Megan Thee Stallion Drops New Nike Collab “Hot Girl Systems”

Megan Thee Stallion is on top of the world right now. Last month, she released her hard-hitting new single “HISS” which immediately shot to the number one spot on the Hot 100. After three weeks on the charts the lethal track is still hovering in the top 20. Perhaps just as important, it’s massively outperforming “Big Foot,” the song Nicki Minaj recorded in response to “HISS.” Though the beef spilled into the weeks following both songs it seems to have mostly fizzled out since then.

Now, Megan Thee Stallion is shifting her focus away from new music and into the world of fashion. She’s collaborating with Nike on a new line of activewear called “Hot Girl Systems.” Much of the clothing in the collection is available from Megan’s own website. Included in the collection are multiple cropped tees, a bomber jacket, a body suit, sports bras, and biker shorts. The distinct looking pieces are already beginning to sell out from her website but they aren’t even the only pieces available. On Nike’s own website two new color variants of the Air Max 97’s called “Hot Girl” and “Something For Thee Hotties” were listed earlier today. Check out the full collection below.

Megan Thee Stallion celebrated her birthday earlier this month. She took to Twitter to share a stunning photo shoot. She paired a bright white body suit with an array of bright red flowers for a join Birthday and Valentine’s day celebration. A few days later she showed off the massive ring that she bought for herself as a birthday present.

Many fans are hoping that Megan drops a new album this year. Her last project Traumazine dropped back in 2022. She led off her potential new era last year when she dropped “COBRA” which many similarly described as a diss track, though that one was aimed at her ex-boyfriend Pardison Fontaine. During her acceptance speech at the ceremony on Sunday (February 18) in California, she thanked her fans for their ardent support. “Thank you, I wasn’t nervous until right now, but,” the 24-year-old said with a laugh. “Thank you so much! You know, this award means so much to me because it’s fan voted, and I love my fans. I wanna give a big thank you to my baby sister watching at home. Sienna, I love you so much. And I wanna thank my beautiful team, thank you so much to my manager, my producer, my label.

“Shoutout to all the brands I’ve collab’d with in the last year or so,” Ice Spice continued. “And shoutout to all the other nominees in this category. You guys are amazing and talented. Thank you so much!” What’s more is that she also had other reasons to celebrate her fellow celebrities’ awards recently. The Bronx hitmaker shouted out someone from her hometown, good friend Kai Cenat, for winning a streaming award.

50 Cent celebrated Dr. Dre’s 59th birthday on Instagram, on Sunday, and teased having “new heat” on the way with the legendary producer. “Happy Birthday to my boy Dre, we got some New Heat coming. @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi,” he captioned an old photo of the two of them.

While many fans expressed excitement at the idea of new music, plenty of users were pessimistic about the timeline for a release. “Hopefully it doesn’t take a decade to release something,” one follower commented. “He was working on Detox when that photo was taken. Still working on it,” another joked.

It’s not the first time 50 has confirmed he’s been in the studio with Dr. Dre. Back in 2023, he made a similar proclamation about new music from the two during an interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood. “As soon as I said that, I got a text from [Eminem] that he had already spoke to Dre, and that Dre is in there and he got some cr*zy stuff for me to go hear,” he said at the time. “This is my process: I’ll go make something, what I can find, the best music that I can put my hands on. Playboi Carti Tags Pharrell On IG Amid Collaboration Rumors

Playboi Carti tagged Pharrell on social media, amid rumors that the two are working on a collaboration. Taking to his Instagram Story on Sunday, Carti shared a clip of himself listening to the Rich Kidz song with Young Dro, “My Partna Dem.” He tagged Pharrell in the first post and later shared a screenshot of the legendary producer promoting “I Am Music.”

It’s not the first time the two have hinted at working together on social media either. Back in December, Pharrell similarly promoted, “I Am Music.” While neither has gone into details about what the project will be, Pharrell previously launched a “strategic consulting and creative collective” called “i am OTHER.”

While exact details of Carti’s next project remain unknown, he reflected on his recording process for the new music during an interview with Numéro Berlin in November. “I’ve been recording in Paris, I love Paris. Amazing,” he said at the time. “I was recording, in a cave, for like three months, and all the music that came out of that is just chaotic and crazy. Then, I’m in a glass house, somewhere in the hills, and the music there is just very good to the ears. And then, I’m in Atlanta and the tensions are just high and the music is biting. Killer Mike gave a shout-out to Kevin Durant on Twitter, Friday, in response to the Phoenix Suns star’s new collaboration with Stalley, “Scared Money.” The Grammy-winning rapper labeled Durant’s bars “slick” and congratulated him on the release.

“Shawty Smooth with the style and slick with the bars,” Mike wrote. “Bravo Brother.” Durant addressed the collaboration himself on Saturday while speaking with members of the media for All-Star Weekend. “I doubt I have an album dropping, I just do it for fun,” he revealed.

Stalley previously detailed how the collaboration came together during an interview with Billboard. “One day we was talking and he was like, ‘Yo bro, send me a record to hop on,’” he said, as caught by HipHopDX. “I had that [beat] sitting not for long [because] I was working on my album. I had just put the hook and verse on it and there was an open verse. I’m like, ‘I’ma send it to him and see what he thinks.’ He sent it right back. He sent it back faster than some rappers.” In addition to working on Stalley’s track, Durant also received an A&R credit on Drake’s For All The Dogs in 2023. USHER Discloses Longing Desire To Work With Justin Timberlake On New Music

No one can stop talking about USHER right now. But it is for good reason. The legendary R&B superstar has had a lot of important and exciting things going on in his life. If you were one of the few people who were not watching the Super Bowl this past weekend, he was the Halftime Show performer. To help celebrate that, he dropped his new album COMING HOME. Because of everything going on with him, everyone is reaching out for interviews. People got a hold of him and they talked about all the events in his life and one other unique topic. USHER was asked about Justin Timberlake and his willingness to work with him on new music.

It kind of makes sense why this question came up. Timberlake is an icon in his own right and was step for step with USHER in the early 2000s. Both had massive hits and even though they were/are fairly close no music has come out of their friendship. But, many painted them as rivals and USHER was asked about that. In fact, USHER doubled down by saying he has always wanted to work with JT. “I’ve always wanted to do a record with Justin and have reached out many times, but we’ve never managed to make it happen. I think that he’s an amazing performer.” Maybe that window of opportunity is open right now. Justin does have his new album, Everything I Thought It Was, on March 15, so maybe they can eek out a collab before it drops.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Team Up With Rich The Kid & Playboi Carti For “Carnival”

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s new album, Vultures 1, is finally here featuring a number of star-studded collaborations across its 16 tracks. One of the early standouts is “Carnival” featuring contributions from Rich The Kid and Playboi Carti. The song is getting plenty of attention for more than just its merits alone, with a headline-grabbing reference to Taylor Swift, a behind-the-scenes feud with Ozzy Osbourne, and more.

As for Swift, Ye raps in the third verse: “I made six Taylor Swift (Ha) since I had the Rollie on the wrist (Ha) / I’m the new Jesus, b*tch (Ha), I turn water to crist (Ha).” It’s not the first time he’s mentioned Swift. He made endless headlines in 2016 with the song, “Famous,” for similarly remarking that he’s the reason for her success.

Kanye West References Taylor Swift On “Carnival”

As for his back-and-forth with Osbourne, the singer was unhappy with West’s performance of “Carnival,” earlier this week, which featured a sample of a live cover of Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man” that the lead singer performed with his solo band in 1983. Osbourne took to social media to complain that he never gave permission for its usage. “.@KANYEWEST ASKED PERMISSION TO SAMPLE A SECTION OF A 1983 LIVE PERFORMANCE OF ‘IRON MAN’ FROM THE US FESTIVAL WITHOUT VOCALS & WAS REFUSED PERMISSION BECAUSE HE IS AN ANTISEMITE AND HAS CAUSED UNTOLD HEARTACHE TO MANY,” he wrote. “HE WENT AHEAD AND USED THE SAMPLE ANYWAY AT HIS ALBUM LISTENING PARTY LAST NIGHT. Lil Durk Names Beyonce As His Dream Collab Following First Grammy Win

This weekend was a big one for Lil Durk. Despite a long running and very successful career in rap music he continues to reach new peaks. Last year he had one of the biggest hits of his entire career with “All My Life” alongside J. Cole. The song peaked at #2 on the Hot 100, landed on the year-end Hot 100, and has nearly 300 million streams on Spotify. And on Sunday the track earned Durk his first ever Grammy when it took home a win for Best Melodic Rap Performance.

In an interview with Billboard after the win he discussed a variety of topics. One of the questions posed to Durk was about who his dream collaborator is. Seemingly with his first Grammy win in mind, he thought of the most-awarded artist in the shows long history, Beyonce. “It’s a few, but I gotta go see Beyoncé one day. Got to. That means I’ll be back” he joked. Bey wasn’t nominated for any new Grammys this year, but last year she won 4 which broke the record putting her at 32 total, the most all time. Earlier today, Drake and J. Cole released a big update about their joint “It’s All A Blur” tour. The first leg of the tour took place last year and saw Drake alongside 21 Savage. But now in addition to J. Cole, the tours 2024 dates will also feature performances from Lil Durk.

During his Grammy interview Durk also teased another interesting possibility. He joked about doing an entire collaborative album with country singer Morgan Wallen. The pair have already collaborated twice before. Today, the clothing brand and two other legends are teaming up for an exciting campaign in the spring. According to HipHopDX, KITH will be dropping a spring clothing collection, along with an accompanying soundtrack.
