Drake Shows Off Tupac’s Ring And Points Out His Son’s Mom On The Wall Of Fame During An Interview At Starlets Strip Club

Drake has always been relatively averse to doing press but in recent years, he’s seemingly been more open to it. Of course, being Drake, he can’t just do interviews with normal journalists. His most recent clips include a beach interview with Lil Yachty, an awkward gimmick interview with influencer Bobbi Althoff, and a string of parody interviews with legacy outlets like The Howard Stern Show and Vogue. He added another popular influencer to the list, catching up with New York street interview show Sidetalk NYC outside of New York strip club Starlets, where he made some jokes about his son’s mom and bragged about wearing Tupac Shakur’s jewelry.

Drake purchased the ring in question at auction for over $1 million — more than $700,00 over its original asking price. The ring had originally been in the collection of Outlawz member Yaki Kadafi’s mother, Yaasmyn Fula. Pac had worn the ring at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards — his final public appearance before he was gunned down in Las Vegas that year.

During his interview with Sidetalk, Drake — who’s either very drunk or doing an impressive impression of it — boasted that his son’s mom, Sophie Brussaux, was on the club’s wall of fame. He was also asked “which city has the greatest density of tingz,” deciding that Denver, Colorado takes the cake for … cake. You can check out Drake’s latest humorous interview above.

Drake Dubbed Lamar Jackson ‘His Quarterback’ During A Recent ‘It’s All A Blur Tour’ Stop, And Baltimore Ravens Fans Lost It

Just when the whispers of the Drake curse began to fade away, his latest comments have sports fans on edge. On Saturday, July 29, during Drake and 21 Savage’s It’s All A Blur Tour stop at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, his special guest reignited the sports fan superstition.

In an attempt to show love to a sports hero in the DMV area, Drake decided to bring out Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. However, the seemingly kind gesture had Ravens running to social media. While introducing the athlete to the sold-out crowd, Drake threw his arm around Jackson and said, “This is my quarterback Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens, yeah,” to which backlash ensued.

“No tf it ain’t! You not cursing us with your loser energy,” wrote one person.

Another added, “If Drake curses this man’s season, so help me God.”

“Aww man, Drizzy Drake wyd man?? Too much attention we cooking right now,” nervously penned another.

One person posted, “If the Drake curse affects Lamar Jackson, I promise imma give that address to my driver and make it my destination.”

“Either we’ll be undefeated or complete ass after this one, lmao,” wrote one.

“Doesn’t he have some curse affiliated with him whenever he attaches himself to a team? Naw, Drake, he is NOT your QB; we’re good over here,” wrote another.

Meanwhile one fan completely lost faith in the team’s potential to make it to the Superbowl, writing, “Welp, it’s”over for the season.”

Drake Treated Himself To A Million-Dollar Purchase Of A Truly Special Piece Of Tupac Memorabilia

Today (July 28), Drake took to Instagram to show off his latest extravagant jewelry purchase: none other than a ring that previously belonged to Tupac. Earlier this week, on Monday, Sotheby’s auction house had revealed that they had sold it for $1,016,000, despite originally being priced at $200,000 to $300,000, per XXL.

Tupac’s previous ring isn’t just an ordinary one either. Shaped into a crown, it is covered in gold, rubies, and diamonds. Specifically, from the Sotheby’s description, it is a 14-karat, plus five karats of diamonds — and then, you add in the other gems. It also has a unique personal touch, as “Pac & Dada, 1996” is etched into the ring.

In Drake’s reveal that he was the new owner, he posted a pic of the item on his story, complete with a celebratory caption in Travis Scott’s honor — as the fellow rapper dropped his new album, Utopia, today.

“UTOPIA OUT NOW MELTDOWN,” Drake wrote.

Before Drake purchased it, the ring had been reportedly in Yaasmyn Fula’s, Outlawz’s Yaki Kadafi’s mother, personal collection. Sotheby’s had hosted the sale as part of their 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop acknowledgement — pointing out that he wore it during his final public appearance at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards.

“That ring is a powerful symbol. Whoever wore that ring had to accept that they have a responsibility to have an impact on the world,” Fula said in their Instagram post.

Drake Reignites Pusha T Beef, Shades Pharrell on ‘UTOPIA’ Feature Verse

Drake is not down with Pusha T. Escalating the beef, Drake has drug King Push’s longtime friend Pharrell Williams into the drama.

Drake appears on Travis Scott’s UTOPIA album and goes right back at Pusha T, but references the historic chains he purchased that once belonged to Pharrell. Let Drake tell it; he melted them down already.

“Man, fuck all that spinning the narrative shit
I melt down the chains I bought from your boss
Give a fuck about all of that heritage shit
Since V not around the members done hung up the Louis
They not even wearing that shit”

– Drake

Drake purchased the Jacob & Co. skateboard pendant that Pharrell once wore frequently. It was part of an online auction and sold for $103K. Drake was then spotted with the chain in St. Barth’s and the “Jumbotron Shit Poppin” video. He is also believed to have purchased other pieces of Pharrell’s chain.

Drake was done with his jewelry purchases, promoting the single, The Boy showed off Tupac’s ring which soared past $1 million at Sotheby’s to promote the single.

Did Drake Diss Pusha T On ‘Utopia?’

Travis Scott‘s new album Utopia has everyone talking. Utopia marks his fourth album, and his first in five years. As Scott is wont to do, he initially withheld the features upon revealing the tracklist, however, upon first listen, fans were quick to identify a frequent collaborator of Scott’s — none other than Drake.

Drake is featured on “Meltdown,” which contains not only a hypnotic beat switch, but perhaps some cryptic bars.

Upon streaming “Meltdown,” fans believed that Drake may have subliminally dissed Pusha T.

“I melt down the chains that I bought from your boss, give a f*ck about all of that heritage sh*t / Since V not around the members done hung up the Louis they not even wearing that sh*t”

It’s not unlikely that Drake is referring to the fact that he purchased a 14K three-tone N.E.R.D pendant chain ($2,184,000), a white gold brain pendant chain ($725,000), and a skateboard pendant chain ($103,750) — which he revealed in the video for the Her Loss cut “Jumbotron Sh*t Poppin’, with 21 Savage.

As many of us know, Drake and Pusha T have been beefing since 2018, when the two exchanged a series of diss tracks aimed at each other.

You can listen to “Meltdown” above.

Utopia is out now via Epic Records and Cactus Jack. Find more information here.

Drake Hits NYC Hot Spot with 20 Women Following MSG Shows

Drake Teams with Snapchat to Launch Augmented Reality for Duration of 'It's All A Blur Tour'

Drake stepped out after his New York City show at Madison Square Garden, and in true Certified Lover Boy fashion, he had at least 20 women with him. According to PageSix, The Boy followed his MSG residency each night with an after-party at Mamo in Soho, where he was said to be surrounded by a “bevy of beauties.”

Why Mamo? Well, they hold Drake down whenever he wants to visit. “They close down for him all the time,” says our insider. “It’s super last-minute. They get hit up, and they accommodate him very well.”

Drake has wrapped up his time in New York City for the It’s All A Blur tour. Taking the stage during his final show at Madison Square Garden, Drake gave an update on when fans will be able to hear his For All The Dogs album.

Before departing the stage, Drake promised to return and gave the update.

“I will be back soon. I have an album dropping in, like, two weeks or some shit,” Drake said. “But until then, just know, you’re always with me and I’m always thinking of you and everything I do is for you. Every time I step in that booth, I hope to make you proud.”

Two weeks “or some shit” would put The Boy around a release date of August 11. You excited?

Fans have often said that Drake’s “got that dawg in him,” but this week, he took that statement literally as he was spotted leaving his hotel in New York City wearing a full-head dog mask.

Drake rocked the head-turning (or tail-wagging?) look on Thursday as he left his hotel to head to his performance at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The black and tan mask (which some say is a doberman while others say is a rottweiler), which covered his full face and neck, was complimented by a fresh New York Yankees baseball jersey and gray sweats and what appears to be a glass of white wine.

Luckily it appears that the “Hotline Bling” singer was able to see just fine through the mask’s eyeholes as he successfully made it to his show in Brooklyn (one of several in New York City over the past week). The performances were part of his “It’s All a Blur” U.S. tour with 21 Savage.
