Earlier this month, Victoria Monet took to social media to share a heartfelt Father’s Day post, unveiling a photo of herself alongside her dad. She revealed that it was the first time she got to spend the holiday with him, and suggested that the sweet moment was “healing.” The post prompted another young woman to come forward, however, alleging that the man in the photo is her biological father too. This would mean that unbeknownst to her, she and Monet are allegedly half-sisters.

In a new TikTok, she explains that she was raised by her stepfather, and only met her and Monet’s alleged biological father once. She questioned why he felt comfortable publicly spending time with Monet whilst knowing that he had another child out there, who he didn’t bother to get to know.

“The only question I have for him is what did I ever do to you for you not to be in my life?” she says in the TikTok. “Like, what did I do?” The Neighborhood Talk‘s comments section is currently flooded with users siding with the young woman, and empathizing with her situation. Many are also speculating that the man may have only reached out to Monet for clout, and reminding her that his behavior is not a reflection of her worth.

“She focused on the daddy NOT her sister. She ain’t wrong,” one Instagram user writes. “Baby it’s a HIM problem,” another says. The little girl in me is so happyyyyyy, healing.” It’s a very heartening and wholesome development to witness, but it’s also one that has led to a lot of Internet speculation and possible, unexpected family reunions. Moreover, a woman claimed that this is her biological father as well, and that she is Monet’s half-sister.

“I’m glad you got a chance to meet him finally ,” the woman wrote of Victoria Monét and her father. “I’m 23 and haven’t seen him 20 years of my life…and he never bothered to reach out to me. Wow ANTHONY DETAMOORE or however u spell it !!! So Victoria Monet is my half sister ??” The “Alright” creative has yet to publicly respond to these claims at press time. Regardless, it’s not really any of our business to know what she thinks of this or how it makes her feel. After all, this seems like a very personal and complex process of learning about extended family… or it could be a clout-chase.

Obviously, this caused chaos in the replies of these tweets, with many validating the woman Zhanae’s narrative and others blasting her for it. But Victoria Monét’s alleged half-sister defended her right to tell her side of the story and to seek this reconnection. “My story deserves to be heard too,” she wrote of her alleged relationship to the 2024 BET Awards nominee. “how dare u spend time with ur other kids on Father’s Day like u are bettering your life and u have other kids out here . And I have reached out when I was younger he was not interested so u think imma reach out again ??? CRAZY”

Overall, this seems like a very tangled web with no strong indication of whether or not it will continue to play out in the public eye. Hopefully Victoria Monet doesn’t have to shift gears much as a result, as she already canceled some festival dates due to health issues. Rob49 Pays Bail For Three Dads On Father’s Day

Speaking with WDSU NewsChannel 6, Rob49 expressed how important father figures are as a whole. He was speaking from experience, revealing that his father was also incarcerated and how much he could have helped him if he was at home.

On social media, Ross said it was “divine divinity” that his final payment came along with the holiday the same week. “What would you rather celebrate, Father’s Day or the date of your last child support payment?” Ross questioned his fans. “Or, what if your last child support payment was on Father’s Day weekend? Before long, Kemp came with a video of her own, claiming Ross will be paying child support for various children for several more decades. “I came over here to cuss a b*tch out,” she began. “You stupid silly muthaf*cka. Drake seeming threw shade at Kendrick Lamar with his Father’s Day post on Sunday. While sharing pictures of himself, his son, Adonis, and his father, Dennis, Drake wrote: “Three generations. Happy Father’s Day to the ones guiding their daughters and sons.” Lamar infamously attempted to call out Drake for having a daughter on his diss track, “Meet The Grahams,” although the Toronto rapper denied the accusation. Lamar didn’t provide any proof for the claim either.

“Dear, baby girl, I’m sorry that your father not active inside your world / He don’t commit to much but his music, yeah, that’s for sure / He a narcissist, misogynist, livin’ inside his songs / Try destroy families rather than takin’ care of his own,” Lamar raps on the track. Two days later, Drake fired back with the polarizing, “The Heart Part 6.” On that song, he claimed to have fed Lamar false information to bait him.

Rihanna Lovingly Wished ASAP Rocky A Happy Father’s Day With A Comment On His Adorable Post

Yesterday (June 18) was Father’s Day. Naturally, Nick Cannon is the musician that most prominently comes to mind on that occasion. ASAP Rocky, though, is one of music’s biggest power couples alongside Rihanna, so he has plenty to celebrate, too.

He did so with an Instagram post featuring a handful of photos and videos. The gallery starts with a video of Rocky brushing his teeth, followed by a video of him and RZA (his son, not the Wu-Tang Clan rapper) napping in bed and a photo of RZA flashing a big, happy smile. Next is a video of Rocky and Rihanna hanging out in the bathroom, as Rocky prompts RiRi to show off her pregnant belly as she insists, “This is so sad.” She then jokingly moves her belly around before Rocky pats his own stomach and insists he and his wife match, which gets a laugh from Rihanna.

The post ends with a photo of Rocky kissing Rihanna’s pregnant belly, a video of RZA, and Rihanna and RZA laying in bed. It’s a cute look into the couple’s family life and Rihanna seemed to enjoy it, as she commented on the post, “The Mayers boys stole my whole heart! Happy Father’s Day nerd.”

RZA may not be old enough to enjoy Rihanna’s music yet, but he’ll probably be happy with her upcoming role in a Smurfs movie.
