Travis Scott’s Aiming For Second Highest Grossing Rap Tour In History

Last year, Travis Scott released his new album UTOPIA. The project was his first in 5 years dating back to his 2018 smash hit ASTROWORLD. With how much fervor there was for new music from the “SICKO MODE” rapper it’s no surprise that there was equal demand to see him perform live. Following the album’s release he took off on the Circus Maximus tour which shares its name with a song from the album and the short film that accompanied its release. Since then he’s been churning away on tour shows and racking up an incredibly impressive total gross.

With the addition of new dates in the European leg of the tour, Travis Scott could now be embarking on one of the highest-selling tours in rap history. According to TouringData, the 61 shows he’s playing on tour are now expected to sell a total of 1.1 million tickets. That’s predicted to make for a total gross somewhere in the $130-140 million range. They also report that those numbers would make for the second highest-grossing rap tours ever. Just last year Drake set the record for highest-grossing tour by a rapper with his It’s All A Blur tour which featured opening appearances from Sexyy Red, J. Cole, and 21 Savage.

Travis Scott’s Tour To Sell Over 1 Million Tickets

Over the weekend, Travis Scott sold out an entire show in a single day. Following the announcement of new shows, which is how he was pushed up to the newest grossing estimates, he filled one stadiums worth of tickets incredibly quickly.

Scott is about to embark on a different kind of venture with the start of his Astroworld lawsuit. Earlier this month the rapper and his fellow defendants in the case settled the bulk of the lawsuits on the table. Now he faces just one more for the youngest fan to die at the 2021 Astroworld Festival. What do you think of Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus tour becoming the second highest-grossing rap tour of all time? Did you make it to any of the dates on the tour so far? Let us know in the comment section below.

Travis Scott Sells Out Select European Shows In A Single Day

Travis Scott is hitting up various European countries later this year to continue his Circus Maximus tour, and it looks like demand hasn’t slowed down one bit. Moreover, he reportedly sold out stadium shows in Italy, Germany, and England (specifically London) in a single day, yet it’s unclear whether the other dates in countries like the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, or other U.K. cities are also sold out. Either way, you’d better refresh that tour page quick, because it seems like tickets are selling out fast for these concerts. This continues a lot of Cactus Jack hype these days, including the recently announced Nike Shark-A-Don sneaker.

Furthermore, another Travis Scott promo piece that has fans very excited and ready to sell it out is whatever he’s cooking with Kanye West. They recently appeared in a new Cactus Jack ad centered around their children, and we don’t yet know exactly what they have planned or what they’re going to come out with. Either way, fans are going absolutely wild over the prospect of another collaboration from the “Piss On Your Grave” duo, whether it’s new music, clothes, visual projects, or pretty much anything. For that, we’ll have to wait and see, and who knows; maybe Ye pops out for one of these sold-out dates.

Travis Scott Sells Out Various Europe Shows In A Day

Elsewhere, Travis Scott is still reckoning with the consequences of the 2021 Astroworld tragedy, and he’s not completely free to go just yet. While he and Live Nation settled nine civil lawsuits over wrongful deaths that the music festival’s crowd crush caused, one remains open. It’s impossible to tell whether or not this will fully go to trial given how complicated and back-and-forth the situation has been thus far. All we can hope for is that the achieved outcome is one that the mourning family feels satisfied or vindicated with, as they are the main people to consider in seeking this accountability.

Meanwhile, Travis Scott’s European leg is building up to be a pretty exciting run of shows that hopefully continue to prove his higher awareness and safety prioritization in the face of these lawsuits and cases. It will still be a long road for him to fully reckon with this tragedy, one that he traveled a lot of already with his 2023 album UTOPIA. With more Cactus Jack content surely coming in 2024, we can only wait and see what’s next. For more news and the latest updates on La Flame, come back to HNHH.

Kanye West Stuns Crowd At Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus Tour: Here’s Every Song The Rap Legend Performed

Kanye West has been much more visible than usual as of late. Overall, there is a pretty good reason for this. He is currently in the midst of a rollout for his new album Vultures. Although he might not be the most loved artist right now, there are still fans who care about his next move. So much so that people have been going to great lengths for information on this project. For now, we know the tracklist and we know that Volume 1 will come out on February 9th. Ultimately, that is good enough news for some.

Last night, Ye had himself a great time as he got to perform at Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus tour. Travis had a stop in Orlando, and he made the most of it by inviting Ye and Ty Dolla Sign. In the end, Kanye took to the stage and fans went absolutely wild for it. It was here that he promised to drop Volume 1 on time. Moreover, he performed a total of six tracks for the crowd. This was a nice little EP’s worth of music, and he encapsulated a few eras with this setlist.

Kanye West Takes The Stage

For instance, he performed “Runaway,” “Fade,” “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” “Vultures,” “All Of The Lights,” and “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1.” This performance drew from four different Ye albums from very different times in his discography. Needless to say, it was a treat for all of the fans in attendance. Ye performances are pretty rare these days, so this was all pretty shocking to the crowd. Either way, it was well-received, and it was yet another instance of the artist supporting his mentee, Travis Scott.

Let us know if you are excited for Vultures, in the comments section below. Also, which of the songs that Kanye performed last night are your favorites from him? When it comes to the Circus Maximus tour, that has most definitely been the case. Every single show has been absolutely wild, and the footage from the events has only added to the overall mystique.

Recently, Travis found himself in Miami where he has a very substantial fanbase. Fans took out their phones to record the concert, and they were met with a pretty incredible sight. Travis Scott Teases New Album

Travis Scott has claimed that he has been working on a new album while touring. “R U in my mind or what??” Scott wrote on X in response to a fan musing about a similar concept. Furthermore, Scott shared images of him posted up in a makeshift recording studio at what he claims is his recent Boston show. The news comes a day after Scott previewed a new track at an afterparty. The track had a slow, laid-back beat. Furthermore, it appeared to incorporate a sample of an eagle screech into the track before the vocals began. At this time, no other details about the song are available.

There are eight stops left on his Circus Maximus Tour, which has been ongoing since October 2023. Penn State, Milwaukee, St. Paul, Chicago, Columbus, Miami, and Orlando will also host tour stops across the rest of January. However, the tour will end with a February 3 show in St. Louis. Travis Scott Damages Stanley Cup

Meanwhile, Scott’s January 9 concert in Montreal reportedly went so hard that it damaged a Stanley Cup trophy displayed at the venue. According to Bell Center security, Scott’s recent show knocked three of the Canadiens’ 24 trophies off their displays. Later, fans noted that the 1923-24 trophy had been removed entirely, with security stating that it had been “damaged” and had been removed for repairs.

Elsewhere, December saw a pair of Air Jordans that Scott gave to a fan during Rolling Loud Germany recently sold for nearly $10,000 at auction. The shoes were sold through Goldin Auctions for $9760 after a 29-bid auction in December 2023. This saw the lot fall just shy of the $10,000 estimate Goldin had given it. Scott had gifted the shoes to an Egyptian fan after bringing the man up on stage. It was one of several impromptu clothing giveaways Scott did in his pre-Utopia festival circuit.

Travis Scott Rolling Loud Air Jordans Sell for $9760

Meanwhile, a pair of Air Jordans that Scott gave to a fan during Rolling Loud Germany recently sold for nearly $10,000 at auction.

As mentioned, it wasn’t the first time that Scott gave away his shoes over the summer. Earlier in July, at Longitude Festival in Dublin, Scott got up close and personal with the throbbing mass of fans at the barricade. Picking out one fan in particular, Scott began to rap back and forth with the fan, who eagerly responded. The back-and-forth continued, with Scott getting more and more hyped up about the interaction. When the verse ended, Scott pulled off his shirt, an unreleased Utopia merch item, as well as his Air Jordans. Fighting back the sea of grabbing hands, Scott handed the items to the fan he had rapped with.

Travis Scott Invites 41 To Perform “Bent” At MSG, Shows Time-Lapse Of Stage-Building

Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus tour has been a wildly successful affair so far, with a lot of interplay between him and his fans. For example, he recently revealed to Jimmy Fallon that he played “FE!N” ten times straight at a recent show because his fans were just giving him so much energy that he had to reciprocate. With that in mind, La Flame is always down for some hometown love. He knows that, if he’s performing in Madison Square Garden, New York will be just as excited as he is for Brooklyn’s next wave. Moreover, the Houston artist brought out the trio 41 for a special performance of their hit “Bent,” which comprises of rappers Kyle Richh, Jenn Carter, and Tata.

Furthermore, the trio is really on the rise right now, with some viral attention and big cosigns. In fact, Fivio Foreign recently enlisted them for a steamy new drill and Jersey club-fusing single, “Get Deady (Offa Pill).” “Bent,” though, is quite the banger as well, and you can tell just how excited they and Travis Scott were to share the stage and usher in an exciting era of their career. Surely they’ll have a big 2024 to capitalize on, and we hope that there are more genre fusions to come from these groups.

Travis Scott Invites 41 To His MSG Concert

In addition, the UTOPIA superstar also recently shared a time-lapse video of what it takes to build his stage for this tour. Seeing these behind-the-scenes clips of the magic is always incredibly interesting, especially when it’s comprised of unique visual set-ups and spacing when compared to the crowd organization. Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus tour certainly fits that bill, with a stage that looks more like a patch of land than a solid surface for an artist to perform on. Nevertheless, that’s part of the charm of this trek, and yet another instance of him knowing how to bring something to life.

Circus Maximus Stage Set-Up: Watch Time-Lapse

Meanwhile, although this tour faced some unfortunate delays, it seems like it recovered and continued its success, hopefully into the new year. With that in mind, what other special guests would you like to see the “MODERN JAM” hitmaker bring out next? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments section down below. Travis Scott was scheduled to bring his Circus Maximus tour to Chicago last night (December 15), but his show didn’t go on as planned. Countless fans were left disappointed when the Houston native announced that the show had been postponed. Travis Scott Promises Rescheduled Chicago Shows

This isn’t the first time Chicago hip-hop heads have been left disappointed this month. Travis Scott’s postponement follows Nicki Minaj’s recent Jingle Ball cancellation, which was similarly announced only a day prior to the show. “Hope it doesn’t make you sad,” she told fans on Twitter earlier this month. “I won’t be able to perform tmrw in #Chicago for Jingle Ball.”

She went on to announce that Lil Wayne would be performing in her place. “I was so excited to see you guys. Pls accept my sincerest apologies. I’ll make it up to you on the Chicago stops of my tour early next year. Details to come,” she added. Nicki’s since announced her tour in support of Pink Friday 2, which is scheduled to stop at Chicago’s United Center in April.
