Luenell Wants “Club Shay Shay” Interview, Shoots Her Shot With Shannon Sharpe

Luenell had a risque proposal for Shannon Sharpe as she declared her intention to appear on Club Shay Shay. “Hey @clubshayshay, I like private planes too. Lemme [know if you want] a lil mid-air kitty kat (meow). Oh well, we can talk about it when I come on the show one day,” the comedian posted on Instagram. “@clubshayshay @shannonsharpe84 #LueNatiks tag him & let him know I stand on BUSINESS,” she added as a rallying cry caption.

Luenell’s offer comes as the world continues to come to terms with the interview done by her School Dance co-star Katt Williams. Williams went absolutely scorched earth on the entertainment industry, especially taking aim at the likes of Ludacris and Kevin Hart. After the interview went live (and immediately viral), Sharpe took The Nightcap that he knew Williams was going to be the one that broke the internet.

Katt Williams Hits Ludacris With A Freestyle As Club Shay Shay Beef Continues

Meanwhile, Williams has continued to feud with Luda weeks after the interview dropped. Williams dropped a freestyle aimed at Luda while appearing on Suge Knight’s Collect Call podcast. “I’m coming for your number one spot, one of us a killer and the other one is not/ One of us the realest and the other one a fraud/ You heard the interview on ‘Club Shay Shay,’ I gave ’em all a payday/ I’m still going f-cking viral so who care what the haters say/ Ludacris, you must be out your rabid a– mind/ You made a rap song but, n-gga, you ain’t say I’m f-cking lying,” Williams rapped. Furthermore, Williams implied that Ludacris had engaged in a sexual relationship with Quincy Jones.

Previously, Ludacris had dropped a freestyle aimed at Williams after the comedian suggested that Luda had earned his role in the Fast & Furious franchise after participating in an Illuminati ritual. “So there was a crossroads where we were both invited to an Illuminati thing, and it had to be one or the other of us and decisions had to be made. So it was both of us, we were equal. One of us had to cut off all their hair and couldn’t do the sideburn thing no more, with the points. And the next person they said was going to get $200 million because they were going to pay him $10 million a movie to do 20 movies. And that’s how the conversation happened. One of those persons turned out to be Ludacris, and the other person turned out to be Katt Williams,” Williams claimed.

Kountry Wayne’s “Club Shay Shay” Interview Addresses Jess Hilarious Marriage Situation & Much More

31-year-old Jess Hilarious has already been in the news a lot so far this year. Mostly due to the seemingly false promise that she’ll be permanently taking on the coveted spot of The Breakfast Club co-host alongside Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy. At this point, even the former isn’t sure what’s happening with the show, though he’s made it clear he’s not interested in rotating through a roster of co-hosts again. Elsewhere, a former lover of the comedian’s, Kountry Wayne, had plenty to say about her during his Club Shay Shay interview.

Anyone who tuned into Shannon Sharpe’s last episode with Katt Williams was expecting big things from the podcaster. Thankfully, he and Wayne delivered, with the latter speaking beautifully about putting his own aspirations on the sideline in order to focus on his children. When talking about his former fling with Hilarious, the Praise This actor suggested that past rumours of her being unaware of his marital status weren’t true.

“Jess, like I always told her, she never tells the 100% truth, and I let her do that,” Wayne told Sharpe. “I text Jess the other day, I said, ‘Jess, man,’ I got kinda petty. I said, ‘You gotta get more going on in your career so they can stop bringing up my name,’” he added, seemingly pushing his ex to further her career instead of living in the past. “Man, a lot of [what] she talk about, I let it slide. But, man, that stuff ain’t play out like that man.”

How Katt Williams Became Comedy’s Truth-Teller

Comedian Katt Williams kicked off 2024 with an explosive interview on Club Shay Shay. In the now-viral interview, Katt dished out scathing hot takes on everything from Kevin Hart to Kanye West, Steve Harvey, and beyond. The nearly three-hour-long video has shaken pop culture as we know it, and invigorated Katt’s image within the comedy world, opening his back catalog of material up to a whole new generation of fans. What the younger viewers may not know, however, is that Katt Williams has been a comedy mainstay for decades now, with enough hilarious stand-up specials to fill a days-long binge, and enough film and television roles to rival it. Here’s a look into the life and career of the comedy truth-teller.

Early Life And Career Origins

Katt Williams was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1971. The comedian was raised in a home of strict Jehovah’s Witnesses, prompting him to seek legal emancipation at the age of 13. Though Katt was incredibly young at the time of his emancipation, he credits his penchant for reading and thirst for learning new things as primary foundations for his success. After leaving his family home as a teenager, Williams joined a traveling circus and began honing his craft as a comedian while sleeping on park benches.

By 1999, Katt Williams had established a burgeoning comedy career, eventually leading him to meet the casting team for the hit 2002 film Friday After Next. While reflecting on Katt’s casting, the film’s director Marcus Raboy stated, “When our casting director found Katt, I think he was living in his car. He had this shock of hair, like he had put his fingers in an electric outlet, and his front teeth were missing. He was like a wild character. In many ways, he stole the show. When Katt is focused, there’s nothing quite like him.”

Film And Television Roles

After landing the role of Money Mike in Friday After Next, Katt Williams would go on to appear in a host of major projects, consistently stealing the show with his unique persona and trademark comedic delivery. Williams lent his voice to the hit Adult Swim animated series The Boondocks as A Pimp Named Slickback, making a lasting impression on audiences with his hilarious take on the material. Before long, Williams would come to star in films such as Epic Movie, Norbit, First Sunday, and Scary Movie V.

More recently, Katt has appeared in bit parts in popular television series such as The Last O.G., Black-ish, and Atlanta. Though many fans are familiar with the comedian through his larger-than-life performances, his most prolific work is on the stage.

Prolific Stand-Up Career

Since taking the stage for his first full-length stand-up special in 2006, Katt Williams has released over a dozen 1-hour specials, each to raucous laughter heard around the world. Many of his early specials continue to build on his “pimp” aesthetic developed in roles like Money Mike and A Pimp Named Slickback. Williams has made deals with HBO, Comedy Central, Netflix, and a number of other distributors to release one of the most prolific stand-up comedy catalogs in the history of the industry. The comedian even appeared as a fictionalized version of himself in the video game Grand Theft Auto IV, performing stand-up comedy to an audience of Liberty City patrons.

Throughout his career, Katt Williams has seen his fair share of controversy, but as he states in his Club Shay Shay interview, he has receipts for all of his claims. His comedy often aims at political structures, societal norms, and conspiracy theories. Whether he’s calling out fellow comedians for joke theft, or dismantling radio hosts live on the air, Katt Williams is a hilarious performer with a razor-sharp wit and a known desire for exposing the truth.

Tony Yayo Likens Katt Williams Interview To Tupac’s “Hit ‘Em Up”

Tony Yayo feels like Katt Williams unloaded a clip on the comedic world during his Club Shay Shay interview, similar to how Tupac targetted his foes on “Hit Em Up.” During a recent interview with Vlad TV, Tony Yayo chimed in on Katt Williams’ salacious conversation with Shannon Sharpe. The G-Unit rapper claimed that Katt Williams is almost like 50 Cent of the comedy world, especially when it comes to providing his unfiltered thoughts on current affairs.

Katt Williams general approach to comedy is undoubtedly why it resonates with people across the board. Yayo explained that the Friday After Next actor “says what he wants to say,” though his respect for Williams increased after witnessing the comedian get into the zone at 50 Cent’s show in Atlanta. He explained that Williams has the ability to turn his negative situations into a positive, such as when he got beat up by a 14-year-old and later, cracked jokes about the incident during a Brooklyn show.

Katt Williams Delivered The “Hit Em Up” Of Comedy

Although Tony Yayo says that he appreciates all of the other comedians that Williams dissed during the interview, he said that Katt remains unapologetically himself. While comparing the interview to Tupac’s “Hit Em Up,” he added that he relates to Williams. “He’s gon’ say what he wants to say,” Yayo said. “I’m like that. I say what I want to say, some people are just like that. What does he got to lose? He’s already a millionaire. He’s rich already.”

Katt Williams interview on Club Shay Shay has racked up 37 million views since its release last week. Throughout the interview, Williams slams a number of comedians, such as Tiffany Haddish, Kevin Hart, and others for their comedic chops. Although his feud with Hart garnered the most amount of attention, Williams recently revealed that he was going to go on tour with Kevin’s ex-wife, Torrei. We’ll see how that plays out. For now, check out Tony Yayo’s interview with Vlad above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments below.

Boosie BadAzz has come to the defense of Katt Williams after the comedian’s explosive interview on the Club Shay Shay podcast. Speaking about the drama stemming from the conversation with Shannon Sharpe on Instagram Live, Boosie recalled Williams gifting him $15,000 after he got out of prison.

After beginning by saying he’s got nothing to say about the situation, he added: “I know he a real n***a to me. Like I say bro, I came home, I ain’t had nothing. The man invited me to his concert. I mean front-row seats. When I was leaving, he gave me $15,000.” From there, Boosie recalled plenty of other celebrities remarking, “Free Boosie,” during his time behind bars, but not keeping the same supportive energy when he got out.

Katt Williams Clarifies Rumor About Helping Migos Amid Finacial Struggles

Katt Williams says he can’t remember the Migos ever being “financially unsuccessful” and, in turn, shot down a rumor about helping them out amid money troubles. He discussed the story during a recent appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast that is producing headline after headline.

“I don’t think we ever as a nation can remember a time that the Migos were financially unsuccessful so for the record, I would assume that they’ve never needed Katt Williams’ financial assistance for anything. I’m sure that between QC the label and other things they were taken of. On the other hand, if I was given the opportunity to help them, would I? Of course I would. That’s what I do. I’m a pro-Black, non-racist. I really, really love Black people but I don’t love them more than other people. I love everybody. I’m a Black guy and I try to stick with that.”

It’s not for any of that. I’m just doing it because it’s good to do.” Check out Katt Williams’ full appearance on Club Shay Shay below.

Katt Williams Allegedly Pulled A Gun On Faizon Love

In a reposted VladTV segment from 2019, Faizon Love recalls how Katt Williams once pulled a gun on him. Williams and Love were beefing over money Williams reportedly owed Love. However, Love revealed that things went to a dark place when he tried to collect. Furthermore, Love recalled Williams urging Suge Knight to take Love out. Obviously, things did not go further than that but it’s still an incident that has stuck with Love.

The clip was reposted amid Love’s comments on Williams’ recent Club Shay Shay interview. “It’s hard to address lunacy, and hypocrisy, and downright ignorance. But it’s so funny how many people think this dumb, stupid motherf-cker is spittin’ truth. But that’s the internet I guess, you guys want to believe in something so bad. Listen to what he’s saying, he’s actually calling for help. He’s calling for help. None of the sh-t he says lines up with nothing,” Love said.

Charleston White Calls Reaction To Katt Williams Interview “Some Crazy Sh*t”

Meanwhile, Charleston White has called the overall reaction to Katt Williams’ explosive interview on Club Shay Shay “some crazy sh-t”. In particular, White took note of Ludacris‘ reactions to the comments Williams made about the rapper and actor. “That n-gga responded with a jingle! You know he guilty when he responding to you while a whole rap song,” White gleefully said.

Williams claimed that he was originally in the running for Luda’s role in the Fast & Furious franchise but that a “deal” was made that landed Luda $200 million for 20 films and also somehow set up the rapper with his wife. “So there was a crossroads where we were both invited to an Illuminati thing, and it had to be one or the other of us and decisions had to be made. So it was both of us, we were equal. One of us had to cut off all their hair and couldn’t do the sideburn thing no more, with the points,” Williams alleged.

Katt Williams Is “Calling For Help,” Faizon Love Theorizes After “Club Shay Shay” Appearance

Katt Williams’ appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast has made countless headlines over the past couple of days for the comedian’s wild takes on several of his celebrity peers. He went in on Rickey Smiley, Kevin Hart, Diddy, and many more. The viral interview has earned quite a few responses from those he dissed, the most recent one coming from fellow comedian Faizon Love.

In a new clip, Faizon tears into Williams, claiming that none of his comments made sense. “It’s hard to address lunacy, and hypocrisy, and downright ignorance,” he begins. “But it’s so funny how many people think this d*mb, st*pid motherf*cker is spittin’ truth. But that’s the internet I guess, you guys want to believe in something so bad.” He goes on to suggest that Williams’ controversial comments might have actually been a plea for help.

Faizon Love Discusses Katt Williams’ Viral Club Shay Shay Interview

“Listen to what he’s saying, he’s actually calling for help,” he explains. “He’s calling for help. None of the sh*t he says lines up with nothing.” During Williams’ interview, he called Faizon Love out for claiming that getting a Netflix special is “easy.” Williams noted that while he has 12 of them, Faizon has none. He also called anyone doubting that he puts other comedians on a “Fat Faizon liar.”

Faizon is far from the only person to call Williams’ comments into question amid the fallout from his Club Shay Shay appearance, however. On NBA Unplugged last night, Kevin Hart addressed his industry plant accusations, firing back with a simple response. “Do you entertain the circus or do you watch it?” he asked. Kevin Hart Issues New Response To Katt Williams

Furthermore, Hart joked that Williams had “bought the New York Knicks” only to “return them with a receipt”. Additionally, Hart went after Williams’ comments about being a voracious reader as a child.

Tiffany Haddish Addresses Katt Williams In New Stand Up Set

Tiffany Haddish made reference to Katt Williams in her latest stand-up set, after Williams implied that she was an industry plant whom Kevin Hart “opened the gate for”. “At the Comedy Store, they wouldn’t let me perform at the white nights but I performed at all the Black nights,” Haddish told a hyped-up audience.

Haddish previously addressed Williams’ explosive appearance on Club Shay Shay, taking to Instagram soon after the interview dropped. “I am not mad I just wish he would get his facts right about me,” she wrote. “Dang I guess I will send him a reminder text. But are we sure that is Katt Williams? He looks a lot like Charleston White,” Haddish wrote on Instagram. It’s a similar response that she previously gave to Williams in 2020. Elsewhere in the bombastic interview, Williams invoked Jonathan Majors to explain why he doesn’t mess with white women. “You can be Kang the Conqueror and they can still take your rabbit a– down in two weekends,” Williams noted. His statement was to highlight the power white women hold over Black men. Furthermore, Williams claimed that white women would also often make it abundantly clear to him that they had the power to take him down if they wanted to. “You see how he got a Black woman and she got his charges cut in half? Thank God for Meagan Good,” Williams added.

The comedian’s comments come weeks after a New York court found Majors guilty of misdemeanor reckless assault in the third degree and a violation of harassment. However, Majors was acquitted on additional charges of assault and aggravated harassment. The actor, who Marvel is replacing in the role of Kang the Conqueror, will be sentenced in February. Other people were spoken about less favorably. Chris Tucker, Cedric the Entertainer, and Steve Harvey.
