Patrick Beverley Suspended Four Games for Game 6 Actions

Patrick Beverley’s season is over, but he has already been suspended for the 2024-25 campaign. According to ESPN, Beverley has been suspended four games for throwing a basketball at fans multiple times during Game 6 of the opening round of the playoffs.

Game 6 was the deciding game in the Milwaukee Bucks series. The Bucks lost to the Indiana Pacers. Later that night, Beverley had a spicy encounter with ESPN producer Malinda Adams, asking her to leave the postgame media scrum for not following his podcast.

Beverley is currently under investigation by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office for throwing the ball and hitting a fan in the head. Police have placed detectives on the case “who are currently investigating this situation and take all accusations seriously.”

Beverley apologized on his podcast, stating, “I have to be better, and I will be better. That should have never happened. Regardless of what was said, that should have never happened. Simple as that.”

Beverley also issued a direct apology to Adams, which she accepted.

Naomi Osaka has slid over to the Kendrick side in the beef with Drake. Speaking ahead of the Italian Open, Osaka states, “Not Like Us” put Dot over the top.

“Kendrick dropped some heat. That last song,” Osaka said. “That last song is amazing. And I played it walking onto the court. Currently, I think Kendrick’s doing another song.”

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a banger. Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” has bounced Drake out of holding a Spotify record. According to ChartData, “Not Like Us” has the biggest single streaming day for a Hip-Hop song in history, surpassing Drake’s “Girls Like Girls” featuring Lil Baby.

“Not Like Us” has hit the top of the Global Spotif chart with 10.986 million streams. “Girls Like Girls” was at 6.593.

All you have to do is mention Sweet Chin Music, and WWE icon Shawn Michaels will be right around the corner. Kendrick Lamar mentioned the wrestling finishing move on “Not Like Us,” prompting Michaels to offer his services to the duo to settle the differences.

“Put the wrong label on me, I’ma get ’em dropped/Sweet Chin Music and I won’t pass the aux,” Kendrick Lamar rapped.

“A little Sweet Chin Music goes a long way,” Michaels wrote. “@kendricklamar, you and @Drake are formally invited to #WWENXT to settle this thing. I’m even offering my services to mediate.”

Memphis Bleek and JAY-Z go way back, and the “Round Here” MC has now shared details about their friendship from back when they were teenagers.

During an episode of Fresh Pair that went live on Wednesday (May 8), the Brooklyn native reflected on his younger days and even revealed some details about Young Hov’s formative years.

“I used to get in trouble for trying to hang with Jay because they was the big-time dope boys,” he began at the 12:25 mark. “Jay never used to be home, so one day, my mom was at work and I had to go to his house to wait for my mom to come home.”

“You know, we in the house and I’m with his nephews and stuff, and his door open. It’s like you open the door, you looked in — Hollywood — you closed the door, you back in Newark, like something ain’t right […] I’m talking about ’91, ’90. He added, “Jay was always rolling, man, he’d give me $100 […] and be like, ‘Yo, Bleek, go to the store and get me a Pepsi and keep the change.’ This when Pepsi was a dollar — not two dollars; a dollar — so I got $99, like I’m up.”

NBA YoungBoy Is Granted Bond In Federal Weapons Trial

NBA YoungBoy Arrested on Drug and Firearm Charges

Even though last month things were looking kind of rough for Baton Rouge rapper NBA Youngboy after getting arrested in a prescription drug fraud scheme, but now it seems karma is working in his favor as Youngboy has been granted bond in his federal weapons case.

Today, the rapper appeared in court for the first time since his April arrest, where his bond was set at $100K. In images circulating online, he appears to be smiling as in front the judge, not being able to conceal his joy.

He waived his preliminary hearing, allowing the case to move forward and his arraignment has been scheduled for July 1. If he’s released in Utah, his home state of Louisiana wants him transported there to await his prescription drug trial.

YB was initially facing 63 charges including “patterns of unlawful activity, procuring or attempting to procure drugs, identity fraud, forgery, possession of controlled substances, and possession of a dangerous weapon.” Now, his list of charges has been reduced to 48. The charges include identity fraud, forgery and obtaining or attempting to obtain prescription drugs illegally,” according to WBRZ.

As for how Youngboy was allegedly caught, a probable cause affidavit from Cache County suggests that a suspicious pharmacist tipped off authorities. They claim to have received a call from someone who identified themselves as a doctor named Gwendolyn Cox. Gwendolyn, however, “sounded as though she was a much younger male from the Southern states.” The Cache County Sheriff’s Office, along with the FBI, Secret Service, and a SWAT team, then conducted a search warrant on YB’s Utah home. He was later taken into custody.

Travis Scott and Live Nation Settle Nearly All Lawsuits Resulting From Deadly 2021 Astroworld Festival

WATCH: Travis Scott Delivers "I KNOW ?" Video

Nearly three years after the tragic crowd crush at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival claimed the lives of 10 concertgoers, event promoter Live Nation has reached settlements in nine of the ten wrongful death lawsuits resulting from the deadly disaster.

As one lawsuit, filed by the family of Madison Dubiski, was poised to commence trial this week, news of the other settlements emerged.

The announcement of settlements follows revelations from the US Justice Department last month detailing their plans to sue Live Nation for antitrust violations. The government alleges the live entertainment giant’s dominance has stifled competition in ticketing events, effectively creating a monopoly presiding over the industry.

Back to the settlements. During a recent hearing, Live Nation attorney Neal Manne confirmed the settlements, including that of Dubiski, a 23-year-old Houston resident, who was among the victims, as reported by the Associated Press.

Terms were withheld due to a gag order preventing information regarding the resolution to be divulged to the public. The remaining lawsuit, brought by the family of nine-year-old Ezra Blount, the youngest victim, is slated for trial.

Astroworld Festival, which debuted on Nov. 5, 2021, at NRG Park in Houston, Texas, turned deadly as concertgoers were crushed, with at least eight immediate fatalities and two more deaths were confirmed at the hospital. The aftermath saw over 4,000 attendees filing hundreds of civil personal injury lawsuits, with 2,400 injury cases still pending.

Jalen Brunson's Heroic Return Powers Knicks 2-0 Series Lead Against Pacers

In a stunning turnaround, Jalen Brunson led the New York Knicks to a remarkable comeback victory against the Indiana Pacers, securing a 130-121 win and a 2-0 series lead.

Brunson, who left the game in the first quarter due to a foot injury, returned with a vengeance in the second half, scoring 24 of his 29 points. Alongside Donte DiVincenzo and OG Anunoby, who contributed 28 points each, the trio combined for an impressive 85 points.

Making history, this marked only the second time in Knicks Playoff history that three players scored 25+ points in a game, a feat last achieved in 1970.

Brunson’s resilience shone through as he became the first player since 1997-98 to score 20+ points in the second half or overtime in six consecutive Playoff games.

His return ignited a Knicks rally, with the team outscoring the Pacers 67-48 in the second half. Despite a stellar performance from Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton, who notched 34 points and seven 3-pointers, the Knicks’ determination proved unstoppable.

With chants of “MVP” echoing through Madison Square Garden, Brunson’s heroic comeback exemplified the spirit of the Knicks’ faithful.

The series now shifts to Indiana for Game 3, with the Knicks carrying momentum and a commanding lead.
