Aside from today’s Easter holiday, many people all over the world have also been celebrating the release of Beyoncé Cowboy Carter. The singer’s eighth album is also the second installation in a trilogy of albums she promised before the release of Renaissance. Cowboy Carter is a sprawling 27-track effort that captures Beyoncé in a full country swing, swapping 808s and uptempo dance production for the twang of a strumming banjo and a good ol’ time at the rodeo.

So far, Cowboy Carter has been met with positive reviews as it even went on to break a Spotify streaming record in the first 24 hours since its release. Throughout the album’s 27 songs, Beyoncé recruited help from names all over the industry. Some are frequent collaborators (The-Dream & Jay-Z) and others are new to working with Beyoncé (Shaboozey, Tanner Adell & Brittney Spencer). With all that being said, we dove into the album credits to see who helped Beyoncé make each of the songs on Cowboy Carter a reality. You can scroll down to check out the full list.

“COWBOY CARTER” Streaming Numbers Set 2024 Record, Beyonce Glows In Western Garb: Photos

Beyonce hinted before unleashing COWBOY CARTER that she had much more than just a country album in store for us, and she didn’t disappoint. Throughout the 27-track LP, the Houston native explores genres like bluegrass, Jersey club, pop, rock, hip-hop, and even mixes in some operatic runs just to flex her vocal range. Since she first confirmed that the second act of her RENAISSANCE trilogy would pay homage to her Southern roots there’s been a lot of curiosity – so much so that COWBOY CARTER has already managed to break records on various streaming platforms.

As Billboard reports, Bey’s eighth studio album is Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day so far this year as of Friday (March 29). One of its first singles, “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” had already racked up over 200M streams before COWBOY CARTER‘s big debut. Elsewhere, Amazon Music is celebrating some major wins for the mother of three on their platform. “[It has] the biggest debut to date earning more first-day streams on Amazon Music globally than any of her previous albums. The album also marks the most first-day streams for a country album by a female artist in the history of Amazon Music,” the outlet declares.

As the world continues to enjoy act ii, Beyonce has been filling her Instagram feed with all the Western outfit inspiration we’ll need this summer. Her W Magazine cover shoot is particularly eye-catching, with textures like ruffles and leather drawing us in. As of now, the “Baby Boy” songstress doesn’t have any visuals for either RENAISSANCE album. Still, we can’t wait to see what she’s planning for those and the rumoured rock-centric act iii.

If you’re reluctant to listen to COWBOY CARTER but still want to see what all the hype is about, we suggest streaming “SWEET HONEY BUCKIIN.” The infectious song connects Beyonce with Pharrell Williams and Shaboozey to give us a taste of the former’s femcee side that we’ve been craving. If she releases a remix, fans are hoping to hear Megan Thee Stallion jump on the beat. Tap into the new song at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Beyonce’s “Cowboy Carter” Headed For No. 1 Debut: First Week Sales Projections

Beyonce’s new album, Cowboy Carter, is expected to move 350k copies in its first week according to a new report from Hits Daily Double. Additionally, the project already amassed 76 million streams in its first day available on Spotify. The figure is likely enough for it to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Beyonce dropped Cowboy Carter on Friday after promoting it with two singles back in February, “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages.” Cowboy Carter is the second in a trilogy of albums Beyonce began working on during the COVID-19 pandemic. She first released Renaissance back in August 2022. At that time, it debuted with 332k sales. The new 27-track effort features collaborations with a number of artists including Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, Rhiannon Giddens, Stevie Wonder, Nile Rodgers, Raye, and Jon Batiste. Country legends Dolly Parton, Linda Martell, and Willie Nelson also serve as DJs.

Miley Cyrus celebrated the release of the project in a post on Instagram, earlier this week. “II Most Wanted is out now on the new @Beyonce album #CowboyCarter,” she wrote. “I’ve loved Beyonce since long before I had the opportunity to meet & work with her. My admiration runs so much deeper now that I’ve created along side of her. Thank you Beyonce. You’re everything & more. Love you. To everyone who spent time making this song so special thank you from the bottom of my heart. Sincerely, Miley.” Post Malone, who appears on the song, “LEVII’S JEANS,” wrote in his own post: “thank you [Beyoncé]. congrats this album is beautiful.”

Erykah Badu Changes Her Tune On Beyonce’s “COWBOY CARTER”: “GET EM”

Erykah Badu has not been mincing her words about Beyonce and her new album COWBOY CARTER. Up until the release of the semi-country project today, the legendary soul singer has not been all that impressed. The Dallas, Texas native has felt some type of way about Bey’s cover art, specifically the deluxe edition. There is certainly some inspiration from the artist’s iconic beaded bangs look and “everybody[‘s] stylist” was quick to point it out. Erykah Badu reposted the COWBOY CARTER artwork on her Instagram story with the blunt caption, “Hmmm.”

However, the Mama’s Gun creator has been feeling a little guilty lately. She went on an Instagram Live session to talk about her recent behavior and how her astrological sign could have something to do with it. “Stomach feels bloated. The moon got me feeling guilty, stressed all out. I don’t know why. But I’m up and I’m going. Past few days I’ve been feeling kinda not on my best behavior, kinda like low vibrational a little bit.”

That happened about four days ago and it seems Badu has come to put her differences aside and give COWBOY CARTER and Beyonce their due praise. She reposted a graphic on her IG story earlier today that talked about the records that Bey was breaking. Some of those include her biggest album debut on Amazon Music and the most streams for a country album by a female artist. Badu has seemingly hopping on the hype train, saying, “GET EM.”

What are your thoughts on Erykah Badu switching up her tone about Beyonce’s new album COWBOY CARTER? How are you feeling about the album so far? Do you think it is deserving of all the praise it is receiving, why or why not? What songs are you gravitating toward right now? Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ Has Lassoed In Massive Streaming Numbers, The Album Even Broke A Spotify Record

Beyoncé does it again. Her highly anticipated album, Cowboy Carter, is already rolling in accolades stemming from the project’s massive streaming number.

According to Spotify, the body of work’s debut earned the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer another notch on her belt. The streamer shared the news on its official X (formerly Twitter) page. “On Friday, March 29, Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2024 so far,” read the note.

The collaborative album We Don’t Trust You by Metro Boomin and Future previously held the crown. But the history-setting for Beyoncé didn’t stop there. Spotify revealed that thanks to Cowboy Carter‘s performance on the platform, it also set a new milestone for country music overall. “This is also the first time a country album holds the title this year,” they wrote.

The album’s projection onto the Guggenheim Museum and Rome’s Colosseum, plus its many conversation-stirring cover variants, Cowboy Carter was bound for global domination.

In a letter penned by the musician, the album was birthed from a place of “not feeling welcomed.” But it has turned into “a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive” that supporters are eating up.

Is Megan Thee Stallion On “COWBOY CARTER”? Hotties Hope So As Rap Diva Shares Sexy Denim-Clad Photos

Being one of the most well-known female rappers from Houston, Megan Thee Stallion has long made it a point to integrate her Southern roots into her art. Above all else, she’s a Hot Girl, but the Big Mouth voice actress still knows how to pull off her version of a Canadian tuxedo. On Friday (March 29), the black-haired beauty unveiled a new photo dump via Instagram, which shows her sporting an ultra-tiny denim skirt with a thigh slit that leaves hardly any of her toned thigh covered.

The same is true of Thee Stallion’s unique top, which has long sleeves to shield her arms while most of her breasts sit on display. Her shoes are a similar denim fabric, making her stark white cowboy hat shine bright amongst the rest of her ensemble. The “WAP” hitmaker didn’t leave any hints about an appearance on Beyonce’s new country album in her caption. Still, the comment section is already flooding with fans hoping to see them reconnect after the success of the “Savage (Remix).”

“Girl, are you on the bonus track or not???” and “Have you finished writing your verse for ‘SWEET HONEY BUCKLIIN (REMIX)’ yet???” are among the most-liked replies to Meg’s post. “I just barked at my phone WTF,” someone else commented, drooling over the 29-year-old’s iconic curves. “Can I put you on my health insurance?” and “Back to the gym I go!!” other funny IG users quipped.

There were several artists we wanted to hear on COWBOY CARTER with Beyonce besides Megan Thee Stallion, and it’s entirely possible some of them might still join her for a remix. Beyonce, Shaboozey, & Pharrell Williams Team Up For A Wild, Multi-Layered Cut “SWEET HONEY BUCKIIN’”

Beyonce has been dominating the streams this weekend and will continue to do so for at least the next week with COWBOY CARTER. The sequel to 2022’s RENAISSANCE, the Beyhive and many others were excited for the project’s sound when this was first revealed to us during the Super Bowl. This second installment in this act trilogy, the Houston native is paying homage to her country roots. However, the icon said it best about what this LP is, “This ain’t a country album. This is a Beyonce album.” One of the perfect examples of that quote is “SWEET HONEY BUCKIIN’,” which sees Beyonce work with Shaboozey and Pharrell Williams.

This is one of many songs that definitely is not pure country, but has elements of the genre sprinkled in. Firstly, Shaboozey deserves a huge shout-out. He has been rising quickly over the last several months with his spin on the genre, adding elements of hip-hop. Now, because of that mixed audience, he earned the chance to work with not only Beyonce, but with Pharrell Williams too.

Listen To “SWEET HONEY BUCKIIN’” By Beyonce, Shaboozey, & Pharrell Williams

This multi-layered track might sound all over the place on the surface. However, each phase fits together fairly well. “SWEET” is dominated by Shaboozey with Beyonce coming in after over a jersey club/country beat. Then, “HONEY” is the shortest part and sees it go in a more R&B direction with a slower pace to the production and a more sensual singing performance. Finally, “BUCKIIN’” is the rowdiest part with hard-hitting thumping bass, the classic air horn sound effects, with a hint of guitar. Again, there is a lot to take in, but this trio delivers one of strongest bangers on the album for sure.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “SWEET HONEY BUCKIIN’,” by Beyonce, Shaboozey, and Pharrell Williams? Is this the best track on COWBOY CARTER, why or why not? Who had the strongest performance on the song and why? What is your favorite element of the track and why? How would you rank RENAISSANCE and COWBOY CARTER? Mickey Guyton Shared That Beyoncé Sent Her A Heartfelt Gift For Her Help In ‘Opening Doors’ In Country

Hours after Beyoncé dropped her new album Cowboy Carter, she also sent musician Mickey Guyton a truly lovely surprise. Guyton posted a picture of a large bouquet of white flowers that she received, along with a heartfelt note from Queen Bey.

“Mickey, thank you for opening doors for me queen,” Beyoncé wrote in the card. “Keep shining.”

“With opportunity comes possibility,” Guyton captioned the sweet photo. “The possibilities are endless with you @Beyonce. God gave me an assignment and I followed. May the doors continue to stay wide open.”

For fans who weren’t already familiar with her or her career, Guyton is a country musician from Texas and a five-time Grammy nominee. Specifically, she is the first Black woman to be nominated for the Best Country Solo Performance, after her 2020 song “Black Like Me” became a major and impactful hit. She then released her debut album in 2021.

Guyton is also a huge Beyoncé fan. About two years ago, she performed Bey’s “If I Were A Boy” as a cover during her Global Citizen Festival set. Most recently, she shared a throwback video on Instagram and pointed out how she was “so excited” to hear her in her “country era.”

Dolly Parton Had Hoped That Beyoncé Would Cover ‘Jolene’ Years Ago And It Would ‘Be Killer’

Dolly Parton apparently knew two years ago that a collaboration with Beyoncé was in the card. Even more specifically, she appeared on The Daily Show to chat with Trevor Noah and dished about how she’d love to hear the icon’s spin of her song “Jolene.”

Noah had asked the question because he had heard it as a rumor. At the time, Parton seemed to think it was a long shot dream.

“I don’t know if she’s even got the message, but wouldn’t that be killer?” Parton shared, with the video reposted by The Daily Show here. “I think she’s fantastic and beautiful, and I love her music. I would just love to hear ‘Jolene’ done in just a big way, kind of like how Whitney did my ‘I Will Always Love You,’ just someone who can take my little songs and make ’em like powerhouses. So that would be a marvelous day in my life, if she ever does do ‘Jolene.’”

So, Parton is having a fantastic day today — as Bey’s cover of “Jolene” is featured on her new Cowboy Carter record. “Wow, I just heard ‘Jolene,’” Parton also posted on Twitter following the album’s release. “Beyoncé is giving that girl some trouble and she deserves it!”

Check out Beyoncé’s reintrepretation of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” above.

Beyonce’s “COWBOY CARTER” Full Features List And Known Production Credits

Overnight, Beyonce released her highly anticipated new country album COWBOY CARTER. She’s been generating hype for the project for months after first announcing it with a commercial during the Super Bowl. The album is technically a sequel to her 2022 effort RENAISSANCE but shift’s its sonic ambition to take on influences from the world of country music.

Fans have been breaking the album down all day, including identifying all of the collaborators heard throughout the record. On the feature side of things Beyonce secured headliners like Post Malone and Miley Cyrus. Elsewhere country music legends like Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson are also involved. They’ve also realized that the album contains covers of songs from Dolly as well as The Beatles and Chuck Berry.
