Drake Spotted In Turks & Caicos Following Tumultuous Summer

Drake is one of the biggest artists in the world. However, the last few months have been pretty difficult for him on numerous fronts. For instance, the artist is currently garnering a ton of flack for how he handled his beef with Kendrick Lamar. Following his loss, the artist has dropped a ton of music. Although, it seems like the music is not resonating. He is struggling to chart, and there are some fans out there who just cannot look at him the same.

Overall, it is going to be hard for him to get back his “cool factor” especially when you consider the devastating bars all throughout songs like “Meet The Grahams” and “Not Like Us.” With that being said, one could make the argument that Drizzy is definitely in need of some sort of vacation. Well, it seems like that is exactly what he is doing right now. According to a new post from DJ Akademiks, Drake was spotted in Turks & Caicos which has always been his favorite destination.

One has to wonder what the artist’s moves will be when he returns from this vacation. It seems as though a new album is out of the question right now. However, you never know with Drake. In 2022, he surprised fans when he dropped off Honestly, Nevermind. Perhaps we could see another similar surprise later this year. Although for now, it would appear as though fans are asking Drake to finally take a break, something he hasn’t done in over a decade.

Let us know what you think of Drake and the summer he had, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that the artist would be better off taking an extended break for the time being? DJ Akademiks Claims Drake Denied Sending Cease And Desist To Kendrick Lamar

Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar is a battle that is technically over. The two rappers went at it, and Lamar was crowned the winner. It was an all time battle, and both rappers came to play. The thing is, things have yet to completely blow over. Both camps have alluded to there being more disses around the corner, and Dot may very well close out his Super Bowl Halftime Show by playing his number one diss, “Not Like Us.” It’s been theorized that Drake send a cease and desist to keep the Compton rapper from doing. But Drake’s biggest fan, DJ Akademiks, is calling cap.

The hip hop personality claimed to have exclusive Drake information during his Monday night stream. He told his followers that the 6 God reached out to him personally regarding the rumor. “According to Drake himself, it’s not true,” Akademiks claimed. The DJ could sense that some followers would call him out for taking Drizzy’s side, but he made it very clear that he got this info on good authority. “Drake himself told me… A cease and desist means you have to send it to the person.” He then goes on to note that Drizzy got a cease and desist from Tupac’s estate for the song “Taylor Made Freestyle,” and can prove that he received it.

Drake Allegedly Challenged K. Dot’s Team To Show Proof

What Drake and DJ Akademiks posit is that if the former sent a cease and desist to Kendrick Lamar, then Lamar’s team can prove it by making the cease and desist public. The accusations leveled at Drake don’t make any difference without prove that’s very easy to produce. Or at least, should be if the rumor is true. “He tells me, ‘If I sent a cease and desist, tell them people to put it out’,” Akademiks added. As of right now, there’s no evidence to suggest that the Toronto rapper has tried to block the performance of “Not Like Us” at the Halftime Show. It hasn’t even been confirmed that Lamar will perform the song.

Despite being months away, the Halftime Show has already generated tons of industry rumors. Fivio Foreign hopped on social media and claimed that Kendrick Lamar was actually going to use the Super Bowl to squash the Drake beef. He claimed that the Compton rapper would bring out hometown hero Lil Wayne, who would then bring out Drizzy. Foreign didn’t provide any evidence or sources. Given that both rappers still appear to be at each other’s throats, we think the chances of seeing this happen are slim to none.

Wack 100 Claims Lil Wayne Won’t Perform At Super Bowl But Will Pop Out With Drake Instead

We can’t remember the last time that a Super Bowl halftime show was so anticipated by the public for so many different reasons. Many are just excited to see Kendrick Lamar headline the performance, whereas some will still have Lil Wayne and Drake in the back of their heads. Amid the controversy over Weezy’s omission from the New Orleans stage, many fans and media figures have different takes on whether or not they think Kendrick will bring him out. Wack 100 recently offered his two cents on the matter on No Jumper, and while his words are a bit vague, he claimed that fans shouldn’t get their hopes up for that exact reunion.

“There’s no Wayne tripping when Kendrick comes to Drake,” Wack 100 began. “No, they all cool anyway. I’ma just keep it happy right now. Hopefully, Wayne will come out behind Drake in New Orleans with this situation. I don’t think he will do it. No, [Lil Wayne is not coming out]. I know what’s going on. He coming out, but not on that stage. He coming out halftime, but not on that, still. I know what’s going on.”

Wack 100’s Latest Claim About Kendrick Lamar, Drake & Lil Wayne

Of course, the biggest argument against Kendrick Lamar inviting Lil Wayne as a special guest is the Drake beef. But there are even some people who think that the “Not Like Us” and “Family Matters” MCs will bury the hatchet at the Super Bowl. Fivio Foreign is one of the proponents of this theory that, if true, would probably make for one of the oddest and most divisive hip-hop moments of the contemporary era. Still, it doesn’t change the fact that a lot of people want Tunechi to receive his due flowers in his home city come February 9, 2025.

Meanwhile, here’s what NOLA native Big Freedia told TMZ when they asked about the Kendrick Lamar and Lil Wayne situation. “New Orleans is definitely sad that Lil Wayne is not the headliner,” he expressed. “I think that they should have had some Southern artists for sure on the ticket. You know, I think the Cash Money and No Limit family should’ve definitely been involved. But who knows what’s going to happen with the days ahead? I think [Kendrick inviting Wayne] would be a great gesture. And I think it would be a nice thing for Kendrick Lamar to do. I think he would definitely, you know, get his love from Louisiana and from down South if he was to make that happen.

ASAP Bari Says “It Can Never Be Over For Drake” After Kendrick Lamar Battle

At this point, any mention of the Kendrick Lamar and Drake battle this year probably sounds nauseating to you. But folks continue to debate and discuss it with a lot of fervor, especially now that we are seeing the outcome of it play out. Some fans just wanted a great lyrical exchange, others demanded proof and for whoever was the most “right” or “correct” to win, and a select few wanted the winner to destroy the loser’s career. That last possibility was never a reasonable end scenario either way, and during an appearance on the No Funny S**t program, ASAP Bari said that it’s not over for Drake.

“Nah, it can never be over for Drake. Drake is Drake,” A$AP Bari posited. “Hell no, hell no. It can never be over for Drake, honestly. I just feel like – Well, I was mad at the point of, like… I feel like, you know, if you gon’ start some s**t, finish it, you feel me? But that’s what we from. We from Harlem, we from New York, just period. You know, I’ma start a fight, I’ma finish it, you feel me? Nah, I feel like it was something that ticked him off and he wasn’t trying to take it that far. You understand?

ASAP Bari On Drake

“But, you know, I don’t think it’s over, you feel me?” A$AP Bari continued. “The fighting ain’t over until you see a n***a fall down, you feel me? So he could probably just be sitting back seeing what’s going on, and the rounds could go back, you feel me? There could be a part two, you feel me? I think they should’ve went down for three rounds. You lost the first round, let’s see what goes the second round, you feel me? Drake is the GOAT, man. Hell no, never over Hov.”

For those unaware, A$AP Bari does have some alleged issues with A$AP Rocky, and we all know how he and Drake feel about each other. But Bari is still correct in assessing that to count the Toronto superstar out entirely is an illusion. Round 2 is out of the question, but he’s enough of a hitmaker to brush a loss off.

Meek Mill Doubles Down On His Kendrick Lamar Versus Drake Stance

Meek Mill is one of many artists who have given their take on the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef without outright participating in it, which is honestly harder than it sounds. After all, most people remember Rick Ross’ hilarious IG roasts of The Boy more than they do his “Champagne Moments” diss track. Nevertheless, Meek’s never been one to take either side ever since “Like That” dropped, instead choosing to praise both artists. “Nah I f**k with drake he cool,” he responded to a fan’s inquiry on Friday (September 20). “Him and Kendrick beef has nothing to do with me I fw k dot too I have all their disses on my playlist right now.”

Of course, this is pretty ironic given Meek Mill’s squashed beef with Drake and his place among the ten rappers that Kendrick Lamar competitively challenged on “Control” 11 years ago. But as he indicated in this latest tweet, he’s just a fan of the back-and-forth hip-hop displays that these two rivals engaged in this year, dropping freestyles of his own for both “euphoria” and “Family Matters.”

Meek Mill Is A Fan, He’s A Fan, He’s A Fan (Of Both Kendrick Lamar & Drake)

But as you probably already know, Meek Mill’s social media presence became much more notable in past months for reasons completely unrelated to the Kendrick Lamar and Drake battle. His alleged connection to the Diddy scandal, whether as an alleged victim or alleged participant, resulted in a lot of jokes, jabs, and attacks that came his way online. “I will personally give you a million dollars if these stories add up in anything weird …” the Philly rapper tweeted frustratedly on Thursday night (September 19). “it’s 2 things we can’t do in the trenches … it’s no way yall know what type of man I am. #cybertruck at 12 tap in lil buddy!”

Meanwhile, as for the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef, it looks like Meek Mill and the rest of us can finally deem it dead and buried. Now, most of the conversation that puts them in opposition to each other revolves around K.Dot’s Super Bowl halftime show and whether or not this was a direct jab at Young Money. But as far as the bars that Meek and so many of us love, there are no Round 2s.

Charlamagne Tha God Makes Bold Claim About Drake Super Bowl Rumors After Kendrick Lamar Announcement

Charlamagne Tha God and Andrew Schulz – via their Brilliant Idiots podcast – recently spoke on the rumors that Drake has been offered the Super Bowl halftime show before, which were sparked after Kendrick Lamar announced his headlining slot in New Orleans next year and its ensuing Lil Wayne controversy. “And by the way, I hope Drake isn’t doing corny s**t like leaking that, ‘Well, you know, I got offered the Super Bowl a bunch of times and I turned it down,’” Charlamagne kicked his remarks off. “Nobody believes that. I hope Drake isn’t going around saying that. Because why wouldn’t you do the Super Bowl? Of course you would.

“If you took the time to write a rap that says ‘Big as the Super Bowl,’ then you understand the magnitude of the Super Bowl and you would absolutely do the Super Bowl,” Charlamagne Tha God theorized. “I don’t believe that. Let’s just say, hypothetically, he did get offered. That right there dispels all of the Internet rumors about Jay-Z hating on Drake, then. Stupid motherf***ers. ‘Cause everybody was saying, ‘Jay-Z hates Drake, Jay-Z hates Drake.’ So if he offered him the Super Bowl four years in a row and he turned it down, is that hate?

Charlamagne Tha God Speaks On Drake Super Bowl Rumors

“So clearly, Jay-Z’s not hating on nobody,” Charlamagne Tha God continued. “He’s helped Wayne, he’s ‘offered’ Drake the Super Bowl, which I don’t even believe. I don’t believe that happened. But let’s just say hypothetically that he did. [He either offered you the Super Bowl] or he’s hating. He liked the post about Cam saying, ‘I guess Jay was hating.’ He didn’t say Jay, he just said one person is hating, he never said who it was. I saw [Drake] like the post. So if you liked the post – I forgot what site he was on. But if you liked the post and then you turn around and say you’ve been invited to do the Super Bowl and you turned it down? Like, eh.

“Unless he was invited before [Jay-Z became the curator] of the halftime show, but I don’t know,” Charlamange Tha God concluded. “I don’t believe that. Let’s be clear. There was no rap at the Super Bowl halftime shows before Jay-Z. You had very, very, very safe rap artists who hit that stage as part of ensembles. The only one I can remember is Nelly. That’s literally the only one I can remember.”

50 Cent Divulges His Thoughts On Kendrick Lamar Super Bowl Halftime Show & Drake Beef

The world is still talking about all things Kendrick Lamar and Drake, bolstered by the former’s new song and his Super Bowl halftime show announcement. There are many debates on the table: the supposed existence of a “Round 2,” the Lil Wayne controversy, and the general back-and-forth fanbase war between these two artists. One mediator of sorts with ties to both parties is 50 Cent, who previously seemed to take the 6ix God’s side in all this. But during his recent appearance on The Talk as a special guest, he spoke on all of these aspects and made it clear that he’s got a lot of love on both sides of the aisle.

“I mean, it was a choice,” 50 Cent said of Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl slot, which he thinks he fully deserves. “As a solo artist right now, he’s the guy.” In addition, he also stated that he understands why people wanted to see Lil Wayne take the big stage in New Orleans next year. However, Fif proposed that K.Dot should bring out some of his collaborators, hinting that he doesn’t think a Weezy guest spot is out of the question. Of course, Young Money loyalty would probably get in the way of that, but maybe a Drake beef isn’t as big as the Super Bowl.

50 Cent Speaks On Kendrick Lamar & Drake

As for the actual battle between Kendrick Lamar and Drake, 50 Cent called it “good for the culture.” “Both Drake and Kendrick produced quality music faster because they had to compete with each other,” he posited. “That competitive nature made them go work and have responses. Hip-hop is still – it’s not just a genre where you can just make a song and sit back. You have to make a song and be ready to make a song again right away with other artists.”

Meanwhile, Lil Wayne recently gave a statement on this Super Bowl debacle. “It made me feel like s**t not getting this opportunity,” he expressed in a video. “And when I felt like s**t, you guys reminded me that I ain’t s**t without y’all. And that’s an amazing reality. So, like I said, it broke me. And I’m just trying to put me back together. But, my God, have you all helped me. Thanks to all my peers, my friends, my family, my homies on sports television and everybody repping me. I really appreciate that, I really do. I feel like I let all of y’all down by not getting that opportunity. But I’m working on me and I’m working. Thank you.”

Ben Stiller’s Favorite Kendrick Lamar Song Is A Drake Diss

Over the weekend, Kendrick Lamar announced that he’ll be headlining the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. The performance will take place in February of this year in New Orleans, and the announcement has earned mixed reactions from social media users. While many are excited to see Kendrick take the stage, others believe that the slot should have gone to hometown icon Lil Wayne.

As a result, Jay-Z and Roc Nation have been receiving a great deal of backlash. Regardless, at least one person is looking forward to the show, Ben Stiller. The actor hopped on Twitter/X earlier this week to share his reaction to the news. “Yes,” he wrote simply, making it clear that he approves.

Of course, Stiller’s brief reaction prompted fans to ask him some follow-up questions, including what his favorite Kendrick song is. According to him, it’s “Euphoria,” Kendrick’s iconic response to Drake’s “Push Ups.” It’s certainly a fan favorite out of Kendrick’s Drake disses and appears to prove that Stiller sided with Kendrick amid the lyrical battle.

While Stiller may be overjoyed about Kendrick’s upcoming performance, others continue to express outrage that Lil Wayne wasn’t picked. There may be more to the story than what meets the eye, however. During a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Budden claimed that he had some serious tea about the decision. “I’m hearing that there was an event where something happened backstage,” he hinted before saying the tea was simply “too hot” to spill. What do you think of Ben Stiller revealing that his favorite Kendrick Lamar song is his Drake diss “Euphoria”? Are you surprised by this or not? What’s your personal favorite? Kendrick Lamar Warned Drake Before Dropping Diss Tracks, Joe Budden Claims

It goes without saying that Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s lyrical battle was one of the most explosive hip-hop fans have seen in a while. Apparently, however, Kendrick could have given Drake a warning before things popped off. During a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Budden shared this theory,. According to him, he heard K.Dot gave Drizzy a call before any of their diss tracks were released.

“I also heard that Drake and Kendrick had a talk before any diss record was released,” he explained. “I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I heard they spoke.” As for how the conversation itself actually went, Budden says Kendrick told Drake to keep it light. Clearly, that’s not at all how the situation played out.

Joe Budden On Drake & Kendrick Lamar’s Beef

“It went like the Teddy Pendergrass part of the sh*t,” he said. “‘Hey, how do you want this to go?’” Ultimately, Kendrick Lamar dropped what many believe to be the song of the summer. On “Not Like Us,” he accuses Drake and his OVO crew of being “certified pedophiles” and much more. Now that Kendrick has been announced as the headliner for the 2025 Super Bowl, there have been some questions as to whether or not he’ll be performing it in its entirety.

Obviously, it’s what most fans probably want to hear Kendrick perform live at this point, considering how big it’s been in recent months. Some people like Charlamagne Tha God, however, suspect that Drake has already threatened to take legal action if this is allowed. For now, it remains to be seen how the performance goes. What do you think of Joe Budden claiming he heard that Kendrick Lamar and Drake talked before their battle? Are you surprised by this rumor or not? Do you believe it? Adin Ross Rips Into Jack Dorsey For Supporting Kendrick Lamar Against Drake

The Kendrick Lamar and Drake battle divided all your favorite pop culture randoms who have absolutely nothing to do with hip-hop, or at least, very little. Twitter’s former CEO Jack Dorsey was over the moon when he heard that Kendrick will headline the Super Bowl, as he’s been supporting him against Drizzy this whole time. Adin Ross, a strong OVO ally, chose to clown Dorsey’s recent tweet about the matter: “‘big as the superbowl.’” The streamer was live when he theorized as to why Jack is so mad at the 6ix God and mocked that he’s no longer in charge of Twitter – sorry, “X.”

“That’s why he’s not the CEO anymore and that’s why Elon Musk is doing a way better job than him,” Adin Ross ranted on his stream “Allowing freedom of speech and s**t. I don’t give a f**k, bro, this f***ing libt**d. I don’t care, I said it, I said it, I said it. He banned Trump, and now Trump owns this app. This f***ing quill-fest app. Yo, Elon Musk did what Jack couldn’t do. I don’t care, it’s better now. X is way better now. It’s owned by somebody who supports Trump, thank God. We needed that. And Drake f***ed your wife!”

Adin Ross Roasts Jack Dorsey

Furthermore, many people have speculated as to why Jack Dorsey seems to dislike Drake so passionately. Adin Ross revealed one of them, which is some typical relationship drama stuff. The other is about the Toronto superstar allegedly pulling out of a TIDAL partnership at the last minute. No matter what’s actually true, though, Ross and many other OVO Stans went full cuckoo with this Super Bowl announcement and with everyone else happy for Kendrick Lamar. It’s just a tweet, man…

Meanwhile, Adin Ross’ loyalty to Drake is well-documented. He recently previewed a collaboration between him and Lil Durk that left him satisfied. We’ll see what other random comments and fights people choose to engage in with this whole Super Bowl business. Leave it to a rap beef and a further polarized hip-hop fanbase to turn every little thing into a sales battle, a d**k-measuring contest, or a full-on attack.
