Both have been going strong for about 30 years total and have well-defined sounds. For the veteran producer, Fraud is coming off a terrific 2023 filled with high-profile collaborations. He got to work alongside artists such as Kamaiyah and Jay Worthy, Valee, and Curren$y. Now, Harry Fraud is teaming up with Ransom for Lavish Misery.
This effort sees the two East Coast talents work together on a full-fleshed project. However, they have created some heat together prior to this. “Band of Brothers” is an example that comes from the beat maker and 38 Spesh’s team tape Beyond Belief. Ransom, Harry Fraud, and Boldy James are here to bring you “Live from the Roxy.” All three are veterans and respected ones at that. If you are looking for hardcore and/or jazzy raps, then this trio is for you.
Ransom is following up a strong 2023 after plenty of features, several singles, and his lone LP from July, Directors Cut 4. For Harry Fraud, he was also all over the place last year. He had production credits on four LPs for RXKNephew, Jay Worthy and Kamaiyah, Valee, and Curren$y. Finally, for Boldy James, he is back after a more recent release. It has been a busy year to say the least for Brooklyn’s own, Ransom. The storied career of this hip-hop artist will go down as one that is iconic but also underappreciated. A true wordsmith and intimidating MC, Ransom has been pumping quality since the late 2000s. Already this year, the prolific rapper has put out two EPs and an album to boot.
The first of which was the LP, Directors Cut 4. It featured artists such as Nicholas Craven, Che Noir, Tali Kweli, and more. Then, after that, only a couple of weeks went by before we were delightedly treated to Ransom’s first EP of the year with Deleted Scenes 2. That was a full collab effort with Nicholas Craven in the booth. The song titles were cleverly named after movie titles of different genres.
