While showing off his new album with Ty Dolla Sign, Kanye West played a collaboration with Young Thug in Miami at Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen on Sunday night. In one track, West remarks, “free Young Thug,” before also playing a verse from the incarcerated rapper. The evening comes after a surprise appearance at Art Basel.
When a clip of Ye previewing the Young Thug song began circulating on social media, fans had plenty of positive reactions. “This is the first time Kanye has ever actually let the beat drop when he played a teaser from one of his album. This is fire and I can’t wait to hear the full version!” one user wrote on Twitter. Another added: “Thug previewed this verse twice once in 2019 and once in 2021 but the beat is changed the og is gunna x thug prod Pierre.”
Kanye and Ty Dolla Sign shared their first single from the upcoming project, “Vultures,” in late November. The tracklist, which Ty shared on Instagram, last week, will also feature “New Body,” a popular unreleased song featuring Nicki Minaj. They didn’t note who else would be making appearances on the project. Check out the latest clips of Kanye in Miami below.
Kanye and Ty Dolla Sign haven’t provided a release date for the new effort, but they’ve been teasing it for months. It will be Kanye’s first release since facing a litany of antisemitism accusations in 2022. Be on the lookout for further updates on Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s new album on HotNewHipHop.
The Game says that “Hate It or Love It” was “the record that literally put me where I needed to be.” Reflecting on the making of the 50 Cent-assisted song during an interview with VladTV, The Game recalled the moment he knew it was a hit.
“When I did ‘Hate It or Love It,’ I did it in Connecticut at Tyson’s old mansion that 50 had bought from him and occupied at that point,” Game began. “When I first heard the beat from ‘Hate It or Love It,” Cool & Dre did the beat, and as soon as I heard the beat, my friendship, my brotherhood with Cool & Dre was forged for life because I knew as soon as I heard that beat where I was going after that. I already had success with ‘Westside Story’ as my street single. ‘How We Do’ was already climbing the Billboard charts, the album was already number one, so I knew for a fact. You know how people put out their first album and then they’re scared of the sophomore jinx? Once ‘Hate It or Love It’ dropped, I knew that I was cemented and I wasn’t going nowhere.”
Game also discussed his relationship with 50 Cent and how the rift between them came to be. He explained that, after reaching the top of the Billboard 200 chart, the level of success got to his head. In turn, he got a little too “cocky” at that point in his career.
The Game Reflects On “Hate It Or Love It”
Elsewhere in the interview, The Game discussed working with Eminem on his debut album, The Documentary, for the song, “We Ain’t,”, the album reaching the top of the Billboard 200 chart, and more. He described his Eminem collaboration as a “highlight of his career.” Be on the lookout for further updates on The Game on HotNewHipHop.
The Game says that working with Eminem on his debut album, The Documentary, for the song, “We Ain’t,” was one of the “highlights of his career.” The rapper reflected on the collaboration during a recent interview with VladTV.
“I went to 8 Mile. I went to Detroit and I stayed out there for about a week and we did the song out there,” The Game began. “Watching Eminem record and his whole recording process, that might’ve been one of the highlights of my career. I don’t know if you want to call it weird or legendary or some Einstein type of sh*t, evil genius type of sh*t, but Em is a very complex and different individual in good ways.”
He continued: “When he writes raps, he turns the paper around and he just writes in circles. When he reads it, he turns it back the opposite way– when we were using paper. I don’t know his recording process these days. He also, back in those days, Eminem would just eat Taco Bell and drink Mountain Dew like it was like Snoop would smoke weed. But, that process was dope. I’m forever grateful for being able to experience prime Eminem and his essence in Detroit. That’s one of the highlights of my career.” Check out the full comments from The Game on VladTV below.

Latto has been killing it as of late. Overall, she has delivered some incredible tracks this year. Moreover, she is someone who has gotten to work with a plethora of phenomenal artists. At this point, she is getting to a place in her career where she can work with almost anyone. She recently orchestrated an all-women cypher for XXL and she even got to chat with Forbes. These are huge moves for the artist, who is doing more than just dropping hits and consistent projects.
In her interview with Forbes, Latto was asked who would be her dream collaboration. Of course, there are plenty of amazing artists that one could choose from in this scenario. However, the artist that Latto chose is someone who hasn’t released an album in quite some time. That person just so happens to be Rihanna. She is someone who inspired a generation of artists, and Latto just so happens to be one of them.
“Business, RiRi. RiRi. I just feel like she touched our generation in a whole different way,” Latto said. “I feel like women like me who might have a little motion going on, she showed us that it’s possible for us to take it a whole different level. So definitely RiRi. Music and business. What’s up, RiRi? Call me girl. I did a song with Mariah Carey, I did a song with Christina Aguilera, I did a song with Lil Wayne. It’s so limitless, I feel like anything could happen.” This would be an incredible collab, and we would love to see it happen. Hopefully, Rihanna does hit Latto with that call.
Latto has been doing big things, and it is cool to see her having this massive moment. Let us know your expectations for a collab between her and Riri, in the comments section below. ASAP Rocky recently linked up with Westside Gunn and Gorillaz in the studio, leaving fans eager to learn what they were working on. Westside Gunn took to social media earlier this week to share some new photos from the session, teasing some upcoming music in the process. “In the studio all night with the Brodie @asvpxrocky I still can’t believe he had me in there with the @gorillaz and don’t ask if we cooked something….. OFCOURSE WE DID,” he wrote alongside various emojis.
While it’s unclear exactly what they could have on the way, it’s safe to say that fans can’t wait. Listeners are looking forward to hearing what the three acts have cooked up, speculating on how the collab could sound in his comments section. This isn’t the first exciting collabs the artists have worked on as of late, however.
Westside Gunn Shares Photos With ASAP Rocky & Gorillaz
Westside Gunn just joined forces with The Alchemist, Currensy, and Boldy James for a remix of “No Yeast” this week. Each rapper came through with a new verse for the remix. Earlier this week, ASAP Rocky’s inaugural F1 collection with Puma also dropped. Some fans have been worried about the NYC native and his family amid his current legal troubles. Luckily, he was just spotted enjoying a family outing with Rihanna and RZA.
Rocky’s been in court for allegedly shooting Terell “ASAP Relli” Ephron in November of 2021. He pleaded not guilty to two charges of assault with a semiautomatic firearm last year. Relli’s since sued him and his lawyer Joe Tacopina for alleged defamation due to various statements they’ve made to the press amid their legal battle. During his recent appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, 2 Chainz opened up about some of his previous collaborators. According to him, Dr. Dre was the toughest. He noted that while it was a “great experience,” he was incredibly meticulous, pushing him to do multiple takes until everything was perfect.
“I was trying to explain to Dr. Dre that a southern Black kid with an overbite is gonna sound different than a suburban white kid from Detroit,” 2 Chainz recalled. “We’re gonna enunciate stuff different. He be like, ‘Nah, say it like this.’ It was such a great experience.” He continued, explaining how he got fed up. “And he wants me to stack it. I might do one pass just my voice… He like, ‘Stack it again.’ I’m not good at saying the same thing the same way… ‘Damn, this is five times. I don’t normally [do this].’ I could be on another song at my own studio.”
Ultimately, 2 Chainz noted that Dr. Dre didn’t get to where he is for no reason. He also claims that the artist’s extra attention to detail is what ensures his success, adding that the session was something he had hoped would happen at some point in his life. “I get why he is where he is. He pays special attention to detail. He don’t go for the first thing that come up,” 2 Chainz described, “He really cares.”
“If I had to really zero down on the experience where the producer was literally sitting right here while I was trying to do my song, it would be Dr. Dre… I needed that experience, that was something on my bucket list,” he added. What do you think of 2 Chainz claiming that Dr. Dre is his most difficult collaborator? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on 2 Chainz and Dr. Dre.
Cam’ron says he used to have to force Juelz Santana to lock in and work on music when he was a teenager. Reflecting on their collaborative relationship during an interview on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, Cam explained how he’d get Santana motivated to write.
“We used to have to lock Juelz in the house, straight up and down, when he was 15, 16,” he said. “All them songs you hear, the bangers, was forced. [I’d be like], ‘Yo, write the song, my n***a. Write the song!’ But it got to the point where I can’t treat you… you’re a grown man now. I can’t yell at you. I can’t scream at you. All them hits. ‘Gangsta Music,’ ‘Santana’s Town,’ all the hot shit, ‘Hey Ma,’ was when we about to walk out to the club, we had a crib in Chicago. And he’d be like, ‘Come on.’ I’d be like, ‘You did that 16?’ He’d be like, ‘Uh…’ I said, ‘We’ll bring you a b*tch back. You’re not coming out until you finish the f*cking song.’ Straight like that. ‘We’ll bring you a hoe back and if you finished the 16, you can have her.’”
From there, Cam also recalled Santana planning to drop another album once he got out of his deal with Dipset in 2008, but it never materialized. “When we stopped working together, I’m not saying the work ethic got poor, but for some reason, it’s not translating into the public hearing it,” Cam said. “Like I said, you go to his page now, every month he’s saying something’s coming out, something’s coming out. And the reason I know this ‘cause I’m waiting. I’m a fan! I’m sitting here saying: ‘When’s the shit coming out?’ ‘Cause I would like to hear it!”
Cam’ron Discusses Dipset
While they haven’t spoken in some time, Cam says he still has love for Santana and considers him one of the best Harlem rappers of all time. Elsewhere in his appearance on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, Cam discussed potentially going on tour with Mase. Be on the lookout for further updates on Cam’ron on HotNewHipHop.
