Young Thug Interrogation Audio: Detectives Ask If Lil Wayne, Birdman, And Thugger Are Bloods

We knew Young Thug’s YSL RICO case would be a slow-moving process, but we didn’t think it’d be nearly a year and a half into his arrest before his trial began. After months of searching for the perfect jury candidates and watching the number of co-defendants dwindle, it’s nearly time to begin the next steps in the court process. While we eagerly wait for that, @ThuggerDaily and @HipHopLivesNATL on Twitter shared a newly leaked video from the Atlanta-based artist’s interrogation with police, which is two hours long and includes some seriously laughable moments.

Among clips already going viral is a moment between Jeffrey Williams and a detective asking him about gang violence mentioned throughout his lyrics. “Y’all are bloods, right?” he asks in a casual manner. “Lil Wayne, you, and Birdman?” After a moment of silence, the multi-talent responds in confusion, “A blood???” as if he couldn’t understand the connection between him and the notorious gang. “That’s what you say on the song,” the investigator reminds Thugger.

Young Thug Laughs Off Questions About Being in a Gang

Of course, song lyrics being evidence is one of the most controversial aspects of this trial. After letting out a laugh, Williams told the authorities, “Man, that is entertainment main!” Seeing as we haven’t heard much from the “Oh U Went” artist directly all year, hearing his voice (especially in such good spirits) is refreshing. As the trial finally moves forward it won’t be shocking if more leaks come out. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on any that surface.

According to Mariah the Scientist, Young Thug’s got a pretty major incentive waiting on the other side of his time behind bars. The R&B singer says she and her man absolutely love discussing their plans to exchange vows once he (hopefully) beats his YSL RICO charges. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Wack 100 Defends YNW Melly After Alleged Interrogation Footage Surfaces

Footage of YNW Melly in an interrogation room emerged this week as many speculated that he may have cooperated with authorities in a case stemming from a 2015 shooting. The clip of Melly began making waves this week in the midst of his double-murder trial. However, one unexpecting person came to his defense: Wack 100. The music executive suggested that the prosecutors and D.A. irresponsibly put Melly’s life at risk when the video leaked.

“I say the things others scared to say. My question is why isn’t the District Attorney or Police chief brought on attempt murder charges when they release interrogation footage that’s only accessible by law enforcement outside of the DA office or the court building?” Wack wrote on Instagram. Wack 100 accompanied his post alongside a screenshot of the alleged footage of YNW Melly in an interrogation room. “his man told ok that’s street politics. Wack 100 continued to explain that with the footage out, YNW Melly could become a target inside of prison. However, he indicated that it could be a bigger ploy to bring down the “223s” rapper. “So now law enforcement releases footage to the public that can only lead to violence happening to this man. Keep in mind he’s still incarcerated . Motive because the active case is going down the drain .Action expose the man so he’s harmed in prison or upon release. Where is this within in perimeters of the law?” Wack continued.

In conclusion, Wack stated, “Documents are public record – Cool that’s within the law. Interrogation footage isn’t public record.” However, as XXL points out, that’s not necessarily the case. In the state of Florida, among other states in America, interrogation footage can be accessible to the media and the public by request.

YNW Melly’s 2015 Interrogation Footage Surfaces Online Amid Double-Murder Trial

It’s long been said that there’s no such thing as bad publicity. At this time, that cliché is proving to be somewhat true for YNW Melly. As his double-murder trial finally kicked off earlier this month, the 23-year-old saw a sudden boost in his streaming numbers. Consequently, tracks like “Murder on My Mind” and “Suicidal” have been skyrocketing. This has been exciting for both Melly and fans to witness. Nevertheless, not all the attention coming from his ongoing case has been flattering.

Apart from discovering his music, internet sleuths have also unearthed 2015 interrogation footage that shows the Florida native speaking with police about an unrelated incident. At the time, Melly was still a teenager, which has caused some to question the legalities of the recorded conversation between the rapper and the authorities. The 45-minute video is the first in a series of three, though the final two parts have yet to land on YouTube. It seems the next section will be shared on Tuesday (June 20) when Melly’s trial continues.

YNW Melly’s Underage Interrogation

Shorter clips from the full-length upload have been shared on blogs, many of them accusing YNW of snitching. “Is this the ni**a that sang ‘I gat murder on my mind 💀’?” one user asked in @akademiks’ Instagram comment section. “Ya better treat him the same way ya did Gunna and 6ix9ine 😂😂😂,” another person joked. Elsewhere, it’s been suggested that the video was intentionally leaked to alter the world’s perception of Melly. “The court system play a dirty game,” someone explained. “They specifically put this out to turn the public against him.”

Before the weekend began, YNW Melly’s ex-girlfriend’s mom was one of the final people to take the stand. During her testimony, the woman notably smiled at the accused killer before clarifying that she’s felt threatened by law enforcement throughout the legal process.
