Flee Lord & Conway The Machine Lyrically Spar On Crisis-Produced “Drum Mobb”

Flee Lord and Crisis did a great job promoting their now-released collaborative project Full Court Press. They did so about a week ago with the basketball-inspired “Play Amongst The Stars.” It featured one of the greatest lyricists of all-time, Inspectah Deck, as well. This is something that the rapper and producer duo is known for. Their love of basketball was prevalent on their previous team effort 2-3 Zone. So, you can view this latest album as a sequel of sorts. Today, we wanted to highlight Flee Lord and Crisis’ track “Drum Mobb.”

This is another one of the plentiful collaborative tracks on the record. Speaking of features, listeners will find artists like Trizz, Tiona Deniece, Mummz, and Conway the Machine. Additionally, Full Court Press has 13 tracks at just a runtime of 38 minutes and change. Furthermore, Flee Lord and Conway are no strangers by any means with each other.

This is now one of over 10 meet ups, so you know the chemistry is already going to be there. Sure enough it is and both provide some hard-hitting and catchy flows. Additionally, each rapper hits a nice pocket in the Crisis beat that goes hard with the drum pattern. Conway especially brings a fun performance with his drawn out “o” sounds. Be sure to check out Flee Lord and Crisis’ new album and this track.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “Drum Mobb,” by Flee Lord, Crisis, and Conway the Machine? Is this the best song off of Full Court Press, why or why not? Who had the stronger rapping performance on the track and why? Is this Crisis’ strongest instrumental on the project, why or why not? Blac Youngsta Grabs Label Signees For Collaborative Tape “Blac Youngsta Presents: Heavy Camp, Checkmate”

Blac Youngsta is easily one of the more prolific rappers from Memphis, Tennessee. The 33-year-old label head is back once again to follow up a recent drop. Unfortunately, his last record came during an agonizing time. Youngsta was dealing with the loss of his brother at the hands of a shooter at a local gas station.

Of course, Blac grieved the way most artists do, which is to make some music about their loved ones. That theme was quite heavy on Blac Sheep 2, a sequel to the original dropped months before it. He still was able to bring some turnt tracks though. We continue to wish Blac Youngsta, as well as his family and friends, the very best going forward.

Hus KingPin And 9th Wonder Combine Their Talents To Become “The Supergoat”

Two standouts in the underground scene have just come together for a brand-new collaborative tape. Brooklyn, New York rapper Hus KingPin, and Winston-Salem, North Carolina producer 9th Wonder present to us The Supergoat. For Hus, this is his tenth project in less than a year. 2023 was another massively productive year for the wordsmith.

From February 7 to December 15, Hus KingPin put in his head down and hustled to get out nine tapes. Two of them were joint efforts. Bolio EPetersen saw he and M.W.P. work alongside each other. Then, SmooVth, who is also featured on this new project, joined Hus on Paid In Full. For 9th Wonder, this follows-up his gargantuan 55-song instrumental endeavor, Bladey Mae (Grandma’s Blades), which was a Christmas Day release.

Boldy James Raps Like A Gangster On Nicholas Craven-Produced Album “Penalty Of Leadership”

Boldy James is always willing to drop a new album at the drop of a hat. One of the best lyricists from the South, he is bringing it once again on his 18th overall project. The 41-year-old rapper likes to work with a partner in crime. This time, the person that is joining him on his gritty journey is Nicholas Craven.

The Canadian producer is no stranger to Boldy, though. These two ultra-talented and detail-oriented undergrounders first worked on a tape back in late September 2022. Together, they put the concise Fair Exchange No Robbery. So, it is nice to see them rekindle their work relationship on Penalty of Leadership.

ZAYSKII Gives Us A Small Glimpse Into His Lifestyle On “Um” From Zaytoven-Produced Album “I’m The One”

Now that Zaytoven is entering the latter stages of his career (even though he has not lost a step), he has been shifting his focus a bit. Of course, he is still working with the best of the best like Gucci Mane, Quavo, Lil Durk, and more. But, he is going back to where he found his passion for music, the Church. Very soon, Zay will be dropping a collaboration album with gospel rapper 1K Phew, who hails from Atlanta. On January 19 Pray For Atlanta will be available.

One of the other ways Zaytoven is moving on from the constant big-time collabs is by working alongside his son. His stage name is ZAYSKII and he has just come out with his debut album, I’m The One. It is a seven-song offering with production credits from his pops. We have covered the tape pretty extensively already, but we wanted to bring your attention to one other track.

Listen To “Um” By ZAYSKII And Zaytoven

As expected, ZAYSKII is still figuring out his sound. He is just 18 years old so its practice makes perfect at this point. But one thing he has nailed is the ability to create some catchy auto-tuned melodies. He does that on the closing track “Um.” This is one of the deeper and more personal cuts. It shows a small look at the type of life the young rapper is living. Some of the writing gets a little sloppy, but with his legendary father by his side, he has the tools to succeed.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new song, “Um,” by ZAYSKII and Zaytoven? Is this the best song from his debut album, I’m The One? After hearing this project, do you think ZAYSKII has what it takes to become a star in the next few years? Does this song have the best beat on it? If not, which one would you take over it? Where do you rank Zaytoven amongst the greatest producers of all time? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding ZAYSKII and Zaytoven. Finally, stay with us for the most informative song posts throughout the week.

NLE Choppa Brings Another Grizzly But Well-Written Track With “Purge On Em” Featuring DJ BOOKER

I think many would agree that when NLE Choppa goes ballistic on a track, he is at his absolute best. Well, that is this case tenfold on a new song he and DJ BOOKER just came by with. You can find it on their album fresh off the presses, The Chosen Ones. It is a collaborative album that features seven tracks and zero features.

A fair amount of the songs in the tracklist are handled production-wise by BOOKER. However, this is more of a Choppa track than anything else. “Purge On Em” was the second single ahead of the release. The first was “Mem,” which actually came out in 2022. “Purge On Em” was produced by Pluto Beats and Yokarza.

Listen To “Purge On Em” By NLE Choppa And DJ BOOKER

NLE hits a familiar pocket on this track, however, it is slowed down a bit. As we mentioned, the Memphis rapper is spitting murderously across this one. “All black attire, I cover my tats / And if I see a opp, I’ma slam like Shaq / Last n**** play with the gang, swear to god we left that boy limbs detached.” It is the closer and might be the most well-written song on the LP. You can hear it for yourself with the link above.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new song, “Purge On Em,” by NLE Choppa and DJ BOOKER? Is this the best track off of The Chosen Ones, why or why not? After hearing this album, should these two continue to collaborate more in the near future? What songs are you gravitating toward from the first couple of listens? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Conway The Machine, Wun Two, And Goosebytheway Collaborate For Irresistible Cut “Cold Dish”

Conway the Machine and Wun Two have just come through with a new tape right before the holiday season comes to a close. The Buffalo product has been constantly hard at work. In 2023, he has five total projects to show for it. This newest one is called Palermo.

We have covered this project extensively. Four songs were a part of its rollout, so there is not a ton of new material here. Conway and Wun Two’s collaboration album is just 10 songs and another two of them are either interludes or skits. However, there is a track we would like to draw your attention to if you are going to check this LP out.

Listen To “Cold Dish” By Conway the Machine, Wun Two, And Goosebytheway

“Cold Dish” features a hook from Goosebytheway, before Conway comes into rap one verse. The production might be the best element here. It has this entrancing feeling, with an alluring saxophone loop. Wun Two makes you feel as if you are a gangster or mysterious man walking down an alley late at night. After Conway is done rapping, they do the smart thing by letting the beat ride out the rest of the way. You can check out the song above.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new song, “Cold Dish,” by Conway the Machine, Wun Two, and Goosebytheway? Do you believe this is the best cut from Palermo, why or why not? If not, what track would you put above it and why? Is this Conway’s best album of 2023? Where does it rank amongst the rest of the collaboration tapes he has done in the past?
