Yo Gotti’s Influence

During the interview, GloRilla opened up to Shannon Sharpe about how Yo Gotti mentors her and his influence on her music. “One thing about me, I don’t record a lot,” she began. “Like if I don’t like a song I’mma scratch it, like the moment I write it and it’s not good, I’m not going to record or nothing. And so, like I could be in the studio for 10 hours, write two songs not like them and I won’t record. He just be telling me like ‘Record them, every song. It might end up being good.’ And I don’t think it’s good, right? You know what I’m saying. Every song you make not just gonna be like that but just do it. You never know what the song gonna do.”

GloRilla Tells Shannon Sharpen She Welcomes Criticism

Moving forward with the interview, the topic of criticism came up. When Shannon Sharpe asked about how she blocks all the noise, GloRilla revealed that she doesn’t. Instead, she listens to it and makes corrections. “The thing with me is, criticism I like it,” she said. “All my friends know when I talk to them, I’m the most blunt person they ever meet…Don’t lie to me like tell me criticism because when I go out in the public, they going to say it anyway. So, it’s certain shit that I take from criticism like when people be talking shit like ‘oh she did this. It’s this, it’s that.’ Okay, I’m going to take heed to that right and fix it.”

Dropping big names like Beyonce, Drake, and Lil Wayne, GloRilla built her dream collab. “Five people I want to collab with I haven’t collab with,” she started. “Number one, Beyonce. Number two would be Drake and Lil Wayne, I love them.” Future and Chief Keef rounded out her 5-man team. “I grew up on Beyonce,” she continued. “She forever going to be my favorite artist of all time. Lil Wayne and Drake, they just like lyrical beasts. I love they swag and their approach to songs, and how they come on the beats and shit. GloRilla Opened Up About Her Childhood

On Club Shay Shay, GloRilla opened up about her childhood days, especially living in a house with nine siblings. Being the eighth child herself, the rapper revealed that things were quite hard for her and her brothers and sisters. “Just imagine, it was a lot of us so we used to get on each other nerves and pick on each other and fight,” she said. “Well, we love each other at the end of the day though… We used to get whoopings.”

She also spoke about life being homeschooled, and the circumstances that led to her and her siblings enrolling in school. “Like every child got whoopings, but my sister didn’t,” she continued. “So, she used to call DCS on my mama and she was like, ‘my momma used to beat on us and we weren’t learning nothing in homeschool’ and all this stuff. And so, my mama had to put us in school after that.”

Her Frustrations With Social Media’s Double Standards

Speaking on how social media netizens held double standards, GloRilla explained to Shannon Sharpe her views and experiences with how the internet offers little grace for women compared to men. “They be hard on us. Social media be way harder on females than men you think,” she insisted. “So because a n***a can be ugly as hell but if he bumping, they don’t give a shit. ‘oh my God we love you.’ If they don’t like a certain part of your body, they think you too skinny, they think your feet too big or anything, they just going to talk about you all the time. Like they like, ‘oh you’re a female. You supposed to be perfect.’ They don’t hold men to the ‘being perfect’ standard. They hold women to that.”

GloRilla Does Not Regret Flirting With Damian Lillard, But She Won’t Say If Anything Happened Afterward

During the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend in February, GloRilla posed alongside Milwaukee Bucks All-Star point guard Damian Lillard and posted the photo on X (formerly Twitter). The since-deleted posts read, “Who n**** dis is? Cause I want him #GetEmGlo” and “Whoever she is can’t whoop me so I really dgaf.”

On Wednesday, April 3, GloRilla appeared on the latest episode of Club Shay Shay. Host Shannon Sharpe acknowledged GloRilla had “shot one of those Steph Curry shots” in the form of flirtation toward Dame and asked, “Did it go in?” GloRilla awkwardly giggled before expertly avoiding actually answering the question, saying, “The halfcourt shot? You know, at the end of the day, the day gon’ end.” Sharpe’s last-ditch effort (“It went in”) to get an admission was met with more ambiguous giggles.

In early March, TMZ asked Lillard about whether he had “seen GloRilla shoot her shot.” Lillard chuckled and said, “Man, shout-out to GloRilla, man.” But when asked whether he had reached out or had any contact with Glo, Lillard politely shut it down, saying, “No comment, my brother.”

Lillard was traded from Portland to Milwaukee last October. Days later, the eight-time All-Star and his wife, Kay’La Lillard, filed for divorce. The former couple were college sweethearts and share three children. In February, Lillard described the past several months as “the hardest transition in my life, all things considered,” as per Yahoo Sports’ Vincent Goodwill.

GloRilla Judged LeBron James’ Rapping Skills In Reaction To His ‘Yeah Glo!’ Video

LeBron James impressed Metro Boomin when he rapped along to Kendrick Lamar’s “Like That” verse during warmups ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers’ win over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, March 31. GloRilla heaped more praise onto the ever-expanding LeBron James Praise Pile during the latest episode of Club Shay Shay.

Host Shannon Sharpe asked for GloRilla’s reaction to James posting a video of him dancing and rapping along to her February single “Yeah Glo!” The Memphis rapper explained that she found out about it while getting a massage and noticing her phone “blow up” on the “little massage table” and initially blowing it off before finally looking and seeing that “everybody [was] calling me, like, ‘LeBron just posted your song!’”

GloRilla said she “instantly reposted it,” and then she hit up Rodeo Drive to get something to wear to the Lakers’ game that night because “this is one of the best — not one of the best — this is the best player in the league right now.” Glo paused to clarify that the late Kobe Bryant is her favorite player, but James is second.

Sharpe rained on her parade, saying, “He ain’t know not one word.” GloRilla countered with, “He knew the words! He did! I done watched LeBron rap songs and not know the words for real. He knew ‘Yeah Glo!’ He probably ain’t say, like, certain words, but that was good for him because he don’t be knowing songs for real. He knew more words than usual when he was singing ‘Yeah Glo!’”

GloRilla Once Again Expertly Avoids Question About Damian Lillard

Earlier this year, GloRilla made her affection for one particular NBA player publicly known. It started with her appeatance at the NBA All-Star game, which included a number of viral moments. But extra attention was pair to a tweet she made in response to a picture of her and Damian Lillard. In the tweet she made sure it was crystal clear that she’s attracted to the Milwaukee Bucks player. When he was asked about the affirmation a few weeks later he responded by shouting out the rapper.

Since then, GloRilla has carefully dodged questions about Lillard whenever they came up. That was first the case when TMZ tried to ask her and she found away out. It was once again the case in the newly released episode of Club Shay Shay where she’s interviewed. Host Shannon Sharpe asks her about her favorite NBA players, which is clearly a guided question attempting to arrive at a discussion about Lillard. But once again Glo manages to expertly dodge the question while not clarifying much of anything. Check out the clip of her avoiding specifics while discussing Damian Lillard below.

GloRilla Still Not Talking About Damian Lillard

The discussion of NBA players did eventually land on something Glo was more willing to talk about. She expressed her appreciation for LeBron James’ cosign of her new song. Glo unleashed her track “Yeah Glo!” back in February and it’s been clicking with fans and critics ever since. The song jumped into the top half of the Hot 100 a few weeks ago and has stuck.

Earlier this week GloRilla unveiled some new details about her upcoming album. She announced that the project is called Ehhthang Ehhthang and also shared the album artwork and tracklist with fans. The project is right around the corner with its expected release date coming later this week. What do you think of GloRilla once again effectively dodging questions about Damian Lillard? Ludacris Responds To Katt Williams’ Dubious Claims About Him

Right at the start of 2024, Katt Williams set an utterly bizarre tone for the year. That began with his appearance on Club Shay Shay where he spent the entire time making one wild and completely unchecked claim after another. One of those that got the most attention were his claims about Ludacris and the Fast And Furious series. Williams claims he was offered a role in the series but came up with a shocking list of additional factors that played into his potential casting.

Ludacris did respond pretty quickly, both clapping back at some of the claims made against him and calling out Williams. But now he was asked about the comments from the interview during a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club and took a more level-headed approach to his response. First, he claims that he has no idea whether or not Williams was actually offered a role in the franchise. When asked about some of his stranger claims Luda is hardly even sure what to say. He describes the claims as so ridiculous he didn’t even know what Williams was saying and isn’t taking it too seriously because he’s a comedian. Check out the conversation between Charlamagne and Luda below.

Ludacris Shares New Thoughts On Katt Williams

Those wondering about casting for the Fast And Furious role that ended up going to Ludacris got another hint from an interview last month. That came when Andre 3000 was doing an interview where he revealed that he also auditioned for the role. Andre ultimately thinks they made the right call. He describes not being “ready” to take on the challenge of acting in the franchise when asked follow-up questions.

Ludacris also made an appearance during Usher’s Super Bowl performance earlier this year. They were also joined by Lil Jon to deliver their classic hit “Yeah! ” What do you think of Ludacris taking a pretty relaxed approach to addressing Katt Williams’ comments about him? Do you think Williams was just trying to make people laugh with his bizarre comments? Let us know in the comment section below.

Offset Defends Hip-Hop After Shannon Sharpe Says It Might Be Declining

Earlier this week, Offset’s appearance on Club Shay Shay was released. in recent months, the podcast has been a platform for celebrities to spread some pretty wild rumors almost completely unchecked. The most notable example was Katt Williams who made weeks’ worth of news with everything he said on his appearance. The former Migos rapper’s time on the show was a lot less explosive but he still spawned plenty of memorable and discussion-worthy moments.

One of the big moments was a debate over whether hip-hop was “declining,” a notion that Offset denies. “I don’t know what folks be talking ‘bout, it’s still that. Why would it not be? Everything is culturally moved from Hip-Hop, period. I don’t care what it is. It is a commercial—that ain’t got nothing to do with nothing. It’s all still brought to Hip-Hop at the end of the day,” he explained. ““What the hell I look like saying it’s declining right now? I’m in it. No sir! And it’s way more rich Black folks off of Hip-Hop than ever. It ain’t never been no execs in the building like it is now” he concluded. Check out his full podcast appearance below.

Offset Defends Hip-Hop From Accusations Of Declining

In a different moment on the podcast, Offset updated fans on where things stand between him and Joe Budden. He gave some background on how they ended up at odds in the first place following Budden’s criticisms of Cardi B and female rappers at large. Despite their issues the “WORTH IT” rapper insists that the two are now on good terms.

In another hilarious moment from the interview, Offset roasted Shannon Sharpe. The rapper took aim at the skinny pants Sharpe often steps out in claiming that he’s “too big” for that. What do you think of Offset’s comments about hip-hop not actually declining? Do you agree with him that the genre is putting more black people in positions of power than ever before? Let us know in the comment section below.

Offset Roasts Shannon Sharpe For His Tight Pants

Earlier today, a new episode of Club Shay Shay was released featuring a conversation with former Migos rapper Offset. The podcast has become a go-to for celebrities looking to speak their mind in a mostly uncritical format. As a result it’s sparked a handful of incredibly viral moments, none more so than Katt Williams earlier this year. He was given the platform to make all kinds of outlandish claims that sparked days, worth of news.

By comparison, Offset’s interview is much more tame but that doesn’t mean he isn’t providing some valuable insight. In one of the most viral moments he opens up on his relationship with Joe Budden. He discusses how the bad vibes between the pair started and why it took some time to repair them, but he insists all is well now. In another funnier moment, he took aim at, host Shannon Sharpe. He called out Sharpe for some of the outfits he’s been spotted wearing which can feature some very tight pants. The “Worth It” rapper clearly takes issue with the presentation and had to tell Sharpe he’s just “too big” for pants like that. Check out the hilarious interaction they have below.

Club Shay Shay has been ongoing for some time. However, it’s recently been receiving renewed attention, thanks to Katt Williams’s appearance at the top of the year. While Kat Williams’s revelations have netted Sharpe some serious cash, Mo’Nique and Snoop Dogg are some the most recent names to go viral for their appearance on the show, there are several other people with equally significant moments.

Like You”

Terry Crews Took Home $0 For Training Day

In a heartfelt interview with Shannon on Club Shay Shay, Terry Crews shared insights into his humble beginnings. Reflecting on his early struggles, Crews revealed that when he did Friday After Next with Katt Williams in 1999, he was mopping floors, while Williams was homeless and living in a trailer. He received $4,000 as his payment for starring in it. However, he disclosed that he received $0 for his role in Training Day. This was ultimately the biggest shock of the entire interview. Crews doesn’t seem to mind as much these days, as he believes it was all a stepping stone to greatness. Nonetheless, zero dollars for an Oscar-winning movie seems quite bizarre.

Mo’Nique Calls Out Tiffany Haddish

The Club Shay Shay interview with comedian-actress Mo’Nique was filled with a barrage of bombshells. For the entirety of the two-hour and fifty-five-minute interview, she went into detail with big names in and out of Hollywood whom she butted heads with and even those she simply did not admire. One of these was Tiffany Haddish. She spoke about her ongoing conflicts with Haddish, who dissed Monique’s husband in a GQ Magazine interview in 2018. She had some of the choicest words for Haddish, saying: “Tiffany, if you had a husband like mine, you may not have two DUIs. If you had a husband like mine, you may not be caught up in what looks like you could have been grooming a child.”

The Mo’Nique And Tyler Perry Saga Continues

Mo’Nique then continued to shock Club Shay Shay’s audience when she called out Tyler Perry. She alleged that the media mogul spread damaging rumors that got her blackballed in the film industry years ago. Mo’Nique has famously been at loggerheads with Perry and Oprah Winfrey for over a decade now. She went as far as claiming to have evidence of Tyler Perry admitting to it in a voice recording she reportedly showed to Shannon off-camera. Needless to say, Mo’Nique’s time on Club Shay Shay went viral immediately.

Katt Williams Goes Off On Hollywood

The January 3rd interview of Katt Williams on Club Shay Shay has now amassed over 60 million views. During his interview with Shannon Sharpe, Katt Williams called out several personalities in the acting and comedy industry. He attacked Cedric the Entertainer for allegedly stealing his joke. Williams claimed that Cedric had praised the joke backstage but then incorporated it into his own routine during the Kings of Comedy tour. He took jabs at Steve Harvey for allegedly appropriating his story of experiencing homelessness. Furthermore, he famously tagged Kevin Hart as an “industry plant.”

Katt Williams then moved on to shocking allegations against prominent figures in the entertainment industry. He revealed that Harvey Weinstein, the disgraced film producer, once made an offer to perform oral sex on him in front of his agency representatives, although he declined the proposition. Williams also claimed that Chris Tucker had ties to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, dubbing him “Epstein Island Chris Tucker.” To round up, Williams brought up a familiar topic. He accused Ludacris of joining the Illuminati to secure his lucrative deal for the Fast & Furious movie franchise. These bombshell accusations demonstrated Williams’ willingness to expose alleged misconduct and corruption within the entertainment world, leaving no one untouched by his claims.

Mike Epps Warns Katt Williams That “Club Shay Shay” Talk Is Dangerous

Mike Epps recently sat down with the All The Smoke crew for their latest podcast episode, and they obviously had a lot to discuss. For one, he said that he’s never treated a woman 100% right, and he actually apologized for these comments to his wife shortly after in public fashion. Of course, they also got around to the topic of Katt Williams and all the drama surrounding comedian interviews, pop culture gossip, and all the ruckus that this seemed to bring about. The stand-up comic even warned Williams during this All The Smoke appearance that it’s all fun and games until these celebrities might start considering more dark action.

“Comedians are dark people, man,” Mike Epps said of Katt Williams’ Club Shay Shay appearance. “We dark. Katt Williams, I pray for that brother, man. I pray for that brother because that’s some serious s**t! The s**t that he did on that podcast? Man, we better hope all the people that he saying ain’t no killers. ‘Cause he ain’t gon’ know hit him. You know what I mean? And that’s what I’m saying, that negativity sells like that.” “Yeah, it’s unfortunate,” cohost Matt Barnes added. “People are drawn to that, to the negativity.”

“They are!” Epps responded. “That’s why I had to go shake Shannon’s hand. Because I can’t control these dudes out here that’ll just go try to do something to him. Just to… It ain’t even for me. N***as is all, ‘Man, yeah, I’m riding for Mike.’ N***a, you ain’t riding for me, I don’t even know you.
