G-Eazy, Coi Leray, & Kaliii Are Searching For A Night Of Debauchery On “Femme Fatale”

Over the course of G-Eazy’s c areer, the Oakland, California MC has received a fair amount of criticism. Some of that comes from his “corny” writing or “bland” tracks. Most see him as a club banger artist, which is not a bad way to go about making music. He has differentiated his sound as well, but it seems the majority go for the high-octane cuts. So today, G-Eazy is back with a new offering in that space with “Femme Fatale.”

The song’s theme is about men and women both participating in the hedonistic lifestyle. Sex work is a big focus here too, and it is made apparent through the sample flip of the classic song from 20th Century Steel Band, “Heaven and Hell Is on Earth.” The lyrics, “Everyone’s got to make a livin’,” kicks “Femme Fatale” off, before bleeding into the verse from G-Eazy. “No prejudice (Nah), I’m a feminist (Yeah)No judgement ’cause everybody has to make a little, uh.”

Listen To “Femme Fatale” By G-Eazy, Coi Leray, & Kaliii

He raps from the male perspective, then the features, Coi Leray, and Kaliii, give their side of things. Leray’s verse is gaining some attention already, especially where she says, “And all I drop is hits, baby, I don’t drop tears.” With all of that being said, the feedback on this song, which is supposedly starting an album rollout, has mostly been negative. The general consensus is that “club bangers” are not really blowing up anymore, G-Eazy needs to go back to his old sound, and songs that are all about sex need to stop. But what do you think? Check out the track for yourself and join in on the conversation.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Femme Fatale,” by G-Eazy, Coi Leray, and Kaliii? Is this one of the best songs he has put out as of late, why or why not? What is your favorite element of the track and why? Who had the stronger performance on the track and why? Do you think G-Eazy has a new album on the way? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Quotable Lyrics:

G-Eazy want a bite and I could see in his eyes (Yeah)
But slow down, don’t rush, baby, give it some time (Take your time)
Say he wanna disappear (Yeah)
Told him, I don’t do commercial flights, only lears (What else?)
Started at the bottom pier and now I’m top tier
And all I drop is hits, baby, I don’t drop tears

G-Eazy Returns From His Long Hiatus With The Seductive ‘Femme Fatale’ Featuring Coi Leray And Kaliii

Just when you probably found yourself wondering, “Where the heck is G-Eazy?” the man himself returns with a new single to show you: he’s been in the studio. On the new track, “Femme Fatale,” he was accompanied by a pair of companions whose presence played perfectly with the title: Coi Leray and Kaliii. Opening with the familiar vocal intro from 20th Century Steel Band’s oft-sampled “Heaven And Hell Is On Earth,” the track quickly pivots to Gerald’s signature Bay Area bounce and the three rappers spitting sleazy verses about stepping out for some sexual activities. The new single is accompanied by a vizualizer of G-Eazy’s face — complete with Starchild-esque makeup — projected on a nude woman’s body.

“Femme Fatale” represents the first time fans have heard from the Berkeley, California native since last April when he appeared on Vic Mensa’s “Swish” with Chance The Rapper. It’s Eazy’s first single as the primary artist since “Tulips And Roses” a month before. One potential reason for his absence from the spotlight could be the death of his mother in late 2021; one of the few songs he’s released since then was the loving tribute “Angel.” If G-Eazy is looking to release a new album soon, it’ll be his first since 2021’s These Things Happen Too, his sixth studio album, which featured appearances from Demi Lovato, E-40, EST Gee, Jack Harlow, Lil Wayne, Tyga, YG, and more.

Jhene Aiko Announces Massive “Magic Hour” Tour

R&B darling Jhene Aiko is officially taking off on tour. The singer has recruited an impressive cast of guests and opening acts for a tour that will get underway later this year. Coi Leray, Tink, UMI, and Kiana Lede are all listed as “co-stars” on her upcoming dates. The tour will begin in mid June and run for months until late August making 27 stops across the US. While she hasn’t released an official new album since 2021, she’s got a robust back catalog to unpack across the entire tour.

Earlier this month, Jhene Aiko found herself in some hot water with Ariana Grande fans. That came when she seemed to take shots at the pop singer’s new album eternal sunshine on Instagram. Many think it has something to do with the fact that Ariana is exes with Jhene’s current partner Big Sean.

Benzino Still Thinks His Arch-Enemy Eminem ‘Sucks,’ Despite What He Drunkenly Confessed In A Recent Viral Clip

Just when the public thought Benzino’s longstanding disdain for Eminem was over, the decades-long feud is right back on and more heated than ever. On February 17, Benzino appeared on the Drink Champs podcast. After hours of enjoying the adult beverages on set, Benzino somewhat drunkenly confessed that he didn’t have anything “against Eminem” and that he actually believes “[Eminem] can rap.”

Ultimately, he vowed not to address the tension anymore as he felt that it impacted his daughter, Uproxx cover star Coi Leray’s career. But that promise has since been spoiled. During a sit down with The Art of Dialogue on February 21, Benzino, a.k.a. “The Eminem Slayer,” shared that he still thinks his arch-emeny sucks.

“‘Rap Elvis’ already destroyed him,” he said. “I already killed him with ‘Rap Elvis.’ Where’s he at? Where’s the response? I want to battle him face-to-face. I think he’s overrated. I think he sucks as a rapper. And it’s f*ck anybody that’s with him. I bombed on him. I’m going to continue to bomb on him. I’m going to continue to expose him.”

Drunk mouths are supposed to speak a sober mind. But in Benzino’s case, it appears to have been the exact opposite.

Watch the full interview above.

Overwhelmed With Emotion Benzino Reflected On How His Beef With Eminem Has Impacted His Daughter Coi Leray

Beef is a permanent dish on hip-hop’s menu; anyone can be served a heaping helping. While time can sometimes aid in relationship mending, that’s not always the cause for rappers. Benzino and Eminem’s longstanding feud is a prime example of this. In the past few weeks alone, they’ve each dropped disses toward the other. So, during Benzino’s recent appearance on Drink Champs, the host couldn’t help but ask about it.

Throughout the episode uploaded on February 17, Benzino took several jabs at Eminem. At one point, he even implied that Eminem’s rise to fame in rap was due to him being white. However, near the end of the sit down (the 2-hour 34-minute mark), Benzino, overwhelmed with emotion and alcohol, reflected on how his issue with Eminem has impacted his daughter Uproxx cover star Coi Leray.

“I don’t have nothing against Eminem,” he said. “He can rap, but I care about us more. I don’t want to talk about it no more,” he said. “My daughter came to industry figuring ‘I gotta be cool with Eminem because everybody is against my dad. I don’t hate Eminem. I don’t know him to hate him. I don’t hate white people tired of this sh*t, man. It’s just too much. I don’t want to be the bad guy.”

Leray previously spoke about how Benzino’s past mix-ups could have derailed her career, including her guest verse from Nicki Minaj on “Blick Blick.”

Coi Leray Strikes Fans With Cupid’s Arrow In New Savage X Fenty Lingerie Collab

There are a lot of musical artists that have multiple lanes to make money. Whether it be because of their outside passions or physical appearance they set themselves up for even more success outside of one avenue. Just look at Rihanna for example. She was able to market her interest in fashion and beauty to create Savage X Fenty. It is now one of the biggest companies in the industry. Another artist who could similarly follow her path is Coi Leray. While she does catch more flak than RiRi, she can certainly replicate some of that success.

Over the past couple of years or so, Coi Leray has not been afraid to flex her body and physical appearance on the internet. She has gone nude for some pictures and done some crazy flexible poses as well. The confidence she has in her physique that she has worked for has given her tons of modeling opportunities. Some examples include SNIPES and Louis Vuitton.
