Benny The Butcher Reveals Significance Of New Album’s Title, “Everybody Can’t Go”

Benny The Butcher’s upcoming album Everybody Can’t Go unfortunately faced a delay until early 2024, but that doesn’t mean it’ll be any less exciting or impressive. Moreover, he recently remarked what the project’s title means to him, and what he meant for it to represent. The Black Soprano Family boss expressed these thoughts to Elliott Wilson and company on the Rap Radar podcast, where they also discussed how rappers deserve more respect than they get these days. In order to prove that feat, he wants to do so through the best way he can: the strength, power, and displays of skill and talent through the music.

“Everybody can’t go because they not cut like that,” Benny The Butcher began his breakdown. “They not made like that. And you can’t dance to every song, you know what I’m saying? Everything is not for everybody. With new levels come new devils, and I want more. I want bigger for myself. When you make that first cut, when you clearly see, ‘These people are not for me, they don’t need to be here.’ So the people who made that, who got past that cut, they think they’re safe. And what I mean by level up, you know, is my way of thinking. And of course, my way of making music.”

Elsewhere during their conversation, the Buffalo native also thanked J. Cole for recognizing the responsibility that comes with his status as a leader in the game, whereas others in Cole’s position are “not worried about pushing the culture forward.” “A lot of things that he do that he don’t have to do,” Benny The Butcher stated. “I know we can say that about a lot of people but it seems to me like he take interest in things like that, and that’s the difference. He realizes his responsibility of him being the top guy. And make no mistake, he’s the top guy. Cole is the top f***ing guy in this s**t right now, you know what I’m saying? And for him to understand there’s a responsibility just says a lot about him, ’cause a lot of these dudes don’t, man.”

Benny The Butcher Calls Out Critics: “Enjoy The Music”

Benny The Butcher says fans don’t sit back and enjoy music anymore, instead, they’re focused more on critiquing the art. Venting on social media, earlier this week, he explained his issue with the way people consume music.

“Stop tryna always give ya’ll opinion ’cause you n****s is not Stephen A. Smith,” Benny said. “Respectfully though. It’s like, enjoy the music. Motherf*ckas don’t enjoy the music no more. They just critique the music. The people that you critiquing, you gotta realize, a large percent of them got here without your opinion. Benny The Butcher Gives Explanation For New Album Delay, But Still Calls It AOTY

While Benny The Butcher’s new album Everybody Can’t Go saw a delay, it’s still shaping up to be one of the best rap albums of the year. Moreover, the “Super Plug” rapper recently explained on social media why the album didn’t come out this week as expected. “My album ain’t coming out tonight or tomorrow,” he remarked in the clip. “I wasn’t as ready as I thought I was. Just know when you hear my s**t it’s gonna be better than all this other s**t you’ve been hearing all year.” With its announcement last year (and the proclamation that it would be the best Def Jam album since DMX’s debut), he’s building up a game-shifting release here.

Considering the Griselda affiliate’s incredible body of work so far, this doesn’t seem too hard of a promise to live up to for him. With the help of frequent collaborator Hit-Boy behind the boards for many tracks, Everybody Can’t Go is probably going to be just as good, if not better, than it would’ve been if it released this week. Furthermore, this is understandably not the only time that Benny The Butcher gassed up his own albums. For example, last year’s Tana Talk 4 was a strong album of the year contender as he predicted.

Benny The Butcher Speaks On Album Delay

“While n***as be talking their s**t, who wanna bet my s**t go cr*zy when I drop Tana Talk 4?” Benny The Butcher said back then in an Instagram video. “If anybody doubting me, who wanna bet? What we talking about? Who wanna bet me? I know the same n***as who be talking that s**t. What are we doing right now? Album of the year, who wanna bet me right now? Album of the year for consideration, before it even came out or even heard a single. I got 10 bands to anyone’s five, and I got 20 bands to anyone’s 10. Who wants to take that bet?”

Meanwhile, this is a huge and wonderful year for the 38-year-old regardless of Everybody Can’t Go, though that’s certainly a plus. He recently announced that he married his longtime girlfriend. Congratulations to the newlyweds, and we wish them all the happiness in the world; specifically, we wish this album will be as good as it sounds on paper. On that note, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Benny The Butcher.

Benny The Butcher Previews Lil Wayne Collab For New Album “Everybody Can’t Go”

Benny The Butcher are cooking up something good for the former’s upcoming August collaborative project with Hit-Boy, Everybody Can’t Go. Moreover, the Griselda affiliate recently took to Instagram Live to give fans a taste of what’s to come, and included a brief tease of a potential Weezy collab that might appear on the album. Furthermore, if released, this marks their first collaboration since 2020’s “Timeless,” which also featured Big Sean, on Benny’s Hit-Boy-produced album Burden of Proof. While it’s a (very) short snippet, just the Young Money legend’s voice got fans pumped.

“New Orleans to Buffalo,” Lil Wayne rapped on the song before Benny The Butcher cut it off quickly. “That’s all ya’ll need to hear, y’all heard what the man said,” the Buffalo lyricist remarked. “I said I need Lil Wayne, y’all heard what the man said. It’s on the way.” Of course, this is far from the only tease he offered so far as to his next full-length release. Still, for those unaware of his artistry and incredibly formidable pen, hopefully this serves as an entry point for those late to the party.

Hopefully this collab drops, as the Tana Talk 4 rhymer had bad luck with them in the past. “They hit me and was like, ‘Hov got an idea of a song he wanted you to do,” Benny The Butcher told Joe Budden of a potential Jay-Z team-up. “And then the day that I linked up with him, I’m just kicking it with him.We having drinks and s**t, and he didn’t mention the song. And as soon as he said that, somebody was like, ‘Yo, we need you,’ and they called him over. He left and it never got brought up again. This like, two, three years ago.”

Meanwhile, a Drake collaboration also fell through, but don’t let these unfortunate circumstances cloud your judgement. There’s a good chance that a writer of his caliber bodied both other MCs on the track. With that potential in mind, fans can only dream of what he achieved with Tunechi. On that note, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Benny The Butcher and Lil Wayne.

Benny The Butcher Goes Back & Forth With Fans Over Direction Of New Album

Benny The Butcher says that he’s moving away from boom baps beats with his upcoming album, Everybody Can’t Go. He explained the direction of his new music during a series of posts on Twitter, Sunday. Many of Benny’s fans weren’t happy with the news.

“NO…my album won’t be loaded up with boom bap beats… I did that already… the sound watered down too much y’all can have that shit,” he wrote in one post. He added: “I’m talkin all this shit but the beats that are boom bap are OD boom bap. I did everything on this album.” Fans quickly became worried about what to expect from the highly-anticipated project.

When one fan theorized the decision was made at the behest of Def Jam, Benny fired back: “Lol I swear y’all don’t kno NOTHIN bout the record business…On Machine Gun Black no label executive EVER spoke to me bout makin hits switchin beats EVER. this a narrative y’all like but nah.” He added in another post: “Who’s forcing what ? 5 to 50 & 3:30 both Al & Daringer produced records plus Thowy’s Revenge….not boom bap and some of my biggest solo joints…y’all twitter goons (lol) tryna draw that narrative that I’m forcing it but I do it with ease and BEEN givin y’all trap records right under yall.”

Benny previously revealed that he’s been working with Hit-Boy on the production of the project. It will be the second time that the two have teamed up on a full project, following 2020’s Burden Of Proof.

While Benny announced the release date during last week’s interview, he previously confirmed that he was working on the project earlier this year. In an Instagram post from February, he wrote that Hit-Boy would be producing the album. “Sometimes the experience of the journey is a better feeling than reaching the destination. You won’t ever kno unless u make it there…but remember ‘EVERYBODY CAN’T GO,’” Benny wrote at the time. “The Album produced by @hitboy…Loading[.]“ The two previously connected on Benny’s 2020 album, Burden of Proof. The album featured Lil Wayne, Dom Kennedy, Rick Ross, Conway the Machine, and more.

Benny is currently traveling the world on his Thank God I Made It tour. Stopping in Baltimore, last week, Benny surprised fans by bringing out J. Cole for a performance together. The two performed their 2022 collaboration, “Johnny P’s Caddy.” The song was featured as the lead single from Tana Talk 4 and was Benny’s first song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. “Started the THANK GOD I MADE IT TOUR off right way in Baltimore bringing my boy out @realcoleworld,” Benny wrote on Instagram after bringing out J. Cole. Benny will be stopping in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Ireland, Germany, Greece, and more in the coming weeks.
