Kendrick Lamar Speaks to Drake’s Alleged Hidden 11-Year-Old Daughter on “Meet the Grahams” Diss Track

Kendrick Lamar Speaks to Drake's Alleged Hidden 11-Year-Old Daughter on "Meet the Grahams" Diss Track

Drake didn’t even get an hour to enjoy the release of “Family Matters.” Kendrick Lamar was right back at him with “Meet the Grahams.”

The scratching and intense diss track saw Lamar pen personal letters to Drake’s son, Adonis, mom and dad, Sandra and Dennis, and the biggest one, another alleged hidden child. In the song, Lamar speaks to the unidentified 11-year-old daughter:

I’m sorry that your father not active inside your world
He don’t commit to much but his music, yeah, that’s for sure
He a narcissist, misogynist, livin’ inside his songs
Try destroy families rather than takin’ care of his own
Should be teachin’ you time tables or watchin’ Frozen with you
Or at your eleventh birthday, singin’ poems with you
Instead, he be in Turks, payin’ for sex and poppin’ Percs, examples that you don’t deserve
I wanna tell you that you’re loved, you’re brave, you’re kind
You got a gift to change the world, and could change your father’s mind
‘Cause our children is the future, but he lives inside confusion
Money’s always been illusion, but that’s the life he’s used to
His father prolly didn’t claim him neither
History do repeats itself, sometimes it don’t need a reason
But I would like to say it’s not your fault that he’s hidin’ another child
Give him grace, this the reason I made Mr. Morale
So our babies like you can cope later
Give you some confidence to go through somethin’, it’s hope later
I never wanna hear you chase a man ’cause his failed behavior
Sittin’ in the club with sugar daddies for validation
You need to know that love is eternity and trumps all pain
I’ll tell you who your father is, just play this song when it rains
Yes, he’s a hitmaker, songwriter, superstar, right
And a fuckin’ deadbeat that should never say “more life”

You can hear the bomb below.

Drake Drops "Family Matters" Diss, Says Kendrick Lamar Committed Domestic Violence

This Friday night (May 3) will go down in Hip-Hop history. After Kendrick Lamar fired off “6:16 in LA,” Drake unleashed “Family Matters.”

The new diss track continued where “Push Ups” left off, levying allegations of domestic violence on Kendrick Lamar while also stating that he cheated on his fiancee Whitney Alford and they have a relationship that will never reach marriage. Additionally, Drake says Kendrick Lamar’s son may belong to his pgLang co-founder, Dave Free.

And Drake didn’t forget all his other foes, claiming the Future beef hurts him while also examining his desire to team with Metro Boomin for two albums of Sahde. Drake continues to call Rick Ross an officer, hint at The Weeknd being a member of the LGTBQ community, and says his music only belongs in places with a lot of “pride.” He also doubled back to A$AP Rocky, suggesting he continue his fashion lane and appear next to Rihanna.

In the video, Drake pulls back up to New Ho King, flexes Pharrell’s chains, and destroys a minivan similar to the one from the Good Kid, m.A.A.d City album cover.

You can hear it all below.

Young Jeezy Believes Jeannie Mai Is Trying To Destroy His Brand

Jeezy Describes Conversation With Jeannie Mai About Her 'Dark Meat' Comments

TV personality Jeannie Mai’s divorce from rapper Young Jeezy took a contentious turn last month when she accused him of abuse and negligence regarding their two-year-old daughter. Now, Jeezy is hitting back in court, vehemently denying Mai’s allegations and accusing her of attempting to tarnish his reputation and brand.

In a recent legal filing obtained by The Blast, Jeezy responded to Mai’s claims of domestic abuse, labeling them as baseless and an orchestrated effort to “destroy” his name, brand, and reputation. Mai alleged in her previous filing that Jeezy exhibited explosive outbursts, excessive drinking, and instances of domestic violence during their marriage.

However, Jeezy refuted these accusations, emphasizing that he has never held Mai against her will or physically assaulted her in any manner. Specifically, he denied striking her with a closed fist across her cheekbone and eye, as well as other instances of violence detailed in Mai’s filing. Furthermore, Jeezy dismissed Mai’s claims of leaving firearms unsecured around their marital home, labeling them as entirely fabricated.

The rapper’s statement categorically denied the allegations brought forth by Mai, emphasizing that they lack any substantiation. He maintained his innocence and asserted that Mai’s accusations were part of a calculated effort to discredit him amid their divorce proceedings.

Mai’s legal filing detailed instances of alleged abuse, including claims that Jeezy struck her with a closed fist, causing injury, and subjected her to verbal insults. The couple’s divorce has also led to a custody battle over their two-year-old daughter, Monaco, further escalating tensions between them.

With allegations flying from both sides, the divorce between Jeannie Mai and Young Jeezy continues to unfold in the spotlight.

Screenshot 2024 05 04 at 12.26.54 AM

It has been twelve years since the passing of Beastie Boys founding member Adam Yauch aka MCA, but his legacy stands as a testament to why he should be recognized.

This year will mark the ninth anniversary of the passing of the Beastie Boys co-founder, who passed on May 4th, 2012 after a three year battle with cancer at the age of 47.  Just weeks prior to his death, the inventive style he and the crew became known for was immortalized in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Yauch was only 22 when the Beastie Boys released their debut album Licensed To Ill and he directed many of the videos for it. After the Beastie Boys found success in all levels of music, from Hip Hop to punk and metal fans alike, Adam took on many projects in the creative spectrum: first building state of the art recording studio in New York City and establishing an independent film company, thus directing several acclaimed movies. Yauch founded Oscilloscope Laboratories, an independent film production and distribution company based in New York City.

Breakin’ became an instant hit in the Hip Hop world for putting the dance culture on the map. The film features not only a storyline that captured audiences even outside of the Hip Hop world but some of the greatest music written at the time that was being included in the world of breakdancing.

With a cast made up of Hollywood elite and established Hip Hop players like Ice-T and dance sensation Michael Chambers a.k.a ‘Boogaloo Shrimp’, the film follows Kelly (played by Lucinda Dickey), a young jazz dancer that struggles with her style and takes it to the street with the help of her friend Adam (Phineas Newborn III). Adam introduces Kelly to two street dancers, Ozone (Adolfo Quiñones) and Turbo, who was played by Chambers, who in turn show her their dance crew and ways, and their endless competition they have with rival crew Electro Rock.

The crews in the film struggle with both their rivals, and also acceptance by Kelly’s dance instructor, who disapproves of the hybrid style the dancers perform alongside their street affiliation, but through it all, Kelly soon becomes a sensation with the crowds and finds success.

Earlier this week, Lil Durk took to Instagram to show off a gold Moon and Star medallion and chain in celebration of his Muslim faith, but some devout Muslims have been slamming Durk for his jewelry choice, especially since the religion of Islam considers hoarding or wearing of gold by men “haram” or forbidden, .

On May 2(Thursday), the Chi-Town native posted a pic of him rocking the coveted moon and star, immediately drawing criticism from the Islamic community and even some who aren’t Muslims, but who are familiar with certain tenets of the strict religion and were calling out the Windy City drill rapper and their perceived contradictions.

Today In Hip Hop History: Al B. Sure Dropped His Debut LP ‘In Effect Mode’ 36 Years Ago

Screenshot 2024 05 03 at 9.51.30 PM

On this date in 1988, Uptown Records R&B favorite Al B. Sure dropped his debut album In Effect Mode under the Uptown imprint and distributed on Warner Bros.

A little known fact about Al B. Sure is that before the release of In Effect Mode, the Mount Vernon native wanted to be a rapper, but his cousin Kyle West made R&B music, which influenced his decision to do the same. West was then enlisted as co-producer on Sure’s first album to which the duo wrote aall of the songs together on the album.

“Nite and Day”, the first single from the album, was written and recorded with no lyrics in 1987 by West, but when Sure heard the song a month after it was made, he wrote a chorus which led to he and West recording the song for the album.

In Effect Mode was quite a commercial success as well, having made it to #20 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart (where it remained for seven weeks). Five singles were released from the album, all of which made it to the Billboard singles charts: “Nite and Day,” “Off on Your Own (Girl),” “Rescue Me,” “If I’m Not Your Lover”, which was produced by Teddy Riley and “Killing Me Softly.”

Salute to AL B. Sure, Kyle West, Andre Harrell and the Uptown./Warner Bros. staff for making this a piece of Hip Hop/R&B history!

Tiffany Haddish Plays Detective Investigating Negative Comments Online

Tiffany Haddish at Michael Rubins Fanatics Super Bowl Party 2.11.23 credit Shareif Ziyadat

When it comes to combating internet trolls, Tiffany Haddish is far from letting sleeping dogs lie. She doing the polar opposite and actually investigating who’s saying what and who’s who. Haters in the comments watch out because she apparently has nothing but time and plenty of motivation.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times Thursday, Haddish addressed the detractors’ drinking all the haterade lately. I guess the energy has been getting under her skin, as she’s only human and wouldn’t be bothered by internet bullies, but instead of cowering, the “Night School” actress is firing back.

Haddish told the LA Times that her comments are ripe with bullying behavior. They’ve ratcheted up their onslaught more recently. But get this: She began using an inexpensive background check platform to find out contact details along with anything else she could dig up on her attackers. Yikes.

She even made a ghost account to get her hands on personal stuff on the trolls and wow, before getting phone numbers and actually calling some of them. Sorry, but this is kinda funny. It’s tragic but hilarious nonetheless. As you would think most are caught completely off guard by that. She goes deeper and checks out their credit reports and even, in some cases, police records all that!

Why go this far? Haddish wants people to know everything has consequences, especially bullying or hiding behind some account like a coward and bullying.
