The cast of Martin, including Martin Lawrence, Tisha Campbell, Carl Anthony Payne II, and executive producers Stan Lathan, Bentley Evans, Robert Lawrence, Rae Proctor, and Stacy Lyles were on hand for a celebrity-packed evening that honored the iconic, impactful 90s sitcom 30 years after it debuted. At the reunion watch party, BET CEO Scott Mills gave the opening comments.
Special guests at the event included Reginald Ballard, Affion Crockett, DeRay Davis, Garcelle Beauvais, Flex and Shanice Alexander, Benji Brown, Tommy Davidson, Matt Barnes, and more.
Guests were treated to a customized display by Philadelphia artist Chuck Styles, which included activation chambers and replicas of some of the show’s most memorable scenes and iconic landmarks, such as Nipsey’s. DJ Brian Henry (B-Hen) and a local saxophone provided the sounds and music for the evening. The “WZUP” Booth was hosted by Carl, Martin, Tisha, and Tommy’s children, who interviewed fans and special guests on what the series and reunion meant to them.

Kid Cudi reveals a new Netflix series, new album, and new event are coming on September 30. All the upcoming releases center around Cudi’s new series, Entergalactic, which is executive produced by Kenya Barris (Black-ish), that released a couple of trailers last week. Watch the trailer below,the serieswill follow two young musicians as they balance love and success in New York City.
The adult animated series stars Timothée Chalamet, Vanessa Hudgens, Jaden Smith, Ty Dolla $ign and Macaulay Culkin all lending their voices to the show.

Heading to his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio for this trio release. Cudi plans to honest an event called “Moonman Landing.” “Cleveland…where we goin? The moon,” Cudi wrote on Twitter, Wednesday.
Mary J. Blige has announced her Good Morning Gorgeous tour, which will be co-presented by Hologic and The Black Promoters Collective (BPC).
Beginning on Saturday, September 17 in Greensboro, NC, and ending on Saturday, October 29 in Atlantic City, NJ, Blige will perform in 23 locations with special guests Ella Mai and Queen Naija. Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta are also on the itinerary.

AFROPUNK is set to return to Brooklyn and will be headlined by The Roots and Burna Boy. AFROPUNK, a celebration of Black joy and a monument to the Brooklyn community’s resiliency, will take place in Commodore Barry Park on September 10th and 11th.
Joining The Roots and Burna Boy will be Lucky Daye, Freddie Gibbs, Tierra Whack, and Earl Sweatshirt. Rising star Bartees Strange will make his AFROPUNK debut as Butcher Brown will also hit the stage. AFROPUNK will also highlight the community, bringing Brooklyn artists Rodney Chrome, Alex Mali, and Talia Goddess to the stage.

Rolling Loud revealed its lineup for this year’s New York edition. Nicki Minaj, A$AP Rocky and Future will serve as headliners for the three day festival. Returning to Citi Field from September 23 to September 25. Future is also headlining Rolling Loud Miami in July and Toronto in early September.
Last year’s festival which sold out featured headliners and performers like Travis Scott, 50 Cent, A$ap Ferg, Bobby Shmurda, Joey Bada$$, and others. This year also includes a long list of must-see performers.

HOT 97’s Summer Jam returned to MetLife Stadium and was headlined by Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Fivio Foreign, Roddy Ricch, City Girls, and more. The night also had a star-studded tribute to the iconic DJ Kay Slay.
The night was stamped by Lil Baby who led the sold-out crowd through “Drip Too Hard” and “Yes Indeed.” Following Lil Baby’s set, Lil Durk took the stage with special guests Meek Mill, Nardo Wick, and French Montana.
Earlier in the evening, DreamDoll and Pusha T invigorated the stadium with their energy, followed by Roddy Ricch taking the stage to perform his hit singles “High Fashion” featuring DJ Mustard and “The Box.” It was a true City Girl Summer when, JT and Yung Miami hit the stage with their diamonds dancing and their high-fashion, performing fan favorites “Twerkulator” and “Act Up.”
The all-star homage to the late great DJ Kay Slay, the Drama King, was one of the most anticipated moments of the evening. The celebration was arranged by friend and rapper Papoose and featured Busta Rhymes, Remy Ma, Fat Joe, Maino, The Lox’s Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, Styles P., Juelz Santana, and Jim Jones who all performed during the set. Fans rejoiced as friends and relatives of DJ Kay Slay took the stage in honor of the Drama King’s life and legacy.
“Kay Slay loved authenticity and represents the streets! I knew the artists who came out had to embody that!” Said Papoose, who orchestrated the tribute along with T.T. Torrez (Hot 97 VP of Artist & Label Relations) & DJ Spazzo. “While putting it together I was extremely emotional! I didn’t know if I would be able to walk on that stage without breaking down but I pulled it off! Kay Slay was watching over me!”
Cardi B hit the festival stage to join B-LOVEE and Dougie B to perform “Shake It.” Additional performers included Cordae, BLEU, NLE Choppa, Benny The Butcher, Babyface Ray and Lady London.

PJ Morton will launch a four-month North American tour this Friday, June 17, headlining a lengthy list of storied venues that just became bigger. The multi-Grammy Award-winning performer, songwriter, and soul singer will now tour over 40 performances and counting in support of his most recent album, Watch The Sun, with the addition of six East Coast dates today, including Baltimore and Boston.
Each stop, which is sponsored by TJ Entertainment Group, will also include a set from up-and-coming DJ Arie Spins, a fellow New Orleanian, before Morton and his unstoppable ten-piece band performs a rousing selection of songs from Watch The Sun live on the stages of the Apollo Theatre, Ryman Auditorium, Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre, and other iconic locations.

According to a confirmed report, Sony Music will release MJ the Musical – Original Broadway Cast Recording on Friday, July 15.
Heralded as “a riveting adrenaline rush of a show!” by Peter Marks in The Washington Post, MJ the Musical opened at the Neil Simon Theatre on February 1, 2022 to rave reviews from both critics and audiences. “MJ delivers the thrills!” exclaimed Jesse Green at The New York Times.
Similar reactions are in to the first snippet from the cast recording of “Billie Jean” that was shared on May 19 by The New York Times and has created overwhelming anticipation for the release of the album.
MJ the Musical – Original Broadway Cast Recording was recorded at Power Station at BerkleeNYC. The album was produced by David Holcenberg and Jason Michael Webb and co-produced by Derik Lee; Lia Vollack, John Branca, and John McClain served as executive producers.
