Tay-K Gets A New Trial Date As He Faces The Possibility Of Life In Prison

Tay-K’s second murder trial will be hitting the courtroom in February of next year as he faces life in prison for a 2017 murder case in San Antonio. The trial comes as he already remains behind bars as part of a 55-year sentence for his role in a murder in 2016 in Mansfield, Texas. KSAT.com reports that a jury pool of 200 people will be called on February 7 with testimony scheduled to begin on February 10.

The rapper’s attorney has expressed his concerns about jurors having a bias against Tay-K due to his viral music video for “The Race.” In the piece, he poses in front of his own wanted poster. “The nature of the case involved a music video, and that music video is very famous and well-known,” the attorney said. “We may need more than the average jury pool because people are familiar and may have formed an opinion.”

Diddy’s Request For House Arrest Gets A Swift Response

Diddy and his legal team requested that the Bad Boy mogul be released on house arrest until his trial in the case regarding charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering on Friday. According to US Weekly, Judge Arun Subramanian “immediately rejected the idea,” remarking in the courtroom: “That is not going to work.” He had wanted to stay at his mansion in Miami, Florida, the site federal agents raided, earlier this year.

His lawyers also offered that he stay at his apartment in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. This would’ve featured 24/7 security with the removal of internet and phone access outside of contacting his attorneys. He would also need approval before family visits. Diddy’s team argued to Subramanian that the house arrest would end up being “substantially more restrictive” than the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center, where he currently resides.

Authorities arrested Diddy back in September, charging him with allegations of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He quickly pleaded not guilty and has denied all of the claims against him. Diddy will be heading to trial in May 2025.

Outside of that legal case, Diddy recently made headlines for reportedly sending a cease-and-desist letter in response to allegations made during Hulu’s new documentary, The Honorable Shyne. According to Page Six, he’s upset with his former Bad Boy protégé, Shyne, alleging that he took the fall for Diddy in an infamous nightclub shooting back in 1999. A rep. for Diddy told the outlet that the allegation is “unequivocally false.” They also brought up that he was acquitted of all charges related to the incident. Be on the lookout for further updates on Diddy on HotNewHipHop.

The Game Still Can’t Find A Win In His Sexual Assault Case

The Game’s sexual assault accuser Priscilla Rainey is moving forward in their case to collect the court’s $7 million default judgement against him, but he doesn’t want to cough it up. Despite multiple attempts to prevent them from seizing his assets such as his home to cover the judgement, the court still rules against him. Per court documents reportedly obtained by AllHipHop, United States District Judge Mark C. Scarsi denied the rapper’s requests to dismiss an order for him to sell off his house in Calabasas and to order the Marshal to remove the levy on it. In addition, the judge also canceled a court date in January of next year that was going to address these motions.

“An order to show cause why an order for sale of a dwelling should not be made is pending,” U.S. District Judge Mark C. Scarsi reportedly wrote. “Judgment debtor Jayceon Terrell Taylor [The Game] filed a motion to dismiss the order tho show cause. The Court deems the motion appropriate for decision without oral argument. The Court takes off calendar the hearing on the motion set for January 6, 2025.”

“No individual delivered any court papers to me on August 22, 2024 at any location,” The Game reportedly stated concerning claims that a process server allegedly sent a notice of levy, writ of execution, and other legal documents to him and his associate Wack 100, “No individual approached me on August 22, 2024 at any location and stated anything that would suggest to me they were attempting to serve me with court papers. I ultimately became aware of the Order to Show Cause Why Order for Sale of Dwelling Should Not Be Made from media reports about it.”

Meanwhile, this continues a streak of bad luck for The Game, who recently lost $100K after a car burglary in Los Angeles. While this all became a very complex legal matter, hopefully things can come to a close soon in a fair and just manner, as things seemingly won’t get any easier outside the court, either. Hopefully that changes for him and he can find better luck elsewhere.

Young Dolph Murder: Man Sentenced After Pleading Guilty To Being An Accessory

It’s been just over three years since the tragic and untimely death of Tennessee rapper, Young Dolph. Two men, Cornelius Smith Jr. and Justin Johnson, have since been charged with alleged murder. On Friday (November 22), a third man appeared in court over his alleged involvement in the shooting.

27-year-old Jermarcus Johnson, Justin Johnson’s half-brother, is accused of helping Justin and Smith Jr. communicate via cell phone while they were allegedly on the run from authorities. In June of 2023, Jermarcus pleaded guilty to three counts of serving as an accessory following the fatal attack. According to The Associated Press, he’s now been handed a sentence by Shelby County Judge Jennifer Mitchell.

She sentenced him to a six-year diversionary program. It includes job training, drug testing, community service, and refraining from owning a gun. If he completes the program successfully, his record could be cleared, per the outlet. Jermarcus was able to avoid jail time in this case, but the same can’t be said for Justin.

In September, Justin was sentenced to life in prison for alleged first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, and felon in possession of a firearm. Last month, his team filed a motion requesting a retrial. “The verdict regarding the offenses of conviction was contrary to the weight and sufficiency of the evidence, and the evidence was insufficient to lead any rational trier of fact to conclude that Mr. Johnson was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt,” his lawyer Luke Evans argued. At the beginning of this month, Judge Mitchell added 35 more years to his sentence.

Yak Gotti Seen Enjoying A Meal In New Interrogation Video

Yak Gotti is still facing RICO and murder charges in the YSL case, and despite a recent legal win, some other trial elements threaten to impact the public perception of the proceedings. Moreover, this relates to the interrogation video that surfaced with him, and one clip making the social media rounds right now depicts him eating a meal during the session. Of course, the audio isn’t the best, so you can’t always make out what Yak and interrogators are talking about, but some people launched snitching accusations whereas others characterized it as a completely normal process. At this point of the YSL RICO trial, this is an all too familiar narrative that never really cleared up enough for fans to make conclusive statements.

As such, a lot of people just want to see Yak Gotti make his case in the fairest way possible and close out the YSL RICO case on the most just note. For those unaware, he refused a plea deal around the same time that Young Thug took one, as he and his lawyer plan to take their case to a jury and fight for a not guilty verdict.

Yak Gotti Interrogation Clip

Beyond Yak Gotti, there is one other codefendant left in the YSL RICO case. Shannon Stillwell faces similar charges to Yak’s involving alleged murder and alleged gang activity, plus a gun charge as well. Readers may recall that a fellow inmate stabbed him in prison last year, and how he fortunately recovered from the harrowing incident. Their fates remain pretty unclear, as it’s difficult to predict where the trial could move next and what decisions could really impact the outcome. Maybe that’s just our reflexes talking, as the rest of the trial previously became so chaotic.

Meanwhile, as for Young Thug himself, he’s still supporting Yak Gotti and Shannon Stillwell during their stints. He also took some time recently to reconnect with his boo, Mariah The Scientist. With all the developments of the YSL RICO case in mind, it will be very interesting to see how all these individuals’ lives continue when it’s all said and done. Some face snitching accusations, some will stay in jail, and all of them formed part of a critical legal process.

Diddy Blows Kisses To His Family At Bail Hearing Amid Prosecution & Defense’s Allegations

Diddy’s children – Quincy Jones, Justin, Christian “King,” Chance, and twins D’Lila and Jessie Combs – accompanied their grandmother Janice Combs to his bail hearing on Friday (November 22) in Manhattan federal court. He reportedly entered the courtroom at around 2PM local time, and blew kisses in the direction of his family in addition to smiles and waves. This is for Sean Combs’ third official attempt at securing bail in his federal case for alleged sex trafficking and racketeering. The proposed package totals $50 million, the same amount that the court already denied during the defense’s second attempt. However, this new bail package is reportedly more robust and also adds more regulations and requirements.

Still, the breadth of that bail package doesn’t take away from how Diddy’s prosecutors and his defense team have launched damning allegations at one another. Basically, both sides allege that the other seeks to derail the case, manipulate it for their own gain, and take advantage of public spectacle and pressure to do so. In the prosecution’s case, they claim that the Bad Boy mogul sought to tamper with witnesses and illegally exploit other resources at his disposal. In the defense’s case, they allege that prosecutors tampered with evidence and also provided misleading “proof” to build their case.

Both sides’ stories are all just allegations, though, and this bail hearing will probably result in a more direct and final answer for Diddy that hopefully errs on the side of caution and corrects or condemns any mistakes that both sides of the court might have made. Interestingly enough, though, his case continues to draw up more media attention from folks who hadn’t spoken on it already. Kendrick Lamar seemed to reference this scandal on his surprise new album, GNX.

Meanwhile, the lawyer representing many alleged Diddy victims recently faced some assault allegations of his own, so Tony Buzbee has a lot more on his plate now. This case will continue to complicate itself in the search for justice, and it’s important to remain patient, focus on the facts, and ensure that everyone maintains their rights and doesn’t fall victim to careless legal scrutiny.

Tay-K Sports New Look In Leaked Photos From Court

Tay-K, the young former rapper who went viral in 2017 for his song “The Race,” has been awaiting trial for a capital murder charge for several years. “The Race” was recorded while Tay-K was on the run from authorities. Tay-K’s elusiveness after having his GPS monitor cut off while out on bond triggered a nationwide manhunt. Authorities apprehended the rapper in New Jersey.

After being arrested, Tay-K was charged with murder, three counts of aggravated robbery, and capital murder. His previous trial ended with him receiving a 55-year prison sentence. He is now awaiting trial for the capital murder charge after he and his attorney declined a plea deal in February. The trial is officially set to begin on February 10, 2025. New photos of the ex-rapper came from his latest court date, where the trial date was officially set for Tay-K, whose real name is Taymor McIntyre.

Tay-K New Photos From Latest Court Date

Tay-K, who is now 24 years old, previously expressed his disapproval at his 55-year sentence. In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) last year, he argued that he played the “most insignificant” role in the crimes he’s serving time for. He also argued that if he was white, he would not have gotten anywhere near 55 years in prison. Additionally, pleaded for an opportunity at adulthood, as he has been in custody since he was 17.

As previously stated, Tay-K’s capital murder trial begins on February 10, 2025. If convicted, he faces life in prison without the possibility of parole. His attorneys have raised the question of bias in the jury selection process. Their client’s legal troubles have been highly publicized for nearly a decade. “The nature of the case involved a music video, and that music video is very famous and well known,” McIntyre’s attorney said. “We may need more than the average jury pool because people are familiar and may have formed an opinion.” Time will tell on if his attorney gets his request honored. These new photos of Tay-K show just how much time has passed since the public first became aware of his story.

Diddy’s Prosecutors Explain Why His Lawyers Are Wrong About His Bail Package

Diddy and his legal team have admitted to breaking some rules in their trial preparations and quest for bail, but they still stand by the latter as an absolute necessity. For those unaware, a hearing on his new bail motion (one of many) will take place today (Friday, November 22) in New York federal court. Ahead of this hearing, prosecutors issued a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian explaining why they think Sean Combs does not deserve bail and why the defense’s arguments in favor of bond are faulty. Specifically, they targeted defense attorneys’ claims that he should get bail because other powerful people with similar charges have gotten bail.

Diddy’s defense team’s arguments relate to the 2024 sex trafficking case of Michael Jeffries, who secured a $10 million bond with electronic home monitoring and other conditions. However, prosecutors argue that this case is different for a few different reasons. The first is that Jeffries only faced charges of violence and obstruction in relation to sex trafficking, whereas Combs faces similar charges in other areas plus an additional racketeering charge and the use of firearms.

Diddy’s Prosecutors Argue Against His Bail

https://twitter.com/meghanncuniff/status/1859982555359137876?s=12&t=6N2L99mKx7LzXYhb_3_zwQ

The second reason that prosecutors offered as to why the defense’s arguments for Diddy’s bail are flawed is that Jeffries’ alleged conduct ended by 2015 at the very least. On the other hand, federal authorities allege that Combs’ alleged behavior persisted all the way through 2024, and that this allegedly present activity changes his circumstances. Finally, prosecutors argued that since the Bad Boy mogul is much younger with a criminal history, and since Jeffries is 80 years old with no criminal history, their cases can’t compare as closely as the defense team believes.

All in all, it will be interesting to see what the judge concludes concerning Diddy’s bail motion, and whether this latest attempt is any different from those prior. Defense lawyers also bashed the prosecution, though, so this isn’t just a one-sided allegation of bad behavior. Combs’ lawyers alleged that prosecutors altered the footage of him assaulting Cassie in a hotel and used misleading evidence to taint the narrative. A judge will have to find a balance between these dangerous and damning accusations from one side to another.

Man Convicted Of Selling Fatal Drugs To Mac Miller Released From Prison

After Mac Miller tragically passed away in 2018 due to a drug overdose, the federal court charged three men with selling him fake oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl that led to his death. Stephen Walter and Ryan Ryan Reavis are serving their 17 and ten-year sentences, respectively, for conspiracy to distribute controlled substances resulting in death. This was after they struck a plea deal with prosecutors, pleading guilty to one count of fentanyl distribution. But federal authorities haven’t said much about Cameron James Pettit’s sentence, and according to a Bureau of Prisons representative, he’s already a free man.

Moreover, reports relayed that authorities released one of the drug dealers charged over Mac Miller’s death from the Federal Correctional Institution in Mendota, California on October 11, about five years after authorities arrested him. According to TMZ, no court records indicate that Cameron James Pettit ever pleaded guilty to any charges while in federal custody, and that he remained there ever since he pleaded not guilty during his 2019 arraignment. It’s unclear exactly what to make of this whole situation, especially since we had no idea what the drug dealer’s sentence was.

Regardless, Mac Miller fans probably focused on much better news this week concerning the rapper, which is that his unreleased album Balloonerism will come out in early 2025. “Many of Malcolm’s fans are aware of Balloonerism, a full-length album that Malcolm created around the time of the release of Faces in 2014,” his estate expressed in a statement. “It is a project that was of great importance to Malcolm – to the extent that he commissioned artwork for it and discussions concerning when it should be released were had regularly, though ultimately GOOD AM and subsequent albums ended up taking precedence.

“We believe the project showcases both the breadth of his musical talents and fearlessness as an artist,” Mac Miller’s estate continued. “Given that unofficial versions of the album have circulated online for years and that releasing Balloonerism was something that Malcolm frequently expressed being important to him, we felt it most appropriate to present an official version of the project to the world.”

Grace Jabbari Drops Lawsuit Against Jonathan Majors Following Meagan Good Engagement

Jonathan Majors will seemingly close a very huge and turbulent chapter of his life, as his ex girlfriend Grace Jabbari dropped the federal defamation and assault lawsuit against him on Thursday (November 21), according to AllHipHop. For those unaware, she sued him three months after a New York court found him guilty of assaulting and harassing her in March of 2023. The actor received a domestic violence counseling sentence a month after his former partner filed another lawsuit alleging defamation. She specifically accused him of portraying her as an outright liar and not a survivor, characterizing his claims of innocence after the guilty verdict as purely defamatory.

Furthermore, Grace Jabbari accused Jonathan Majors of defamation given that he “participated in an exclusive interview with ABC News wherein he doubled down on his public attack of Grace, claiming that she is lying about the entire pattern of abuse she has described, as he has ‘never laid [his] hands on a woman,’” per legal documents. Now, however, attorneys on both sides filed a joint notice in the court this past Thursday to announce that they “dismissed” the legal battle “with prejudice.”

This is another piece of good news for Jonathan Majors, as he and Meagan Good also recently announced their engagement. The two proved to be quite the controversial couple not just because of his legal scandal, but also because there were frequent rumors about trouble in paradise. Of course, you can say the same about plenty of celebrity relationships, but this one particularly threw fans for a loop. Nevertheless, it seems like they are happier than ever these days, and we’re sure that this dropped lawsuit should also cause plenty of celebration.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Majors is also looking for other revenue and income streams after this legal controversy, including selling autographs at conventions. We don’t know if that’s just for the love of the game or if he’s really in a financial bind, so let’s not speculate too much. Regardless, things seem to be looking up, so we’ll see what else happens in the future and whether this legal saga has another chapter to it.
