Meek Mill Praises Elon Musk’s Newest Idea For Twitter

Meek Mill expressed his excitement about Elon Musk’s latest idea for Twitter on the social media platform, Friday. Musk had posted about paying creators for advertisements ran in the replies to their posts. In response, Meek suggested he might be done with Instagram for good.

“In a few weeks, X/Twitter will start paying creators for ads served in their replies. First block payment totals $5M,” Musk wrote. “Note, the creator must be verified and only ads served to verified users count.” Meek quote-tweeted the post with the caption: “I’m about to cut instagram fully off! Lol.”

Despite the recent praise, Meek hasn’t always spoken favorably of Twitter. Back in December 2022, he condemned the site in a different post. “Ima deactivate Twitter forever and go to a new social where it’s more good vibes based off building, creating and motivation,” he wrote at the time. “Whoever run my shit turn this off forever … ima takeover my YouTube account to replace me interacting with supports! Too many bots and weird people.”

Meek has also attempted to get into business with Musk on Twitter. After Musk purchased the platform, Meek wrote on the site: “Elon musk let us invest in Twitter with you ‘big homie.’” Musk didn’t respond to the post. Check out Meek’s latest attempt at interacting with the billionaire on Twitter below.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to Announce 2024 Presidential Campaign in Twitter Spaces Event with Elon Musk

a

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is ready to announce his 2024 presidential campaign. The announcement will be part of a Twitter conversation with the platform’s owner Elon Musk on Wednesday evening.

According to NBC News, DeSantis will instantly become the main opposition in the Republican party to former President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign.

The conversation will occur over the Twitter Spaces audio chat platform, scheduled for Wednesday at 6 p.m. ET. The conversation with be moderated by another tech entrepreneur David Sacks. The 2024 DeSantis campaign video will launch the same evening as the conversation. After the Memorial Day weekend, DeSantis is expected to travel the country for his campaign.

For better or worse, the Twitter spaces will blend a rising Republican name and a powerful tech mogul. Previously, Musk invited Trump back to Twitter following his acquisition. Musk reportedly believes that Trump can’t regain control of the White House, opting to align with a future candidate.

None of the alleged parties involved in Wednesday evening’s event has commented.

Elon Musk Corrected By Twitter For Questioning Shooter’s Neo-Nazi Ties

Even Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and Twitter couldn’t escape the scrutiny of the social platform’s community notes. The notes, which appear as warning labels on posts, aim to combat misinformation on the platform. However, one note that corrected Elon’s false statement seems to have disappeared. During an interview with CNBC, Musk made a pretty controversial statement regarding a shooting. The shooting in question took place earlier this month in Allen, Texas. There, a gunman killed eight people at an outlet mall. The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed that the shooter had neo-Nazi ties. Musk claimed, however, “there’s no proof he is” a white supremacist. He also suggested that false accusations of white supremacy should be avoided.

A Twitter user noticed Musk’s error and shared the CNBC clip. They commented, “Musk doubles down on his claims that there’s no evidence the Allen, Texas mall shooter had white supremacist beliefs.” The tweet was promptly flagged by Twitter’s community notes, which provided a correction. “Texas police have confirmed that Allen mall shooter ‘had neo-Nazi tattoos and beliefs’ and wore a patch signifying ‘right-wing death squad,’” it said. While the community note was visible on Tuesday night, it had vanished by Wednesday morning. The reason for its removal is unclear, and it is uncertain whether Elon Musk had any involvement in its deletion. You can check out his comments in the video below.

Musk Won’t Be In Charge Of Twitter Much Longer

Those who have been dissatisfied with the way that Elon Musk has handled his Twitter acquisition will find one of his latest tweets very satisfying. The billionaire has revealed that he has chosen a new CEO to take his place at Twitter. The announcement was made earlier this month. It came five months after Musk confirmed that he would be stepping down as the company’s CEO. Musk stated that she will start her new role next month. Meanwhile, he will take on the position of executive chair and chief technology officer.

Musk expressed his excitement over the appointment and tweeted, “Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks! My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.” What do you think of Musk’s latest controversial comments? Let us know in the comments below!

Cardi B’s Thirsty Tweet About Janelle Monáe’s NSFW Video Causes Shadow Ban, She Asks Elon Musk For Help

New York-born lyricist Cardi B has never been one to censor herself, which is precisely why fans love her. Unfortunately, it seems Twitter isn’t so fond of her often-salacious nature, as the mother of two’s account was hit with a shadow ban following her NSFW response to a video of Janelle Monáe. If you somehow didn’t hear, the Dirty Computer songstress practically broke the internet last week with a video of her bare breasts being flashed to her audience during a performance, among other antics.

When she came across the footage, Cardi took the opportunity to thirst after Monáe the way many fans have – shamelessly. As Uproxx reports, she used an image of the reality star and OnlyFans content creator Natalie Nunn hooking up with another woman to express her feelings, though the message was quickly taken down. In the days following, the rap diva seems to have noticed a substantial difference in her Twitter engagement, as she reached out to CEO Elon Musk with a public plea for help.

Cardi B Turns to Elon Musk for Help

@iamcardib/Twitter

“I’m shadow banned ’cause I posted a picture of somebody getting their [t*tty] sicked,” she wrote on Tuesday (May 16). “@elonmusk please unshadow ban me. I won’t do it again,” Bardi further pleaded. That most, like the original one that got her in trouble, has since been deleted as well, though we nabbed a screenshot before the removal. Seeing as the South African engineer will only be head honcho of the social media platform for a short period, it remains unclear if he’ll still have the authority to help the Grammy Award winner following his demotion.

It’s worth noting that her post’s impressions are noticeably lower than in the past, prior to her expressing interest in Monáe. Cardi B Asked Elon Musk For Help After Her Thirsty Tweet About Janelle Monáe Got Her ‘Shadowbanned’

It looks like Cardi B’s Twitter fingers might have gotten her in a little trouble with the platform’s admins, so she’s going to the owner himself for help. It all started when Janelle Monáe dropped her refreshingly racy video for “Lipstick Lover,” prompting a 24-hour thirst-fest on Twitter. Cardi joined in with an NSFW post of her own, which included a photo of a woman sucking another woman’s breast. However, Cardi now believes that her explicit post got her account “shadowbanned” and is even ready to suck up to the app’s owner and former CEO.

“I’m shadowbanned cause I posted a picture of somebody getting their tittie sucked,” she wrote. “@elonmusk please unshadowban me. I won’t do it again.”

Of course, her request might be a little too late; Elon reportedly stepped down from Twitter, installing a new CEO — who is, unfortunately, not Dionne Warwick — and is said to be focusing on “product design & new technology.” What “product design” has to do with spreading antisemitic memes remains to be seen. Maybe it’s part of that “free speech” he keeps railing about (to recap: titty tweets=not okay; virulent Nazi symbolism=okay).

For what it’s worth, though, it does appear that Cardi is any kind of banned. Her last tweet, a video of the huge bunch of roses Offset got her for Mother’s Day, has nearly 2 million impressions since yesterday, which means her tweets probably aren’t being secretly suppressed by the algorithm. More likely, she’s been in what’s colloquially known as “Twitter Jail,” when the app won’t let you post for a while because you violated terms of service somehow. It’s less public than an official suspension, and usually, it only lasts about a day. Cardi’s latest tweet kind of proves that she’s off timeout, and we’re sure she’ll be posting something controversial again in no time.

Elon Musk’s run as CEO of Twitter has come to a close. Hitting the app, Musk announced a new CEO will take over, and she will start in about six weeks.

“Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter,” he tweeted. “She will be starting in ~6 weeks! My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.”

The new hire follows Musk’s December 2022 poll asking if he should step down. A 57% vote, ruled yes, evoking the response, “I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams.”

Elon Musk Has Hired A New Twitter CEO

The Elon Musk Twitter saga may finally be reaching its end. After becoming the new CEO of Twitter in 2022, Musk modified the platform’s verification system. As a result, users now have the option to pay for verification. This has drawn criticism from some users who believe that this goes against the platform’s goals. The change in the verification system has also caused the blue checkmarks to be removed from the profiles of many public figures. Many of them have also voiced their opposition to Musk’s decision to change the verification feature. This includes artists such as Doja Cat and Lil Nas X, who have expressed their frustration at having their verification status taken away without justification.

Musk also recently responded to a tweet proposing the addition of a dating feature on Twitter. The tweet was posted by content creator Steven Mark Ryan from the Youtube channel Solving The Money Problem. Musk replied swiftly, calling the idea “interesting” and suggesting that it could even create job opportunities. Ryan’s tweet highlighted the feature’s potential, stating that it “might actually save humanity from extinction.” The YouTuber also referred to the idea as “very low hanging fruit” and expressed his belief that “Twinder would be HUGE.” Whether or not the whole thing is a joke remains to be seen.

6 More Weeks Of Musk

Those who have been dissatisfied with the way that Elon Musk has handled his Twitter acquisition will find his latest tweet very satisfying. The billionaire has revealed that he has chosen a new CEO to take his place at Twitter. The announcement was made earlier today, five months after Musk confirmed that he would be stepping down as the company’s CEO. Although the new CEO was not named, Musk stated that she will start her new role next month, Meanwhile, he will take on the position of executive chair and chief technology officer.

Musk expressed his excitement over the appointment and tweeted, “Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks! My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.” What do you think of the latest update in the Elon Musk saga? Do you think the platform will change for the better when he is no longer CEO? Let us know in the comments!

Dionne Warwick Joked That She Will Be Twitter’s New CEO After Elon Musk Announced He Is Stepping Down

Elon Musk is reportedly stepping down as CEO of Twitter. While many Twitter users were elated over the news, the future of the social platform is still uncertain.

In a post shared to Twitter today, Musk revealed that he has lined up his replacement.

“Excited to announce that I’ve a new CEO for X/Twitter,” said Musk. “She will be starting in ~6 weeks! My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.”

At the time, Musk had not yet named the woman who will be taking on the role, however, one Twitter favorite has teased that she, herself, will step in after Musk. Singer Dionne Warwick revealed, seemingly as a joke, that she will be Twitter’s new CEO.

“I am excited to officially take on the role as CEO of Twitter,” said Warwick. “This has been in the works for months.”

Over the past few years, Warwick’s tweets have become a joy to users of the site, as she often expresses her thoughts on newer artists as she discovers them in real time.

However, she doesn’t seem to be much of a fan of Twitter, as she recently revealed she is now on a rival of the site, called Bluesky.

But don’t even think about asking her for an invitation to Bluesky.

“Stop asking me for invite codes,” she said in a recent tweet. “I wouldn’t even know where to find one and I do not intend on trying.”

Elon Musk Is Considering A Twitter Dating App

Elon Musk shared his response to a tweet suggesting a dating feature be added to his newly-acquired social media platform, Twitter. When content creator Steven Mark Ryan of the Youtube channel Solving The Money Problem shared a Tweet suggesting the new feature, Musk quickly replied. The tech mogul called the idea “interesting,” adding that the feature could potentially lead to “jobs too.” Ryan’s tweet called for Musk to consider the feature’s potential, claiming it “Might actually save humanity from extinction.” The YouTuber’s tweet also called the idea “Very low hanging fruit,” adding, “Twinder would be HUGE.”

Ryan offered to “make an entire video on how this opt-in app would work and why it would be 10x better than conventional dating apps.” He also called Twitter “the EVERYTHING app.” The content creator’s tweet came as a reply to Musk’s tweet expressing concern for “population collapse.” Musk’s expression of concern for a population crisis comes after he already made public claims that he believes “a collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far.”

Musk Adding Features To Twitter

Since acquiring Twitter in 2022, he made changes to the platform’s verification process. Now, users can pay to become verified on Twitter, which many users feel is counterintuitive. The change in the site’s verification feature has also led to various public figures having blue checkmarks removed from their profiles. Moreover, several public figures have spoken out about Musk’s decision to change the feature. Artists like Doja Cat, Lil Nas X and more have expressed annoyance for their verification being taken away unjustifiably.

Musk continually faces a great amount of backlash for the changes he made to the platform thus far. The billionaire has also shared his plans to add new features to the platform, including voice and video calling features. Additionally, Musk has revealed that Twitter is working towards adding payment features to Twitter. Let us know what you think of this potential idea, in the comments section down below. Tucker Carlson Plans To Take His Show To Twitter

Tucker Carlson, former host of the Fox News show Tucker Carlson Tonight, has taken to Twitter to share his plans of bringing his canceled show to the platform. The political commentator calls the platform, “the last big [platform] remaining in the world” that “[allows] free speech.” In the video, Carlson states “Free speech is the main right you have.” Adding, “Without it, you have no others.” The video has consequently sparked discussion on Twitter, as well as a response from Twitter’s CEO, Elon Musk.

Carlson was recently terminated from Fox News in April of this year due to concerns surrounding his coverage of the 2020 U.S. presidential election. The termination followed the settlement of a $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox Corporation by Dominion Voting Systems. The suit ended with a nearly $800 million settlement from Fox Corporation. The suit involved claims that Fox News spread false information pertaining to their involvement in the election. Moreover, there are various other lawsuits pending against the corporation surrounding its coverage of the election. Lawyers claim that the coverage allegedly contributed to the January 6, 2021 insurrection, which led to various injuries and deaths. Similarly, one lawsuit comes from voting technology company Smartmatic, which is suing Fox News for $2.7 billion in damages.

Carlson Gets Pushback From Elon Musk

The video also garnered the attention and a response from the site’s CEO, Elon Musk, who acquired the site in 2022. Musk retweeted the video along with a message stating he “want(s) to be clear that [they] have not signed a deal of any kind whatsoever.” Adding, “Tucker is subject to the same rules & rewards of all content creators.” Musk additionally states that “anything misleading will get @CommunityNotes.”

Musk’s newfound ownership of the major social media platform has sparked a tremendous amount of backlash. Namely, the recent scandal concerning Twitter’s new feature which allows users to purchase the blue checkmark that indicates to other users that you are verified. Various public figures have spoken out about Musk’s purge of the blue checkmarks on authentic accounts. Notable users who have pushed back against this new feature include GloRilla, Lil Nas X, Doja Cat, and more.
