Diddy has been facing a plethora of allegations as of late. Overall, it all started with the Cassie lawsuit which took place back in November of 2023. Subsequently, more lawsuits came to the forefront, with numerous women accusing the music mogul of rape, sexual assault, abuse, and more. Eventually, Federal authorities raided the mogul’s home just a couple of months ago. Since then, they have been putting together a diligent investigation, that has since led to the formation of a Grand Jury.
On top of all of this, Diddy is facing scrutiny online in the form of resurfaced videos. Fans have been digging through the archives and have found clips that speak to some of the things the mogul has been accused of. For instance, a clip from The Breakfast Club was going viral last night, and you can see the clip down below. In this clip, the artist speaks on his “25/75” rule that he applies to dating. Essentially, dating Diddy is great 75 percent of the time, but the other 25 percent can be a bit of a nightmare.
To be specific, Diddy claims that 25 percent of the time, his partners wonder why they stay with him. Overall, this is because he is either cheating or lying on them. When compared to what he is accused of, these things don’t really compare. Either way, fans believe this is a bit of a red flag, especially given the recent allegations. At this point, it seems like fans will stop at nothing to find more clips like this.

As we have extensively reported, Diddy’s homes were raided a couple of months ago. This subsequently led to all sorts of speculation about what would happen next. Furthermore, the investigation came in the midst of numerous lawsuits and allegations against the artist. Since last November, Puff has been accused of sexual assault, rape, trafficking, and physical abuse, among other transgressions.
Most recently, Diddy was seen physically assaulting Cassie on camera. This hotel footage was from 2016 and immediately shocked the hip-hop world. Moreover, a recent article from Rolling Stone showcased testimonials from Diddy’s old friends, and they were not kind. This morning, things have seemingly gone from bad to worse for the mogul. Overall, this is due to the forming of a Grand Jury in New York, according to TMZ. The Grand Jury is located in the Southern District of New York, and it has been noted that witnesses might be asked to testify in front of it, very soon.

After a months-long investigation, it appears as though prosecutors are looking to present the evidence they have compiled. Diddy’s reputation as a dangerous and destructive individual has been well-established over the past eight months. The Bad Boy founder has been publicly disgraced in the form of lawsuits and a video in which he assaults his ex-girlfriend, Cassie. More lawsuits are surfacing on a weekly basis, and 50 Cent recently sold a documentary series about the mogul’s alleged crimes to Netflix. Rolling Stone magazine is the latest outlet to peel back the curtain on the Diddy story.
The outlet published a detailed expose of the business titan on May 28. The expose detailed his rise to fame, his subsequent relationship with Cassie, and the current state of his career. It recapped several of the lawsuits that have already been made public, but it also delved into an alleged assault that had been previously unreported. The alleged assault dates back to the 1990s, when Diddy was a college student at Howard University. Rolling Stone collected testimony from three different witnesses who claim that the future rapper would repeatedly attempt to get a student he was dating to ditch class, and the times she refused, he would become angry and make a scene.
“He screamed and hollered and acted a stone fool until she came downstairs,” one student recalled. Another source claimed that Diddy used a belt to repeatedly strike the woman in question. “She was trying to defend herself a little bit,” another witness stated. “She was crying. And we were telling him, ‘Get off of her.’ We were screaming for her.” The same witness summarized the incident, plainly and sadly: “[Puff] whupped her butt — like really whupped her butt.” The alleged victim declined to speak with Rolling Stone.
The expose posits this instance as the first in what would become a pattern for Diddy. A student who knew both Diddy and the unnamed victim recalled tension whenever the former was around. “She would tense up [when Combs appeared],” they recalled. “He just had a weird control thing. I felt like she was fearful.” The widespread belief that Diddy’s public apology was insincere stems from the sheer number of times he’s been accused of assault. Cassie’s former makeup artist, Mylah Morales, dismissed the apology out of hand. “If was apologetic about it, he would mention [Cassie’s] name, but he didn’t,” she told Extra TV. “That’s what I don’t understand… Just a PR stunt.”
Rap mogul Diddy’s world came crashing in November 2023 after his ex-girlfriend and singer Cassie filed a federal lawsuit against him. In her lawsuit against Diddy, Cassie claimed the rapper physically and sexually abused her throughout their relationship’s duration. Cassie alleged that Diddy beat her, forced her to have sex with other men, and raped her. Diddy settled Cassie’s lawsuit immediately after it was filed. However, his lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, denied Cassie’s allegations against him, claiming they were lies aimed at tarnishing Diddy’s image.
Benjamin’s words were called into question on May 17, 2024, after CNN released security footage showing Diddy assaulting Cassie in a hotel elevator. After the video’s release, Diddy apologized via an Instagram video. The “Last Night” rapper received severe backlash after the video’s release and even after his apology, which some found insensitive. The recent occurrence marked another sad twist to Diddy’s struggles.
In March 2024, the Feds raided the rapper’s properties in Miami and Los Angeles. Additionally, more people have filed lawsuits against Diddy, with his reputation increasingly declining. On May 23, 2024, April Lampros filed a 22-page lawsuit against Diddy. In the lawsuit, April accused Diddy of sexual assault, battery, and negligent infliction of emotional stress. She also accused him of committing a crime of violence motivated by gender. April filed the lawsuit at the New York County Supreme Court.
In the lawsuit, April claimed she met Diddy in early 1994. Then, she was a college student at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She said Diddy promised to be her mentor and gave her gifts and flowers. However, she claimed she suffered four terrifying sexual encounters that lasted until the 2000s. April claimed one of the sexual encounters occurred with Diddy’s late ex-partner, the late Kim Porter, in 1996. April said Diddy allegedly forced her and Kim to take ecstasy and have sex with each other. Afterward, he purportedly masturbated and proceeded to rape her.
April further claimed that another of her sexual encounters with Diddy occurred at the end of 2000 when he was in a relationship with Jennifer Lopez. According to her, the rapper arrived at her apartment with his security detail and tried to force her to have sex with him. However, turned him down and asked him to leave. She also claimed that she met a man at an event in 2003 who told her he saw a tape of her having sex with Diddy. April claimed the tape was filmed without her consent.
Crystal McKinney Files Lawsuit Against Diddy
Crystal McKinney filed her lawsuit against Diddy at a federal court in Manhattan on May 21, 2024. She claimed she met the Bad Boys Records founder when she was 22. Then, Crystal was a model and had flown into New York for a Fashion Week event at Cipriani. She said a designer flew her into New York and handpicked the clothes she would wear for the event. The outfit included a black leather coat and a translucent chiffon beige V-cut shirt. Crystal further claimed she kept the outfit unwashed in plastic wrap after the scarring events that occurred.
Crystal said Diddy allegedly told her he was highly influential in the industry and would help her excel in her career. She revealed they met at a studio later that night, and he allegedly gave her a laced joint and plied her with alcohol. She claimed the rapper followed her to the bathroom and forced her to perform oral sex on him. Crystal said Diddy didn’t keep to his promise of advancing her modeling career after the alleged assault. Instead, he allegedly “blackballed” her, causing her to suffer depression and attempt suicide.
Grace O’Marcaigh Lists Diddy As A Defendant In Lawsuit Against His Son Christian Combs
Diddy is not the only one in his family to have a lawsuit filed against him. On April 4, 2024, a woman named Grace O’Marcaigh filed a lawsuit against his 26-year-old son, Christian Combs. In the 31-page lawsuit, Grace sued Christian for sexual assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and battery. The aggrieved woman claimed she worked as a yacht deckhand for the Combs family during the Christmas break in the Caribbean in 2022 and was sexually assaulted while carrying out her duties. Grace listed Diddy as a defendant in the lawsuit, stating that he should be held liable for his son’s actions since he charted the yacht and was responsible for his guests throughout the duration of the Caribbean trip.
In the lawsuit, Grace claimed a “heavily intoxicated” Christian physically assaulted her on Dec. 28, 2022. She alleged that he blocked her from leaving, removed her clothes, and tried to force her to have oral sex with him. Grace also sued Diddy for promoting an “environment of debauchery,” filled with suspected sex workers, alcohol allegedly laced with drugs, violence, and disrespect for the crew. However, Diddy and Christian’s attorney, Aaron Dyer, responded to Grace’s lawsuit by calling it “lewd and meritless.” He also vowed to file a motion to dismiss the lawsuit.
Rodney Jones’s Lawsuit Against Diddy
Chicago native and record producer Rodney Jones filed a 105-page lawsuit against Diddy on Feb. 2, 2024. In his lawsuit, he accused the music mogul and those working with him of being part of an illegal racketeering syndicate. He further claimed he had concrete evidence to prove that Diddy and his cohorts acquired, used, and distributed ecstasy, cocaine, GHB, ketamine, marijuana, and mushrooms. Rodney also claimed to have evidence that Diddy and his workers displayed and distributed unregistered illegal firearms and solicited minors and sex workers.
Rodney alleged that Combs reached out to him in 2022 to help him with song production. However, he claimed what Diddy wanted him to do was way more than producing music. Rodney claimed Diddy tasked him with buying drugs and soliciting sex workers to perform sex acts to please him. He further claimed that Diddy asked him to record those sexual acts. According to Rodney, Diddy hit him when he failed to comply with his demands. Rodney also accused Diddy of lacing women’s drinks with ecstasy.
Later in the lawsuit, Rodney said Diddy allegedly grabbed him without his consent and forced him to work while Diddy walked around naked. He claimed that Diddy once left him alone in a makeshift studio on a yacht with Cuba Gooding Jr. Rodney claimed the actor touched, groped, and fondled his upper thighs near his groin and didn’t stop until he forcefully pushed him away. Meanwhile, Diddy’s attorney, Shawn Holley, claimed Rodney’s allegations were false and accused the latter of being a con man. Shawn added that there was proof that Rodney fabricated his claims and expressed resolve to take appropriate court action.
An unidentified woman alleged that Diddy and former Bad Boys Records president Harve Pierre gang-raped and sex-trafficked her when she was 17 and in the 11th grade. In a lawsuit filed on Dec. 2, 2023, Jane Doe claimed Diddy convinced her to follow Harve and an unnamed man on a private jet to his New York City studio. After getting to Diddy’s studio, he and his associates, including Harve, plied her with drugs and alcohol and gang-raped her. She also claimed that Diddy watched as the unnamed man raped her while she begged him to stop. Afterward, Harve also allegedly raped her and violently demanded oral sex as she choked and struggled for breath.
Diddy and Harve denied Jane’s allegations, with the former’s attorneys asking the court to dismiss the lawsuit. Diddy also shared a statement via social media on Dec. 6, 2023, in which he called the allegations against him sickening and declared that he was innocent of the awful things he was accused of. Diddy also vowed to fight for his name, his family, and the truth. Similarly, Harve released a statement denying Jane’s allegations, describing it as a “tale of fiction.”
Liza Gardner’s Lawsuit Against Diddy
In Liza Gardner’s lawsuit filed on Nov. 23, 2023, she accused Diddy and singer and songwriter Aaron Hall of forcefully having sex with her against her will when she was 16. She claimed she met Diddy and Aaron during an event for Jodeci’s album release in New York. According to Liza, Diddy invited her and her friend to Aaron’s apartment for an after-party. There, Diddy allegedly coerced her into having sexual intercourse with him. When he was done with her, and she was getting dressed, Aaron allegedly entered the room, pinned her down, and forcefully had sex with her. Liza claimed she suffered from intense vaginal pain after the experience. She said she ran away from the apartment and later found out that her friend allegedly suffered the same fate at the hands of Diddy and Aaron.
Liza further claimed that Diddy came to her home a day after the assault. She accused him of assaulting and choking her so much that she passed out. Liza said she suffered from depression, PTSD, and a strained relationship with men after her experience with Diddy and Aaron. Hence, she requested for a jury trial. Again, Diddy’s attorney claimed the allegations were false and fabricated.
Joi Dickerson-Neal filed a 22-page lawsuit against Diddy on Nov. 23, 2023, accusing him of sexually assaulting her. She claimed she met the rapper after appearing in a music video with him. Then, she was a student at Syracuse University. Later, Joi agreed to go on a date with Diddy but claimed he intentionally drugged her during their outing. Joi stated that Diddy sexually assaulted her and video-recorded the whole thing. She also claimed her male friend told her he viewed the taped recording of her and Diddy. He also told her everyone had seen the sex tape.
Joi claimed the situation with Diddy caused her life to decline as she was admitted to the hospital for severe depression and suicidal ideation. The complainant also claimed to have suffered a lifetime of injuries from Diddy’s actions toward her. She sued the musician for assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, human trafficking, and revenge porn. However, Diddy, through a spokesperson, denied the allegations, claiming it was a “money grab.”
Singer and Diddy’s ex-girlfriend began the lawsuit trend against the rapper when she braved the odds to file against him on Nov. 16, 2023. Cassie’s 35-page lawsuit accused Diddy of sexual assault, sex trafficking, and battery. She also accused him of forcing her to engage in sexual acts. Cassie claimed Diddy physically abused her throughout their relationship’s duration and asserted complete control over her personal and professional life. Hence, she found it hard to escape his hold over her. Cassie stated that Diddy’s staff and record label knew about his abuse toward her.
Diddy swiftly settled the lawsuit with Cassie. The former lovers reached a mutual settlement a day after the lawsuit was filed. Diddy’s representative claimed Cassie’s allegations were false, but his words didn’t hold water after CNN released footage of Diddy physically assaulting Cassie. Although Diddy apologized for his actions, the video was too disturbing and damaged his already faltering reputation.
Last year, City Girls released their new album RAW. The project was highly anticipated by fans following their 2020 project City On Lock which spawned fan favorites like “Jobs” and “P*ssy Talk.” But JT and Yung Miami’s latest album together underperformed commercially and was met with mostly shrugs from critics. A celebrity apology is not always what it seems. From lackluster to too-little-too-late, celebrities have a history of offering unconvincing apologies for their mistakes or wrongdoings. The latest, most famous of these insincere attempts at amends comes from rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs. It seems like not a day has gone by recently without Combs in the news. A line of women have been stepping forward with allegations of abuse. Perhaps most famously, Diddy’s ex, Cassie Ventura, settled a federal lawsuit against the Bad Boy Records executive last November. But it wasn’t until mid-May of this year that Diddy made any attempt to apologize for–or even acknowledge–Cassie’s allegations.
Recently, CNN obtained footage from 2016 showing the music mogul repeatedly assaulting Cassie in a Los Angeles InterContinental Hotel. Finally, a celebrity apology from Diddy has gone public. He took to Instagram, claiming he was at “rock bottom” at the time. He also stated that he sought therapy and entered rehab in the time since. Instagram users lambasted the “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper, stating “Not even a week ago Diddy was denying the accusations against him” and “YOU ARE NOT THE VICTIM HERE.” Cassie’s lawyer Meredith Firetog also released a statement on the apology, calling it “disingenous” and an act of “pathetic desperation.” This is, of course, only the newest in the ongoing pop-culture spectacle known as the “questionable celebrity apology.” Let’s take a look at five times celebrities have issued condolences that raised eyebrows and garnered further backlash.
Shia LeBeouf is no stranger to criticism – he did, after all, once don a paper bag over his head on the red carpet. But back in 2012, the Even Stevens actor gave his own celebrity apology regarding a short film he created titled Howard Cantour.com. While it was initially very well-received by fans and critics alike, not long after release the film was revealed to be the work of plagiarism. Comic book writer Dan Clowes came forward, showing how the film copied much of the plot and dialogue of his comic Justin M Damiano.
LeBeouf issued a strange apology via a rambling series of tweets. First, he said that, swept up in excitement and creativity, he “neglected to follow proper accreditation.” Finally, he admitted that he “f****** up.” Perhaps the oddest thing about this was that it was revealed later that LeBeouf’s apologies were themselves plagiarized from a Yahoo! Answers forum, which led to further investigations of plagiarism and continued future skepticism over LeBeouf’s work.
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis both rose to fame on the much-loved sitcom That 70s Show. One of their former co-stars, Danny Masterson, was convicted last May of two counts of sexual assault. Kutcher is known as a co-founder of Thorn, an NGO that works against human trafficking. That’s one reason the media found it bizarre when it was revealed he and Kunis wrote letters in support of Masterson to his judge. They lauded him as an incredible person. In the midst of subsequent public outcry, Kutcher and Kunis created a video apology. Their disheveled demeanor and stilted tones led viewers to see it as very insincere and uncaring.
Will Smith’s Celebrity Apology To Chris Rock
Who can forget when Will Smith stood up and slapped Chris Rock hard during the Academy Awards in March 2022? The moment was so strange that it felt surreal. Rock had let loose a somewhat insensitive comment about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett’s alopecia. Less than an hour later, Smith won Best Actor for his role as Richard Williams in King Richard. Smith took that chance to publicly apologize for what had just transpired, but he didn’t explicitly apologize to Rock himself. He claimed that he was “fogged out by that point.” This, of course, led to heavy criticism, prompting Smith to finally release a 6-minute apology video on his YouTube channel. He stated that “there is no part of me that thinks that is the optimal way to handle a feeling of disrespect.”
For years, celebrity chef Mario Batali was well-known as a friendly face on various Food Network shows, and as an ongoing member of ABC’s The Chew. But everything came crashing down in 2017 when Batali was fired from The Chew due to multiple allegations of misconduct with women. In his email newsletter, Batali later apologized for his actions and stated that he took “full responsibility.” However, for some bizarre reason, the chef included a recipe for cinnamon rolls right after his apology. This careless decision was heavily criticized and mocked across the media.
Logan Paul In Japan’s Aokigahara Forest
The social media influencer and professional boxer/wrestler Logan Paul has had to make a couple of public celebrity apologies over the years. But probably the most famous and most ridiculous came after he filmed himself in Aokigahara forest near Japan’s Mount Fuji. The forest is infamous due to the large number of suicides that have taken place there over the years. Paul filmed a body and his reaction, which viewers were astonished by. It resounded with incredible disrespect and insensitivity.
Paul rushed to offer a few apologies, which ranged from him claiming that the entire video was created in reaction to his own psychological issues and even that he was attempting to raise awareness about mental health in general. No one really took these various statements too seriously, and he was the target of (mostly well-deserved) mockery. (He was also the target of a $3 million dollar lawsuit based on a Google licensing deal that fell through after his forest video.)
Yung Miami and Southside, both influential in their own right, had a rollercoaster ride of a relationship. As with most celeb relationships, this one also played out in the full glare of the media. The former couple went from showing public displays of affection to welcoming a child to parting ways. However, even after their breakup, the pair have been seen together on a few occasions. Most recently, Yung Miami and Southside were spotted together in Atlanta. This is amidst the ongoing Diddy scandal. As a result, fans are curious about the nature of Yung Miami’s relationship with the mogul, as well as with Southside.
Yung Miami and Southside, a prolific record producer, began dating sometime in 2018. Their relationship first became public knowledge in December, when Yung Miami hinted that she was in a relationship. In the now-deleted video, she showed off the expensive gifts she had received from her man to her followers on Instagram. She revealed that she had “f*cked around and fell in love.” Although fans were happy for her, there was no indication of who her man was. They did not have to wait too long though. Under an Instagram photo of Southside’s, Yung Miami commented: “Mine.” That was enough of a confirmation, and soon after, the couple was spotted on a tropical vacation.
December 18, 2018: Over Already?
Two weeks after their relationship went public, Southside announced he was no longer with Yung Miami. On December 18, Southside jumped on Instagram Live and confirmed that the two were no longer an item. “These rap hoes be lame as f*ck,” he said. “You feeling yourself. Stop feeling yourself… Nah I don’t go with that hoe no more. I don’t fuck with that hoe. I’m good. I’m all the way cool on it.”
He went on a long rant and soon claimed that the City Girls rapper had said she was single in an IG Live. He stated: “Nobody don’t give a f*ck if you single. Who cares? No one is going to wife you, sweetie. They see what you really look like without your wig on and shit, they’re not going to want to f*ck with you.” Evidently, Southside’s hurtful comments were met with backlash, and many came to Yung Miami’s defense. Fans commented that Southside was simply being overly emotional and airing his grievances in an unseemly manner. Surprisingly, the couple reconciled and reunited a week later.
Following their reconciliation, Southside and Yung Miami took the public love to a whole new level. They frequently posted pictures and videos together, showcasing their affection. One of the most significant milestones of their relationship came with the birth of their daughter, Summer Miami in October 2019. The arrival of Summer was a joyous occasion for both parents, who shared their excitement with their followers. Yung Miami posted photos of the newborn sleeping alongside Southside, with the caption: “Summer Miami. So happy & blessed.”
September 2020: Yung Miami And Southside Call It Quits
2020 was challenging for Miami and Southside, leading to them saying their final goodbyes to their relationship. At the time, rumors had already been circulating that the couple had called it quits, but confirmation came when Miami celebrated life as a single woman. After gathering her friends for a yacht trip, she posted pictures of herself living it up. Yung Miami and her girls hopped on Instagram Live to celebrate and raise a toast.
She didn’t give a reason as to why she and Southside had broken up, leaving fans to speculate. Southside, on the other hand, kept his cool. After confirming his side of the breakup, he insisted that he and Yung Miami were on good terms. He said: “I ain’t mad about none of that s**t,” he says. “I’m a hunnid. I ain’t finna get on here and do all that. Took a turn where I went my way, she went her way. I wish her the best.” The former couple continue to co-parent their daughter Summer, and expressed mutual respect and admiration, focusing on providing a loving environment for their child.
In July 2023, Southside and Yung Miami were together in the studio, sparking rumors that they would collaborate on some music. There were no speculations as to whether the two were back together, as Southside had commented previously that they were no longer intimate. Yung Miami was also in a relationship with Diddy since the year before. The two were, however, spotted clubbing together in January, 2024.
Following the abusive hotel footage of Diddy that went viral, Yung Miami unfollowed him. Hours later, she was spotted once again with Southside in Atlanta, Georgia. They were captured by the popular ATL photographer Prince A Williams. Although their time together wasn’t all roses, it seems that the former couple have found peace in being present with each other.
Retired rapper and media personality Joe Budden found himself in the news for the wrong reasons. This was after his ex-girlfriend Tahiry Jose reacted to his comments on Diddy’s apology video. The embattled rap mogul Diddy offered a public statement apologizing following the disturbing video of Cassie’s assault, leading to scrutiny both online and among his peers. One of those who criticized him was Joe Budden. During an episode of his The Joe Budden Podcast, Joe said Diddy’s actions in the assault video disgusted him, describing it as unbearable to watch.
Joe added that Diddy’s apology was offensive, insensitive, and felt almost like a slap in the face. Joe added, “He didn’t even try to put some sincerity into this thing.” However, when The Shade Room posted Joe’s thoughts on Diddy’s apology on Instagram, his ex-girlfriend Tahiry Jose hopped to the comment section to level some accusations against him. She recalled how Joe allegedly threw her down a flight of stairs. This caused a back-and-forth between the exes, leading many to recall their relationship. Below is a timeline of their relationship.
Joe Budden and Tahiry Jose’s relationship began in 2005. During an interview with Global Grind TV‘s Brittany Lewis, Joe and Tahiry opened up about their first date. They revealed that they were together from the first time they met. Joe needed to use the bathroom and asked to use Tahiry’s. However, after she let him in, he used the bathroom and fell asleep on her floor and they never stopped hanging out afterward. Joe and Tahiry also revealed that their first date was at a cave-shaped restaurant where they went to get ice cream.
2005-2013: Relationship Struggles
Joe and Tahiry loved each other and had a strong bond. However, these weren’t enough to stop them from quarreling multiple times and even breaking up twice. This caused their relationship to become tumultuous as they made several allegations against each other. Fans watched Joe and Tahiry’s relationship struggles play out on Love & Hip Hop: New York, which they starred in.
Tahiry spoke about her and Joe’s relationship struggles during a November 2013 chat with Vibe. When asked if she would ever trust Joe Budden enough to be with him long-term, she answered, “Right now, no.” She added, “The world thinks Joey and I went back and forth for nine years [but] we didn’t. We were together five, apart for four and I gave him a chance in May [but] he f***ed up. Tahiry explained that friendship is the core of every relationship, but Joe failed as a friend a few times.
Despite the difficulties in his relationship with Tahiry, Joe was convinced she was the one for him. Hence, he planned a surprise proposal at New York City’s Times Square. Family and friends surrounded the couple during the proposal, which also played out on an episode of Love & Hip Hop: New York. During the proposal, Joe told Tahiry that he wanted his words to match his actions and his actions to match his feelings for her. “I want the ties that bind us together to always be stronger than those that tear us apart — I love you,” Joe said. “I need you, I don’t want to spend another day without you. With that said, Tahiry-my-mom-didn’t-give-me-a-middle-name-Jose, will you marry me?”
Many would have thought Tahiry would say yes to the ring, but she turned down Joe’s proposal. She had her reasons, though, as she questioned Joe’s trustworthiness. Tahiry’s actions hurt Joe, who spoke about the proposal during an appearance on Hot 97. Joe revealed much was edited from the proposal scene on Love & Hip Hop: New York.
The media mogul explained, “I’m mad that they edited so much out.” He explained further, “In the scene that I shot with my mom afterward—you know, I expressed how the answer didn’t take away from how beautiful the night was for me. With the family there.” Joe continued, “And just leading up to it. And the ring. And just wedding planning. All that was great, still… It was great for a man to do. Like when you feel that way and to actually do it, sans the ‘no.’” When asked if he would ever be in a relationship with Tahiry, Joe declared, “No way. No way. I’m never doing that again. That would never happen again. Ever ever ever ever.”
December 2019: Tahiry Reveals Why She Rejected Joe’s Proposal
Meanwhile, Tahiry spoke about rejecting Joe’s proposal during a December 2019 appearance on The Real. When asked if she regretted rejecting the proposal, she said, “Well, he proposed in a public place so, I mean… I don’t regret it. I didn’t know that I was that brave. It was one of the most important chapters of my life on national TV. I believe that the show had 5.1 million viewers at the time. So, to be able to say ‘no’ to the man I thought at that moment was supposed to be my forever was big.”
Tahiry further explained that she was uncomfortable with the amount of reality TV obligations she would have to deal with if she had said yes. Hence, she chose to do what was best for her. She added, “I knew that that ring would come with show specials, the wedding specials… we were so big! People loved us together, but I couldn’t do it. [It was] what my gut told me to do, so I had to follow my gut. None of that mattered if the relationship wasn’t healthy.” Tahiry emphasized that she made the right choice. She said, “I have no regrets. Of course, I love him. I love him as a person.”
August 2020: Tahiry Jose Makes Disturbing Allegations Against Joe Budden
Tahiry and Joe went their separate ways after she turned down his marriage proposal. However, that wasn’t the end of their interactions. In August 2020, Tahiry was a guest on Hollywood Unlocked [Uncensored], and she revealed Joe allegedly abused her during their relationship. At the time, Tahiry was facing media scrutiny after her ex, Vado, grabbed her forcefully during a Marriage Boot Camp episode. When asked if Joe was abusive toward her when they dated. Tahiry paused for a while before revealing that Joe allegedly abused her.
Tahiry said she kept quiet about Joe’s abuse because she wanted to focus on work. She claimed that her relationship with Joe left her battered and bruised. She revealed, “That relationship left me with a fractured rib, a broken nose because somebody was sending him a message….pushed me down a flight of stairs. I remember having a plan to leave because the reason he was so upset was because I was already leaving. Looking through my phone and sh-t. But I had already told him give me two weeks to pack up my things and he agreed to it. Then he started looking through my phone. Next thing you know, I got woken up by him dragging me from my ankle.”
The reality TV star claimed that Joe began by verbally abusing her. It then turned to emotional abuse before becoming physical. She shared, “I still fear for my safety. He hurt me bad and I just stayed quiet.” Tahiry revealed that she lied to the doctors about her injuries, but Joe rapped about abusing her, and she stayed quiet. She explained that she wanted to deal with the matter privately, but listening to Joe saying she would fight a man after her altercation with Vado pushed her to speak out.
September 2020: Joe Denies The Abuse Allegations
Joe didn’t waste time in denying Tahiry’s abuse allegations against him. The broadcaster said his relationship with Tahiry was toxic. However, he accused her of lying against him and chasing clout with her accusations. Joe claimed Tahiry was abusive toward him and used to “beat my a*s.” He also claimed that he didn’t break Tahiry’s nose, noting that she got the injury after a fisticuff with a man in Sin City, New York.
Joe said, “What was alleged here…let me start with this young lady is a liar, a cancerous, toxic liar. I’m uncertain why she’s lying this way, I’m not certain if she’s misspeaking. If she has a false recollection of things. I’m not sure what it is but she said some things that didn’t sit right in my soul and I’m here to talk about it.” Among other things, Joe further insinuated that Tahiry was in her feelings about him moving on from her and suggested the backlash she received after the Marriage Boot Camp drama caused her to tell lies about him.
Tahiry responded to Joe’s comments during an Instagram Live section with her friend Alicia Lyons. She noted that she prefers keeping her private affairs away from the public. She added, “But, you know, the world believes whatever they want to believe. I’m fine. I know what happened. My God knows what happened. He knows what happened. So that’s why I don’t care. It’s like the party that’s guilty to jump on that bandwagon of everything that kind of supports their story.” She also denied hitting Joe, saying, “So Tahiry’s aggressive, yeah, I’m loud. I’m Dominican, I’m short, I’m rough, I’m aggressive but I never put my hands on you. But people don’t know that. They see what they see and that’s okay, too.”
May 2024: Tahiry Jose Accuses Joe Budden of Physical Violence Again
Nothing much was heard about Joe and Tahiry’s allegations against each other until May 22, 2024. Joe reacted to Diddy’s apology video by bashing the rap mogul. However, Tahiry found Joe’s comments ironical and hopped on The Shade Room‘s repost to label him an abuser. She wrote, “FOH, Who???? The irony. This is so triggering!!!!! I remember joey throwing me down a flight of stairs dragging me back into the house & me having to talk him into letting me go.” She also claimed the situation remained that way “FOR HOURS!!!!” In a third comment, Tahiry expressed solidarity with Cassie and every other woman who went through or was going through abuse.
However, Joe responded to Tahiry under the comment section of The Shade Room post. He called her a “lying, failed gold digger that has abused, targeted and manipulated many men.” Joe further said that Tahiry didn’t have an identity outside of him which is why she has desperately tried to be attached to him for over 15 years. He recalled several instances they interacted with each other and she was fine. Joe claimed, “You were on my body your entire last stint on L&HH and tried your best to disrespect my son’s mother in the process, i had to ask producers to keep you away from us like the cancer you are!! Yet you continue to slight my name online because…it’s your identity.”
Joe concluded by labeling Tahiry a con woman and prayed she would find healing and move on. He hoped this would be their last exchange and prayed for women who were really victims of abuse. Tahiry quickly responded to Joe’s comments by claiming Joe’s close circle knew the truth. She wrote, “I’m not scared of you anymore. You can keep bullying, intimidating the rest. Those that know you and are around you also know the truth. Sad that they continue to enable your behavior. Your time is coming!” Joe is yet to respond to Tahiry’s latest comments and seems to be done talking about the matter. At this time, there is no love lost between the former lovebirds. However, only time will tell if Tahiry’s allegations against Joe would be proven or if the issue at hand would fizzle out.

Earlier this month, CNN leaked a video of hotel security camera footage. The video shows what appears to be Diddy pretty relentlessly assaulting Cassie, something she claimed happened in a lawsuit she filed last year. Despite denying the allegations at first, Diddy apologized for his actions in the video. That turned out to be the last straw for some that had been quiet or outright defenders of Diddy. It caused Miami to finally unfollow him on Instagram, something fans took notice of immediately. She wasn’t even the only celeb to finally unfollow him as LeBron James did the same following the video.

Lastly, Akademiks believes if Diddy were to say he was molested as a child, it would give him an excuse for his alleged behavior. All three of these excuses are pretty outlandish and one has to wonder if Ak really believes this would work. For now, Diddy’s public perception is the worst it has ever been, and it is going to take a lot for that to change. At this point, the mogul may want to hold off on hiring Ak as a strategist.
