Yung Joc Thinks Lil Nas X Is Too “Extreme”

It’s been a busy month for Lil Nas X, with the hitmaker unleashing his new single “J Christ,” dropping a trailer for his upcoming documentary, and more. Ahead of the release of his new track, the performer also found himself at the center of some criticism, with countless peers and social media users accusing him of mocking religion, Christians, and God. While he vehemently denies this, arguing that he’s simply in a new era of his career, the track remains controversial.

During a recent interview with VladTV, yet another peer has weighed in on Lil Nas X’s latest pivot, Yung Joc. According to him, the performer had a good thing going for himself with “Old Town Road,” giving young boys someone to look up to outside of rappers and R&B artists. Yung Joc then notes how he made waves with his “Montero” video, shocking viewers by getting frisky with the devil.

Yung Joc Weighs In On Lil Nas X

“He went from zero to a hundred instantly,” Yung Joc describes. “And it gave people hope like, ‘Wow, you might be on to something so dope that other little Black boys can follow right behind you in this way and it’s showing that they don’t have to just rap or do R&B. Like, you’re singing country music.’” He went on, noting the different extremes Lil Nas X has been at throughout his career. “He keeps hitting us with these extremes,” he says, “It was just so extreme that I feel like he blew his load.”

While Yung Joc may feel like Lil Nas X’s career has taken too many extreme turns, “J Christ” has been a success, already racking up over 12 million views on YouTube alone. King Harris Flexes Aluminum Foil Bowl, Commenters Accuse Him Of Pretending He’s From The Trenches

It’s no secret that growing up with celebrity parents can come with its own set of struggles. According to social media users, however, King Harris is drastically overplaying his own. T.I. and Tiny Harris’ 19-year-old son often finds himself at the center of controversy, whether it surrounds his behavior, familial relationships, or online antics. Most recently, he’s been called out for a clip of himself enjoying ramen noodles out of a makeshift aluminum foil bowl.

“I done ran out of bowls. I done made me an aluminum foil bowl,” he says in the clip. “Figure it out, man.” Commenters are out in full force accusing the up-and-coming rapper of pretending like he’s ever had to rough it, and expressing confusion over his apparent attempts to hide the fact that he grew up privileged.

King Harris Shows Off Makeshift Aluminum Foil Bowl

“He wanna be from the trenches so bad. Meanwhile his daddy probably own stock in aluminum foil,” one critical commenter writes. “He ain’t in no trenches, wash the damn dishes,” another says. Several users also point out that those who actually grew up in difficult circumstances probably wouldn’t waste so much aluminum foil. Instead, they argue that they’d simply find another makeshift vessel to use. “Real hood ppl don’t run out of bowls…..we turn containers into bowls, cups into bowls, jars into bowls, maybe even a pot into a bowl,” one user claims.

King’s parents have called him out for similar behavior in the past, namely during their infamous Atlanta Falcons game spat. He told fans that his living conditions weren’t ideal growing up, prompting T.I. to ask him if he’s ever woken up with a roach on his face. When he confirmed that he hadn’t, his father responded, “Alright then! You don’t know what you talkin’ ‘bout.” What do you think of King Harris getting accused of pretending like he didn’t grow up privileged? Do you think he deserves the roast he’s getting online, or are social media users overreacting? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Benny The Butcher Praises Hit-Boy In Responses To His Haters

Benny The Butcher has never been shy from responding to haters online, even when they’re his own fanbase criticizing his work. However, in his latest barrage of Twitter replies on Thursday (January 18), he decided to target people disrespecting Hit-Boy’s name, who is one of the most essential producers in his entire catalog. The two brought us the 2020 album Burden of Proof and other collab tracks, and Hit -– along with The Alchemist -– will produce the Black Soprano Family boss’ next project, Everybody Can’t Go. As such, there is no way that he will tolerate attacks on the beatmaker’s talents, or take them seriously.

“It’s gonna be a whole lotta this 1/26 lol That’s why EVERYBODY CANT GO is the perfect title,” Benny The Butcher wrote. Specifically, he included a screenshot of one fan who said an unnamed song would be disappointing based on a snippet because Hit-Boy produced it. When someone else pointed out that it’s The Alchemist (and the critic changed his mind), the other commenter asked why a song’s producer’s name determines whether it’s good or not if you already have an opinion on the beat “That’s the reason I call these fools nerds and say they’re opinions ain’t worth dog s**t.”

Furthermore, another fan asked the Griselda affiliate to not work with Hit-Boy’s beats and instead focus on his grimy sound. “This is where you wrong…” Benny The Butcher clapped back. “Real Benny fans wanna hear [fire] music…boom bap fans wanna hear wat u described…BURDEN OF PROOF…I kno cuz I’m Benny the butcher.” It seems like the fan was particularly heated that day, because they kept responding to these remarks from the rapper. “Nah Benny this ain’t it your fans opinions matter unless you wanna end up like the rest of these mainstream losers. Majority of your fans became fans when you dropped Plugs I Met. We wanna hear that s**t.”

More Benny Tweets

“No they didn’t…” he retorted. “stop makin up stuff to fit your narrative… like it or not BOP with HIT did more for my career than anything solo I dropped before it gang… I kno cuz I’m Benny himself and look at the numbers & responses everyday. Stop mistaking your opinion for everyone else’s gang.” For more news and the latest updates on Benny The Butcher and Hit-Boy, check back in with HNHH.

Taraji P. Henson Defends Oprah Amid “The Color Purple” Backlash

Throughout her press run for The Color Purple, Taraji P. Henson has managed to get fans talking with her comments on the pay disparity Black women face in the entertainment industry. Amid the chatter, producer Oprah Winfrey has been met with a great deal of criticism, with countless fans arguing that she’s to blame for the cast being compensated unfairly. According to Henson, however, the controversy has started to overshadow the film, which she notes is all about “sisterhood.”

“I hope they can focus back onto this film,” she told Today.com of the rumors. “Because right now, to me, it feels like what I said is now becoming louder than this beautiful film… And that’s not fair to me, or anybody in the film,” she explained, “because the film deals with women who are oppressed — who live in an oppressed system. Men and women. And all the characters in that film except for the white people. So that movie is about healing. That movie is about sisterhood.

Henson also came to Oprah’s defense during the interview, noting how she called her up personally to ensure that her needs were met on set. “I see what’s going on, but there’s nothing spin there,” she said of beef rumors. “You saw the woman doing the electric slide in the dust with us. She was right there in the field doing the electric slide, she held our hands the entire production. She showed up, she was there — there are producers that don’t show up on set.”

“You know, she called me, she called me personally,” she added. “Not my team, not my people — me, and asked me, ‘Taraji, if there’s anything you need, you let me know.’ And I said it with a shaking voice, I was like, ‘Well, yeah,’ — since she asked, and I told her and she fixed everything the next day.” What do you think of Taraji P. Joe Budden Criticizes “Sad” Hip Hop 50 Celebrations

Last year was jam-packed with events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, but not everybody was impressed. Joe Budden recently shared his thoughts on the festivities on an episode of his podcast, echoing KRS-One’s criticism. According to him, the Hip Hop 50 celebrations he saw lacked hip-hop, which made them pointless in his eyes.

“I hate all them sh*ts,” Budden began. “They coulda celebrated Hip Hop and honored Hip Hop, which is what KRS-One was saying. He was saying, ‘Why would I show up to these events to celebrate Hip Hop and there’s no Hip Hop there?’” His criticism didn’t stop there, however. He went on to describe how some of the events even made him feel “depressed,” as seeing his favorite artists in rough shape was a disappointment. “That’s sad for me,” he added.

Joe Budden Agrees With KRS-One’s Hip Hop 50 Comments

As for KRS-One’s take on the Hip Hop 50 celebrations, he revealed in December that he turned down LL Cool J’s invite to the Grammys’, as he felt that they were responsible for exploiting the culture. “I was asked about two months ago; they asked me to do it and I turned them down,” he began.

“With all due respect, LL COOL J himself called me, spoke to my wife and pretty much begged for me to be on the show but we turned him down. And reason being is because I know people don’t understand this — and I say this respectfully. KRS-One is a Hip Hop extremist. I’m not violent, a violent extremist. I’m ins*ne with this culture. I know I must have lost my mind in this.” What do you think of Joe Budden’s take on last year’s Hip Hop 50 celebrations? Do you agree with him, or not? Jess Hilarious Clowns Kai Cenat For Lil Nas X “J Christ” Criticism

Lil Nas X has been met with an outpouring of backlash in recent weeks, with countless critics taking aim at the hitmaker amid his new “Christian Era.” He’s been using religious imagery, unveiled a single called “J CHRIST,” and even announced fake plans to attend a Christian University. Critics are accusing him of disrespecting religion, with some going so far as to dub him a “Satanist.”

Despite the tremendous amount of heat coming his way, Lil Nas X maintains that his intention isn’t to disrespect anyone. According to him, he also has an entire gospel album in the works, whether haters like it or not. Regardless, disgruntled fans and peers continue to voice their opinions, with streamer Kai Cenat even chiming in recently.

Jess Hilarious Sides With Kai Cenat Amid Lil Nas X Controversy

During a recent stream, he put Lil Nas X on blast, claiming that he’s “mocking” God. He made his disapproval extremely apparent, claiming to “hate” the performer and telling him to “eat [his] whole d*ck.” While some thought his reaction was a bit much, others agreed with him, including Jess Hilarious. The comedian took to her Instagram Story recently to let Cenat know she’s on his side, sharing an article about his extreme response to Lil Nas X’s single. She couldn’t help but clown the 22-year-old a little in her caption, however.

“I’m witchu KAI,” she declared. “But you can’t tell a gay n***a to eat ya d*ck bro.” Clearly, Jess isn’t a fan of Lil Nas X’s latest pivot either, but thinks the internet personality should choose his words a bit more wisely next time. What do you think of all the pushback Lil Nas X is getting for his new single? What about Jess Hilarious agreeing with Kai Cenat’s take on it? Lil Nas X Grows Frustrated Amid Satanist Accusations: “I Can Not Win”

Lil Nas X has certainly kicked off his latest career pivot with a bang, but unfortunately, not everybody is here for his “Christian era.” The hitmaker recently unveiled his new track “J CHRIST” following a few weeks of teasing and a tremendous amount of backlash. He first announced his “return to God” earlier this month, also suggesting that the “music industry tried to make [him] satanic.”

Famously, the Georgia-born performer gave the devil a lap dance in the music video for his 2021 hit, “Montero.” After that, he sparked controversy by releasing a pair of “Satan Shoes.” The shoes, which each contained a drop of human blood, were released later that year. Needless to say, his current journey took fans and critics alike by surprise, and they’ve made their opinions known.

Lil Nas X Responds To Criticism

He’s since been accused of mocking Christianity, “disrespecting God himself,” and even being a Satanist. The chatter has left him fed up, as he feels that there’s nothing he can do to change critics’ minds. He recently took to Twitter to air his frustrations, responding to a user comparing him to Andrew Tate. “Men like Tate are shunned and silenced,” they wrote, “While boys like Lil Nas X are celebrated as IDOLS. The spotlight is reserved for SATANISTS who’ve sold their souls for money.”

“I’ve crossed satan up and broke his ankles, snapped his neck and literally killed him, made a song referencing the return of jesus, and somehow yall still think im a satanist,” the artist responded, “I can not win lmaooo.” Spotify even recently threw a bit of shade his way, calling his new single “mid.” He didn’t hesitate to clap back, however, replying with the viral clip of a Nevada judge being attacked by an inmate.

Kai Cenat Responds To Elliot Wilson’s Nicki Minaj Stream Criticism, Reacts To Charlamagne Tha God’s Praise

Last month, Nicki Minaj joined Kai Cenat for a livestream to promote her new album Pink Friday 2, but not everybody was feeling her appearance. The stream had a lot of fun moments, with the Queen of Rap showing off her dance moves with Cenat’s family, and more. While most fans were glad to see Nicki branching out and showing love to Cenat, others took issue with the stream, namely Elliot Wilson.

“Hip Hop Journalism,” he sarcastically captioned a screenshot of the stream. She clapped back at the time, throwing a jab of her own on Twitter. “Elliot if you’d spit JayZ dikk out for one second, you’d be able to be happy for the new comers,” she wrote. “Isn’t that how y’all tried to tarnish my image? By saying I’m not welcoming new btchs in? Did songs with all of them tho. Why you not happy for a young black man like Kai. Tmrw btch.”

Kai Cenat Says He Has “A Whole Journey” Ahead Of Him

Now, he’s received a response from Cenat, who discussed the shade during another stream recently. “Elliott did respond immediately to Nicki’s tweet about him, but the way I viewed it was like, right now in today’s day and age, people been doing it for so long that it’s been the same for years and years. But when there’s a new thing that’s out, they can’t really grasp and understand it,” he explained. “So sh*t like that don’t necessarily bother me because I know the position I’m in and I know I’m young, bro. I have a whole journey ahead of me.

During the stream, Cenat also reacted to Charlamagne Tha God giving him some serious praise, calling the 22-year-old “everything we say we want hip hop to be.” The streamer shouted in excitement upon hearing Charlamagne’s kind words. “That’s a big statement bro,” he said. “Holy f*ck.” What do you think of Kai Cenat’s response to Elliot Wilson criticizing his stream with Nicki Minaj? Doja Cat Speaks On “Woman” Backlash For Her Second Verse

Doja Cat’s far too familiar with controversy, even when it’s about an old verse that people critique based on her evolving online persona. Moreover, a TikTok user recently went viral for their complaints about the second verse on “Woman”– which, in fact, they love. However, the issue arises for them when it comes to how her relationship with fans and hints at political ideologies ruined the track’s comments. After this made some rounds on the Internet, the Los Angeles native actually responded to this on the social media platform. Specifically, she called attention to how they wrapped an insult in a compliment, which sullies both messages.

“Every f***ing day, I wish that [whispers ‘Doja Cat’] didn’t p*ss me off in the way that she did,” the TikTok user expressed in their video. That was the only clip of the upload that appears in her response, but after looking for some more context, we know what they’re both referring to, as explained above. “I agree,” the “Agora Hills” MC said in her video clap-back, indicating eased tensions before ramping back up. “I feel like the second verse of ‘Woman’ is great. But I feel like that compliment is a giant blanket laid over a huge, warm piece of s**t.”

Doja Cat Responds To TikToker’s Back-Handed Compliment: Watch

Despite the backlash and fan divides that she experienced in 2023, she still found an incredible amount of success. Doja Cat’s album Scarlet was a commercial and critical hit despite fan reception splitting due to her alienation of these supporters in many’s eyes. What’s more is that, if new rumors and reports are anything to believe, it’s very possible that 2024 will be just as great of a run. For example, the 28-year-old is rumored to headline Coachella this year, with other names in the rumor mill including Tyler, The Creator and Lana Del Rey.

Meanwhile, here’s an excerpt of the “Woman” verse in question so you can see for yourself if there are any issues. “I can be your lady, I’m a woman, I’m a motherf***er, but they got a problem. Put some babies in your life and take away the drama, put the paper in a picture like a diorama. Gotta face a lot of people of the opposite, ’cause the world told me, ‘We ain’t got the common sense.’ Gotta prove it to myself that I’m on top of s**t, and you would never know a god without the goddesses.” For more news and the latest updates on Doja Cat, stay logged into HNHH.

Nicki Minaj Dismisses “Bully” Backlash

Nicki Minaj’s new interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music held so much compelling conversation and so many takeaways that we’re still parsing through its best moments. Moreover, they discussed her new album Pink Friday 2, her place in the rap game, her personal growth and current state, and much more. In addition, they also spoke on common criticism that the rapper is a “bully” for demeaning her peers, something that she was quick to laugh off. It’s a bit of an ironic reaction for an accused bully to tease folks as to why she would care about such a thing, but that’s just Roman being Roman.

“You’re just getting Nicki when you hear the music,” Nicki Minaj told the journalist and commentator during their sit-down. “The other stuff is work and some of it is play. I mean, let’s face it. This is my f***ing job. I have to have some sort of fun. If it means making fun of these h*es– why the f**k not? The thing is though, I’ve realized it’s like a movie. They’ve made me the bad guy so I’ve welcomed the challenge. You know why? It’s because I know I can accept that challenge. None of them can. None.”

The conversation around her “bully” backlash starts at around the 8:30 minute mark.

Furthermore, she also spoke on her acclaim in the rap game and how it differs to the critical leniency male rappers receive. “[It] always has mattered to me that, whether you knew how I look, whether you knew where I was from, whether you knew if I was a male, female, whatever, all that mattered to me was that, ‘Are they liking my raps?’” Nicki Minaj expressed. “And somewhere along the line, that shifted, and it’s everyone’s fault, as a whole, as our culture. It’s *nsane to go backwards. And I’m keeping it a thousand, because when I think about the people who inspired me, I can still pull from them right now. That’s why Biggie, rest in peace, he seems to always make his way on my projects. And I didn’t even realize that. You know what I’m saying?

“So thank God I had those kinds of people that, right now, I can still pull inspiration from them when I don’t have anything to pull from,” she continued. “Whether it’s Biggie, whether it’s Jay, whether it’s Foxy, whether it’s Wayne, whether it’s Lauryn Hill. Because they were so great, I don’t care about any of Biggie Smalls’ videos or Lauryn Hill’s videos. I care about the music. When I was riding on the trains to school, I had my CD player and my headphones. I didn’t give a s**t about what any of them looked like. And it kind of has become a little whatever.” For more news and the latest updates on Nicki Minaj, keep checking in with HNHH.
