Pusha T Breaks His Silence On Being Namedropped By Kendrick Lamar On “Euphoria”

Pusha T and his legend have already been cemented. Overall, that legend was cemented well before he ever started beefing with Drake. However, once he dropped “The Story Of Adidon,” it became clear that Push is an artist that is not to be messed with. When it comes to a battle, Push doesn’t play by any rules. Instead, he sets the tone and leaves his enemies begging for a way out. The same can be said of Kendrick Lamar, who also just went toe-to-toe with Drake.

Recently, Pusha T and No Malice sat down with Craig Jenkins of Vulture. During this interview, Clipse spoke about their upcoming album, while also divulging on some of hip-hop’s biggest topics. In fact, at the end of the interview, Jenkins snuck in a question about Kendrick’s line on “Euphoria” where he raps: “let me see you push a T.” As you can imagine, Push displayed lots of admiration for Kendrick, saying “Incredible. Incredible display. Incredible display of battle raps. Listen man, Kendrick …”

Pusha T Speaks

No Malice followed this up by saying, “it was a master class.” These responses should come as no surprise. Push has said on numerous occasions that he has no interest in apologizing to Drake or collaborating with him in the future. Instead, we imagine Push was listening to tracks like “Euphoria” and “Not Like Us” with jubilation. No matter what, you cannot deny the impact that this beef had on hip-hop as a whole. In the eyes of many, we will never see anything like this, ever again. With Kendrick performing in California today, who knows, it may not be over.

Let us know what you think of the track “Euphoria,” in the comments section down below. Do you believe that “Euphoria” was the best song to come out of this beef? What do you make of Pusha T’s response when asked about the lyrics? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Pharrell Seemingly Disses Drake On New Single “Double Life”

Pharrell and Drake have always had a contentious relationship. Pharrell is best friends with Pusha T, the man who obliterated Drake’s public profile in 2018. The issues between Skateboard P and the 6 God was always unspoken, though. The two of them even collaborated on the remix to “Lemon” in 2017. Then the beef with Kendrick Lamar happened, and everything changed. K. Dot claimed to inherit the beef from P, and Drake taunted the Compton rapper by telling him to get Pharrell’s jewelry out of his house. It was all very messy. Many assumed Pharrell would keep quiet on the matter, but he might have just responded.

Pharrell dropped a new single on June 14 titled “Double Life.” The song is part of the Despicable Me 4 soundtrack, which is a franchise that helped the artist land the number one single “Happy.” It may sound wild, the notion of a rap diss being snuck into the soundtrack for a kid’s movie, but it seems like that is what P chose to do here. “Double Life” contains bars that appear to be specifically aimed at Drake and his, well, double life. “Lie detector time,” he raps. “Hey, what are you hiding?” Pharrell doubles down on this mysterious target with the lines: “Nothing wrong being private… Make sure it ain’t wrong.”

Pharrell Targets A Rapper Who’s “Hiding” Things

It’s worth noting that Pharrell is one of the most positive and optimistic voices in hip-hop. He’s always preaching kindness to fellow artists. He’s the guy who made “Happy,” like we said. The thing is, Drake has been sniping at him for a long time. The 6 God threw shots at Pharrell on the 2023 Travis Scott hit “Meltdown.” P is the only artist mentioned in “Family Matters” who didn’t directly diss Drake beforehand. It wouldn’t be absurd to assume Skateboard P decided to crack the seal on negativity for Drake’s sake. Most of the hip-hop did it in 2024 (and it’s June).

Pharrell is also the guy who rapped on and produced “Mr. Me Too” for Clipse. “Mr. Me Too” is diss for Drake’s mentor, Lil Wayne. P and Clipse felt like Weezy was copying their fashion sensibility, so they made a whole song mocking him. In this sense, Pharrell dissing Drake is a long time coming. We don’t have confirmation that Drizzy is the target of Pharrell’s Despicable Me 4 single, but it’s not hard to believe.

No Malice Hopes Clipse Can Collaborate With Coldplay And The Killers

Clipse is officially back in action and the duo of Pusha T and his brother No Malice are ready to talk about the future of their legendary rap group. In a new interview with GOAT Mag the two talk about where Clipse may go next and they don’t exactly agree. Malice was asked about collaborations and quickly delivered the kind of answer you’d expect. “As far as Hip Hop goes, the highwater mark is always collaborating with JAY-Z, so I would like that,” he said. But he followed up on that thought with a surprising addition.

No Malice put his major ambitions on display answering what non-rap artists he might want to work with. “Outside of Hip Hop, I would like to see Clipse with artists like Coldplay and The Killers, with big arena records, festivals, something that moves globally,” he said. Pusha T had a different response, seeming to be over collaborations entirely. “Man. I don’t know. I’m collab’d out. I don’t even care about collaborations if it’s not among a great body of work. I’m into cohesive, great bodies of work. I feel like, in these times, with everybody feeling so fly-by-night, that’s the only thing that’s keeping this genre alive,” Pusha T remarked.

Earlier this year Pharrell made his debut as the head of menswear at Louis Vuitton. He’s a frequent collaborator of Clipse so its no surprise that both brothers were in attendance. What did come as a surprise to fans though, is that they debuted a brand new Clipse song during the show.

What do you think of the different answers Pusha T and No Malice gave about future Clipse collaborations? Let us know which future you would prefer for the duo in the comment section below.

No Malice Reveals “Perks” Of Being Pusha T’s Brother

No Malice and Pusha T dominated the early 2000s with their duo, Clipse. Despite no longer performing together, the brothers still share a close bond. For his 51st birthday, the rapper took to his Instagram story to share a gift from his younger brother. He seemed overjoyed by his all-gold, diamond-encrusted Rolex watch. “When your brother’s @kingpush,” he wrote in a now-deleted Instagram Story. “I love you bro, Thank you [red drop emoji]!.”

Earlier this month, Pusha T discussed the possibility of the two making new music. “I really would hope so,” Pusha told PEOPLE. “I really would love to, man, I really would love to. At this point I feel like we’ve been in a space a lot together lately, and in those spaces the creativity’s just been flowing.” Prior to this, the pair were on the runway at Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton fashion show in June.

He continued: “So that’s where you get songs like you heard at the [Louis Vuitton] fashion show. Really what we’ve been doing a lot of it is just contributing with our friends,” Pusha added. “Like, ‘OK, Pharrell’s a creative director of LV, he needs music for the show.’ How would we not show up for that? How would me and my brother not show up for a Nigo album? I think the creativity between us and just the collective of the family that everybody knows where this started from, is something that you can’t just stop.”

In other related news, the two were recently models for a collaborative campaign with Moncler and Billionaire Boys Club. The capsule, which includes a puffer jacket, letterman jacket, and more, was released on August 15. Just seeing a photo of the pair caused a stir among fans. “Don’t tease me like this. I thought this was the album cover,” one user commented.

Jim Jones Seemingly Accused No Malice Of Using Crack Cocaine On A Snippet Of An Apparent Diss Track

Jim Jones has responded to Pusha T‘s alleged diss track aimed at him. The two have been thought to have been feuding since April, when Jones questioned Push’s position on Billboard and VIBE‘s 50 Greatest Rappers Of All Time list. Today (June 24) a clip of the Dipset founding member surfaced online, featuring him laying down vengeful bars in a booth.

In the clip, he makes clear allusions to Push and The Clipse, and even accuses Push of offering crack cocaine to his brother and fellow Clipse member, No Malice.

“That last sh*t you dropped, that sh*t was garbage, take that sh*t back / Plus you got your brother up, what you tryna bring The Clipse back? / Talking about your brother, what happened to that boy? / It’s looking like you were selling crack to that boy,” Jones raps.

This no-bars-held snippet comes days after Pusha T previewed an alleged Jones diss track by The Clipse at Pharrell Williams’ first Louis Vuitton show as creative director in Paris. On the track, Push accuses Jones of trying to be friendly with Drake in order to get a guest verse from him.

“Beware of my name, that there’s delegate / You know I know where you’re delicate / Crush you to pieces, I’ll hum a breath of it / I will close your heaven for the hell of it / You think it’d be valor amongst veterans / I’m watching your fame escape relevance / We all in a room but here’s the elephant / You chasing a feature out of your element,” raps Push.

You can listen to the snippet above.

Jim Jones Seemingly Caught Wind Of Pusha T’s Alleged Diss Towards Him And Had A Long Hearty Laugh About It

Rap beef fans, gather ’round. We’ve got a tasty one in the offing — but it doesn’t look like one of the participants is taking it as seriously as the other. After Jim Jones expressed his surprise at Pusha T’s placement on a recent greatest rappers list, Pusha seemingly clapped back in a song that premiered during Pharrell’s first Louis Vuitton fashion show. And while it looks like Push is all the way war-ready, Jim seemingly isn’t sweating the Virginia rapper’s opening shots. In a video on his social media (reshared by Elliott Wilson), Jim can be seen cracking up laughing — and the timing makes it clear just what (and who) he’s laughing at.

Push seemed to take umbrage at Jones’ comments on Spotify’s RapCaviar podcast during a discussion about Billboard‘s 50 Greatest Rappers Of All Time list. Disagreeing with Pusha’s placement at number 29, Jones wondered, “What has he done that puts him in the greatest rappers of all time besides talk about coke that he probably didn’t get himself? He’s nice as sh*t. He could rap his ass off, but what has he done? Nobody wants to be like Pusha T… I don’t know too many n****s in this game that was leaning towards being like Pusha T.”

Later, Jim reiterated his comments on The Breakfast Club, saying, “Could you name five Pusha T records? No. Could you rap to five Pusha T records? I never wanted to be like Pusha, I never had a Pusha moment in my life. Where I’m from, n****s wanted to be like you if you was really that dude as a rapper.”

Pusha, whose profile raised exponentially with his 2018 feud with Drake (with which he claims he’s gotten bored), always seems to be itching for his next fight, but until Jim Jones responds, it doesn’t look like he’s gonna get one here.

Pharrell’s First Louis Vuitton Show As The Men’s Director Featured A Fun Duet Performance With Jay-Z

Pharrell Williams recently kicked off his first fashion show in Paris as Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Creative Director — replacing the late Virgil Abloh. It wasn’t without surprises either, as he incorporated music into a large part of the show.

Jay-Z made a special appearance to play “Frontin” by The Neptunes and “On To The Next One.” Pharrell also brought the Voices Of Fire gospel choir to perform their recent collab, “Joy (Unspeakable).”

There was also a live debut of a new Clipse (Pusha T and Malice’s duo) song that is reportedly called “Chains ‘N Whips,” according to a New York Times write-up.

“Beat the system with chains and whips,” Pusha reportedly raps in the chorus, per the publication. The song also played over the speakers on the runway.

“That was made in this room,” Pharrell told NYT in reaction to the song. “We just start walking around and looking out this window and you just see all of this. I mean, we beating this system, bro.”

There’s also another lyric that was shared by Stereogum, where he seems to dig at a long-time rapper. “You’d think there’d be honor amongst veterans / I am watching your fame escape relevance / We’re all in the room, but here’s the elephant / You’re chasing a feature out of your element,” the Clipse track goes. Many have suspected it is about Dipset’s Jim Jones.

Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton Fashion Show Reportedly Featured A New Clipse Song

Pharrell, who just turned 50 this year despite still looking like he did during The Neptunes’ heyday, just held his first show as the head menswear designer of Louis Vuitton — a role he’s held since early this year. After recruiting Rihanna to headline the first campaign under his guidance, clips and photos of Pharrell’s first show have begun to emerge on social media, revealing both his design sensibility and his musical as the show apparently featured a previously unheard song from his longtime collaborators, Clipse. Malice can be heard rapping over this clip, while the brothers Thornton can be seen walking the runway in some of the photos.

Pharrell took over as head menswear designer at Louis Vuitton after the role was left vacant by the death of his friend and frequent collaborator Virgil Abloh, who held the role from 2018 until he passed in 2021. In an interview with WWD, Pharrell addressed his lack of high-end fashion experience, comparing himself to some of the greats of the industry. “I didn’t go to Central Saint Martins, but I also didn’t go to Juilliard either in music and I mean, we see how that turned out,” he said. “It’s cool. That’s a very fair observation. But neither did Vivienne Westwood, right? Tadao Ando was self-taught. I mean, he’s the GOAT, right? I only aspire to express myself.”
