DDG Lays Up With Someone New Following Split From Halle Bailey

DDG is catching some heat right now thanks to some new photos and videos making the rounds on social media. One in particular is drawing people in and encouraging them to leave their two cents, though. Akademiks TV shared an image of the Michigan rapper laying up with a girl not named Halle Bailey. In one shot, the woman has a hand on DDG’s thigh, and some folks aren’t too happy to see this. To be more specific, it appears to be Ahna Mac from the Baddies reality TV series. “Keep doing lame n**** s***,” one X user writes. “Poor this Z- listed rapper. No more clout from Halle,” another adds. However, others are blasting Ak’s second social media page for jumping the gun.

They would be correct, as the YouTuber is getting ready to drop a new song this Friday, November 15. “WHAT U BAD FOR” is the title and DDG has been promoting it heavily on his various platforms. Some of his fans are coming to his defense for the backlash he’s been receiving for this, with one saying, “He can’t promote his song without yall on his wood? Y’all burning me out.” “Why are people mad at this it’s a video.. take a chill pill sheesh.”

Overall, it’s been a rough year for DDG, but not just because of the Halle Bailey breakup. He’s been in the middle of multiple beefs, most notably with Joe Budden. Him and the former got into it over the split with the singer and actress because the podcaster didn’t know who he was. “Who the f*** is DDG and why am I supposed to care about his thoughts on anything?” he said on his show.

That set the vlogger off and led him to clap back. “Pump it up went gold after 20 years u old b**** @JoeBudden i’m on u. N**** got 30 years MAX of life left & speakin on a relationship of people the same age as yo son you’n take care of.” Things seem to be a bit better between them now, however. DDG Defends Ex Halle Bailey After Backlash To Her Critical Tweets

November 6 was not a particularly pleasant one for Halle Bailey. The singer discovered that her ex, DDG, brought their son onto a Kai Cenat live stream. Bailey took to Twitter to voice her disappointment in DDG, and fans proceeded to pile on her. Many felt the singer was overreacting, and that her ex should be able to do what he wants. Bailey responded by wiping her social media accounts. It all spun out of control in the span of a couple of hours. Now that the dust has settled, though, DDG has criticized fans who being critical of his ex.

“I don’t like when people hate on Halle,” DDG said via IG Live. He also admitted that he should’ve taken more stock of how the situation looked. Especially since Bailey was unaware of DDG’s plan to go on a Kai Cenat stream. “When situations like this happen,” the rapper noted. “I try to handle it with as much grace as possible. Leave Halle alone.” DDG also alluded to Bailey’s comments about postpartum, which she felt compelled to share before she deleted her Twitter account. The rapper told fans that it doesn’t matter if they think she’s right or wrong, they need to mind their business.

Despite having romantic differences, the rapper asserted that he will always have unconditional love and respect for her. Halle Bailey and DDG’s son Halo wound up becoming a bit of a meme in September, but that doesn’t mean Bailey always loves her child to be on display to a large online audience: DDG recently brought Halo into a Kai Cenat stream, which upset Bailey.

In a post shared on social media, Bailey wrote:

“hi everyone. just so you know i am out of town and i don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight. i wasn’t told or notified and i am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people. i am his mother and protector and saddened that i wasn’t notified especially when i am out of town.”

On October, DDG announced he and Bailey had broken up, writing, “After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared. Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other. DDG has done most of the talking with regards to his split from Halle Bailey. The celebrity couple went their separate ways in October, while maintaining their commitment to parent their son. DDG has caught most of the flack regarding the break up, but the flack reached a more severe level on November 6. The YouTuber and rapper was called out by Halle Bailey herself. DDG appeared on a Kai Cenat livestream with his son in tow, and the singer could not believe what she was watching.

Halle Bailey took to Twitter to make it clear that she didn’t approve of DDG’s decision. “Just so you know I am out of town and I don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight,” the singer asserted. “I wasn’t told or notified. I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people.” Bailey then made an allusion to DDG’s lack of communication. “I am his mother and protector,” she explained. “And saddened that I wasn’t notified especially when I am out of town.” The replies to Halle Bailey’s post varied in terms of tone. Some championed the singer for speaking out, and asserting her motherhood.

Others, however, felt DDG should be able to make decisions regarding his child’s well-being. “He with his dad,” one user noted. “Enjoy your time out of town.” Another Twitter user felt that Bailey was hypocritical, given that she often posts photos of her son on social media. “You post your kid all time,” they explained. The circumstances are, admittedly, different. Halle Bailey posting a photo with her son is not the same as featuring him on a stream watched by millions of teenage fans. Kai Cenat live streams are also notorious for going off the rails, and getting dangerous at times.

Kai Cenat was just embroiled in a controversy in which he had Kodak Black on his stream. The rapper appeared to be under the influence of drugs, and fans believed that Cenat should not have agreed to show him in such a compromised state. Halle Bailey sent a follow up tweet in which she revealed that she’s suffering from postpartum. “As a woman experiencing severe postpartum,” she wrote. “There are boundaries I wish to be respected.” The singer urged her followers to respect her privacy and the privacy of others. “Nobody knows what someone else is going through,” she concluded. “Until they snap.” DDG has not yet responded to Halle Bailey’s criticisms.

Fousey is a streamer and a YouTuber who has been embroiled in numerous controversies over the years. Overall, it always feels like Fousey is trying to make a comeback following a manic episode. This happened in 2018 and it happened again in 2023. However, the star is back streaming in 2024, and many are wondering how long this is going to last for. Unfortunately, it already seems like Fousey is back to his old ways, which is leaving many in a state of fear.

Fousey was on stream with DDG and some of the rapper’s friends. Overall, it was supposed to just be a chill get-together, but when Fousey is involved, that is rarely the case. As you can see in the video down below, Fousey started using the N-word repeatedly, much to the shock of everyone in the room. However, everyone just kept letting him use it unchecked. This turned into a viral clip that is now making the rounds all over social media.

DDG’s BBL Contest Leads To Severe Backlash From Halle Bailey Fans

However, the raucous has more so been caused by the rapper and content creator rather than the singer. Overall, he’s been the one doing almost all of the talking and posting online, with Halle only sharing some flicks at the gym with their child, Halo. What we have to learn is that he’s only willing to get back into a relationship if it’s with her.

Additionally, and quite conversely, he was also saying that he would tell his younger self to be single during his 20s. He essentially said dating is taxing and labeled it as “a part-time job.” It seems that the belief surrounding their breakup is that DDG was problematic, and that Bailey was right to be quiet amid all of the noise and leave him. That feeling is only growing after The Shade Room has shared that he’s launching a contest for his female fans.

He’s getting ready to drop a new single called “What U Bad For,” and it assumedly going to be a self-confidence anthem. We say that because in conjunction with the song, DDG is giving two lucky fans the chance to get a free non-surgical BBL. To win, they need to send him and Dr. Dorfman, the surgeon who will be performing the procedure, a video of them explaining why they deserve to win. It will be a two-week contest and when they get selected, they will be flown out to LA after getting a consultation that says they are able to receive the BBL surgery. DDG Roasted By TikToker Claiming He “Trapped” Halle Bailey With A Baby

DDG has not had it easy since breaking up with Halle Bailey. The rapper and YouTuber requested that fans respect their privacy. In truth, they have done everything but. They have memed DDG for not being good enough to hold on to Bailey. They’ve also made fake screenshots of DDG Instagram posts, that he has had to debunk. The latest DDG controversy may be the meanest, though. A TikToker made a post in which she accused the rapper of trapping Halle Bailey with a child. He responded, and then she got back at him. It was a whole mess.

The overall sentiment of the TikTok post was that DDG purposely “trapped” his ex-girlfriend by starting a family with her and then breaking up. DDG didn’t appreciate the theory, and took to Instagram Live to set the record straight. “CPM’s not that high for you to be on there talking for two minutes about me,” he told followers. The rapper then decided to get personal with the TikTok creator. “You got two kids, I looked on your Instagram…. with no baby daddy. But you worry about me.” DDG made it clear that he didn’t want or think people should be, in his personal business. “Y’all need to stop,” he added. “I be seeing what y’all be saying, bro.”

The creator, who goes by the handle @frankie_aab, responded. She scrolled through Halle Bailey’s Instagram and noted that DDG is nowhere to be found. “I need y’all to let me know when you see DDG on her page,” she remarked. “It’s funny that you try to use me being a baby mama as an insult when you turned her into a baby mama your damn self.” The creator then noted that including the father of her children on her social media would not make sense. “Why would I have my ex-husband on my page,” @frankie_aab asked. “Did you ever marry that girl?”

The TikToker proceeded to criticize DDG for trying to cast her in a negative. She claimed that her kids are currently spending time with their father, effectively disproving the implication that her ex-husband is not in their lives. There’s a bit of a double standard at play, here, admittedly. @frankie_aab is rightfully calling out DDG for making assumptions and casting aspersions on her life. The whole TikTok exchange started, though, because she was doing the same thing about his life.

Budden pretty much disregarded the breakup letter and sort of went off on DDG. “Who the f*** is DDG and why am I supposed to care about his thoughts on anything?” That led to a heated reply, “Pump it up went gold after 20 years u old b****.” Budden would then clap back, “Every time I see his name, it’s attached to hers, and it’s typically in some clout chaser fashion. So that makes me look at him a different way, and hopefully, I get to look at him a lot less now that they’ve broken up.”

Joe Budden Has A Change Of Heart About DDG

Now, though, the podcast host seems to be having a slight change of heart about his younger foe. On the latest episode, Budden addressed the recent back-and-forth and says that he’s been doing “research,” according to AllHipHop. After doing this, he now has some more respect for him. “I like you a little bit.” He says that they share some similarities in terms of pursuing music and content creation, as well as dealing with criticism for breakups. “The same way I don’t know s*** about him, he clearly don’t know s*** about me. So, do I want to come in here and use my powers for evil and f***ing just end this n**** for sending all these bots my way,” Budden said.

DDG Claims He’s Done With Dating Unless He Reunites With Halle Bailey

DDG has had quite the week. The rapper/YouTuber announced that he’d broken up with Halle Bailey via Instagram. The internet had lots of opinions on the matter, and DDG has spent the last few days having to explain his stance. It’s not an ideal place to be. The rapper had to debunk a fake screenshot that had been making the rounds under his name. Then, on October 7, he shed light on his plans for the future. Namely, whether or not he wanted to get into another long term relationship anytime soon.

DDG told his fans, via live stream, that he wasn’t interesting dating. Like, in the long term. The rapper claimed that he had no interest in future relationships. “I am not dating anyone,” he asserted. “I don’t have a potential girlfriend, nor do I even think about that.” DDG clarified that he does not want to have a messy personal life moving forward, and winces at the notion of having multiple baby mamas. “I don’t plan on getting into another at all… I am not finna get a new girlfriend.” The one exception that he made was his famous ex, Halle Bailey.

He conceded that he would consider getting back together with Bailey, since they already have a family together. He doubled down on his familial stance by telling his followers that he plans to go pick up his son as soon as the stream ends. While it makes sense that the rapper would not want to jump back in to a relationship so soon after one ended, his comments about Bailey did catch some fans off guard. Many were not expecting him to be open to the idea of getting back together with her. Especially given that he was the one who announced their split in the first place.

DDG definitely feels defensive when it comes to the way the public has perceived his split. Joe Budden had some harsh comments to make about the rapper on The Joe Budden Podcast, and the rapper fired back with some harsh comments of his own. He called Budden a deadbeat dad, made comments about his sexuality, and claimed that people only watched his previous show, Everyday Struggle, because it had DJ Akademiks.
