DJ Envy was tracked down by TMZ in the airport and asked about the rash of theft and violence surrounding rappers and their jewelry. Envy advised all rappers to have some level of protection.

“When I do move with my jewelry, I move with protection,” Envy said. “Protection could be security, it could be self-protection or it could be just making sure I’m safe. When I do move in certain places, I leave my stuff at home. I got six kids and a wife, and I want to make sure I make it back to them.”

He added, “All this senseless killing over a watch is nothing. You took this man’s jewelry, and you will spend the rest of your days in jail. Most days it’s just my wedding band on.”

DJ Envy would go on to state that rappers aren’t the only target and businessmen and women are also on the block, citing everybody should be safe.

What Happened To ‘The Breakfast Club’ And What’s Next?

Last night, fans of The Breakfast Club radio show were nearly sent into a panic after longtime co-host Angela Yee posted a tweet implying that the New York-based show would be coming to an end: “The breakfast club as you know it is officially over,” her tweet read.

Her post left listeners divided, with some sad about the show coming to a potential end, many sharing clips of the show’s most iconic moments, while others celebrated the implied end of the show, calling the collective comprised of Yee, Charlamagne Tha God, and DJ Envy “toxic.”

What happened to The Breakfast Club and what’s next?

Yee clarified this morning on today’s episode that The Breakfast Club is not actually coming to an end, but she will, in fact, be leaving the show. She will later launch her own nationally syndicated daily program for iHeartRadio. She also confirmed that she won’t officially exit The Breakfast Club for at least another month.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will be called Way Up With Angela Yee, and will broadcast on over 30 iHeartMedia stations across the country. On the show, Yee will interact with celebrities and conduct interviews, while also discussing contemporary topics.

As of now, it is not confirmed whether Yee will be replaced on The Breakfast Club, or if Envy and Charlamagne will host the show by themselves.

Angela Yee Announces “The Breakfast Club As You Know It Is Officially Over,” Twitter Reacts

Is the Breakfast Club really ending or has the iconic morning radio show on New York’s Power 105.1 evolved into something grander?  One of the three hosts, Angela Yee took to social media on Tuesday night with a cryptic tweet revealing “The breakfast club as you know it is officially over.”

Neither one of her co-hosts, DJ Envy or Charlamagne Tha God responded or repost from their individual social media accounts and there was no word confirming from the radio show’s official social media page.

It wasn’t clear exactly what Yee meant but Twitter immediately jumped in with their thoughts on the situation.

‘The Breakfast Club’ Might Be Over, According To An Ominous Tweet From Angela Yee

The Breakfast Club is a popular New York-based hip-hop podcast hosted by Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God, and DJ Envy. It’s been drawing in a large audience since its inception in 2010, but now it seems like something is going to change.

Yee made an ominous tweet on Tuesday, writing, “The breakfast club as you know it is officially over.” Closing the post with the emoji of hands making a heart makes it less eerie, but fans are wondering what this means about the future of the show. Whether The Breakfast Club is ending or just making changes is unclear.

The Breakfast Club has not been without drama. Earlier this year, DaBaby used his time on their platform to defend himself from accusations of homophobia. “I didn’t mean what you think I meant,” he said. “What you want me to do? Go look myself in the mirror and say, ‘You don’t like gay people?’ Nah. I’m not trippin’ on gay people at all. If I said what I said to get people to raise they cell phones and it was misinterpreted by people who watch a five-second clip at home. You not supposed to understand what’s going on. You could raise your cell phone if you wanted to. You ain’t supposed to be able to digest a clip that’s been altered and shortened with a narrative to go along with it, with enough people driving it, it gonna do what it do.”

During an interview with The Shade Room, Power 105’s DJ Envy and his wife Gia Casey sat down to candidly discuss their “toxic” relationship, including Casey admitting that she’s faked orgasms for a decade during their intimacy.

Casey said, “We would be intimate and he would be putting his best foot forward like, he is in the business of satisfying just all around. He lives to make me happy, and he puts his best foot forward in that role.”  She then added, “So I would see him trying and really going to work, and I’m sure many women can relate, you want to reward that man for that work and the only reward that you have to offer is an orgasm. And even if I didn’t feel it, I would still be performative.”

The Breakfast Club host responded to Casey’s claims, saying,  “It hurt me because I thought I was pleasing my wife. You hear all these stories about women talking about their girlfriend ‘Oh girl he was so short, oh girl he ain’t doin’ nothin’, and I feel like they laughing, and now I feel like that’s what my wife is doing.”
