Rick Ross Questions Donald Trump Supporters: “I Just Don’t Want Nobody To Be Delusional”

Rick Ross addressed supporters of former President Donald Trump in a recent video circulating on social media. In doing so, he brought up the narrative about the economy being better before Joe Biden took office. He asked his followers whether they were truly doing better at the time or they had just been stealing money.

“Let’s make it clear, you vote for who you wanna vote for, it’s fine with me, but one of my homies, he was just like, ‘I can’t wait ’til Trump get back in here. He had a n**ga eatin’.’ And I just don’t want nobody to be a delusional. You can’t be a delusional n**ga. Did he have you eating or was it a nationwide, worldwide pandemic and you n**gas stole the money?”

When TheHipHopWolf posted Ross’ rant on Instagram, fans had mixed reactions. Many defended Ross’ take, such as one who added: “Not only that it was congress that gave the stimulus not Trump.” Others took to the former President’s defense, with one writing: “Voting for Trump don’t care bout none of that. Biden ran the country to the ground.” More fans complained about Ross even speaking on politics in the first place. Check out Ross’ post about Donald Trump on Instagram below.

It’s not the first time Ross has commented on politics. We gon’ give some people opportunities, we gon’ give some people raises and, of course, we gon’ have to clean some people out,” he said at the time. Snoop Dogg Has ‘Nothing But Love And Respect’ For Donald Trump After Previously Calling Him A ‘Punk’

Snoop Dogg, who once pointed a fake gun at a clown dressed as Donald Trump, now has “nothing but love and respect” for the former president.

In an interview with the Times, the rapper said, “Donald Trump? He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris.” Harris is one of the founders of Death Row Records, which released legendary albums like Dr. Dre’s The Chronic, 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me, and Snoop’s Doggystyle. He spent over 30 years behind the bars on attempted murder and cocaine trafficking charges before being pardoned by Trump.

The Times brought up an Instagram post from 2012 where Snoop listed the reasons why he was voting Barack Obama, and just as importantly, not voting for Ted Lasso-loving Republican candidate Mitt Romney. Will he do the same thing for Biden vs. Trump round two. “I may have to,” he said. “Because there are mixed views on that, so I want to see what the people say…”

Snoop has previously been far less complementary about Trump (who once mocked the rapper’s “failing career” on then-Twitter). In 2018, he exclaimed “f*ck the president” while smoking weed outside the White House; two years later, during the 2020 election, he said, “I ain’t never voted a day in my life, but this year I think I’m going to get out and vote because I can’t stand to see this punk in office one more year.” He even shared an image on social media calling November 9, 2016, the day Trump won the election over Hillary Clinton, the second worst day in American history — after September 11th.

Snoop Dogg Says Donald Trump Has His “Love & Respect” For Pardon

Snoop Dogg recently doubled down on his goodwill for Donald Trump during a recent interview with The Times, and if you weren’t already aware, this isn’t his first rodeo when it comes to this support. “Donald Trump? He ain’t done nothing wrong to me,” he shared. “He has done only great things for me.” Specifically, Tha Doggfather referred to the disgraced former president’s pardon of Death Row Records co-founder Michael “Harry-O” Harris, one of his last acts before he left office in January of 2021. “So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump,” he concluded.

Furthermore, this is what the Long Beach legend had to say a couple of years ago when news of this pardon broke. “That’s great work for the president and his team on the way out,” Snoop Dogg expressed. “They did some great work while they was in there and they did some great work on their way out. Let them know that I love what they did. It is amazing what the work of God can actually bring to life to make people understand that there is a God.”

Snoop Dogg Doubles Down On Donald Trump Praise

However, Snoop Dogg wasn’t always a fan of Donald Trump. “So, me and my homeboys sittin’ up here talkin’ about all the people that President Trump disrespected,” he recalled in September of 2020. “Women, gays, transgender people, Blacks, Mexicans, Asians, and now veterans. Hm. Seems like he’s disrespecting every color in the world and everything that ain’t what he is, which is a racist. With that being said, the people that voted for him got exactly what they wanted. They gave them what he said he was gon’ do. So, the next motherf***er, you better tell us what we gon’ get for your vote. You better show up and deliver, period. We just want some peace, love, equality, and tranquility for everybody. All lives. Just basic conversation. Now carry on.”

If you didn’t already know that Snoop changed his mind because of Trump’s pardon -– which doesn’t excuse his politics -– then you might see this as part of a recent wave of endorsements for him. Benny The Butcher recently caught flack for his support, which he explained in an interview with The Breakfast Club. Whether you agree with this forgiveness or not, it’s clear that the West Coast MC is speaking from a wholly personal perspective, and not that which he employed in the past to speak on the criminal. Waka Flocka Flame Asks Donald Trump To Abolish Columbus Day

Waka Flocka Flame called on Donald Trump to abolish Columbus Day on Twitter, Saturday. In doing so, he labeled celebrations of the holiday a “spit in our faces.” In response to the post, many fans questioned why he asked Trump, when Joe Biden is the current President of the United States. It’s also a strange time for the request, considering the day is celebrated on October 12.

“Dear Trump abolish Christopher Columbus Day… As a what’s called Blackman in United States this holiday is a spit in our faces… Thanks from Waka Flocka Flame and the People!!!” he wrote on the platform. The holiday is often also recognized as Indigenous Peoples Day, paying respect to the contributions and resilience of Indigenous peoples.

Plies Calls Out Donald Trump And His Supporters Celebrating Iowa Caucus Win

Plies has called Donald Trump supporters celebrating the former President’s win in Iowa. “🗣🗣Dear America: Why Aren’t Trump & MAGA Not Saying The “IOWA CAUCUS” Was Rigged??? 🤷🏾‍♂️ When They “WIN” It’s Legit When They “LOSE” It’s “Rigged”… VERY NASTY, DELUSIONAL & DISHONEST PEOPLE!!!” Plies tweeted. Trump won the Iowa Caucus in dominant fashion, winning 51% of the vote. Ron DeSantis finished second with 21% of the vote. Many people have claimed that the result has already ended the primary season, seeing the result of as a sign of what the Republican voter base wants.

Speaking of “Fake News”, Trump has been fighting claims that he “bullied” his way into a cameo in Home Alone 2. “I was very busy, and didn’t want to do it. They were very nice, but above all, persistent. I agreed, and the rest is history!” Trump wrote on Truth Social. The brief moment, in which Kevin McCallister runs into Trump and asks for directions, was filmed in the lobby of the then-Trump-owned Plaza Hotel. Trump then went on to claim that his brief cameo was the driving force of the film’s massive success.

Donald Trump Removed From Maine Ballot

Meanwhile, in December 2023, the Maine’s Secretary of State has announced that Donald Trump has been removed from next year’s Presidential primary ballot. Shenna Bellows cited a Civil War-era clause of the 14th Amendment that bars “insurrectionists” from running for President. If the ruling stands, Maine will become the second state to remove Trump from the ballot. Earlier in December, the Colorado Supreme Court excluded Trump from the state’s ballot using the same precedent. However, Bellows became the first elected official to disbar Trump from the ballot.

However, whether these rulings will stand will likely depend on the Supreme Court. SCOTUS has never had to rule on Amendment 14, Section 3 before. But with states seemingly exercising their constitutional right, the court will likely intervene to have the final say. It will set up a fascinating battle between the court’s conservative leaning and many of the justices’ public stance as “constitutional absolutists”. No date has been set for SCOTUS to rule on the rights of states to disbar Trump on state ballots.

Benny The Butcher Explains Donald Trump Support & His “Frustration” With It

When Benny The Butcher tweeted “I’m votin Trump 2024,” many fans hoped that someone had hacked his account. However, he dodged a question about it during a podcast appearance shortly after, which got fans even more worried. Even though we shouldn’t hold anyone to any standard based solely on their political opinion, listeners simply wanted a more elaborate explanation as to why. Well, they just got it, as the Black Soprano Family boss appeared on The Breakfast Club for a wide-ranging interview. Moreover, he reflected a little bit more than last time about what that tweet means to him, and whether he stands by it today.

“People in our position ain’t supposed to speak on their political candidates,” Benny The Butcher expressed. “I also learned everybody voting for Trump, you know what I’m saying? Only president I voted for was Obama, so I really was just talking s**t. A lot of times, African Americans, we vote Democrat, and what the f**k that been doing for us? That’s all I mean, like, what the Democrats been doing for us? I was expressing my frustrations on that. I don’t know who I’m voting for.”

Benny The Butcher Joins The Breakfast Club: Watch

The Trump conversation begins around the 21:30-minute mark.

Of course, this is far from the only hip-hop endorsement of Donald Trump, although it might be among the most unexpected. But Benny The Butcher’s words ring true for many typically blue voters in the U.S. who haven’t seen much to praise from either political party. Perhaps this isn’t the forum to get into that, but it’s an important reality to acknowledge as both groups head into what will likely be a destructive and chaotic election year. It will be very curious to see how public opinion on these matters evolves throughout the year, especially within artistic fields like rap music, in this case.

Meanwhile, the “BRON” MC will likely be one of those millions of citizens who will weigh their options up to November. Maybe he will also take this experience and run with it, perhaps chiming in with some political commentary every once in a while. Some want to keep these worlds separate for understandable reasons, but we need these conversations to happen at every level across pop culture, everyday life, and all communities who will be very impacted by whoever sits in the Oval Office. For more news and the latest updates on Benny The Butcher, keep checking in with HNHH.

Kodak Black May Be Forced To Serve Jail Sentence Originally Pardoned By Donald Trump

Plenty of strange happened between the world of politics and hip-hop during the Trump era. From his on-stage appearance with Lil Pump where he famously mistook his name for Lil Pimp to Kanye West being invited to the Whitehouse which spawned numerous meme worthy moments. But one of the most interesting moments came when Trump faced pressure from the hip-hop community to commute the sentence of Kodak Black. He eventually caved to that pressure and Kodak was released.

But following recent legal trouble Kodak Black may end up having to serve that sentence anyway. Last month, Kodak was found in his car with the engine still running and signs of alcohol, marijuana, and cocaine present. As a result he was arrested and charged with a number of crimes, headlined by cocaine possession. He’s been in jail ever since and will remain there for two more weeks until a hearing to evaluate reinstating his previously commuted sentence. According to AllHipHop, that hearing is due to take place on January 22. It could result in the sentence that Trump delayed being served anyway.

Kodak Black Could Serve Previously Commuted Sentence

After his arrest, Kodak’s lawyers filed for a 90-Day drug treatment program. It was an attempt to try and help the rapper overcome addiction issues. But it was only a few days later that the judge shut down that proposal. In his decision he described Kodak as a “danger to the community.”

That decision came after Kodak’s lawyers attempted to dispute the cocaine charges. They claim that what police thought was cocaine was actually Percocets. Despite that claim, the judge wasn’t any more likely to allow him to enter the drug treatment program and hasn’t yet altered the original charges. Kodak released his last album When I Was Dead in November of last year. The project featured the hit song “Lemme See” which has more than 8 million streams on Spotify. What do you think of Kodak Black having to potentially serve a commuted sentence 4 years later? Let us know in the comment section below.
