like this and my motherfucking high says [does a walking away action]. He just blew my fucking high, man, and he wanted to go to the studio and record, right? He wanted me to ride in this Hummer with him. I’m not going anywhere with him because he does not have a driver’s license. And he can’t drive at all.”

The back and forth on wax between R&B crooner Chris Brown and Migos member Quavo has taken another unexpected turn with another involved party; Quavo’s ex-girlfriend and Brown’s former fling Saweetie.

The “My Type” rapper took to X(formerly Twitter) after her former beau dropped his “H*es & Bitches” diss response aimed at Brown. In the song, Quavo rapped, “I can take a model bitch and make a Saweetie, n-gga,” insinuating that he turned her into the successful artist she is today.

Saweetie hit back by posting a screenshot of an unopened DM from Quavo, but the preview of the message reads, “Damn. We used to mean af to each…” Saweetie cynically captioned the screenshot, “Hopefully the model he turns into me replies.”

Brown used the failed relationship between the two in his weaponized bars against the “Bad And Boujee” rapper, claiming to have slept with her while Quavo was still with her.

You fucked my ex-ho, that’s cool, I don’t give no fuck, lil n-gga/ ‘Cause I fucked yo’ ex when you were still with her, bitch, I’m up, lil n-gga,” CB rapped.

Saweetie and Quavo began dating back in 2018 but the couple called it quits in 2021 over allegations he cheated on her.
