Cardi B Responds To Popeyes’ Invite To Collab On Wing Flavors: “COME PICK ME UP”

Recently, Cardi B decided to close out a studio session with some late-night chicken wings, which unfortunately left a lot to be desired. She took to social media to reveal that she had tried Popeyes’ honey lemon pepper flavor, but it wasn’t at all what she expected. She rated the flavor a measly two out of ten. According to her, they tasted like Sprite and were far more sweet than she would have liked.

Fortunately, it looks like Popeyes took Cardi’s criticism in stride. Earlier today, the chicken chain’s official X account invited her to their test kitchen in hopes of collaborating on some new wing flavors. “Bardi gang, we need your help! legal won’t let us tag her, but since ya girl had some thoughts on our honey lemon pepper wings, we’d love to have her come thru the test kitchen to collab on some wing flavors. y’all do your thing,” they wrote.

Cardi B Seems Excited To Work With Popeyes

Word must have gotten back to Cardi B right away, as she hopped online shortly after to respond. “Free wings??? Where y’all at? COME PICK ME UP,” she said. Clearly, the rapper is highly interested in taking them up on their offer. Of course, fans would be equally enthusiastic to try out a Cardi B-approved wing flavor, though it’s unclear whether or not they have any official plans to collaborate yet.

It wouldn’t be Popeyes’ first time working alongside a rapper, however. Back in 2021, they teamed up with Megan Thee Stallion for Hottie Sauce and an anime-inspired merch collection. Either way, it looks like Popeyes “fumbling” their honey lemon pepper flavor actually ended up working out in their favor. Keke Palmer Insists Tyler Perry Isn’t “The Enemy” Amid Backlash For His Reaction To Criticism

Earlier this week, Tyler Perry sat down with Keke Palmer on her podcast Baby, This is Keke Palmer. Shortly after, a few of his comments went viral. At one point in the episode, Perry addressed criticism, alluding to claims that his films consistently portray Black women in distress. According to him, critics have no right to determine what kinds of stories he decides to tell through his movies, and shouldn’t dismiss them as less important than others.

“A large portion of my fans are disenfranchised. Who cannot get in the Volvo and go to therapy on the weekend,” he explained. “You’ve got this highbrow negro who is all up in the air with his nose up looking at everything… Don’t discount these people and say their stories don’t matter. Who are you to be able to say which Black story is important, or should be told? Get out of here with that bullsh*t.”

Keke Palmer Stands Up For Tyler Perry

Perry earned a great deal of backlash for his remarks, including misogyny accusations and more. Now, Palmer has come to his defense on X, arguing that critics are directing their anger at the wrong entity. “The enemy isn’t Tyler it’s the system that makes it hard for multiple black artist to shine at one time,” she began. “Oppression turns you against the person that gets the shine opposed to questioning why there can only be so few at a time. Tyler is not the gatekeeper of all black stories he’s just one creative who broke through the system. Advocating for others to do the same is the fight, not hating Tyler for his work that many do love.”

In a subsequent Tweet, Palmer also noted how Perry has employed many Black people, and urged followers not to “blame his movies for oppression.” What do you think of Keke Palmer coming to Tyler Perry’s defense amid backlash for his response to criticism? Cardi B Responds To Joe Budden’s Apology After Putting Him On Blast

Earlier this week, Cardi B took to Twitter Spaces to put Joe Budden on blast, accusing him of trashing everything she releases and urging him to leave her alone. He responded to the explosive rant briefly on X at the time, denying cocaine allegations, lap dance allegations, and more. Budden also took the opportunity to insist that he loves Cardi and never meant to offend her, adding that he was simply looking forward to hearing her upcoming album.

He went more in-depth in a new episode of his podcast, which was released earlier today. He apologized, explaining that while he didn’t agree with everything he accused him of, he didn’t mind taking accountability for upsetting her. Budden also added that he will be discussing her moving forward despite his previous promise, claiming that he’s not willing to “let people suppress [his] voice.”

Joe Budden Denies Getting Lap Dance From Cardi B After Cardi Goes Off On Him In Fiery Twitter Spaces Rant

It’s no secret that Cardi B and Joe Budden haven’t always been on the best of terms, but recently, they took things to a whole new level. Today, the “Bongos” performer went live on Twitter spaces, calling out Budden for seemingly having nothing but negative things to say about her. Her rant appeared to be a response to Budden claiming that Cardi won’t be dropping another album on his podcast, and speculating that she’ll become a “single artist” instead.

“I don’t understand why I keep getting harassed by this man,” she said. “You want to hear my album so bad, you can pull up to my studio session. You could pull up! But I’m really sick and tired of you keeping my name in your f*cking mouth and then you’re acting like you’re keeping it there because you really want a project from me. No, you want to tear my project down like you tear down every one of my singles. You tear down my single, you tear down my personal life, you tear down everything I f*cking do. So it’s not coming from a genuine place.”

Cardi B Slams Joe Budden

She continued, urging Budden to just leave her alone, and slamming him for being overtly critical of her in particular. Cardi even accused him of having received a lap dance from her, doing cocaine, and more. As clips from the rant began to make their rounds online, Budden took to X to respond. “I promise you and can assure you, i will not cover a single thing this girl does for the remainder of her career… Peace & love,” he wrote. “I have also never gotten a lap dance from this lady.”

Budden went on to deny doing cocaine too, and to insist that he actually loves Cardi’s music. “I really just wanted an album from someone whose music i love,” he said. “She cursing me smooth out but she still hilarious lol…. I’m going to bed, i apologize to @iamcardib for whatever i did and peace and love to all.”

Saweetie Checks Critic Accusing Her Of Faking Her Childhood Struggles

Saweetie has found a great deal of success through her music, but unfortunately, she’s also been hit with a tremendous amount of criticism. In the past, she’s had to shut down “nepo baby” accusations, making it clear that her upbringing wasn’t all that easy. Recently, she also revealed that her parents were absent throughout much of her childhood. She opened up about receiving apologies from both of them later in life.

Many fans praised Saweetie for being transparent about her struggles and being a role model for those who have gone through anything similar. Some, on the other hand, accused her of lying about her come-up. Earlier this week, she took to X to respond to one critic, reminding them of the impact their negativity could have on others.

Saweetie Responds To Criticism After Sharing Her Story

“This whole press run with her trying to convince everyone she grew up struggling is lame. Everyone goes through things. But she lied about being homeless for years and only now wants to talk about how she wasn’t close with her parents seems fake to me,” the critic wrote. Saweetie called them out in her response. According to her, these kinds of comments can lead people to stop sharing their stories altogether. “& this is why some prefer to appear cold & emotionless because vulnerability is mocked,” she said.

Fans are glad that she didn’t let the comment slide, and are calling critics out for pretending they know Saweetie better than Saweetie herself. “Y’all trying to tell this woman her own life story,” one supporter says. “She’s been saying these same things for years,” another points out. King Combs Gets Ripped To Shreds For Upcoming LL Cool J Remake

Despite Diddy’s ongoing legal issues, his son King Combs has been hard at work on new music. Unfortunately, however, not all of it has been well received. Earlier this week, the 26-year-old took to Instagram to preview a song he has on the way with Cash Cobain, which samples LL Cool J’s 2002 hit “Luv U Better.” The 90s-inspired teaser shows a party scene featuring Combs’ girlfriend Raven Tracy, and several others taking shots. He took a more explicit approach to the reimagined track, switching the lyrics “I’m gone love you better” to “I’m gone f*ck you better.”

Combs also used some bars from Fabolous’ 2009 “Throw It In The Bag (Remix)” featuring Drake, though he made some small changes to his verse. “If my lady like to eat Imma buy her restaurants/ And she such a boss b*tch she can hire who she want/ She can help me blow this za — she the fire to my blunt,” he raps, for example. He used the term “za” in the remake while Fabolous used “green” in the original.

King Combs Previews “Luv U Better” Remake

Social media users were quick to call Combs out, accusing him of being unoriginal and insisting that the iconic track should have been left alone. “All he does is sample songs horribly,” one Instagram user writes in The Shade Room‘s comments section. “If I was already rich I wouldn’t even try to rap and embarrass myself like this lol smh,” another adds. “We already lived through this era, create your own,” someone else says.

Keith Lee Puts BET On Blast After Taraji P. Henson’s Viral Mix-Up: “That Wasn’t My Rose”

The 2024 BET Awards has been a hot topic since it aired this weekend, and unfortunately, it’s gotten a fair bit of criticism from viewers. The Usher tribute, for example, left some fans confused and convinced that it could have been executed in a better way. He also delivered a heartfelt speech while accepting his well-deserved Lifetime Achievement Award and ran into some serious audio issues. TikTok food reviewer Keith Lee even got a shout-out from host Taraji P. Henson, which got awkward, to say the least.

Henson made her way through the crowd to celebrate different attendees by handing them roses, stopping in front of Lee and his wife to highlight him. She mistook him for another influencer sitting nearby, Jordan Howlett, prompting him to redirect her attention to Lee. “I got caught up in my own inner monologue, I’m so sorry,” she said. Lee later took to social media to share a clip of himself dropping the rose on the ground.

Keith Lee Clarifies He Has No Beef With Taraji P. Henson

This prompted a bit of backlash from fans, who questioned whether or not this was intended as shade toward Henson. Now, he’s taken to TikTok to clarify that it wasn’t, and to raise issues he had with production. “I’ve always spoken about my social anxiety, and for me just to get out and be in that moment was more than enough for me. So to take me and my wife out of our seats, put us in different seats, give Taraji no direction to who we are and what we do felt extremely unprepared and unprofessional to me,” he explained.

“The reason I did this had nothing to do with Taraji P Henson,” Lee continued. “I whole-heartedly believe that wasn’t my rose.” What do you think of Keith Lee raising issues with BET after he was mistaken for another influencer? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Sexyy Red Reacts To Critic Accusing Her Of Turning Young Women Into “Wh*res”

It’s no secret that Sexyy Red’s wild internet antics and raunchy lyrics aren’t for everyone, but recently, one social media user took things a step further. A woman hopped on the internet to share several reasons why she “hates” the St. Louis-born performer, and didn’t hold back in the slightest. She accused Sexyy Red of having a “detrimental” impact on the Black community and of being a negative influence on young women. The user also encouraged viewers to have conversations with their children about her to let them know that “this is not the way to go.”

“She is going to tear your daughters’ self-esteem down,” the user claimed. “Sexyy Red is making a mockery out of Black girls’ hair and saying it looks like carpet and saying that it’s unattractive, along with turning your daughter into wh*res. I hate this b*tch with everything in me.”

Sexyy Red Remains Unbothered Amid Criticism

The user’s video has sparked a major debate in The Neighborhood Talk‘s comments section. While some commenters believe that the woman is onto something, others are coming to Sexyy Red’s defense. “She’s RIGHT,” one claims. Another says, “So say the same thing about the men rapping about sex, money, and drugs.” Others are arguing that it’s not Sexyy Red’s responsibility to be a role model for other people’s children and that she has a right to be whoever she wants to be.

Despite the harsh criticism, the “SkeeYee” performer appears to have remained unbothered. She took to Twitter/X earlier today to address the clip with a simple correction. “It’s Sexyy spell it right,” she wrote alongside a kiss emoji, in reference to the user misspelling her name. What do you think of this social media user’s take on Sexyy Red? Was she too harsh or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Drake Critics Can’t Go To Canada, According To Tony Yayo

Drake’s viral lyrical battle with Kendrick Lamar had nearly everyone chiming in and continues to have fans talking to this day. According to Tony Yayo, however, there could have been even more peers who wanted to share their opinions on the feud. During a recent interview with VladTV, he explained that some people may have chosen to keep their takes to themselves to not ruin their ability to travel to Canada.

“You can’t really give your opinion because n*ggas still wanna go to Canada,” he began, “You don’t wanna say something about Drake and now you can’t go to Canada. You got wild n***as in Canada like Pressa, Bun, and Top5.” While Tony Yayo’s claims are still up for debate, he appears to be on to something, at least when it comes to Top5.

Chloe Bailey Responds To Criticisms That She’s Too Dorky To Be A Pop Star

The transition from wholesome teen star to mature pop star is tough. Most artists flop trying. Others push the “mature” envelop too far, and ruin their image. Chloe Bailey, on the other hand, has made a smooth transition. She earned critical acclaim for her first release post-Chloe x Halle. She has had to contend with criticism from fans who still see her as distractingly wholesome. Chloe Bailey addressed this criticism during a recent Instagram Live, and gave a perfect response.

Chloe Bailey refused to shy away from her detractors during her IG Live session. She read a comment that other pop stars might have preferred to avoid. “Her sexy act ain’t believable because she’s goofy and nerdy,” she read aloud. The singer’s rhetorical response to the comment effectively shut it down. “Why can’t I be both?,” she asked. She also dismissed the notion that her increased sex appeal is an “act” meant to entice more fans. “It’s not an act, honey,” she asserted. “But not everybody will have access to that. Women can be both. Women can be multi-faceted.” Chloe Bailey did make light of the criticism, towards the end, however, singing that she can be a “lady in the streets but a freak in the sheets.”

Chloe Bailey Asserts That She’s A Multi-Faceted Performer

This is not the first time Chloe Bailey has been attacked on the basis of sex appeal. In 2023, she told People Magazine that the response to her song “Have Mercy” left her feeling self-conscious. “Deep inside it was killing me, to be honest,” she admitted. “I started to look down on myself even more than what I already was doing with my own insecurities.” The secret to Bailey’s confidence since? Simply ignoring what detractors have to say. “Once I ignored it,” she added. “I’ve been good.”

Bailey has also made a concerted effort to avoid easy categorization with her music. During a recent profile with Nylon, the singer claimed that she was categorized as “R&B” strictly on the basis of her skin color. Bailey also praised pop icons like Beyonce and Whitney Houston for defying these racially-based labels. “I was really proud of Beyonce doing Cowboy Carter,” she explained. “Because Black people originated country music. It’s just showing that possibilities are endless.”
