Drake’s latest solo album, For All The Dogs, has stirred up several heavy online debates. From the blatant featured guest omissions and accusations of failing to appropriately credit other artists’ work to the speculated disses on the project, Drake’s latest has been a constant topic of conversation online. However, despite trending across social media, he’s opted not to issue a response.

Then Joe Budden critiqued the album during a recent episode of his self-titled podcast. Immediately after getting wind of Budden’s remarks, Drake hopped into the Instagram comments to clap back. Now, via Drake’s Instagram Stories, the beef seemingly continues.

In the series of posts, Drake pulled inspiration from a tense stand-off between several titans in the National Basketball Association (NBA). “You thought you was Kobe 😂, ” wrote Drake, quoting basketballer Draymond Green’s infamous jab at now-retiree Paul Pierce.

For viewers of the post who didn’t know about the exchange, Drake uploaded the video clip as well. Where Green pokes at Piercing, saying, ”Chasing that farewell tour? They don’t love you like that.”

Drake repurposed the shade to make fun of Budden’s retirement from rap music to pursue entertainment media full-time, which he did after expressing that he felt unappreciated in music. Below, you can see Budden’s original remarks that might have kickstarted this back-and-forth.

Drake Swore To ‘Pay Whatever It Takes’ To Help A Fan With MS After Seeing Their Sign During His ‘It’s All A Blur Tour’ In Toronto

It’s ironic that Drake’s It’s All A Blur Tour with 21 Savage holds that title because Drake has been putting his “eagle eyes” to work during each show, catching bras and comforting fans based upon what their signs say. In August, Drake encouraged someone whose girlfriend cheated. In September, he gave a fan $50,000 after seeing a sign reading, “Drake I spent my furniture money on your two shows” (as per Billboard). But what happened on Friday night (October 6), the day of his For All The Dogs release, may be the most touching of all his gestures thus far.

In a video captured by someone in attendance at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, the first of Drake’s back-to-back hometown shows, Drake pauses to recognize a fan’s sign. “This one’s important to me,” he says in the video (circulated by Complex). “Here sign says, ‘I just found out I have MS [multiple sclerosis]. Will you help make my night?”

He continued, “You know, my brother [Noah] 40 [Shebib] is one of the strongest people on Earth, and he fights through a lot of things. So, what I’m gonna do is, I’m gonna connect you with 40, first of all. Maybe y’all can have a conversation. And second of all, I’m gonna pay whatever it takes to get you the best help in the world. I promise you that. You got my word. And you can come back tomorrow night!”

Shebib, Drake’s longtime engineer and producer, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at 22 years old — something Pusha T insensitively mocked in his 2018 diss track, “The Story Of Adidon” — which he opened up about in a 2020 Rolling Stone profile by Charles Holmes, who relayed “40 says that much of what allows him to move through the world — his eyes, ears, nose, fingers, toes — could stop working at any time.”

Health is also a priority for Drake. Around the release of For All The Dogs, he shared on his Table For One show on SiriusXM’s Sound 42 that he plans to take a break from music “for a little bit” because “I’ve been having the craziest problems, for years, with my stomach.”

“I need to focus on my health, and I need to get right, and I’m gonna do that,” he said, adding, “I have a lot of other things that I would love to focus on, so I’m going to lock the door on the studio for a little bit. I don’t know what ‘a little bit’ is. Maybe a year or something. Maybe a little bit longer.”

At the very least, fans can expect to see him back at Scotiabank Arena on Saturday night (October 7). The It’s All A Blur Tour also has five postponed tour dates yet to be rescheduled.

That Cole Bennett-Directed Drake Video Has Finally Arrived, And It’s For ‘Another Late Night’ Featuring Lil Yachty

Hours before For All The Dogs arrived, Drake set the table by releasing “8AM In Charlotte” alongside an adorable video co-starring his nearly six-year-old son, Adonis, who happens to be the artist of the album’s cover art. And tonight (October 6), Drake served fans some dessert to cap off an eventful release day: The video for “Another Late Night” featuring Lil Yachty, directed by Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett.

Bennett directed and edited the three-minute video, shot in Maple Ridge in Vancouver, Canada. It has a Christmas-adjacent theme. A Christmas carol is the first sound we hear, followed by someone saying, “Christmas came early.” Christmas lights are everywhere, fully coating a luxurious car, while Lil Boat and Drake’s bars beam bright into the night.

On October 1 — the 10-year anniversary of Lyrical Lemonade — Bennett detailed his first-ever collaboration with Drake while visiting with Kids Take Over — putting fans on high alert.

“Drake had a few off-days in Vancouver, and he wanted to shoot a video while he was out there,” the prolific director said. “We’re working on a few different projects right now, one of which was to knock something out in Vancouver. With an artist of his size, you have to be aware of — you know, just, we looked at a few locations in Vancouver, it was a little hot. … The Maple Ridge location felt the most tucked away and ducked off, and it was surrounded by trees, and it just felt like the safest place to do it.”

He added, “I’ve known [Drake] for a few years. We’ve talked about working for a few years now, and I just knew it was gonna be when the time was right. I was supposed to do the ‘Search & Rescue‘ video.”

While this marks the first time Bennett and Drake have professionally linked, Bennett previously directed Lil Yachty’s videos for “Poland” and “Strike (Holster).”

Drake celebrated For All The Dogs by performing his It’s All A Blur Tour at his hometown Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, where he’ll return for another show on Saturday night (October 7).

What Did Drake Say About His Stomach Problems?

Few people can relate to Drake’s career achievements, but we know we share at least one thing in common with the record-breaking chart-topper: A stomach ache can still bring him to his knees.

On Friday, October 6, Drake finally released his For All The Dogs album, and, as is the case with every Drake project, the rest of the day was consumed by people dissecting everything about it. But Drake fans might want to especially savor this ritual because For All The Dogs could be his last drop for a while.

“I probably won’t make music for a little bit,” Drake said on his Table For One show on SiriusXM’s Sound 42. “I’mma be real with you. I need to focus on my health, first and foremost, and I’ll talk about that soon enough. Nothing crazy, but I want people to be healthy in life, and I’ve been having the craziest problems, for years, with my stomach.”

He added, “I need to focus on my health, and I need to get right, and I’m gonna do that. […] I have a lot of other things that I would love to focus on, so I’m going to lock the door on the studio for a little bit. I don’t know what ‘a little bit’ is. Maybe a year or something. Maybe a little bit longer.”

In February, Drake told Lil Yachty that he had started contemplating what his rap retirement may eventually look like, and an excerpt of what he had to say then can be read below:

“I feel like I’m kind of introducing the concept in my mind of a graceful exit. I feel like a lot of people that I’ve watched as the years have gone on, it’s a really addictive, competitive space, and oftentimes, you’re addicted to the competition itself. And so, sometimes it’ll baffle you. Like, why are these people still making attempts at trying to present in the space? And then you’ll realize, like, their needs and desires and their soul was probably fed for so long off of being a guy or the guy that they can’t let it go.

I guess what’s left for me is just to find a way to gracefully — like, I’m not ready now, but to gracefully continue making projects that are extremely interesting and hopefully cherished by people, and then to find the right time to say, ‘I can’t wait to see what the next generation does.’ I’ll still be around to work with people or do a show here or there, but I’m not going to force myself to compete.”

J Cole’s Manager Shouts Out His New Collab With Drake

Overnight Drake released his highly-anticipated new album For All The Dogs. The project seems to have delivered everything fans could want. It has plenty of intrigue with both listed features and behind-the-scenes contributors. 21 Savage, SZA, Bad Bunny, Lil Yachty, Chief Keef, Yeat, Teezo Touchdown, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and Sexyy Red all make appearances on the album. Even more big names find themselves being called out to varying degrees of disses.

Another artist who appears on the project is J Cole. He makes an appearance on the track “First Person Shooter” which is already emerging as a fan favorite. It’s the third time the pair have teamed up on record following Cole’s song “In The Morning” and Drake’s single “Jodeci Freestyle.” Earlier today, Cole’s manager made a tweet about the new track. “I would tweet a link to promote the new tuneee by Drizzy & Cole but I’m assuming by this point you already know it’s out. Enjoy this moment because it’s rare to see two people who’s been so great for so long still be this good. Also enjoy this album cause that boy Drake special,” his post reads.

J Cole’s Manager Speaks On Drake Collab

Last week, Cole teamed up with Lil Yachty for a new track called “The Secret Recipe.” On the song he delivers some lyrics that many interpreted as shots at NBA Youngboy. Even though Cole’s manager denied that they were about Youngboy, Cole had even more to say about the rapper on “First Person Shooter.”

On the new song, Cole addresses the rumors of beef. He clarifies that despite the public impression, he still wanted to make a song with Youngboy. Judging by how the rapper has responded to Cole’s repeated mentions, that doesn’t seem like it’ll happen any time soon. Youngboy quickly responded to both the times he was mentioned. Pet Shop Boys Claimed Drake Used ‘West End Girls’ On ‘For All The Dogs’ Without Their Permission

For All The Dogs is finally out and while plenty of Drake fans have been celebrating the release, some of his fellow stars are not so happy to hear the new LP — namely, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, the English synth-pop duo known as Pet Shop Boys. On Twitter (because “X” is a dumb name) they have claimed that Drake’s album used a portion of one of their own songs uncredited and without permission.

“Surprising to hear @Drake singing the chorus of ‘West End Girls’ in the track ‘All The Parties’ on his new album,” they wrote. “No credit given or permission requested.” On Tidal, the listed lyricists include A. Graham (Drake himself), B. Saint Ford, H. Arsenault, M. Bidaye, and M. Samuels, with placeholders for producers Coleman, Fierce, and J Dolla (the list likely being submitted at the last minute without getting the producers’ legal names). Tennant and Lowe are not included.

On “All The Parties,” which features Chief Keef and potentially disses fellow Toronto star The Weeknd according to fan speculation, Drake croons, “And it’s 6, our town a dead end world / East End boys and West End girls.” This is pretty much word for word the chorus of “West End Girls,” comprised of the refrain “In a West End town, a dead end world / The East End boys and West End girls.”

If it’s true that Drake went ahead and included the lyrics without permission, he could soon come to regret his habit of finishing up albums at the last minute and releasing this one without getting his ducks in a row.

Seemingly Thanks To Drake, 21 Savage Will Reportedly Leave The US For The First Time In Years For The ‘It’s All A Blur Tour’

As rapped in his cult-classic song “Know Yourself,” Drake enjoyed riding around his hometown, Toronto, Canada (or the 6), with his woes. According to TMZ, fellow rapper and collaborator 21 Savage might be riding shotgun with him soon. The outlet has reported that 21 Savage will appear at both Toronto dates (October 6 and 7) of the It’s All A Blur Tour.

The joint tour initially kicked off in July. However, due to 21 Savage’s immigration case, he hasn’t been allowed to perform during the international dates. When the tour made a two-night stop (August 29 and 30) in Vancouver, Travis Scott filled in as a special guest. Before that, J. Cole did the honors for the Montreal shows on July 14 and 15.

On Drake’s new single, “8AM In Charlotte,” he hinted that 21 Savage’s immigration issues were nearly behind him, rapping, “Savage got a green card straight out of the consulate / Where I go, you go, brother, we Yugoslavian.” The legal battle began in 2019 when 21 Savage (real name Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph) was arrested by Immigration And Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents for overstaying his visa in addition to possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of a gun.

Many entertainers, including Jay-Z, Meek Mill, and more, have thrown their support behind 21 Savage as he continues to fight to gain US citizenship.
