The ‘Cowboy Carter’ Herself, Beyoncé, Introduces Team USA In The 2024 Paris Olympics Commercial

The 2024 Paris Olympics games have begun. From Snoop Dogg’s carrying of the torch to Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, and Gojira’s trending performances, cameos featuring musicians are in abundance.

But in typical fashion, Beyoncé surprised the world with a patriotic promotional video that nearly crashed the internet. Yesterday (July 26), while after everyone processed the dazzling opening ceremony, NBC Olympics & Paralympics dropped their Team USA introduction video lead by none other than the Cowboy Carter herself, Bey.

In the visual, Beyoncé dressed in fully customized Americana regalia fit for the now reigning rodeo queen as a reimagined version of her song “Ya Ya” soundtracked the moment.

Beyoncé’s entry into country music, often viewed as the most red-blooded American genre, wasn’t exactly appreciated at the time. Despite the tension from naysayers, the Houston native preserved and make musical history along the way. The true American way.

This complex dynamic of who is considered to be a proper representation of America made its way into the promotional clip as Beyoncé said: “These hopes and dreams. These superstars that represent us. The people of this big, bold, beautiful, complicated nation.”

Call it what you want, but this type of alignment couldn’t have been more divine.

Tony Hale has had a mighty successful acting career. In fact, the actor stars in Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2, which is currently showing in theaters. However, none of this has quite impressed Hale’s daughter.

Yesterday (June 14), during an appearance on The Talk, Hale confessed that he found a way to earn some cool points with the help of Beyoncé.

To help kick off the Cowboy Carter rollout, the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer partnered with Verizon, for an internet-breaking Super Bowl LVIII commercial.

When asked by host Sheryl Underwood about keeping the secret from his certified Beyhive member daughter, Hale shared how hard it was. “So [when] I got this gig, I was like, ‘This is so cool,’” he said. “But I had to sign [some paperwork] so I couldn’t say anything. But my daughter had just been to Beyoncé’s [Renaissance] concert. Usually is super bored by what I do. She doesn’t care, and I had that [one thing] and I couldn’t say it. So she had to wait to see it on the Super Bowl.”

He then went on to reveal the exchange they had after the commercial aired. “I was out of town, unfortunately,” he said. “But she texted me and was like, ‘Dad?’ So I texted her an emoji of a bee. And I was like, ‘Yeah. I got it.’”

Is Beyoncé Announcing Her ‘Cowboy Carter’ Tour Soon?

Beyoncé released Cowboy Carter in late March. The triumphant album is among Uproxx’s “Best Albums Of 2024 So Far,” so it’s somehow easy to forget that Beyoncé spent last year conducting the world-beating Renaissance World Tour, which resulted in Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé and a reported $579 million gross. Perhaps because Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour was such a spectacular success, the Beyhive needs to know whether to plan for another tour in support of Cowboy Carter.

Is Beyoncé Announcing Her Cowboy Carter Tour Soon?

The short answer is that Beyoncé has not announced a tour in support of Cowboy Carter, and if there is a tour to announce, we will know when Beyoncé is ready for us to know.

But the rumor mill will always churn regardless, and rumors are hot that Beyoncé will announce a tour soon. It’s mostly reckless speculation, as tends to be the case with fan activity online. Earlier this month, Live Nation posted about a “big announcement coming tomorrow,” and people assumed that it would concern a Beyoncé Cowboy Carter Las Vegas residency because the Instagram photo involved a cowboy hat, but it turned out to be about Lainey Wilson. So, yeah, take the below posts with the biggest possible grain of salt.

Beyonce & JAY-Z’s Lack Of Recent Public Appearances Linked To Alleged Diddy Friendship By Industry Insider

Beyonce and JAY-Z should be making more public appearances right now according to one music industry insider for Page Six. Despite the release of Beyonce’s ambitious eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter, just over two months ago, the legendary singer has shied away from the public eye in recent weeks. The couple’s lack of attention comes after CNN published footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie at a hotel in 2016, last month. They’ve maintained a public friendship with the Bad Boy mogul over the years though there is nothing connecting either JAY or Beyonce to any of the misconduct allegations levied against Diddy. Page Six reports the two could be laying low to avoid bad publicity.

“This was supposed to be Beyonce’s time, with her much-anticipated country album out [just] two months ago. And yet, she is nowhere to be seen. The album is slipping and Jay and B aren’t reveling in the spotlight,” one source that the outlet described as “shocked” said. “About a month before the [March 29] release, Jay-Z got up at the Grammys and whined that Beyoncé had never won Album of the Year. But now what? Does he think she will win . . . for ‘Cowboy Carter’ with no promotion . . . no appearances and no wooing of the academy?”

The insider added that, while the album isn’t a flop, “it’s definitely not the juggernaut everyone thought it would be.” They continued: “Something is going on. It came out with a bang. No. 1 everywhere. [Now] it and she have disappeared.” Beyonce dropped Cowboy Carter on March 29, 2024. It debuted at the top spot on the US Billboard 200 and several other global charts.

In addition to the controversy surrounding the video with Cassie, Diddy is under investigation by the Department of Homeland Security, which raided his homes in Los Angeles and Miami, earlier this year. Be on the lookout for further updates on Beyonce and JAY-Z as well as Diddy on HotNewHipHop.

Is Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter Tour’ A Las Vegas Residency?

Beyoncé nearly caused the world to stop yet again. This time, it isn’t the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer’s doing.

Today (June 2), Live Nation resparked rumors that Beyoncé will hit the road soon. Following the release of her latest album, Cowboy Carter (Renaissance Act II), fans began to prepare their Western outfit for a potential world tour.

Based on a post from the event promotion company, their efforts weren’t in vain. Continue below for more information.

Is Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter Tour’ A Las Vegas Residency?

On June 2, Live Nation took to their Las Vegas division’s official Instagram page to tease that a good ole rodeo would be headed to Sin City. “Vegas, hold your horses…wild horses, that is! Big announcement coming tomorrow,” wrote the company.

Immediately after the teaser was shared, the Beyhive swung into full action. Many jumped for joy at the thought of Beyoncé in Las Vegas (specifically The Sphere).

However, after the superfans did a bit more digging, their hopes were shattered when others claimed that the silhouette in the image might actually be Lainey Wilson.

A post the day prior showed on the company’s main page of Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again Tour seemingly confirmed users’ theory.

It doesn’t seem that there is any truth to the Beyoncé Las Vegas residency rumor. But don’t give up hope completely. Back in March, The-Dream hinted that a Cowboy Carter Tour was certainly in the works.

How To Buy Beyoncé’s Official ‘Cowboy Carter’ Vinyl

Yee-haw. Beyoncé’s album Cowboy Carter broke boundaries and set records when it was released, but when fans noticed that some of the songs were different from the streaming version of the album on the vinyl they’d pre-ordered, they certainly felt a way about it. But now, the vinyl is being reissued with the completed tracklist and is now available for pre-order. You can visit Beyoncé’s official shop to see the options available. Black, blue, red, and white variants are available and will come with two vinyl discs, a 40-page booklet featuring exclusive images, and a collectable 24×36″ poster. The default official vinyl version is $59.98.

When the initial versions of the vinyl rolled off the presses, they were allegedly missing five songs: “Ya Ya,” “Spaghettii,” “The Linda Martell Show,” “Oh Louisiana,” and “Flamenco.” However, on the new pressings, all five songs are present on the tracklist, which means that fans pre-ordering the vinyl now will get the complete album. The missing tracks were explained by fans as the result of Beyoncé still working on the album in the months leading up to its release, well after an initial version had already been submitted to manufacturers. Her last-minute tinkering may have generated some discrepancies, but since the album is already available digitally, fans could simply stream the album in full until now. Whatever wizardry it took to get the massive album onto the format may result in a new set of differences, but for now, we can look forward to the release.

Fans Are Raving About Post Malone’s Stagecoach 2024 Set And Hope That Country Music Is His Final Frontier

Country music fans don’t quite have a reputation for being the most welcoming. However, this year’s Stagecoach (the genre’s largest festival) debunked that myth featuring an abundance of genre newbies and outside sounds.

Since the lineup for Stagecoach 2024 was announced, ticketholders were interested to see what Post Malone would bring to the main stage. Many hoped that he’d bring out his “Levii’s Jeans” collaborator, Beyoncé, for a surprise performance. Although that didn’t happen, yesterday (April 27), Post’s set still managed to win viewers over.

Joined by Dwight Yoakam, Brad Paisley, and Sara Evans, users at home are gung ho about Post moving full steam ahead with his venture into country. Across X (formerly Twitter), viewers flooded the platform to praise Post’s performance.

“If Post Malone takes these country covers on the road, take all of my money. That was badass,” wrote one user.

“I could have watched Post Malone play for hours,” penned another.

“Just saw Post Malone’s Stagecoach set was all 90s/2000s country. I will never recover from this 😭,” wrote another.

Paisley also took to his official page to share a kind note to his creative companion. “You belong here Posty 🤠,” he wrote.

NLE Choppa Shows Love To Beyonce: “She Literally Shifting Music”

NLE Choppa showed love to Beyonce on Twitter, Friday night, after listening to her new album, Cowboy Carter. He says the legendary singer is “shifting music” with her genre experimentation and venture into country. “Beyonce I just want to say appreciate the country album, she literally shifting music,” he wrote. “All the labels looking for country records because of the shift she’s started just by this album. And even inspiring me, people who look like me, to step outside the box as an urban artist.” He ended the post with a heart emoji.

In response, many of his fans expressed a similar reaction. “Beyonce’s ability to transcend genres is truly remarkable. she continues to break barriers and inspire artists across all spectrums,” one user wrote. Another added simply: “exactly king.”

Not all of the response to Cowboy Carter has been so positive. Courtney Love recently admitted that, while she likes Beyonce, she didn’t like the album. “I like the idea of Beyonce doing a country record because it’s about Black women going into spaces where previously only white women have been allowed, not that I like it much. As a concept, I love it. I just don’t like her music,” the Hole singer explained to Standard. Before that, Azaelia Banks made headlines for criticizing Beyonce’s project. “Sis, I live for Whiteyonce Donatella Bianca Bardot DOWN, but I’m kind of ashamed at how [you] switch from Baobab trees and Black Parade to this literal pick me stuff,” she wrote on Instagram back in March.

Is Beyoncé Going To Perform At Stagecoach 2024?

beyonce

Now that Coachella is in the rearview, Indio, California is bracing itself for the OTHER major festival that takes over the Empire Polo Club in the spring, Stagecoach. The country music festival has a wide-ranging lineup this year that not only includes country mainstays like Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Morgan Wallen, and Willie Nelson but also has neophytes and unusual additions like Jelly Roll, Post Malone, and even Wiz Khalifa.

There’s one more star fans expect to see even though her name isn’t on the flyer: Beyoncé. But why?

Well, for one thing, last month, Beyoncé released her Great American Songbook-influenced album, Cowboy Carter, which spans genres from blues to hip-hop to yes, country music. While it was thought to be a country album by many fans ahead of its release, it takes influences from across the spectrum of American music; with that said, there’s enough Americana, folk, and country music on it that Beyoncé wouldn’t be out of place at Stagecoach (at least, not any more than Diplo and Nickelback, who are also on the bill somehow).

Meanwhile, plenty of the folks on the lineup directly contributed to Cowboy Carter, including Post Malone, Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, and Willie Nelson. But mainly, people think one name, Backwoods Barbie, might be a secret reference to a surprise Beyoncé pop-in.

According to Billboard, the only info on this mysterious act is an equally mysterious Instagram profile, birthed the same day that Cowboy Carter hit DSPs — and incidentally, it’s a Stagecoach lineup for Diplo’s Saturday night Honky Tonk set. Most of the account’s post contain references to Cowboy Carter, either overt (album art, song quotes) or oblique (photos of contributors like Dolly Parton). Also, there’s a “disco ball crossed with country Western” theme that just SCREAMS “Renaissance Trilogy.” At the very least, it seems likely to be someone at least affiliated with Bey (my money, were I a betting man, would be on a surprise Solange set).

Obviously, if Backwoods Barbie is Beyoncé, she’s not going to say anything beforehand (the crowd crush would be insane, for one thing). I guess the only way to know for sure is to show up at the spot marked on the map at 7pm on Saturday, April 27 (or wait for the inevitable deluge of social posts if it is her).
